Poor Hayes. His mother and crazypants grandmother are going to be watching him so closely, just waiting for him to show signs of wanting to murder someone. 

And Beige going on about "and you're just supposed to welcome them into the family?"  First, Finn has nothing to do with Sheila now.  Second, you want to talk welcoming Sheila into the family?  OK, refresh my memory, who was it who returned to town after the Sheila is Finn's mother reveal and talked Steffy into inviting her over and letting her hold Hayes?  Who was Sheila's BFF after that?  Who practically had a love scene with Sheila on the hospital rooftop after she shot Finn and Steffy?  

Carter just sucks. He doesn't act like he sees a single thing wrong with kissing Pepe LePew.  And he was an active participant in that kiss. Even after, he didn't say they shouldn't have done it, or even mention Hope's name. He should follow Pepe back to Paris. 

Luna, unknowingly, hit every single point that Finn has been obsessing over since he found out he's her father. TN is doing a good job with all of this. You could see that he was angry at the thought of Tom claiming to be his daughter's father.

Some WRP. So, Taylor's response to problems is to just run away. She does it whenever Ridge rebounds to Brooke, now she's advising Steffy to do the same. I usually detest Steffy, but today I was in her court when she opted to stay and deal with the problem. But ... just wait until Beige and Bitch in the Box learn that Luna's out of jail!

I have no words for Pepe LePew/Harter. LSV and TN are neck-to-neck in who has the worst facial reactions. If I were Hope, I'd cut my losses. (I thought LSV was headed to "The Gates," or was that just a wishful thinking rumor?)

Did she actually say she didn't want him because of his looks? Because today she said she simply couldn't or didn't see any resemblance....and she just didn't feel it in her bones (or something similar meaning the same thing).

I'll probably be harping on this forever without the show ever delving into it, but this would be another opportunity for Steffy to finally have some issues with Taylor.  She's telling Taylor she wants to stay with her husband, and Taylor is pushing her to flee. Let that bring up some unresolved anger for Steffy about how that's exactly what Taylor does every time things get tough. Or, if she does end up listening to Taylor and leaving, and it ends her marriage, let her get angry with her then.  Taylor was going on about how Steffy and her kids are all that matter to her, and that was just a prime opportunity for Steffy to fire back with "if that's true, why do you keep leaving?"

I think a big part of it, especially when Bill was the other candidate she knew of, was that Tom was a recently homeless guy who was working at a restaurant, compared to Bill Spencer. Given the retcon of how she has felt about her mother, looking at Tom and his life probably made her feel like having Tom as a father would just be more of the same.

Of courses it had to be Poppy that seduced Finn. It’s not possible that it was the other way around.  Sleeping with your non biologically aunt is disgusting but your father-in-law is not nor is your ex husband.  

What is Luna’s malfunction. She seems that Finn being her father is worse than Tom being her father.  Or should I give Luna a break that her mom kept her father away from her all these years when he really wanted to be in her life. 

I feel very sorry for Finn because he has a daughter he knew nothing about; but I feel even more sorry, for Finn,  thats he’s married to a self centered bitch who has parents that are absolute judgmental low life ass holes.  

Poor poor Daphne has to run back to Paris because she’s falling for Carter.  That just tells you that Carter’s scent is better than yours. 

Hey Ridge and Taylor, your son Thomas is not a bastion of virtue either. For that part, Stuffy has two murders on her hands plus a “crispy” Ivy.

Hey, Ridge, remember when you almost banged the woman who you first thought was your daughter, then thought was your half-sister and eventually found out was your non-biological sister? And who was, through all of that, the daughter of your Logan? Or when both of your daughters slept with your brother, their non-biological uncle? 

Taylor, what has Finn done to Steffy, exactly?  Be born?  Had sex a good 20 years before he met her? And you asking Steffy to remember how Finn acted when he first found out Sheila was his birth mother is pretty rich. Do you remember how you acted when you found out Sheila was Finn's birth mother?  Do you remember that it was you who encouraged Steffy to invite her over for the holidays?  That it was you who became Sheila's friend and confidante?  The way she kept going on about Finn, after she literally just spent an episode (which seems to be earlier this same day in their time) going on and on about how wonderful Finn is and how good it is to know how much he loves and protects Steffy. 

And I just laughed every time she told Steffy that she and the kids need to move in with her. Beige, you don't even have your own place. 

