Kim, Tyler's mother seems to be enjoying her celebrity look as Gary's mom seems to be as well. I guess I can't blame them but if you think back to the how they used to look, they  definitely are way more image conscious.

Yea, Tyler's mom definitely didn't care about her appearance in the early episodes (which was fine with me).  I seem to recall a windbreaker type jacket with a company logo that was obscured by Gaffer's Tape applied by the crew in one episode.  Now she's always gussied up, even if she's just dropping by C & T's house in the middle of the day.

Can someone please punch Farrah in the face? She's

Absolutely insufferable. I wonder how long her employees last before they start clawing their eyes out.  Also, Farrah bitches so much about her relationship with Deb, but does nothing to change it. What kind of example is that setting for Sophia?

Cate: Don’t you have better things to spend money on, than your trailer? How about your mental health? Nova is adorable. I don’t think Cate and Ty will last. He’ll get tired of her BS.

Amber: Stop telling us that Matt isn’t a douche, and show us.

Maci: I’m glad that you and Ryan are being civil for Bentley’s sake. Does Ryan hold the record for most significant others in the franchise?

Maybe so. But he also holds the record for dating the most people while not knocking anyone else up again, so that's a win for him (IMO). One thing I'll say for him, as entitled, lazy, and man-boy as he is, he does seem to take precautions not to have another child or a "miracle baby" with some chick looking for a MTV trap baby. So good on him for that.

They also just got done filming that other MTV show.   Tyler is full of shit as usual.  I get the vibe that whatever Tyler wants to spend money on is okay but he doesn't like it when cate wants to buy something expensive.

^This. My guess is Tyler doesn't fret about trips to Comic Con and thousand-plus dollar Batmam costumes.

I think Tyler will do anything he possibly can to make himself look good on camera and this is why he's all "worried" about money when Cate wants to spend it. I don't doubt for a second that he's very good to himself and has no bounds when it comes to spending on himself. Since Cate is a hot mess, it's easy to blame her for being foolish and willing to spend away-- which I agree with-- but Tyler is using that to make himself look good when he's probably no better than she is when it comes to spending money.

All these lunches and conversations with his mother are sickening. He has this air of "poor me" as if we're supposed to think he's some kind of hero performing a public service by staying with this defective person while he is Mr. Perfect. Gag.

I don't see Nova as being shy. She doesn't have that shy face and doesn't slink back shyly when someone interacts with her. She just looks at everyone-- including her parents-- as if they are total strangers to her. I find that very odd. She doesn't look like she's emotionally attached to anyone.

I saw some amazing detective work on Reddit and they found public record of three flips, all in Matt's name.  No record of owning the house they live in, that is 30+ minutes from Leah, which means they likely rent.

Wait a minute, they made a big ass deal about buying that house in the nice neighborhood and about how they didn't fit in and blah blah blah. And what the hell kind of house flippers RENT?  I can't stand either of them.

Also?  Amber mentioned she stopped kickboxing because a judge made her (which sounds sketch as hell but whatever), so why doesn't she start that again?  She enjoyed it and it's awesome exercise which would do wonders for both her weight and psyche.  It's not like she doesn't have the time to devote to a strong exercise regimen

  • Love 10

Me thinks that Amber wants to lose weight without putting in the effort. Hell I don't want to go to the gym and exercise, but I do. The same goes for Cait. You can bitch and bitch, but you gotta get out and move around.

I really now understand why everyone thinks that Farrah's child is feral. Girl needs to brush her hair once in a while.

  • Love 5

I wonder if Sophia is tender-headed? If so, she needs a haircut, not a hairbrush. My daughter (5) is incredibly tender-headed. She's also on the Autism spectrum and has a host of sensory issues, does not handle pain well at all. So she has a Ramona Quimby style bob. My husband is always asking if I am ever going to grow her hair out. NO. Because brushing the few inches she has is a nightmare. She would totally look like Sophia if she had long hair; I'd be terrified to brush it.

  • Love 3

I think Sophia has ratty hair because Farrah expects her to brush it and take care of it on her own. This is the same mother who said she has her life and Sophia has her own. She also made Sophia her own boss and owner of a boutique who apparently can hire and fire people.

If going by what Amber says is true, then she still can't be participate in kick-boxing because she is still on parole. I am assuming the judge doesn't want Amber participating in anything where she can be called out for being aggressive and thus, violating her parole. With that said, I have never heard of such a thing. I didn't realize someone can be stopped from participating in a sport or exercise where there is contact simply because they are on parole or probation. Then again, I don't know anyone personally who is on probation or parole.

Tyler is full of shit if he is not spending money foolishly. Here are just two of the cars he and Cate own:

Both of those girls are so big that it wouldn't take much for them to lose weight.  They really could just walk and that would help.  Walk 30 minutes a day.  I don't know what the fall is like where they both live but I just had the lovliest past couple of months taking my son on two walks a day.  And I lost 50 pounds. The weight loss is great but mostly it was so nice to just enjoy the fresh air and nice scenery and time with my son.  I don't understand why these two wastes of life can't do that too.  It was so easy.

Not to defend Tyler (because I can't stand him), but he's had those two cars for almost 3 years now and they cost nowhere near what Amber has paid for vehicle leasing for the past 6 months.

