I'm going to preface this by saying I'm not vegan or a vegetarian, I have been known to enjoy a hamburger now and then but some of these commercials (looking at you Arby's) just show gigantic wads of meat and ranch and oozing fake cheese and I'm getting nauseated just typing this...

It's the Carls Jr/Hardees ads that I hate, they always have some sort of sauce or ketchup oozing out of & dripping off the burger. Turns me off to the point of driving past their establishments no matter how hungry I am and how much I want a burger. Give me a simple In n Out burger every time no matter the length of the line (I've waited over an hour in a drive through line more than once during the last couple of years).  By the time I get to order I'm so hungry I need a 3x3 with grilled onions just to fill me up.

Oh brother. GOLO's got a new product with the president and co-founder as the spokesperson. She is a holistic medicine specialist.

She's selling GOLO Release which is better than regular GOLO apparently.

It contains three minerals that you can buy at the drugstore and several plant based ingredients that probably don't do anything.

Seriously. I'll just have a McDonalds regular burger. No cheese, no "secret sauce". It's plenty for me.

Any and all commercials featuring former boy band members. This includes an insurance commercial with a gaggle of them (even though Joey McIntyre was my first celebrity crush), a cat food commercial with an N'Syncer, and a laundry detergent commercial with the Backstreet Boys.

They all made GOBS of money in their heyday. Get better money managers!!!!

I loved the 'I have a Ratt problem' though! lol

When I was still working and would go grocery shopping right after work, I'd stop at McD's & get a Happy Meal so I wouldn't overshop once I got to the store. It was just enough.

I thought I was the only one grossed out by the 'oozing' spots. There are quite a few, so I figured everyone but me must find them appealing. Nice to know I'm not alone! When they press down on some sandwich and the sauce or mayo comes oozing out? UGH. So unappetizing. If I was hungry, I'm not anymore, which is not the effect food advertising is supposed to have.

I haven't had one in years, but a Carl's Jr. Super Star (w/ cheese; I hate burgers without cheese) is one of the few fast food items I sometimes crave.  The sauce is what makes it a Carl's Jr. burger (I don't normally like sauces with ketchup in them, but this one works for me, and it has just the right amount of pickle relish), but in reality it doesn't ooze out of the burger like that, and I don't know why they choose to advertise their food as being so messy.  Especially fast food, which some people eat in the car, and thus want something less, not more, likely to drip.

I can't stand this idiotic commercial either.   I can't understand anyone, not just MIss "Leave Now!".

Hmmm, I  may have been dreaming when I thought I saw a new Lume ad. I usually tune them out and today I saw the ad and what I had thought was a new tamed down ad was just the tail end of the good Dr and her cheery face hawking her obnoxious butt creams. Sigh...  and here I was hoping they had finally gotten some class!

The Jardiance ad with the horrible song and the overly perky woman who can't dance (if that's what it's supposed to be) or lip-synch convincingly.  Hate it.

Can we please band drug advertisement again? It was heavenly without the pill commercials! This is one of the all-time worst!

And lawyers. Prescription meds and lawyer ads should be banned. And I certainly wouldn't mind a ban on candidates' TV ads.  (Not a political statement - just a wish list of ads to be banned.)

That is such a weird commercial.  A bunch of British kids at camp?  I have no idea what they're talking about.

A lot of Arby's commercials have always just shown tall piles of meat between two pieces of bread with no apparent dressing whatsoever, and I've always found that unappealing. I actually didn't realize until someone told me that Arby's sandwiches aren't just meat and dry bread.

Particularly, as has been brought up before, the Haribo candy one featuring adults with children's voices.

The first time I saw it I thought it was for some Apple series that's being advertised heavily where I am.  Now I know what it's for, I'm even more mystified.

Is it a parody of something? The first time I saw it, I swear I'd seen something just like it before, but I've never been able to think of what. The fact that the picture quality seems off somehow and the acting is terrible (the panicking at the end is ridiculous -- one guy clutches his head!) doesn't help.

They used to specialize in French dips.

And it's got to be like ten years old by now. Make a new commercial, Haribo!

Is it weird in the actual commercial (I've never seen it)?  I just figured it was wonky in that YouTube video posted upthread because it's not an upload of the actual commercial, it's an upload of video someone took - presumably with their phone - of the commercial airing on their TV.

There’s a Dominos commercial where a dad asks his 2 daughters what they’d like on the pizza. One says pineapple, mildly enthusiastic but relatively normal. The other, though, says — or sort of breathlessly half-shrieks — “mushrooms!” in a way that annoys the bejesus out of me. But here’s the worst part: for some reason, I then feel bad for being all mad at her! She’s just a young girl excited to have pizza. Maybe she said it so frantically because her family never lets her have mushrooms?

