Well, we're really only allowed to disclose that type of information to people who are residents walnut queen, but I'll break the rules just for you.  We pattern our diet on the ladies of Michigan and eat lots and lots of potatoes.  And, of course, testicles from farm animals.  Only after they're deep fried though and we insist on eating them with an extra side dish of potatoes!  Our appetizers are chips and salsa so David would be happy.  Hope that helps :)

I think Brooks is a Mr. Right Now for Vicki.  Maybe because Brooks is so flawed she feels as if she can control him.  She is a big girl and needs to decide if this is how she wants to be perceived by the public with her boyfriend choices.  Personally, I would not want Vicki dating any man I cared about-she is just too sleazy.

I could care less about Brooks' dalliances with hookers, etc. Vickie is 50+ years old. She's well aware of Brooks' flaws, so if she wants to cavort with him, it's on her. Its like she said in the reunion, if she wants to be with him and winds up getting her heart broken, she has no one to blame but herself. It's her life.

The info came from Brianna (last season or the season before). Brianna saw emails and texts for years. It was obvious that Vicki and Brooks were having an affair. Brianna also confirmed that Donn had a long term affair going. Talk about a fucked up marriage.

I see the term "open marriage" tossed around a lot, yet I've never known any couple that actually had such a relationship. To me that is too mature a stance for most couple to take. I think it's more likely that the marriage disintegrated and each partner is satisfying their own physical and emotional needs and to hell with their legal partner. Then usually something changes for one of them which sparks the divorce.

I don't see Vicki and Donn being "enlightened" enough to have come up with such an arrangement.

Interesting that in this video below, Brooks seems to validate the claim that the guys get paid for appearing on the reunions. It doesn't sound like he was paid outside of that.  

 

Man, this guy is just a mess. As others have mentioned, Vicki and Brooks have been together for a long time. None of this could possibly be a surprise to her. I agree that she should do whatever she wants to find her happiness.  It is just hard to believe that happiness and this guy could be tied together in any manner. Especially when holding on to him means getting further away from the daughter you "love more than anything in the world".

I've been watching the RHOC episodes on Hulu and am midway through Season 4. We've started the arc of "trouble in the Gunvalson household." It amazes me that Vicki talks about how her love tank is empty, when at the same time, she's not inviting Donn to Mexico (and he's hurt about it), she's traveling for work and seemingly not spending much quality time with him. And while I was appalled at how she couldn't even relax on a SPA DAY without taking her phone out to work during a pedicure, and was on her laptop in the limo, it wasn't cool of Donn to refer to her as a "lying sack of shit" in front of others. So now I guess we know that both had relationships on the side? 

 

I can only imagine what it takes to fill Vicki's tank. There was one absurd conversation she had with Brianna about Colby. She asked "Does he like me? Is he proud of me?" I thought, What a weird question to ask, about whether your daughter's boyfriend is proud of you. I think deep down, Vicki is wildly insecure and needs constant ego-stroking and validation, and behind why she likes to remind people that they benefit from her generosity and attention. I can see Donn getting burnt out on that, and can see some freeloader like Brooks glomming onto that and knowing exactly which buttons to push. He's content to let Vicki call the shots and be in control, even if her behavior would leave lots of men feeling emasculated - he's got an agenda. All he probably needs to do is tell her she's beautiful, she looks great, she's built an amazing business, she works hard and deserves a neck rub and dinner at the end of the day. And Vicki eats it up.

 

It amazes me that a tough woman like Vicki would know all this stuff about Brooks and be able to overlook it anyhow. That guy must be a hell of a schmoozer.

When someone becomes a public figure through entertainment, published author or professional sports I have always presumed their partner be it a wife or girlfriend did follow their career.  So to me Tamra and Brianna came off stupid as usual.  Eddie knew about Tamra's career before he dated her and watched her on the show.  Brianna's husband apparently didn't get the RHOC in Afghanistan so somehow he is pure.  I can't imagine Vicki dating anyone who didn't blow smoke up her butt and didn't mind be treated like a doormat.  From what Vicki and Brianna have both said is Vicki knew Brooks for quite some time before he was introduced on the show.  I can remember when Vicki came up with the first proclamation of her perfect vagina on a Mexico trip with Tamra-you can see Brooks in the photos. Tamra I believe was looking into getting a new one for Eddie. 

 

You have cited some excellent examples of Vicki's total lack of boundaries when it comes to her ego.  I can remember her crashing Michael's dorm and needing to be the center of attention.  I liked Vicki this season but remembering all her past behavior makes it difficult.  She has had too many seasons of bad behavior and lies, granted for the sake of production, but still the same I do tend to look at her with a jaundiced eye.

I went to the Freedom Acres website, and it looks just like I thought it would look. Very porny. FA did receive a respectable 4.5 star review out of three reviews over on Yelp.

I watched this episode today as well (thanks Delta for offering Bravo TV on your long flights. Made the time fly). I completely agree about Brianna. I had forgotten just how nasty she came across on that reunion. It was even worse to me in light of how horribly her own husband Ryan had acted to Lydia's sweet mother at the Season Finale Party, and about how Brianna didn't want to talk about it at all.

I sort of get why Brianna turned out the way she did, although still disappointed. Growing up with Vicki for a mother would seriously fuck a person up. It is way past time for Brianna to stop complaining about it, however. If she didn't like being controlled she needs to stop being controlling. Let Vicki live her life and make her mistakes. There is zero doubt in my mind that Brooks is one big mistake, which everyone else seems to realize.

It looks like Vicki and Brooks were trying to keep some personal information private with regard to the lawsuit regarding their Vodka. The judge has ruled against them. I wonder what they were trying to keep out?

I just watched the Turks & Caicos episodes, and it's tough to know what the "truth" is there. Donn was emotional and tearful during their vow renewal, and seemed like he just wanted to be acknowledged by Vicki, spend time with her, have his contributions to the marriage be recognized. And - compared to the other OC husbands - he wasn't controlling, just let her do her thing. I didn't wholly get the "he doesn't fill my love tank" stuff because I think Vicki's a very demanding, needy person where Donn is more low-key. But if Donn was swinging (and not including Vicki), and if he really had this "20 year affair," then it certainly puts a different face on things.

 

Maybe what Vicki was saying was, "Donn doesn't fill my love tank or speak the 5 Love Languages to me [the way this guy Brooks does]."

That would be really despicable if Brooks was lying about this. I can't imagine he would, knowing how terrible the aftermath would be when people find out he lied.

I can think of many people who deserve this fate in life (pedophiles, serial killers, animal abusers, etc) but other than that, even Brooks doesn't deserve cancer.

Maybe Vicki and Brooks think it will make a great story for next season if it is true. I'm sure Brianna is happy about it. P.S. I can't stand Brianna's husband.

My understanding is that stage 1 is localized, no cancer cells in any other body parts of lymph node. Stage 2 is when cancer cells are detected in nodes close to the original tumor. Stage 3 i\is when there are cells in nodes a distance from the original site and stage 4 is when it's spread to other organs.

 

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

He sees his children, I believe they are all still minors often, and if all they will miss him for his child support that is kind of sad.   Not to be cruel but I don't see Vicki as a nurturer.  I think it will cut into her good times way too much.
