What I find interesting is that she is soooo focused on the thigh gap that she doesn't see how awkward she looks. She'll end up a crone before her time.

It's probably second nature to her by now - the camera comes out & she immediately sets up. I say that because there was no reason for her to pose that way in her skirt when the spot where the "thigh gap" would be was hidden, but she did it anyway & it looked even 'more ridiculous'.

I absolutely agree. I also think there was a lot of disappointment in that family over that child being a girl and not a boy.

Yes...So sad and silly when people are disappointed over the gender of a baby.

Of course Jer and Auj probably see themselves as royal and it's the line of succession they're worried about.... Idiots.

Little Zach got busy and fathered the first grandson... I bet that burns their butt. 😂

Hello, I am new here to the site and this forum. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that Audrey tends to yawn a  good bit. Not sure if it is just normal yawning, a nervous tic , or out of boredom or wishing to look bored.  I saw it watching her arrival at Jackson's birthday party and it made me think of how she does it kind of as a habit it seems. Just a curious observation.  I am really surprised they did not come back for the show...I am behind on details. Was it their choice, were they not wanted back or do we know? I must admit I will miss seeing them for the silly entertainment factor and wanted to see Zach and Jeremy, wives and babies sharing time and seeing how things work out with them and the farm, etc.

I'm curious how Matt will react when Jeremy presents him with the first "golden grandson"...(average height)...will it knock Jackson down a notch..we all know Matt prefers Jeremy over Zach.  If Jer and Audrey don't get busy the first average height grandson may be from Jacob and Izzy.

I'm not aware of the genetics involved etc but is it possible for Zach and Tori to have an average sized baby?

  • Love 1

Yes. Zach has achondroplasia. It's  a dominant gene so every child he has will have a 50 percent chance of also being a dwarf. So, yes, there's a 50 percent chance they will have an average height child. Amy and Matt actually bucked the odds in that three of their four children were average height.

I also wonder if Jeremy's first average height son will knock Jackson out of the running but I suspect the more time passes, the more the role of first and best is cemented.  For Jackson's sake, I am very glad Ember was a girl because I absolutely see that the weird dynamic between Jeremy "always first" and Zach "always the loser in Jeremy's shining shadow" would have been recreated - complete with Auj actively noting how much taller her kid was.

Jeremy said they decided not to stay on the show because they're so busy.  Many of us think the producers said, "You're not little people, and your child is not a little person.  The show is about little people.  We don't see any reason to pay you for being on a show about little people.  Thanks for playing.  Good-bye."

I may be in the minority but I think it was their choice to leave, albeit a stupid one. Knowing how much they think of themselves my opinion is they felt they didn't need the show & would be a tremendous success on their own. Their huge egos have already inflated even more from the 'success' of their book. They've already got a second book deal going, I read here somewhere?  They think of themselves as authors & influencers; perhaps the family reality show is beneath them now, even though they would be nowhere at this point without having been a part of it.

You may be right, but it strikes me as interesting that - given the size of the house they bought - Jeremy decided he need to have an office on the farm.  I wonder how often the production crew has to remind him to stay out of shots as he proffers his expert advice on how a scene should go.

LOL - I don't think he'd appear for free... unless he figures just getting his mug in there now & then will help book promotion.

I believe it was their choice to leave because they weren't going to be able to pimp the heck out of their religious beliefs and endless supply of vanity merchandise.

Oh wow..... I had no idea...

That's so interesting and I hadn't thought about as you said Matt and Amy bucked the odds and had 3 average sized babies.

So Is it correct to assume that Jer and Auj could have an LP baby?

No, it's not correct to assume Jer and Auj would have a dwarf child. Only Zach carries Amy's form of dwarfism, so only he has a 50 percent chance of a dwarf child. Jeremy may carry Matt's form but that is a recessive gene not a dominant one so it's very unlikely that he would gave a dwarf child.

I find this subject so interesting, the different types of genes and the different forms of dwarfism, I think it's time for me to do some reading.

Thanks for the info RAP. 👍

Can someone explain their fascination with this Carharrt clothing?

It looks like something a guy would wear working on an oil rig or something... I don't get it.

Does Jer think it makes him look like a man who actually works for a living?

Isn't he a photographer?... Why does he want to wear heavy work clothes if he doesn't actually work...  Looks stiff and uncomfortable to me.

