I caught it, and thought Maci was the only one who came across well.  She was dressed nicely, looked good, was self-deprecating and give diplomatic yet humorous answers.

There are no words for the horror of Amber's boobs.

I just posted on the Teen Mom 2 board but I think it's worth a mention here, as well. Next Monday 12/12, after Teen Mom OG: Unseen Moments, is a special called "Weekend at Corey's". Gary, Tyler, Jo, Nathan, and Adam are involved. No Matt, thankfully, but he doesn't seem to do anything he doesn't have control over either.

I apologize if you all knew about this special. I haven't heard of it but I'm curious to see it.

This is from MTV regarding the Special:

Corey is fed up with the traditional sappy Teen Mom specials where the guys sit on the studio couch discussing their feelings with Dr. Drew, so he invites Adam, Gary, Jo, Tyler, and Nathan on a “guys only”, very active adventure

Oh no, not Adam!  He's so....I don't know what.  I can't even describe it.  I don't think we've EVER seen him just talking about normal, every day stuff.  I've been finding him harder and harder to watch.  He seems quite uncomfortable with himself.  It's very awkward.

What, no Simon?  LMFAO

I watched in bits and pieces, but I couldn't get past Amber's bewbs.  Like a goddamned train wreck over there.
And looking at her eyes made my own eyes water and sting.

And my takeaway from this catastrophe:  I think Amber harbors a secret admiration for Farrah.

I was surprised to hear Farrah say that she doesn't believe in having tattoos on her body.  Out of all the horrible ways she has disfigured herself and she doesn't believe in tattoos?  I mean it's one thing to say she doesn't want one, but the whole 'doesn't believe in' them phrase has me confused.  This reminds me, and maybe someone can help refresh my memory, but a long time ago Debra was saying that something was against her religion.  I think it had to do with her hair maybe.  But then look at what she's done to her face!  She can't even move it.  What the hell ever, ladies.

Deborah said to that guy Cole that sex before marriage was against their religion!  Hahahah!

I think the camera then cut to Sophia.

She also said it was important for him to be able to join them in heaven. Just what a teenage boy wants to hear from the mother of a teenage mother, holding the baby, in a creepy house. See ya!

I remember that, but there was something else too, something to do with her body.

Adam has always been a hateful jerk, but after his second major accident, he became aggressive and violent. When 16 and Pregnant first aired, someone created a FB page about hating Adam; he joined it and joined in on the bashing. It was attention and he liked it. Other than blaming Chelsea and Randy for some of his faults, his aggression wasn't violent or physically abusive.

After his first major accident there were claims of physically aggressive behavior with his girlfriend and friends, and a debate about whether he was on drugs, but he was certainly abusing alcohol. After the second one, with the elderly couple, his aggression turned to violence with his actually laying his hands on people. He has become harder to watch because he has become a worse person, probably as a result of a head injury, like what we are seeing with Ryan, only is is more noticeable in Ryan because he didn't start out as nasty as Adam did. Whatever little bit of a filter he had disappeared.

I hope he does leave so that I don't have to watch him any longer, and it would also probably be good for him since it seems to be such a negative experience for him. We know it is a poor experience because he is a negative person, but he thinks it is because of Randy and Chelsea and the show making him look bad.

Cate about Farrah: "I'd be egging her house everyday."   How quaint. Nice to know Cate has not grown up. She is stuck at 16 years of age with the face of a 40 year old.

Cate also referred to Carly as "my kid" in that one scene with Dawn. Stupid bitch. That is NOT your kid. Get that through your fat head.

That scene and the scene with the birthday were a little uncomfortable to watch. That's how I feel now when watching scenes where they talk about Carly: uncomfortable.

Amber talking about how she's super nice but not when people are mean to her? Ugh. Also Leah ripped out the paper because yes she did feel your emotions, you made a face and stopped talking. Of course Leah knows you are unhappy.

Right. Leah has ears and a brain. It does not take much to read Amber's puffy face when she is making a face or saying things under her breath.  Leah's radar tells her Amber has insecurities, and poor Leah is made to feel she is responsible for how her mother feels.

Amber is a major asshole.

