YOU DON'T HAVE A DANCE CAREER!!!!! YOU DON'T HAVE ANY FUCKING CAREER!!!!! You know what people with dance careers don't have to do? They don't have to run all over the place stealing dance moves from other people when they have a choreograph a few minutes of a dance. You fucking fraud. Amen AND Hallelujah! Twit is a dance legend. In her own mind. And if I thought for one minute that any of this "drama" was for real, I might work up enough energy to care. But since it's not, I'm not bothered. Twit and Todd clearly only wanted to show how great they are at acting. Which they aren't. But oh well. So the crew are obviously setting up some redemption scene for Todd, so which way do we think it will go? Will he come crawling back before the next "dance battle" and save the day? Or will he wait until after Twit "wins" the battle and come back begging for forgiveness? I'm going to need popcorn to get through the next couple of episodes, that's for sure! And I've shared many a room when traveling with my gay BFF and we've never once shared a bed. That's just so ewwwww. I don't want anyone touching me when I'm sleeping. I once shared a bed with a married friend of mine and she obviously thought I was her husband after she went to sleep, as I woke up with her draped over my back. I was not comfortable. She drooled. LOL I think Todd was mostly upset because it was Twit who the Marshall focused on. My gaydar went off big time when I saw him. Maybe Todd was thinking that THEY'D catch eye and end up in a romance? But anyway, if Twit really had plans with Todd (which we know they didn't, because they'd read the script already and knew about the video thing), then she should have stuck to the plan and told the Marshall, "Thanks, but no thanks". 7 Link to comment

Ocean Chick April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 Oh, and another thing I just remembered - Todd described this class as a "Master Class", which is something for those with a good base of training. Yet I remember seeing several very young girls in that class - something I doubt would happen in a real master class. And then he remarked about how many people were there. Which looked to be less than 50. Is 50 in a class so very remarkable? Didn't look like teeming hordes to me. And if Twit is so desperate for cuddles and human touch, she should just hire a male escort and be done with it. For enough money, they'll ignore the stench and dampness and take care of her needs. And the rest of humanity would be safe from her. 8 Link to comment

riverblue22 April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 I'm sure the invitation to shoot the video was planned ahead by TLC. Further promotion for the dance guy (didn't catch his name) and more footage for the show. How much of New York as seen by Whitney does the audience really want to see? I doubt the video will ever be shown on youtube. I wonder if Whitney is hoping that if she can just get a guy in bed snuggling with her, they will get turned on (cuz who wouldn't--it's fabulous Whitney!!!!) and she will get them to fall in love with her? Because Whitney just knows she's great in bed! 2 Link to comment

It also takes over your brain to the point where it becomes its own personality within you. It has much to do with "control" issues and sustenance is a very easy thing to control--no one can force someone to eat (very simplistic explanation). Sorry to digress. Just a teeny annoyance of mine, AN is very misunderstood. Back on track......... Whit does have some serious issues going on that probably need to be dealt with in order for her to make healthy changes that will stick. I wasn't lumping it together with addictions. LOL I think it is just a matter of personal boundaries, I've shared beds with girlfriends before, wasn't a big deal. But also unlike Whit I am not starved for physical attention of any kind so it was just a straight girl in bed with with a gay guy and maybe a little snuggling, maybe not. I mean most people enjoy a little physical attention even if it is completely platonic. A few years ago I was visiting a married female friend and we shared a bed in a hotel. Her husband knew and was fine with it because I'm super gay and I've known her longer than he has. And just to put The Fitness Marshall to rest, he is definitely gay because I have eyes and ears but if you need more evidence: Quote Moving to the rhythm of pop and hip-hop music has always played a major role in the life of the 22-year-old. Since he was a little boy, Britney Spears impressed him with her unique movements. Until today she is his big source of inspiration. ... With this dedication he has already gathered an incredible fan base across all his social media channels and he will not give up until he achieves his goal: being the Britney Spears of the fitness world. goodbyeglittergirl April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 So I was really excited by the prospect of this episode, because I LOVE the Fitness Marshall. He really lives out body positivity and his exercise videos on YouTube are really fun. I went to one of his "cardio concerts" (what Whit was calling a workshop) about a month ago and LOVED it. Now, that said, I am not in great shape. I do Fitness Marshall videos about 3 times a week for about 30 minutes at a time, but I am overweight and consider myself out of shape. I did the ENTIRE cardio concert, full out, and did not puke. So I am not really buying the Todd puking from exertion deal unless he was hungover or getting over a bug or something. I am an exercise puker from way back and I was TOTALLY fine. I wish he'd gotten more screen time as something other than a Whit-fan so that people could see more of him for who he is - because he's fabulous. I thought Todd acted like an ahole this episode but assume that's for dramatic purposes. 3 Link to comment

