The kids' fight over and in the bedroom was AWESOME!  A couple sloppy moments, but overall, well done.  And it had me rolling.  Between that and Teddy gut-punching Jimmy in lieu of the Heimlich…dead.

The only part I didn't like was the parents calling AFTER Chip gave his phone to the feds.

I liked this back in the '80's, when it was a movie called Uncle Buck.  If memory serves, the series based on that failed, too.

Only watched the pilot so far because I'm test-driving Hulu.  Not impressed, although I did get a laugh out of them eating the owl at the end.

I've been meaning to try Sunny, but can't say that Kaitlyn is motivating me any to give that a look.  I'll probably give the next couple eps a shot and see how it goes, but based on this I'm seeing formulaic at best.

This was a funny episode.  The fight was amazing.  The Heimlich "punch". 

I thought she was going to vomit over the side of the boat, but fall off! 

Even if the parents did call at the end, after he gave them the phone, they couldn't have called sooner?  Like weeks ago? 

The show is growing on me.

I feel the parent's only called because of the frequent butt dials (probably worried the kids might turn on them).

I could not handle the shoe heel going into Teddy's eye. That was way too far for me - I can't handle eyeball stuff. Sweet jeebus.

This is one of only a few shows that consistently makes me bust out laughing. I think after a shaky start it has really hit its stride. Wonder if any of the Sunny gang will ever drop by?

So I just caught up on these, and Kaitlin Olson can definitely carry a show. I was worried a Dee character would only work as support, but she's solid. The show also isn't afraid to push lines even while being broadcast friendly, as the "accidental" phone call demonstrated.

What I'm not sure is working is 2 out of the 3 kids. Sofia Black-D'Elia (Sabrina's actress) is obviously not 17, which the show is not helping by how often they seem to write her as a peer to Mickey.  Fighting or as co-conspirators, neither way is it selling that she is a teen. This episode made it seem much better since fighting with her brother brought her down to that level, but it's hard to maintain.  She is doing a good job as an actress though.

Chip's character is going to need some other quirks. I get that he's enamored by the family money and wants to be "the man", but it's not going to be enough. Apparently he gets an A plot in episode 8 so maybe that will help. (I also felt the acting slipped a bit in spots, but it's hard to play over-the-top pompous without the acting showing.)

Overall not bad and I'll probably try to catch more but it's not appointment TV yet.

Poor Ben is going to need all of the therapy soon. At least he saw some quality movies? Aliens certainty is better than Alien anyway.

This show just cracks me up so much. The big fight between Chip and Sabrina was amazing, as was Mick falling off the boat. It felt like classic slapstick.

Of course Jimmy slinks back in at the end.

They rarely use real teenagers on TV shows.  90210 had a 31 year old playing a teenager. 

I don't see that as a major problem for the show.  Plus you can argue in her set of friends and peers they likely dress, act, look much older than they are anyway.

Screaming like a girl when he thought he killed Sabrina was a good start - that was pretty funny. That kid annoyed the hell out of me in that Geico commercial where he played Peter Pan but he's a pretty good actor.

I don't know, it seems to all be rolling right off his back. Some kids are too sensitive to that sort of thing and some kids aren't even phased by it.

I loved when Mick referenced a "diddler" like in Always Sunny. Also cracked up at her falling off the boat and the brother screaming for his sister after she went through the window. I'm not usually a laugh out loud at TV type gal so these moments really got me going. This show has gotten pretty good!

Try Sunny. Kaitlyn is incredible there. This show is okay, but Sunny is out of this world and very unique.

I couldn't believe how much I liked it.

I thought it was hysterical.  Something new.

I like how the show doesn't pull any punches on either characterization.

There were a few actual laugh out loud moments for me in this episode.  I like that they are keeping it pretty dark. 

I am sad that the Teddy will probably not be around again (mainly because I think the actor is super handsome.) I also kind of love how much Alba dislikes Jimmy.

I also adore little Ben and how he kind of just wanders through the chaos of his life.

My favorite episode so far.  I like how they integrate all of the featured characters.  And, yes, I laughed each time the accountant stated "that's the opposite of what I said..."

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia did a take on the Caddyshack poop in the pool scene a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I think The Mick's attempt paled in comparison. (And I have to wonder how much audience overlap there is between the two shows.) This show is still hilarious though.

I normally don't laugh at poop jokes, but this was pretty hilarious. I loved seeing their sweaty, long suffering money guy who is SO sad to be left out of the Pembertons white color crime.