So far, Carter has admitted that Pepe kissed him. Is he going to admit how into it he was?  I wish Hope had held onto the fact that she saw it for a bit longer, to see if he'd admit that he was an active participant in that kiss. And is he going to admit that Pepe has been flirting with him for a while now, and that he hasn't put an ounce of effort into establishing any kid of boundary with her? Please just dump his ass, Hope. 

Given the timing of everything right now - you know that Steffy is going to listen to her parents and leave Finn, and Hope should, at minimum, be taking some time to think about whether she wants to stay with Carter - it feels likely that we're going to get something like Hope and Finn running into each other while they're both out drinking their problems away, and they end up hooking up.

Why can’t Daphne go back to Paris. I would imagine that the perfume is produced in Paris where she can oversee the production. 

When Finn enters the house the first thing he does is remove his balls and puts them in Stuffy’s bag. 

Is Finn going to tell Stuffy that Luna is in Bill’s house?  Are we going to have to endure an entourage of people entering Bill’s house to berate Luna and Bill?

Since, as far as the asshole trio over there knows, Luna is locked away in prison, most likely for life, who in the bluedilly fuck does Beige think her little princess needs protection from? Does she think Finn's latent genetic evil gene is going to kick in while Steffy is sleeping, and he's going to suffocate her with a pillow?  I mean, I'm all for that, but it doesn't actually seem plausible, Ms. WRP.  

And Finn has put Steffy in danger already with Sheila and Luna?  Um, shall we roll the tape?  Here we see Steffy going off on her own, half-cocked, to confront Sheila in an alley.  When Finn figured out what she was doing, he was the one who went running to stop her dumb ass, and he's the one who took the first bullet for his troubles.  Now, we see Steffy following Luna, all on her own to confront her with her suspicions, ending up with the most fun this show has been in a while, Bitch in a Box. Once again, Finn had to figure out what trouble his dumbass wife had gotten herself into and run off to save her. At least that time, he didn't have to take a bullet for her.  Oh, and let's not forget why it took so long for anyone to notice she was missing. When Finn informed Steffy that Hope kissed him (similarly to how Liam kissed Steffy, twice, which she STILL has not told him about), she blamed him and took off in a snit to go to her overseas mental health spa. Yep. Finn sure has dragged Steffy into all kinds of danger. 

Now we get to Carter. That asshole has the balls to stand there looking annoyed that Hope is upset about him kissing another woman and admitting that he's been getting emotionally close to that woman over the past few weeks?  How dare she! Seriously, Hope, let Pepe have him.  We all know it won't be long before he's completely thrown in with the cabal of "Hope did it!" assholes, who blame her for their every woe. That will be her reward if she forgives him for this.

Whelp, they've managed to make the twist of Finn being Luna's father, something I, along with many others saw coming months ago, into a dud.

What does it say when my only comment when filing watching Finn tell Luna he was her dad, was wow, Finn's channeling Captain Kirk in the wardrobe department today.

Yes, Finn's shirt is more beige (hey, maybe he's been raiding Beige's closet), but close enough.

And goodness knows, we need someone, anyone to beam us up from this wretched show.

It was really heartwarming to watch Beige and Hobo encourage their darling daughter to give up and run away. I hope Taylor remembers this conversation when, at the slightest hint of trouble, Ridge slides on a trail of his own grease back to Brooke. Acting like Finn chose to enter the world via Sheila’s birth canal was an inventive way to paint Steffy as the poor, put upon damsel.

It was refreshing to hear Hope tell Carter not to blame Daphne for the kiss. I wonder where show found a writer from this century to script that dialogue? Now if Carter and Hope could only put the pieces together about Steffy being LePew’s pimp.

I think the Luna/Finn reunion would be more touching had she not killed two men. Show could have had her on a downward spiral or engaging in some lesser crimes before it dawned on Dr. Dumbass that she might be his daughter. Showing us how coldly Luna offed her friend Hollis was a bridge too far. Killing Tom because he wasn’t good enough to be her father was bad enough. Oh, and she framed her own mother for the two murders. You can’t just plop Luna in a mansion with Bill and give her a do-gooder dad and expect me to give a damn. Put in the work to rehab the character or GTFO.

She came upon them right as the kiss was happening. She definitely saw that he didn't pull back, that he had his hands around Pepe's waist, that the kiss went on longer than an unwelcome kiss would go on.

