TattleTeeny December 13, 2023 Share December 13, 2023 (edited) Just saw a credit card commercial with a couple on a date. They walk to the girl’s door, which she tells him is hers, and the guy says “it’s still early, want to get coffee?” They do and then do 20 other date things. So “still early” for what? This makes it sound like she had some kind of time limit for this date, yet she then was able to go do a bunch of other activities. Also, it was even earlier before they walked to her house—why didn’t he propose coffee before that? Oh, and not that this matters on its own, but what time of day was this date anyway? It was clearly light outside when he said “still early.” Also, some lotion commercial where the woman is speaking in like a coffeehouse-poetry way and refers to skin as, among various other adjectives, “glazed.” For whatever reason, I do not like that, haha! I decided that their first "date" was one of those first dates that are "just for coffee," to see if you have any interest. Of course you're right, the second phase of the date would normally be proposed at the coffee shop, not her door LOL. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45040-commercials-that-annoy-irritate-or-outright-enrage/page/693/#findComment-8240052

Gharlane December 16, 2023 Share December 16, 2023 There's a commercial that plays during every commercial break on Pluto TV for a podcast hosted by two girls titled "No Baby Mama Drama" that starts with an annoying "Here we go!" and one of them reading about a man who faked his death to avoid child support. Who the hell are these girls? I assume they're from the Teen Mom show but they're annoying as hell. 😡 1 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45040-commercials-that-annoy-irritate-or-outright-enrage/page/693/#findComment-8243670

They suck so bad. 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45040-commercials-that-annoy-irritate-or-outright-enrage/page/693/#findComment-8244094
andromeda331 December 17, 2023 Share December 17, 2023 Youtube has jumped on the donate to depressing charity commericals. I think they might actually have the ones on TV beat because there's so many different ones. Israel, Afghanistan, no food, parents' of Sandy Hook victims, Patrick Stewart and other celebrities talking about horrible things, medical problems. I know it's all important and makes sense giving how many people watch Youtube. But I can't watch them anymore then the St. Judes and abused animals on TV. 2 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45040-commercials-that-annoy-irritate-or-outright-enrage/page/693/#findComment-8244140

Maybe it's the idiot woman trying to run in high heels while balancing a dessert ON ONE HAND. Yeah, hilarity ensures, NOT. And of course they get into their Lincoln and all is calm. Because the car is THAT GREAT. I don't hate it, but I completely support your right to. I have both irrational and rational hatred for almost every ad out there, and this one actually doesn't bother me too much. But, hey that's fine, I'm happy to stand behind you in protest as a fellow stupid commercial hater. What I don't understand is why someone is trying to convince me that the Lume commercial is actually a fine, perfectly acceptable and benign piece of advertising, whereas I see it as a hateful, hair-pulling-out-inducing, screamfest piece of crap that is being constantly forced in front of my face while I'm eating my dinner.
