TattleTeeny December 13, 2023 Share December 13, 2023 (edited) Just saw a credit card commercial with a couple on a date. They walk to the girl’s door, which she tells him is hers, and the guy says “it’s still early, want to get coffee?” They do and then do 20 other date things. So “still early” for what? This makes it sound like she had some kind of time limit for this date, yet she then was able to go do a bunch of other activities. Also, it was even earlier before they walked to her house—why didn’t he propose coffee before that? Oh, and not that this matters on its own, but what time of day was this date anyway? It was clearly light outside when he said “still early.” Also, some lotion commercial where the woman is speaking in like a coffeehouse-poetry way and refers to skin as, among various other adjectives, “glazed.” For whatever reason, I do not like that, haha! I decided that their first "date" was one of those first dates that are "just for coffee," to see if you have any interest. Of course you're right, the second phase of the date would normally be proposed at the coffee shop, not her door LOL. 1 Link to comment
