Vanity Fair reports that Whoopi Goldberg is partnering with Om Edibles owner Maya Elisabeth on “Whoopi & Maya,” a company offering “cannabis edibles, tinctures, topical rubs, and a THC-infused bath soak that it describes as ‘profoundly relaxing.’” (I’ll just bet.) They’re not the first to talk weed remedies to menstrual woes, but Goldberg’s a big name with a large female audience in the form of The View, so maybe they can help this dream come true.

I think Michele wants to stay on the show and she probably thinks that Whoopie has alot of power...She should look at Nicole Wallace as an example of what not to do..Nicole hitched her wagon to Whoopie and she got fired..I personally feel that Nicole playing dumb about certain things, in order to not ruffle the feathers of the whoopster, cost her the job at the view...

 

One more thing: Whoopie, you are not Maya Angelou, the masses are  not waiting  with bated breath for your sage advice and approval..It was painful seeing her try to speak to Naomi Campbell who was a treasure today. I wanted to hear  more about her impressions of the south as Black Brit coming to America, but she was interrupted by Raven....Why can't they let a conversation just flow naturally....I hate it when they feel the need to stick absolutely to their blue cards...

Is that what is bothering me so much?  Because I was sitting here saying "I can't" with this show any more and thinking I will have to start taping Kimmel or James Corden to watch in the mornings.  I know I wasn't this annoyed with the show last week.  So it's Joy's absence that is making it so painful, I am guessing.

 

It's funny because Joy irks me from time to time.  She has stopped making so many corny Borscht Belt-style jokes (that had me really disliking her for a while) but she does still frustrate me when she gets on a liberal rant and manages to miss her own point about how one shouldn't judge or be so contemptuous of other people's opinions.  Despite this, the show is definitely better when she is moderator, and virtually unbearable when she is not present at all. 

 

What was killing me today is the way Paula will do ANYthing and say ANYthing to defend Donald Trump.  Having that man plastered on the news 24 hours a day is enough ... I don't need Paula posing as his proxy spouting his talking points and ruining this show, too.  I was glad Michelle stood her ground about how no man needs to be putting his hands on any woman unless he is responsible for security.  But I think Joy would have done a better job.  She tends to argue the facts, and that is what was needed during this discussion because Paula's take on the "grabbing" video and the statement of Michelle Fields describing the incident were not necessarily fair or accurate imo. 

 

And Cameron proclaiming that her husband "rules the roost" made me gag on my bagel.   I mean this is 2016 .... I expect to hear that crap on the Duggars but not on The View.   I like to think Joy would have asked Candice why her husband's penis entitles him to be in charge or why her ovaries mean she has to submit to him.  But of course we all know the answer to that (the Bible!).  That's Candice's answer to everything.  I just sat there waiting for someone to make some kind of response to her roost remark, but crickets.  Just so disappointing ... it's like Whoopi and Raven and Michelle have given up even responding to her faith-based proclamations because it's just hopeless. 

 

Oh, in closing ...just a little note to Paula:  If you want to call someone a liar, you might want to consider adding the name of Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski to your list, and perhaps even put his name ahead of the reporter, Michelle Fields.  Because when this story first broke, Lewandowski vehemently denied ever touching Fields at all, claimed he had never even met her and called her "delusional."  So while the extent to which the video matches up to Fields' statement is up for debate, the video makes it crystal clear that Corey Lewandowski is a LIAR.

I don't like the way Paula brushed off Kasich signing the bill defunding PP as no big deal, saying that there are other clinics to take up the slack. That's not necessarily true. PP is located in areas that best service some of the most needy women. Making them travel to other clinics is burdensome in many cases and totally unnecessary. And also cruel, vengeful and short-sighted. Yeah, like the way to make the abortion rate go down is to make it harder for women to access birth control.

So ... I guess her husband rules the roost unless Candice is really determined to have her way..???  Which essentially means that her husband only rules the roost when she allows it, which may be 99.9% of the time, but it's still not 100% of the time.  

 

I'm not sure, but I think she can go to hell for that.

I really doubt that 40% of women submit to their husband in all things, so why such a disproportionate "view"? It's gag worthy, and Candice deliberately brought it up. And nice that she has one limit she enforces (which she immediately contradicted by restating that she requested with a "please"), and he has so many limits on her that she can't begin to name them.

Before Candice showed she was wearing jeans, she looked like she was going to go get married on the beach after the show. For someone so "modest", she spends hours devoted to looking like a Barbie doll. It's a little creepy. And for someone who fake blushes and hides her face with anything remotely suggestive, she had no problem throwing out sexual innuendo on either today's or yesterday's show. I think it was about blow jobs, but I'm not positive.

Did you guys see the look on her face when Naomi was talking about her life experiences,...It reminded me of when Sherry Shepherd was on the show with a member of the LGBT as a guest, she always had a grinning expression on her face to mask her unease...lol...I cannot understand how somebody  who professes to love Christ is so intolerant of others; when Christ was the most accepting , forgiving , understanding and tolerant..Can somebody explain this paradox to me....People like Candace inspire feelings of  pity and loathing..

Someone posted the other day about CCB getting some flack from the Christian community regarding her storyline and clothing on "Fuller House". I started looking around on the internet and there was a story on a Christian website about it. They blurred her thighs out because Exodus 28:42-I kid you not. So, she may believe a lot of stuff in the Bible but she is flaunting her thighs in defiance of the biblical command to cover them. The weird thing about it is that they blurred her thighs but left the thigh gap and above un-pixelated. Wait-the whole thing is weird, but the censorship and what they left uncensored is particularly weird.

No she won't.  My son is gay.  He has friends who are transgender.  It is heartbreaking.  One of his friends just transitioned from female to male.  I am friends of sorts with him.  It is so hard for these folks to figure out what is going on, and then to be able to make themselves whole, or authentic, or whatever the feeling are.  And many of their parents reject them.  They keep telling my son that he is lucky, because Mr. lookeyloo (who is his stepfather) and I have never even for a minute considered that.  They aren't so lucky.  I can't imagine tossing my child.

I'm a gay lefty and I have to agree with CCB on this one.  That video wasn't really "Funny" at all. Usually the Funny or Die videos are much better. (It might have been better had all the activities shown be shown in REVERSE, maybe?) Sadly, the whole discussion was the typical ViewJumble.  The law that was raced through the duly-elected rightwing NC legislature and hastily signed by the equally rightwing governor is entirely different than the one that ended up being vetoed by the GA governor.  CCB made a decent point that mocking the entire state isn't productive.

 

Shockingly, Jebidamnnearadbidracoonabibidia made the most sense.  Plus, I think a lot of folks have issues with the transgender :thing:  Caitlin Jenner is the first time that many Americans have ever had to even think about the topic.  And plenty of parents, gay icon Cher included, didn't get it until facing it in her own life with her own child.  Maybe we will get a segment on the show with medical professionals and personal stories for CCB to :learn:

 

As for states passing laws restricting human rights, the publicity from NC likely helped derail GA.  Meanwhile, if anything, this past week will teach the folks of North Carolina that they have to vote in every election and not only when it's trendy.

 

ETA:  Meanwhile, NC has blown up. The attorney general has announced he won't defend the law in court and the Governor went on a twitter rant on Tuesday wildly trying to defend the law.

 

Yes, they mentioned that at least a half dozen times during the 4 minutes of discussion.

 

Barbara Walters did a special on 20/20 quite a few years ago about transgender children, and I think an episode of The View pretty much promoted the special.  It's strange that as a "topic" that people seem to accept the idea of gender dysmorphia (transgender) more easily when it's prepubescent children.