So Catelyn and Tyler don't send presents to Carly anymore because they don't get much in return from BrandonandTheresa?!  But they are so upset about not getting a visit and how much that will hurt and disappoint Carly??  They can't send a card?

I always love the Unseen Moments. So much more is revealed about these fools.

I'm over Maci and her 10,000 pregnancies. She really didn't need to ask Cate if she was sitting down, to hear the news. Homegirl is always sitting down.

It was nice seeing confirmation that Matt thinks he's somebody now, and can dictate what topics they should and should not discuss on the show. As much as I hate Amber, it is Teen MOM - so if they want to discuss her struggle diet a million times an hour, go for it.

I really hate the scene in the car with Leah and the note from Christina. Amber may not have literally said, "tear that out", but her face said as much. Leah felt awful. Poor kid. And did Amber even listen to the note? It said, "Hi girls!" GIRLS. Plural. I'm assuming it was addressed to Leah and Christina's daughter. So it would have been awkward if she just signed it with her name. Get over it.

Amber simply thinks too much of herself. Her attack on Farrah was simply her defending all the great strides Teen Mom has made over the years. They have conquered teen pregnancy, addiction, mental illness. How dare Simon step in and make a joke of this trailblazing effort???

And that's the thing. It's SIMON making these comments. I'm not saying Farrah is an innocent, but she and Simon are broken up half the time. Why is she taking all the heat for what he says? Why didn't Amber call Simon on the phone and ask him what his deal is???

Farrah is a hot mess, though. I love the editors for tacking the scene of her screaming at her neighbors on right after she poo-poo's Simon's anger management idea. It's okay, Farrah, you're the best mom in the world. Because a deranged 7-year-old says so.

Cate and Tyler are pathetic as well. So they haven't been sending gifts to Carly? In some sort of retaliation for visits stopping? That's what I got out of it. They have truly never grown up. And the birthday celebration in the park was 10 shades of pathetic. Nova was just sitting there like, "Who the fuck are these fools singing to? Give me some damn cake already!"

I like how Cate boasted that Nova doesn't get away with drinking pop at HER house. Yea, because she's never there.

Also, can Cate quit side-busting everyone's conversation? She's the person you don't want around when you make a phone call. She always has something to say in the background!

I think Sophia's getting messages from her mom & grandma that when you lose your shit on people and attack them like a banshee gone rogue you are "standing up for yourself" and "being a strong woman."

Whaaaaat? I missed it. I will have to check that out. Good thing I recorded it.

ETA: Fucking gross! And Nova was sitting there staring at her with a WTF look on her face.

In that scene with Sophia telling Farrah it's OK, she's the best mom ever, I got more of an impression that Sophia subconsciously knew she'd better massage her mom's ego real quick or Farrah would take it out on everyone.  Sophia's the only person that cannot get out of Farrah's path of emotional destruction when she's pissed, which is all the damn time.

I agree. It is similar to Leah and how she has learned to soothe Amber's ego and her feelings when she feels her mother is upset about something.

I can't get over how Cate feels throwing eggs at a neighbor's home due to their dog barking is the way to handle that kind of situation. Is that why she and Tyler moved to the "country"? Were they having issues with their neighbors?

that

That remark has bothered me since last night. I find it sad that a 7 year old has to pander to and stroke their own mother's ego. Shouldn't it be the other way around, if at all? Sophia has learned at a young age that this is necessary in order to keep Farrah calm. Does she really believe that Farrah is the best mother in the world? She has to have been exposed to other kids and their parents relationships where this is not necessary. Does that seem abnormal to her at all?

when Amber & Matt were discussing her diet, they were in a legit KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe whomever posited that they got evicted and ended up in a less-fancy place and had to film in a garage was correct.   I wish we could find out the garage deal for once & for all

I didn't even understand the present thing with Carly. The younger and more down to earth Cate wanted nothing more in life than to shop and send presents to her child for Christmas. How about that adorable book they got for Carly with their recorded voices reading? Now they acted as though they forget and don't have time. Damn, it's not like you're sitting their with a long Christmas list and you forget the other child you have (oh yeah, that other one besides the only other ONE you have). If I were B&T I'd make sure to shop for an extra toy every year and pretend it's from that creepy couple she used to see.