I laughed when Mickey threw the computer in the fountain and the columnist said "that wasn't mine" as he continued to type furiously on his phone.  Oh, and Alba and all the mojitos.  lol

The only thing that annoyed me (which, I know, grain of salt... tv.... not real...) is that there's no way those kids would still have access to any money or assets in their parents name.  Maybe if their parents had put it all in Mickey's name without her knowing... that might be more realistic and still humorous.  Then Mickey can payback with the same snarky comments that the kids have been giving her.

I KNEW the headless girl would be either the sister or Mick! And FINALLY an appropriate response to incest! I hated last week's ep, and I was concerned that "The Master" was a fluke, but there was some laugh out loud stuff in this one. Mick's "defense" of Chip, Alba and "Benito" and the car. "I like fire" "I know that you do, Benito. I know that you do." Ben will either be in prison or running the country as an adult.

Maybe Alba loves fire as much as Ben (plus there's always more cars).  I actually really love what they've done with Alba.  She's really become part of the family.  This episode was great.

Well, to a bunch of horny teenage boys it's a compliment. It kind of cracked me up they got away with using it on a broadcast network show. It's kind of racy, at the very least. The show really pushes the boundaries of what they can get away with.

I so knew that the picture was going to be Sabrina, as soon as they said you couldn't see the girls face, but their reactions totally made it worth it. Oh my God, their looks of horror were amazing! Also loved Mickey quoting various prep school movies, and the principles completely baffled reactions. I hope we see him again at some point.

I liked the episode and all, but why wouldn't Chip just say that he downloaded the picture off the internet? I guess because that might still allow the principal to "crap all over his future," but also, why was there the assumption that someone had to have sent it to him to begin with? 

Also, Sabrina is 17, so she should probably be more cautious about sending pictures of herself, like maybe not sending them. I know it's probably common, but it bothers me on TV when it seems like no one cares about child pornography laws. --Moreso annoyance at this in general than for this show specifically.

I think the issue was that if he admitted it was his (that he had downloaded it himself) he would be in trouble, it would go into his permanent record, etc.; so  saying someone sent it to him alleviates his responsibility, but puts him in a bind because he's expected to snitch on who did it.

LOVED that they moved all that stuff into the bedroom! Loved Alba getting stoned and singing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Ben is just adorably cute, but all the kids were out of control. At the same time, I don't see how Mick has earned any of their respect, and even the hug at the end seemed forced.

I think this one really took a wrong turn, and I don't even want to get into a discussion about the merits of spanking.

I've started to wonder who the hell is paying the bills for these people. Even if the house is paid for, someone has to be paying the utilities and buying the groceries, and none of them work. Even if the parents had set up some sort of auto-pay system - surely the IRS froze all their assets when they skipped the country. Is Alba even getting paid anymore?

It was mentioned in a previous episode that not all of their assets were frozen. So they still have money to pay the bills and Alba.

I think they said only a percentage of the assets were frozen and they still have multi millions available to them.

I don't want to debate the real wold merits of spanking but if any kids in a fictional world ever deserved spankings it is those 3.

Yeah, I don't want to get into the actual issues of spanking or whether or not its ever a suitable punishment, but I can at least understand why Mickey went there. The kids were out of control. They even took Ben to a crazy alcohol party. That's not alright!

I loved Alba singing The Lions Sing Tonight! She's got some decent pipes! And Chips friend being down for a three way with a hot girl!

I do buy that the kids would earn at least a little bit of respect by giving the kids an ultimatum. They've already established that the kids do better with Mickey than without, and I buy that she would leave them if they didn't shape up, even if it means leaving the mansion. Cleaning and living with Mickey is better than being on their own, or having their awful grandma back (I know she's out of commission, but maybe they have more shitty relatives who could show up) and they seem to get along ok with Mickey on good days at least.

Is it weird and really uncomfortable? Definitely. But Is it unrealistic (based on age alone)? Not really.

I mean, I've worked at different levels of secondary schools, and you would probably only expect the issue of kids having sex on school grounds to start in high school-- or, you know, never-- but as it turns out, that is not always the case.

Anyway, I agree that the kids were out of control, but also that Micky needs to do more to earn their respect if that's what she wants.

This episode was a bit over the top. The whole huge mess thing. And I am wondering what Alba does now. Wasn't she the maid? I know Mick told her she was an 'equal' now (or whatever term she used) so does that mean she just hangs out sponging off the family and being Micks sidekick? I love Alba though, she seems to be the one taking care of Ben (mostly).