This brings me to ask (apologies if this has been explored already):  WHY is there so much misogyny on this show (with the exception of Steffy)?  Women are the core soap opera audience. Why are female characters so, so, so badly portrayed/treated?

Watching Tanner Novlan try to act is so painful. I mean, at least it's not Nia Sioux but my god in heaven. And to think that he's slightly improved from his earliest days on this show. He's got the vacant, visibly confused look down pat! 👏🏻👏🏻

It's still more work than they ever put into Flo (who I still hate, almost as much as I do Thomas), but I agree.

Among other reasons, Beyond the Gates has been refreshing to watch because men who screw up (well, the one who has been getting the business thus far) aren't treated like stupid babies or slagged off as horny dogs that can't control themselves around women. They have agency in their decisions. I truly love to see it.

Me me me, it’s all about the pseudo Foresters who can’t see past anyone but themselves. It’s their feelings and can’t consider how anyone else feels.  Poppy lied about Finn being the father?  Poppy wasn’t sure that it was Finn just like Stuffy wasn’t sure who fathered Hayes or Kelly.

I think TN is a worse actor than Ronn Moss by a wide margin. And though RM wasn't much of an actor, he did have charm and charisma. You could totally believe him as this womanizing fashion designer. But OG!Ridge was also romantic and passionate with (most) of his partners. Plus despite his limitations as an actor, RM managed to have chemistry with most of his co-stars.

As always, the Sinn marriage is solely about what Steffy wants and needs. Finn doesn't get to have needs or feelings that fall out of line with what Steffy wants. Finn can just never talk about his daughter again?  He doesn't have a supportive wife who wants to listen as he works through his complicated feelings about all of this?  Just like it was when he found out Sheila was his birth mother. He wasn't allowed any time at all to figure out how he felt about it. Steffy didn't offer to listen to him talk about his feelings. 

And, yeah, I get that Luna did something awful to Steffy.  She's perfectly allowed to feel a certain way about finding out Luna is her stepdaughter. But, as far as she knows right now, Luna is locked up for life. She's not a present danger. She can't put aside her understandable animosity for Luna for 10 minutes to let Finn talk about how he feels about all of this?  She's acting like she's this brave stoic heroine, fighting for her marriage, but the one who has to fight for it is Finn. Steffy just lays down the law, and he can either get with the program, or she'll pack p the kids and leave. 

Then we had Taylor talking about how awful it is that Steffy and Finn have to suffer all these attacks on their marriage. Um, excuse me? Were you literally not just over at their home, trying to pack up Steffy and the kids and telling her she needs to leave him, that he's putting her through too much? 

Oh, Hope, you were almost there. You noticed the connection between Pepe and Steffy, but then you abandoned that train of thought to focus back on fighting for your relationship with Carter. He is so not worth it.

It was Carter's plan to take over FC by slipping himself in as manager of the LLC.  100%.  But once he presented that plan to Hope, she became an accomplice.  She was all for it.  And I don't think we can ignore the fact that she was aware HFTF would be returned to her.  Not saying she was manipulative or using Carter but she knew she would directly benefit from this takeover.  And ever since he sat in the big chair, it's been "we".  Hope actually said to Daphne today:  "When we took over FC."

So that said, Hope doesn't even acknowledge that it was shady.  And in spite of the entitled, nasty bunch involved here, it really was a shady move.  Hope feels justified cuz of the way the awful bunch humiliated her, but sorry, Hopie, it was shady, shady, shady.

But the entitled nasty bunch have got the story wrong, making Hope the villain -- to start with.  But Show is starting to morph her into the villain they keep referring to her as -- by turning Carter into a wimp & putting Hope into the position of propping him up & encouraging him to not give the company back.  Why, Show, are ya doing this?  The entitled, awful bunch must always win?  Yuck, hate it!

What this show needs is more scenes of Taylor and Ridge extolling the non-existent virtues of Steffy, hero to women everywhere. She is the strongest woman her totally unbiased parents know, which leads me to believe she’s the only woman her parents know. The devotion Steffy inspires in Finn is so powerful, so much a force of nature that it induces a sort of collective amnesia where everyone forgets that, ideally, devotion is a two way street when it comes to marriage. Also, Steffy is not only super strong; she’s a delicate flower whose fragile petals must be protected by the cult worshippers posing as her parents. If we could get a few more flashbacks of Finn busting into that doomed apartment like the Kool-Aid man, that would be the cherry on top.