It's traditionally been work wear, largely favored by farmers, and those who work outside consistently.  It's very well made and very warm.  It's also resistant to damage, and lasts a long time.  When my husband delivered propane in the bitter cold, he wore it.

At some point in time, Carhartt became trendy.  I don't know when, and I don't know why, but it seemed to be around the time when I started to see girls I knew who aren't outdoorsy in any way start wearing pink camo.  They also started to want Jeeps and Trucks, and put "Country Girl" stickers all over them, but the only place I see their vehicles is the mall.  Carhartt is expensive.  It's a decent investment if you're going to use it as intended, but to wear it as some status symbol is silly to me.

Thanks.... It looks very well made so I can understand your hubby wearing it when he worked in cold etc, it's appropriate.

I don't understand someone dressing that way for status... Sounds stupid and kinda looks stupid too ... But we're talking about Jer & Auj and pretty much everything they do seems odd to me  😂

Most young people want trendy clothing for status not heavy stiff looking work overalls.  🙄

It is indeed stiff, and heavy.  There's a breaking-in process with it.  When he first started that job, he'd freeze, so my dad loaned him his old Carhartt coat, but it didn't fit well (they're different sizes) so we invested in one for him.  One day, when it was really cold out, he actually stopped at the house and changed because he was too hot.  He also said the coat was really stiff and dad's wasn't, but dad's coat was eons old, and had been broken in.  He doesn't work there anymore, so the coat mainly stays in the closet, but he has pulled it out to shovel the snow, and other similar tasks.  I'm kind-of shocked that Oddj isn't all pink camo and "Country Girl" crap.  Most true country girls I know wouldn't be caught dead with something like that.

  • Useful 1

That looks fine for someone doing heavy manual labor outdoors etc but I wouldn't want to wear it if I didn't have to.

I mean if he's suggesting with that pic that he works on his jeep in it that doesn't even make sense to me... My older brother is a mechanic and he doesn't wear stuff like that... He works in a onesie type overalls that are made out of denim type material that looks a lot softer than that stiff stuff.... He works in heated garage so doesn't need it to be particularly warm.... I guess Jer's garage isn't heated?

He's such a pretentious nitwit. 🙄

Yes to all of that. My husband is in construction and he wears that type of clothing in the winter and even has Carhartt seat covers in his truck to protect them from the chalk he uses at work. Jer looks like an idiot wearing it just for show.

Also, some of you may have seen this, but...https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/jeremy-roloff-struggled-with-porn-addiction-during-marriage-to-audrey/

This, along with him not "allowing" Audrey to watch The Bachelor/ette, is just cringey.

I am having a hard time understanding all the vitriol against this couple. There are some people their age that do nothing but sit around and whine about how victimized they’ve been all their lives, live in their parents’ basement and drink, drug, and party.

This couple has a belief system and really struggle to live according to those beliefs. I don’t happen to share their beliefs but I respect the fact that they have them.

The other thing that I especially like from what I’ve seen so far, I am up to season 14, is the way the Jeremy treats his brother Zach.  I find it very endearing.

Also, when they were planning their wedding, Audrey made the comment that she’s more focused on the marriage then the wedding. I certainly wasn’t like that when I got married the first time. I couldn’t see past the diamond, the dress, and the big day. Four years later it was the big D!  So,  her comment impressed me.

Maybe I have not seen enough to become jaded but I like them as much as I like Zach and Tori.

Because he’s a poser and he wants a promotional/influencer deal with Carhartt.

I think to some of us, they’re smug, disingenuous posers who don’t really have the life experience and/or credentials and/or skills to write books about almost any topic.

That's it, @readheaded--their smugness and feeling that they have life experience enough to write a book on relationships.

For me personally, they are super snark-worthy (especially Jer's instagram prose, lol)--but I do not wish them ill.

To me, they are just an average young couple with a child and religious beliefs--nothing unique or even particularly interesting, except the fact that Jer (and for a short time Auj) were on a reality show about little people.

As far as "struggling"--I do not see their struggles as anything unique or book and podcast-worthy--mmv.

Apparently, enough people are fans of the show/Jer and Auj to buy enough books to land them on a best-sellers list, so good for them. But I'm still gonna snark.

I've never been a huge fan of Jeremy, honestly.  He was always heavily favored over his twin by Matt, and as such, he always had a bit of a smug attitude and air about him, to me, and apparently to a number of others.