Ketzel April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 (edited) I have disliked Todd since he called Kerryn the c-word for pointing out a few home truths about Whitney's behavior. Even before that, I found his clumsy dancing (didn't he once say that Whitney had taught him everything he knows about dance?) and his pissy diva attitudes off-putting. And while I firmly believe that everything about this episode was as staged as all the other "opportunities" Whitney has been given this season, I still think Todd had reason to be irritated by the way he was portrayed in this episode. His complaint about Whitney's inability to see anyone's needs but her own was legit. It starts with the set-up that Todd was going to New York to take a "master class/workshop" with The Fitness Marshall, one of his dance heroes!!!) and had an extra ticket/pass so he invited Whitney to go with him. Already the show is shading the truth. This wasn't a master class, at least not as that term is generally understood in the performing arts world. The Fitness Marshall has been touring around doing 60 minute classes open to all, no experience necessary, followed by meet-and-greets at @$45 a ticket for some time now. In fact, he did two classes in Charlotte in February of 2016, but perhaps that didn't suit TLC's shooting schedule. Or the producers' desire to get Whitney on an airplane. The class in New York was at the end of November, 2016 and was advertised with the notice that the class would be filmed for television, and a release would be required of all the participants. So Whitney and Todd arrive with the TLC film crew and take up their positions front and center of the stage. (And as someone who has attended many actual master classes taught by ardently admired celebrity dancers, I can assure you that in an actual class that piece of real estate would be hard fought for. Sometimes literally, with elbows and yelling. Especially in New York City. I expect other participants were told to keep that area clear, or TLC had it marked off in some way.) So much for Whitney, the anonymous fabulous one, locking eyes with Marshall as she danced seductively before him, spontaneously inspiring him to include her in his new video. (Which doesn't appear to exist online, as far as I can tell.) It's clear everyone, including Todd, knew that was the plan/storyline. It would have been kinder to him, though, to show Whitney making a genuine effort to include him, rather than gleefully accepting Marshall's invitation and then asking "Could we include Todd?" ("We?!") Would it have killed her to respond to Marshall's offer with, "Wow, I'm flattered, I'd love to, but Todd is my bff and eternal dance partner and he was the one who brought me here, he's a huge fan. Could we both be in the video? I would hate for him to feel overlooked or left out." Then, after Marshall sorrowfully refuses, because this fake video he's making with her is only because she's enormous and Todd's weight is proportional to his height, so he doesn't serve Marshall's purpose, Whitney could have shown some actual concern for Todd's feelings. She keeps saying she's an actress, after all. Maybe ask Todd if he'd mind very much if she did the video, pouring on all the sad and lonely fat girl who nevernevernever gets to do ANYTHING crap, until he caves in and says go for it. Whitney could look sensitive to Todd's