Well, Daphne, isn’t it time you drag your bad posture, busted ass caricature of French people and complete lack of dignity back to Paris? Please say yes. Hope was so close to figuring things out. Steffy might as well have been standing there using LePew as a hand puppet.

So nice that Luna feels optimistic about the future. Let’s check in with Hollis to see how he feels about his. Oh, wait.

I hear you.  You're right, the takeover was Carter's idea all on his own.

But I don't think the show is morphing Hope into a villain.  Ever since the takeover, she's been standing beside or behind Carter, holding court and meetings with Carter.  They've been a duo with Carter, the titular head of the company, making very few moves on his own.  She owns her fair share of post-coup behavior.

And you're quite right about the shadiness.  Hope has never acknowledged how deceitful and underhanded Carter's subterfuge really was.  And the writing has never supported her proposition that FC employees felt downtrodden and belittled so the Forresters needed to have FC wrested away.  What's more, it's really only been Brooke, on only a handful of occasions, who makes the point that this is a private family company and leadership is in no way obligated to implement an employee's plan/vision.  Carter.

What kind of a dickless wonder is Finn not to fly over to Bill's to protect his own child from the wrath of il Principessa Stephania.

Il Principessa Stephania could burst in on Luna because, apparently, the super-rich of LA don't keep their front doors locked.

When I saw the last scene in today's preview of next week's shows, I thought "Is this the end of Poppy?"

WTF!  Daphne, Hope is using Carter to get what she wants. Has Daphne looked in the mirror?  Isn’t Daphne using Carter to get what Stuffy wants?  

WTF!  Ball-less Finn just has to tell Stuffy that Luna is on house arrest at Bill’s house.  Now the 💩 is going to hit the fan.  Do you want to bet that Stuffy is going to rush over to Bill’s house to confront Luna.  So much for Stuffy being afraid of Luna.  It looks like I won that bet. How did Stuffy get past security to barge into Bill’s house.  

WTF!  X why are you confronting Carter. Just STFU and stay in your lane.  

Daphne might be a French actress but if you listen closely, her French accent comes and goes.  Her French accent is more prevalent when she is trying to seduce Carter.  There was a line from Robin Hood Men in Tights where Cary Elwes, who plays Robin Hood, tells Prince John that the people of England will listen to him because unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent 😉

People without fathers manage to live their lives without killing a person, let alone two people, every single day. Why, sometimes people with fathers commit murder! Fuck outta here with the retrograde bullshit about Luna taking two lives because she didn’t know who her daddy was.

There goes Steffy, flying like a bat out of hell toward a confrontation with someone she believes is dangerous. By herself, mind you. Again. Like, how many times do these situations have to go badly for her? Maybe screaming in the face of someone who built a cage in a condemned building and stuck you in it isn’t the best idea? Man, this is going to backfire on Bill badly and rightfully so.

Case in point, Steffy. Despite her whining for the past decade or so, she had Daddy for all of her life and she has killed two people.

I can’t stand Steffy but I’m on her side here. Although Luna gave us the best days last summer when Steffy was in a cage, she is a murdering, gold digging, scumbag. I wouldn’t want the pig in my house either. Finn is such a pathetic simp calling Luna his little girl. He is a disgusting blubbering wimpy piece of trash. Trust me I can’t stand Taylor and Ridge but they re right. Steffy needs to put Finn’s stank ass out!

In the B&B writing room: "Hey, I have to leave early today for an appointment. Can we just pull up one of our multiple old scripts where Steffy confronted Sheila, telling her she can't be a part of Finn's life, change all the son references to father, mother to daughter, and Sheila to Luna?" 

I was waiting for Steffy to raise the concern of "has Kelly been over at Bill's house since he brought Luna there?"  Because that would be my first thought upon finding out that my child's grandfather, whose house my ex spends a lot of time at, was housing a murderer without anyone's knowledge. 

I ordinarily love Hope, but I was getting nothing but secondhand embarrassment from her scenes with Pepe. 

The Zende/Carter scenes just felt like "we need to give Carter some reason to keep thinking about Daphne in a potentially romantic way."  So they send Zende in to bug him about it.  It would have been nice if they'd spent any time building up a reason for Zende to go running to confront him. Maybe they could have cut some of the constant repeated scenes/conversations over the past few weeks and shown us Zende and Pepe becoming friends?