Did he buy them restored like that? If not, that costs money. They also have the Dodge Charger, the truck and that SUV.  That makes 5 vehicles they own.

Tyler is spending money while crying foul at Cate wanting to splurge.

No two people with no jobs or future, need all those vehicles which cost money to maintain.

Even if Caitlyn's paying over $1k/mo on a lease, those two cars are way more than $6k.  Not even including restoration costs, like GreatKazu mentions.

Why do they need 5 cars?  They have nowhere to go!

Just think of all the calories they would burn if they had their couches strapped to their butts while they were walking!

It drives home the point that it is not just Cate who is spending money, and if Tyler is feeling the squeeze of money getting tight, it doesn't help that he went out and purchased two classic cars even if it was three years ago.  That is money being spent foolishly. Tyler then has the audacity to get on Catelynn's ass for wanting to spend money. Maybe he should set the example. Instead, he is doing the whole "Do as I say, not as I do."

My husband owns a classic car and belongs to a classic car club. It cost a lot of money to restore his car. He put in over $15k to restore his car to its original look. Even if Tyler bought those cars already restored, those two cars did not come cheap at all. Those are classics.

Honestly, I know everyone has their things and I wouldn't begrudge Tyler collecting classic/older cars and fixing them up IF I thought he was doing anything to prepare for the future. If Nova had some savings put away for when she turned 18, if he had a degree/certificate/trade of some sort, if all debts were paid off - then I wouldn't give a rat's ass how many cars they had. But they just seem like another case of spending it as fast as they can bring it in. I previously thought they were the least flashy of the Teen Mom franchise, with their older house. But now they're starting to get out of hand.

I am curious to know how much Tyler pays in insurance each year for the classic cars. I restored a '65 Mustang about 25 years ago. I ended up selling it because the insurance was more than I could comfortably afford at the time.

Probably not much. PIP and Liability minimum, just to cover other people's property damage. He'll just eat his own damage or fix it out of pocket. I'd be shocked if he even knew you could have full coverage on a vehicle with no payments. But even that won't cover any customization. That's extra. No way he's paying that amount. He probably takes his chances and surely doesn't let anyone else drive them. Definitely not his woman driver, heifer wife that scratched his chrome on a fucking fifth wheel dually. Asswipe.

My husband had a '65 Mustang. It was customized. He sold it. He had full coverage on it, but it would not have helped in a total collision since customization is not covered.

I had a policy through AAA called a Gold Seal policy. They paid for the extras but it was still over $400 per month. At the end of the year I had paid more in insurance than the car was worth. Getting it appraised for the policy was a nightmare in itself. I should have just went with the regular policy. Young and stupid is my only excuse. Well that and an FU to my ex who tried to get it in the divorce. LOL

I just caught up on my TV watching. Re Maci breastfeeding, I thought she said that she "never tried it . . . wasn't interested". I didn't hear her say that the kids weren't interested. Did anyone watch with captions on?

LOL at Amber getting riled up at the question about missing the wedding for plastic surgery. She got so snotty and than actually confirms that she did miss it because of her surgery. What a dumbass.

I agree with whoever upthread said that it was strongly implied there was a moratorium on Leah's visits while Christopher was staying with Amber. Would love to know more about that since Amber constantly lies about what visitation is allowed and what she follows through on.

As much as I snark on Maci for being an underachiever I did like that she said getting her degree was her biggest accomplishment. When the question was answered I was sure she was going to say trapping a man.

To me, Maci came across as the most mature on the ask questions, or whatever, show. Amber was just goofy and Cate seemed pissed off. Cate contradicted herself at least once. They were asked how they get the kids to eat healthy foods. Right away Cate said, tell me how. Then all of a sudden Nova was a great eater and loves broccoli.  Is that a new word for crackers?

'Crackers' is the new word for cigarette butts.  Nova loves eating them.

As I recall she said she was not interested in doing it. My immediate thought was that as soon as she dropped those babies she wanted to be able to drink at will and not worry about things like pump and dump and storing frozen milk, etc.

could it be her age?  I know it's been decades since I had boy-child and people are more into natural things now, but I was an early 20something and I was just like, "yeah, no, let's just make it easy & give him formula!"

full coverage is a rip off, just about any insurance is a rip off. paying hundreds of dollars just IN CASE something happens? Much easier to just pay out of pocket IF something happens. Insurance companies obviously make a ton more than they pay out.

Same theory could be applied to health insurance.  Unfortunately when the "in case something happens" could put you in financial ruins, it's best to be protected.

Because she is the only one who recently had a newborn. Twice in less than 2 years.

Amber should have been asked if Matt breastfeeds her.

I don't get why it's even a topic of discussion, to be honest.  Who gives a shit if they breastfeed?  Why isn't anyone asking what kind of formula she uses?  What kinds of bottles?  That's right, because it doesn't matter.  (This isn't directed at you Katzu.  I get a little defensive because I received a LOT of grief over not breastfeeding my kids, despite attempts.)

LOL to the Amber comment.

For me it's not that she didn't breastfeed (that's her right). It was the comment that her kids weren't interested.

I agree about the breastfeeding topic. With all the other questions that could have been asked, Nessa and MTV try to pretend this is still Teen Mom instead of some reality show about young mothers getting paid to sit around and complain about how stressful life is for them as they cash their six figure checks.