feelings while still getting her own way; Todd could look less like an afterthought and more like a generous friend, despite his legitimate disappointment. Instead, as always, they both come across as whiney jerks, although I'd score Whitney higher on the jerk scale this time than Todd. Edited to add photo. Babs would be my gal if she would only get a job and contribute to the economy. Point Number 2: Speaking of embarrassing, I would melt through the concrete if, upon reaching Manhattan, my companion yelled out, "We made it! New York City, yeah!" I sank down into the sofa cushions when I heard that. How gauche. Point Number 3: (and this is not specific to Whitney or Todd:) why must dancing entail such ugly face-making? the grunty-looks, the pooched-up lips? I noticed that during the laughably-named "dance battle," and also on Dance Moms. Such ugliness! It's unsupportable. I must add: Todd should stop wearing little shorts, and start wearing long pants like an adult. Also, the name "Todd" is a cross between "toddler" and "turd" and he really should change it. ClareWalks April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 I'm at the point with the Fitness Marshall class, and wow is he fucking annoying. ClareWalks April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 Just finished the episode. Final verdict: Whitney and Todd BOTH suck, but when Whitney referred to Todd's "perfect fucking body" and the privilege that gives him, I just rolled my eyes. Finally the truth comes out that Whitney is jealous of people with good bodies, and has no shame whatsoever about getting TV shows or YouTube videos JUST because she is a big fat woman. "Let me have this one thing, BECAUSE I'm fat," bitch please. You know all that respect you claim Todd gets because he isn't massively obese? You could have that, too, if you gave a single shit. I'm not gonna cry for you, Argentina, because people think less of you because you are fat. People are judgmental assholes. That is a fact. I'm sure people look at me with my big nose and think I'm disgusting, the difference is I don't give a rat's crapbag about it and don't live my life as if I do. Whitney is so dependent on the adoration of others that it is truly depressing to watch. John M April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 Whit was barely dancing in that class, this was clearly a cross promotional thing and as such there wasn't any reason not to include Todd, like everything else on this show it was a contrived situation to attempt to make Whit like this amazing dancer that everyone is drawn to and Todd was cast in the role of bitchy queen for the plot. Todd was cast for the show, in the shared bed scene he made it clear that he is not really as close to Whit as she thinks he is and this was his moment to throw some shade that he probably has been wanting to throw. I think every social gay has had the fat girl that just hangs around and thinks their biggest BFF in the world when in reality you barely tolerate them. Todd wants an acting career, he is getting exposure out of this and that's all there is to it. I don't get the impression that Todd is much closer to Whit than casual acquaintance that fit the storyline TLC wanted to show, this is just a paying gig for him. Would you want to be good friends with Whit? And shut up about that goddamn dance battle, NO ONE CARES! 7 Link to comment

