Am I the only one wondering why Jax wasn't called to come and get his kid lol.

Because...who is this "Jax" you speak of?

Previews...I dislike Nikolas more than I like him these days, but if he responds to Spencer's cries about Uncle Sonny being arrested with a complete lack of surprise and/or sympathy, I will give him a one-episode free pass from my tirades about him.

When I saw that in the previews, I had this vision of Nik pushing back from the table, grabbing a party blower, throwing some confetti in the air, and dancing as "Celebration" plays.  Oh, wait, that's MY reaction.

heh. I was going to say, it would have been nice if the writers had let the POV he definitely would have, which would be "you can help this agent if you want, I will support whatever you do, but if Anna did something to Faison I would strongly recommend letting it lie."

Because there is no allowance to bring Ingo back for the handful of episodes it'll take for Jax to come and whisk her away. They do have enough to

cast Franco's mother. Heather is not enough for him

Was Faison believed to be dead or detained before he came back? I have it in my head detained, but I am not a GH expert on history... and I have a habit of zoning in and out currently. If detained... then even more so, yes, Britt should drop it and I will find this investiagtion more even ridiculous. If there's ever a case for a death penalty, it's because someone so is a threat to society cannot be kept away from society. His guilt is not in question and Britt knows that.

Maybe I am letting my vanilla milkshake bias cloud my judgement, but Cameron was Okay today. I liked his face when he met the strange man that's now living at his house. Is no adult going to point out to Liz how seriously messed up it is to let a stranger move in? I had high hopes it would be Patrick, especially considering they are going for this whole "being able to feel a connection thing", and Patrick finds Jason repellent as is (was?)

So Joss was sent to school without even knowing her mother's in jail? Ron is taking cues from Teresa Giudice now? God help us.

Whoevers idea it was to zoom the camera in on just Michael, with Monica right there being cut out, when he declared he's a Q, should be fired. But my God, it was still a satisfying moment. Carly's denial, while in character, is annoying but LW is continuing to do her job well. I did like Sonny's "he does hate us!" because that's what I said to the TV... but geeze, the faces MB was making, especially in the beginning reminded me of me... when I had diverticulitis. But over all I do think Sonny Gets It far more than Carly.

What is with the news having so many GH features lately?

Apparently Michael is just being amazing all over the damn place of late, what can't he do...? Without a college education, training, or experience. But who really needs all of that to run a mega business.

Actually, I believe Michael has all three.  I believe he was going to college and taking courses, not sure if he graduated, and he did receive training AND experience when he began working for Edward Quartermaine, himself.  Michael worked with Edward and Tracey where he learned about ELQ, contracts and closing deals.  There was a scene where Tracey advises Michael that one of the client's specifically asked for Michael to close the deal.  Then when AJ came to town, Michael got more experience and training with AJ and Duke and Tracy.  Now is he ripe for a CEO position? No, but let's face it, the Qs are slim pickings right now.  It's only Tracey, who can't be trusted, Ned, who doesn't want the job, and Michael - who didn't want the job either.  That being said, he did not start without any training or experience in working at ELQ.

Poor Joss has no competent guardian at this point.

Well, that's been true for quite some time now.  I think Michael should take her, and they should both go live in the Q mansion.  Joss has some natural snark ability, and with the proper training she could turn in to a great Q.  If Skye can be a Q, why not Joss?

While Michael declaring himself a Quartermaine was satisfying, I love even more how he's comprehending the levels of Sonny and Carly's deception. He caught that  Carly destroyed the tape because she wanted to erase all evidence against Sonny and let them know he sees her action for what it is. It is little gems like these that give me hope that this won't be a short term fallout.

Michael is angry but not blindly so. He is seeing them clearly for who they are.

THIS!  I noticed this too, and I loved it.  Carly wasn't even aware when she said it how she just admitted to ANOTHER betrayal to Michael.  Michael isn't even shocked or horrified at this point anymore, but he clearly sees them now for who they truly are.  Sonny at least knows he is caught and that he lost his son.  Carly still believes that MIchael "just needs time."  I can't blame her completely considering how many times Michael has forgiven them, but now she's starting to realize that she has lost her son too.  When Michael called her "Carly." LW reacted perfectly.  It was just the right amount of shock and pain.