I personally dislike their spouting of marriage advice, when they haven't even hit a major anniversary (ie: 5 years).  I dislike their attitude about people who don't believe the way they do.  They can talk about struggles, but that, to me, is a joke.  They have more money than some people will see in a lifetime, so don't talk to me about struggles.  They have zero clue about the real world.  And since he's hooked up with Oddj, I don't think Jerk treats Zach as kindly as he could (at least on the show).  I remember a Christmas thing where Zach and Tori picked out a really nice and thoughtful gift for those two, and Oddj responded by giving Zach and Tori a flask that looked like a tampon.  They're completely over-aware with themselves and believe their own hype, but are completely clueless about others.

They constantly down divorce, and have thrown some subtle shade at Amy, and also at Chris, but no shade is thrown at Matt, at least that I've noticed, and the possibility is very real that he was committing adultery, which should be a complete no-go with Jerk and Oddj's thinking, but they stay silent.

I see a relationship based on perceived ideas and their mutual need for attention.  When that dries up, I don't see how they'll be able to continue to make a go of it.  But that's just me.  YMMV.

This. Amy gets their shaming but Jeremy is right at Daddy's side and keeps his mouth SHUT when Daddy Matt is enthusiastically planning his post divorce life. Not a peep from Jeremy on how he thinks Matt should have fought for his marriage and did Matt ever consider writing constant affirmations to his wife and doing the enneagram? Their silence, coupled with the shade thrown at Amy makes it pretty clear that they have taken a side and maybe they should own that.

I also don't like how they constantly backpedal whenever tough questions come up concerning their advice and insist that they are not experts and are not in any way giving anyone advice. But divorce is absolutely wrong and you must FIGHT for your marriage. But this isn't advice and there's no way that they consider themselves anything but fresh faced innocent children struggling against the odds. But they are right about this even though this is absolutely not expert advice.

And they are very vocal about very wrong people are to question them, deeming those people haters and liars and thats cute when you're a reality show star and not much is expected of you but might make things awkward when you're also a NY Times Best Selling Author telling people who question your qualifications that "You know 100 percent about nothing!"

But really, my dislike mostly rolls around how they just don't seem like very nice people and they do seem very full of themselves. Jeremy's little declaration in his podcast on how people who attend church can't defend the faith as well as someone like himself who proudly endorses "home church" was the kind of arrogant, condescending, and dismissive self brag I've come to expect from him.

I've also been skipping the podcasts because frankly, they're just ads for the book at this point.

I was a little surprised that they didn't return for another season too.  I know what they said, but, sometimes those explanations aren't the whole story.  I have no reason to doubt their word through. They do seem to be motivated, busy and pretty happy.  Despite a fair amount of online dissuaders, they seem to be doing just fine.

To me, TLC isn't all that concerned with them not being little people.  The key is that they are related to little people.  I think the show would welcome Jeremy, Auj Jacob (spouse) and Molly (spouse) back, also not little people, just as they featured other non-dwarfs in the past like Mike (May he rest in peace) and Matt's parents. The more content to work with the better. The more to provoke discord, the better....at least that's how I think TLC sees it. JMO.  And, perhaps, Jeremy and Auj sensed this and didn't want to pile in for the squabble.

Since, they aren't really regulars on the show anymore, I don't really keep up with them.  I just come to this thread occasionally to get an update. I was particularly impressed with Auj's post about how leaving children with those who care for them teaches them to feel safe, even when away from mommy and daddy.  I think that shows insight and lot of young parents don't have that. I've never seen anything so different from them and the other Roloff children, except Jacob. Not better or worse. And certainly not villains. lol

Yawns can reflect many things.  One is boredom, but, it also can signal need for more oxygen, exhaustion, etc.  I'm not sure about Auj.  I'm not saying that she isn't healthy, but, I always wonder about someone who is considerably smaller in size than they were as a teen or younger adult.  Like Kelly Ripa who in her 40's has been substantially smaller than she was in her teens and 20's.  All the while saying that she's naturally thin. Not so.  To me Auj appears substantially thinner than she was when she married Jeremy.  Maybe, it's breast feeding. But, whatever, I hope she's well.

I am not Oddj's biggest fan, but I too have expressed concern about her thinness, and hope she doesn't have any eating disorders.