I'm also pretty certain that the show is deeply embarrassing to her parents and that they feel obligated to participate in it because TLC says they have to be part of the show for there to be a show and their lazy unemployed daughter who refuses to practice self-care, act or present herself in a way that would make her employable has no other prospects to pull down a decent wage. I want to see Whit in 5 years after her 15 minutes of fame are over, I feel comfortable assuming she will be confined to a scooter if not worse and either living off her parents or or SSDI if she hasn't put a lot of money away from the show in her speaking gigs. Condescending remarks & tone are probably not an especially effective way of promoting change in a person, especially one's daughter. I'm not saying enable, but the remarks she's made to Whit, on TV no less, seem more nasty & self serving. And she's obviously not so embarrassed by her daughter to not get in on her own 5 minutes of fame, complete with a platform for public put downs of Whit. If I were unhappy with my adult child's appearance or behavior, I would either stay off their stupid show, or at least not insult her in front of the world. I agree her future looks bleak riding the TLC gravy train, because eventually given her lifestyle she may end up crashing. 9 Link to comment

They don't play along and then what? Everything is the same except their fat, lazy, unwashed, disabled daughter is also broke and probably living in their house again eating their food. I tell you what I would do, clinch my teeth and pray to god Whit can make something out of her life with this I'm fat and lazy and smell but I'm fabulous and love my body scam before she ends up on My 600-lb life even if it means I have to go on TV with her on occasion. And echoing what someone else said, yeah, as a gay man around Todds age it is just wonderful, honey wake me up when you have to genuinely worry about walking to your car because someone might bash your head in for being fat. Tell me what it's like to worry if work finds out you are gay that you might be fired. Oh yeah, all those fat people being kicked out of restaurants. Yeah, life is just so fucking awesome for us gay men with average bodies (Todd hardly has a perfect body). Poor Whit, some people say things about fat people that you don't like, let me alert my friend with a trans kid that she is genuinely worried if she will be able to get him into adulthood without killing himself, she will get right on with making sure people shoveling food into their mouths don't feel bad about it on occasion. Dianaofthehunt April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 Where do the smell comments come from? Is it established that Whitney genuinely stinks? Question asked in all innocence. What happened to the diabetes scare? Does she have it or doesn't she? Link to comment

I mean I haven't personally smelled her but she gets drenched in sweat from normal activities, admit to frequently not showering and has physical difficulty with her personal hygiene so it's safe to assume she doesn't smell great. 4 Link to comment

I think she doesn't wash her hair a ton b/c of the extensions - b/c her hair looks just like mine if I go even one day without washing it - very oily. That said, oily hair is not stinky hair. It's a long-held prejudice against fat people that we all smell. 5 Link to comment

Question asked in all innocence. Because she has stated on tv that she doesn't shower daily. Or even every other day. And you can see the state of her hair, how greasy and dirty it looks most of the time. Ergo: stink assumed. ETA: We know she wouldn't recognize if she was stinky because she obviously can't tell when the cats have been crapping in the corners of the room. It takes someone else to point that out to her before she notices it. Which makes me assume that she's got something wrong with her sense of smell. If so, then maybe she doesn't realize that she needs to bathe more often than she does. Edited April 5, 2017 by Ocean Chick 3 Link to comment

What happened to the diabetes scare? Does she have it or doesn't she? I guess I think someone who doesn't shower regularly, lets her hair get very greasy, sweats so profusely that she talks about it constantly, and lives in a very humid state probably stinks from time to time, esp. perhaps, after a workout when she's soaked in sweat. And, no, the diabetes story arc has been totally dropped. MBFFL seems to drop every story line -- except dance battles -- after 1 to 3 episodes. Esp. any story line that shows anything that might not be fabulous, such as a health problem. 7 Link to comment

If they had said no & her show went ahead anyway, then they could've just stayed off it & she can use her show earnings to stay in her own place. I wonder what her occupation was before; she had lived abroad & presumably worked there, but doing what I don't know. Edited April 5, 2017 by gonecrackers never mind 1 Link to comment

She taught English in South Korea and worked as a producer on a local radio show which is not anything resembling the glamorous or well compensated position that it may seem like which explains why she was living at her parents. 2 Link to comment

I get proxy-embarrassed super, super easily, so this was excruciating for me to watch! And then afterward, when FM was all, 'Wow! I could tell from the way you were looking at me you were really feeling it!' offering her a polite out, she OF COURSE has to respond that she was 'trying to give back what I was getting from you!' as if he actually was eye-fucking her. Yes Whitney, the handsome young GAY MAN clearly wants you. I will never understand how a person can be so self-loathing and so narcissistic at the same time. #delusional And while I'm on it, I thought it was telling that, for her new boyfriend the Fitness Marshall, she will go low--how low? To the flo'--bad knees be damned. 1 hour ago, AZChristian said: IA couple of weeks ago, I walked over 1/2 mile up a steep dirt path to go ziplining. Get it AZC! gonecrackers April 5, 2017 Share April 5, 2017 Thanks... People teach English as a second language classes in the US. It may not provide a lot of cash, but she has no one to support but herself. She could pull two jobs if needed. In no way does she need to be making an ass out of herself on TV, except, I guess, for the attention. 2 Link to comment

Acrid! Acrid, Ohio!' were his exact words, leading Whit to find MULTIPLE piles of cat shit. In her living spaces. So fabulous! 8 Link to comment