Whatever he has it's enough to perhaps work "for" the company at best but not to "run" the company. He is running ELQ, nothing he's done so far gives him the capacity to do so except that he got enough votes for the position, that was my point. Plenty of people end up in a ruling position undeservedly.

Joss has a grandmother, a uncle and a father who all can care for her quite well. Why does she need Michael? He himself is still in need of a father figure, let alone trying to raise a little girl.

And Skye didn't have Carly's genes as Joss does, which makes quite a bit of difference imho.

Before his return in 2012?  He was believed to have blown up in a boat in the early 2000s. But given that he had been believed to have blown up in a boat once before in 1992, you'd think people would have been a bit more skeptical.

At this point, he's like Heather and her day passes from the sanitariums.

Laura Wright was really pitch perfect in that moment.  The look on Carly's face, it was like Michael had cracked her (theoretical) soul.

Of course he isn't qualified, but lets face it that isn't anything new on soaps. How exactly is Dr O, a known criminal and insane person more qualified to be the Chief of Staff than Monica? Hell, even Sonny isn't qualified to be the 'Godfather' of his little mob.

Still I'd much rather watch Michael as the head of ELQ over Tracy. She just gives me a rash. Maybe Michael can start taking over Sonny's legit businesses or something.

The kiddie crap was tiresome. I cannot stand that stuff and I flat out don't believe kids that age talk that way.

Anna imitating Faison? Gold. Some government agent caring at all about Faison? Unlikely.

I'm aware he's in charge because it's a soap, he just happens to be a soap character I wish would fall off a parapet.

But I won't get into all the many ways I can't stand the little snot, I have to save something for the rest of the week. Frankly I don't care who runs ELQ, I just don't want it to be Michael because he annoys me and him getting in Tracy's face does nothing to help that.

Really Alan should be in that chair...and now I've gone and made myself depressed. *sighs*

That was the last thing Alan wanted.  Really, at this point, it should be Ned.

I did think it was gross today that Ned linked Tracy's failures as CEO to her terrible taste in men.  Yuck-o.

Yes Alan hated the business but with Edward gone who knows what might have happened. If this show can turn Franco into a "hero" then I can dream about Alan ruling ELQ and becoming the head of the Q family.

I don't get the heat for Michael taking on Tracy.  Tracy is an ass

Imo so is he. I like Tracy more than I will ever even tolerate Michael, that's good enough reason for me to want him taken out by a stray bullet from Shawn's gun.

Bring Dillon back. I know he was into film and quirky but that was years ago, and he was young. Perhaps he had pitfalls in that career and would be willing to go the business route (with a new actor, naturally) and maybe even still be a bit "harder" with losing his first love so violently and all...

Ron & Frank must be so proud of themselves. Last night, the awful Once Upon a Time copied crypt!sex, and now tonight the awful, awful, awful, awful State of Affairs is copying the on-screen texting.

ETA: did I misheard or did Jake refer to Franco as "Freakco"?

If so, I'm going to consider it a personal trolling by whoever on staff is clearing lurking here.

she's sprung for Luke Spencer, which should disqualify her right there, except she's actually sprung for FLUKE, which is even more embarrassing.  I actually like Tracy, but she's been living off nothing but the fumes of her Fierce Bitch reputation for a LONG time now

Completely agree. RC has dumbed her down so much with this Luke/Fluke stuff, it's just sad. I've never been a huge Tracy fan mainly because I often find JE too yell-y but I've rarely thought of the character as stupid.

I personally prefer scenes like today when Michael just coolly and coldly told Sonny and Carly a few truths. I liked when Anna calmly went into her Faison act.

LW and CD have been terrific over the last few days, MB not so much.