I didn't get that either, Cate said the presents had been sitting in a corner for months or something and then Dawn was like "things happen" or something. Um.. what? All they have to do is bring said gifts to a post office. And they can't write a letter? That's even easier. Someone mentioned it before they're obviously not sending gifts and letters because they are mad about the situation. I think that was the initial reason dawn brought it up to explain that Carly is going to ask questions now and in the end that is who will be hurt.

I am having a hard time coming up with the words to describe my feelings about the "Unseen Moments" ... but trust, I'll formulate some.

For several shows now, Amber keeps defending herself in a variety of ways that she's "worked hard" to get where she is today.  Drugs, depression, being a mom, blah blah blah.  I must be thick, because I'm not seeing it; what exactly has she done except go to some fancy schmancy beachside rehabilitation resort and prison that she equates to "working hard"?  She's clearly not managing to stay away from addictive substances and I think I can get an "amen!" from the majority of us that when she's on these reunion/moments/ask-the-moms shows, she appears to STILL be high.  If I can get an honest answer to my question, I'd point blank ask her.

But I know that her response would most likely be to hover over me and stomp around, a fake fingernail wagging in my face while she's shrieking obscenities at me, reminding me how she's "worked hard" and to look at her today.

Would someone also please remind Catelynn that Carly is NOT her kid?  Yes, you have biological ties to Carly.  But since Carly is seemingly no longer really in the picture, why would MTV continue this on with these people already?

I stopped watching somewhere around the anger management bit with Farrah.  My eyes rolled too far into the back of my head to be able to view any more.

I really, really was cheering for Amber and Catelynn at one point in time.  But right now is a great time for MTV to end this experiment with these so-called grown women.  The thud with which Amber and Catelynn would fall of their high horses would be measured on the Richter's scale for miles around.

And yeah, I cannot wait for Teen Mom 2 to see what my tribe thinks.  Sidenote:  I love you all.

You know what I mean - she wanted the open adoption and wanted to remember Carly on birthdays and holidays. Cate's annoying now with her use of "my kid" because of what her mindset is. I think I would probably personally always think that that IS my child, but I wouldn't put demands and grudges about it on tv. I wouldn't have them in the first place because I'd know that my child needed to move on from me and have her new life somewhere else, and it would have to be none of my business. C&T won't quit poking around for shit that is personal to Carly and her family.

Some thoughts...

Okay, so I am not fishing for sympathy here or anything, just trying to get a sideways feel for C&T's situation. Six years ago our youngest son died. He passed away in his sleep, cause of death "undetermined." A year later we had our daughter. Sometimes I liken my situation with Cate's: I also have a child who's not here that I still love, and a younger child who wasn't part of the original equation from when he was still here. In the world of child loss, we all have different ways of coping. I, for instance, keep pictures up around the house, answer questions, and occasionally share a memory with my other 2 kids (our oldest son was alive when the little one passed and he vaguely remembers him). The kids and I always make a cake on his birthday and we decorate his grave on his birthday, death day, and Christmas. I mostly deal with my grief on a private and personal level and don't involve the kids. (Although I DID write a book about infant loss and spilled my guts in it.) I know some parents, however, who have lost infants and continue to make them a regular part of the family and kind of go to the extreme. They will even set places at the table for them and buy them clothes and toys for whatever age they would be. One mother I know created a children's story book with pictures of her baby and a little story. She reads this to her other kids every night at bedtime, children born after her child passed away, so that they will "know" their brother.

I have pretty much seen and heard it all. There is no right or wrong way to grieving or including a child's memory. With that being said, I am still totally creeped out by the way that C&T obsess over Carly. The whole thing with Nova reminds me of MY SWEET AUDRINA. The next thing we know, Tyler will be putting Nova in the little rocking chair, trying to get her to earn Carly's "gifts."

That kitchen Amber was in did NOT look like it went with the uppa class house she and Matt bought rented. And just when I thought he couldn't possibly irritate me any more...telling her he was "bored" by the conversation. My husband would never tell me that. Oh, he'd tune me out, his eyes would glaze over, and he'd try to change the subject but even after a dozen years together there is still a semblance of politeness. Matt was simply bored because the cameras weren't on HIM.