It bugs me because I have never in my life, met a kid who wanted mushrooms on their pizza.

I was that kid.  I've always loved mushrooms, and, with respect to pizza, loved a sausage, mushroom, and spinach combination, which I still eat (among many other varieties; like tacos, I love all the ingredient options with pizza) to this day but that started as a kid -- it's one of the pizzas my mom made.  When we went out to our favorite pizza place, we usually did traditional pepperoni & sausage because they did it so damn well, but at home we had a lot more variety.

Just a spokes person, tubes of Lume on the screen voiceover says: "This is Lume for pits, butt and anywhere else. blah blah blah. Then just pix of the product again. Probably about a 15 sec ad. Far better than all the others with visuals!!

Are all the Haribo gummies made with xylitol?  I thought there were some with sugar that didn't produce that effect, but I may be wrong.

What's the deal with all these Brits in American ads suddenly?

Haribo sugar free gummies were the only ones with Xylitol, they used Malitol (that may be another name for Xylitol-I don't know) and the five-pound bag is the one all of the reviews about massive intestinal issues are about.

However, Haribo stopped making them years ago, and they were made by Albanese, and they were the same product.  The reviews on Amazon had both names in there.   I don't think Albanese makes the big bags of sugar free ones any more, or they come in small quantites only, but they have the same effects.  I think the worst version used Malitol, not Xylitol, but I think both versions have warnings on the package.

If you search "Haribo Sugar Free Gummies" they still link to a few of the Amazon reviews talking about the side effect.  Then, search sugar free gummies on Amazon, and the Albanese in small packages come up, and the reviews are hysterical.   I still remember the Olestra (? spelling) fat free ingredient in chips?  It caused Anal Leakage, more like anal explosions of lava.

I really loathe the Haribo commercials.  The phony kid voices are like nails on a chalkboard to me too.

I guess there are kids who like that, but what human being in this world would want pizza with both mushrooms and pineapple?  I realize there are two kids and they're each requesting something different, but is the family getting multiple pizzas to accommodate their wishes or just one pizza with both?  Cause that sounds nasty.

Why yes, I AM overanalyzing that commercial. lol.

Yep.  Pineapple is a wonderful fruit but it never, ever belongs on pizza.

You can get one half mushroom, one half pineapple.

That is what bothers me so much with this commercial, especially when the immediate need is something as simple as water.  Show your group providing care.  Don't show suffering animals.

I used to like the commercials for pet adoption that showed the happy dogs and cats.  That is, they would "talk" about how good they felt now that they were adopted or how good their lives were.  Those brought people to the shelters to adopt and encouraged donations.

What gets me is one kid says pineapple, another says mushrooms, and, in the longer version of the commercial, a random bicyclist says pepperoni.  When we see a pizza being sliced, it is pepperoni.  So random  bike guy gets what he wants?  Or is that their grown son they force to bike rather than ride in the car?

What the hell is that Gain commercial where people walk up behind someone and start sniffing their clothes. If anyone came up behind me, and started sniffing me, there would be people with a bloody nose, a non-functioning penis, and then a call to the police department for assault. Why would any advertising agency put together a commercial like that? It’s just plain disgusting.

Seems Pooph! is Lume's direct-marketing competitor here, I'm surprised they don't recommend spraying it on your butt instead of the dog's. They both neutralize organic odors, but Pooph! looks like a lot more fun and apparently it doesn't taste too bad :). But both ad campaigns are obnoxious -  a repeated "Pooph!" shriek as annoying as a dying smoke detector, or descriptions of all sorts of allegedly nasty bodily nooks and crevices.

Xylitol and Malitol are two different artificial sweeteners. When I was first diagnosed as diabetic I tried a bunch of different artificial sweeteners. Malitol wreaked havoc with my stomach/intestines! Stevia did not agree with me, but I could tolerate Xylitol. As time went by, I gave up on the artificial sweeteners and just went to small portions of foods that had a sweetness of their own naturally. I lost my cravings for sweets and if I do want a bit of sweet in something will use a tiny amount of real sugar, but that is not often.

I remember the Haribo problems with Malitol and frankly am surprised to see it still in use in lots of diabetic/keto foods. I read the labels very carefully to avoid any contact with it.

I doubt they are eating the sugar free version of the gummy bears in the ad. As much as they probably ate even the Xylitol ones would not be nice to their systems.

With how many takes are required (and thus how much food would be consumed), actors generally don't actually eat the food; there are buckets for spitting it out between takes.  (A notable exception was on the set of Julie & Julia, where a chef prepared the food according to Julia Child's recipes, and the cast chowed down, especially Chris Messina -- who then needed a whole lot of Tums [which is why that scene of Eric reaching for them was included in the film].)