I'll say this about the head of ELQ position: at least Michael is one of the few 20 somethings on this show with a job. If I had to believe Victoria and Nick could run businesses and corporations on Y&R, then I can handle Michael as the head of ELQ. These are things I can get past and it's easier than say more rubber masks or a serial killer romantic lead or little kids who talk about love like adults or that Sonny is supposed to be a crime boss. YMMV.

I still say Billy should have been Dillon if he was to return.

Really it should have been Justus' turn, oh Justus...another Q lost to Sonny's mob life for no goddamn good reason, and it wasn't even the real Justus at that.

I wanted to quote, but I got too lazy and tired to do it, so:

1. FH is everything. She was in my dream last night, unfortunately not an Anna/Dante/Nathan threesome, but I remember being really excited all the same. The women really outact the men consistently. I'm so rarely impressed by the guys while the women just thrill me to death.

2. Sam's hair, gorgeous. I would have loved for her to see the pic on the mantle and then comment to Liz, "Wasn't this gay porn hairstyle the worst?" For some reason, I am refraining from my Liz snark. And she deserves it for being stupid enough to move the guy in, but oh well.

3. Free Joss.

4. The rest really kind of bores me.

Emma??

Patrick aka the town's worst babysitter had no reaction to that, either. And apparently doesn't care that Carly is accused of covering up the murder of an innocent man.

I hope Jakeson has a brain malfunction and sets Liz's house on fire. Even better if she's inside.

Emma: "Kitty!"

Yes.   And also the shitty jokes too.

I expected Sam to have more of a reaction as well.  I mean, even a passing, well shit I wonder if Micheal's ok, would have sufficed.    I mean she practically co raised him off and on throughout his shitty shitty childhood when his shitty shitty parents were off doing shitty shitty things.   But no, we have to have the same stupid dialogue between SamTrick about Larry Ashton.

FH was just brilliantly wonderful; I still think Faison is alive, though.

And CD did a great job today as Michael. Cold with Sonny and Carly, and firm with the Qs about his name change.

Michael Quartermaine- I have waited ages for this day. It was glorious. I would have loved to see Monica's reaction shot. Same with him disowning his parents again. And is this the rebuilding of Sonny? He's doing something unselfishly for once in his life?

Why was Sam on kid duty again when she has her own toddler at home? I FFed through that crap.

He wanted to have sex with Snarles in 2005/06. I try to block it out.

OnceSane, KeMo did look pretty today. I liked that Sam was the only one who felt something about Jason. Liz and Patrick have no sense that this dude is familiar at all.

Also, has Liz been too busy swooning over Jake(son) to see the news about Sonny killing AJ and Carly being arrested? I kinda wanted to see her reactions to both those developments.

I am convinced that Sonny will see to it that Michael will get that tape. I believe that he is planning on making a plea deal. Apparently, yes.  And it's a shame, because at first I thought the nod to Joss looking a child of the corn were funny.  Now it's just tortured and stupid.  You know what would be funny?  If we got a subtle reference to it every 3 months or so.  Beating us over the head with Corn, Corn, Corn every time Joss is on?  Not funny.

The relationships on this show are so disjointed that, until I read comments above, it didn't even occur to me that Sam should have any reaction to the Sonny/ Carly/ AJ/ Michael storyline.  That's a shame.  Sam should have a major reaction to this, because of her history with Sonny and because of her hatred of Carly and because of her relationship with Michael and how much he meant to Jason.  Also, she hired a stripper to date Michael, so she's obviously invested in the kid's happiness.  Maybe it's coming soon?

Any time a scene ends on Britt these days, I have taken to crying out a description of her vague, underwhelming, often inappropriate-to-the-scene expression of the moment. They are all largely synonymous. I am lying to Nikolas about his son's disappearance? "Misty nausea!" I am troubled by my past actions? "Foggy indecision!" My mother is struggling to connect with me? "Dull surprise!" A strange man tells me my father may have been executed? "Mild concern!"

You think I am making this up for a post. I am not. I did it five minutes ago.

Oh, and I get it, Ron. Spencer and Obrecht = gr8. Cameron and Anna = sanctimonious buzzkills who are No Better* So They Deserve What They Get. I get it. Stop. Christ, Cameron's like an eight year old dayplayer. This applies to many characters, unfortunately. Ron always has to tear down anyone with a legitimate beef against his "fierce" favorites. I think Kathleen Gati does wonderful work with this tripe, but if they'd never gone all-out with her I suspect Finola would be featured a lot more than she currently is, as she was in prior years.

(* - because Anna lied about Faison and Cameron mocked Spencer, see? Totally the same thing as Obrecht's bad deeds. Franco has killed a shitload of people but look what Sonny and Carly did! Shades of gray y'all! Moral abyss, son!)

I almost went out and beat up a tree when I heard that line. And it's 3 AM and it's cold out there. Did you know Spencer, Obrecht, and Rosalie are also supporting characters who have become surprising fan favorites who can now be seen onscreen regularly in greatly expanded roles? Watch and learn!

I agree with so much of your post.  And I'm a person who likes Spencer.  But I hate that the show seems to want us to think he's awesome at the expense of Cameron. Although, Cam did get some digs in today, so that's something (it's barely anything).

I mean, look, I think that kid playing NuCameron is little better than a carved marionette. They should totally recast. But it's still this tiny little kid and they seem to take the same relish in sniffing at his "sanctimony" as they now do with adults like Anna, Liz, Fat Dead A.J., etc. What exactly does the kid do except harsh on Spencer's schemes and nonsense? Nothing. What does Anna do to Obrecht and her loved ones that they have not richly deserved? What does Elizabeth give Dr. O that she hasn't earned for shooting Liz? I could go on. But in Ron's world, it's always about punishing The Haters.

Haters include: Anna, Liz, Fat Dead A.J., pint-sized Cameron, sometimes Emma (Josslyn has been deemed cooler and also has corn), possibly Michael soon enough, Silas on recurring, Love Boat Scott

Hater alumni: Monica, Ned, Lulu (during the Georgie story), Julian, and occasionally Robin (he loves you but he'll get you for Sabrina someday)

When the Hater Squad is on, someone is going to get reamed by a recurring favorite who can be played without fear of a binding contractual episode guarantee. Or Roger Howarth, or Michelle Stafford.

(Edited once more to say that I should add, I do think Linda Tovar has done a good job these last couple days in bed with Michael. I still think they're weird together but they were sweet and nice and she wasn't trying too hard. She still comes off as real lucky to have this part, but I don't mind her in very, very small doses with less bitchface.)

Oh, and one more thing: Anna tormenting Obrecht was great. I know, I know, based on that scene, in Ron's mind, we're supposed to see Anna as a sanctimonious Hater who is No Better than Obrecht. Too bad! She is! She's way better! Anna has also killed a lot of people for the good of our planet, swimming in a river of righteous blood full of the corpses of the unbelievers. She is a trained killer. Obrecht should know better.

Finola Hughes can play queen bitch in her sleep and has been doing it for decades, all the way back to her hilarious turn in Staying Alive with John Travolta. They need to let her get that nasty and tough more often. She always gives Anna so much integrity and strength even when she often has very little to work with lately, but when she really gets to let loose and get mean, we are reminded of what she can really do when they let her off the leash. She is far scarier than Gati, who is just fun these days at best.

I love Anders Hove, and I know Ron won't do it, but I honestly want Anna to put him down this time. It's past deadline. There was no excuse - none - for the Scorpios leaving him alive last time. Faison cost them their life and their family for decades. He will break out of any cage you put him in and he will destroy people you love. Give him one last run and end it.

Unfortunately, I suspect if they go there this time they will let Obrecht get the killing blow. Gotta get Gati that Emmy!

Maura and Ava have lasted a lot longer than I thought they would this year. I have no idea where this is going next if she is hanging in. Ava would broker any deal against both Sonny and Julian to keep her ass out of prison, but I don't think she has enough Anna wants.
