Ava' s burns are not so bad.

why isnt this crap cancelled?

Kevin's not sorry he's not on this soap.

I just watched the last 3 eps and just when I think it can't get any worse they prove me wrong.  Outside of RBu's A-game acting (talk about a swan song) this show sucks mightily. But I did notice no Franco so there is that.

ITA Mac was looking mighty fine.

Mighty. fine.

I do not like Dr. Michael Easton being treated as one of the Q's, I don't like it one bit.  And was Rebecca Budig living there, is that why Liz went running up the stairs to look for her?  I don't care for that either!

Sam/Sonny story = stupid.

Previews...ugh, Parker.

"I keep giving you answers, you don't want to hear it!" Yeah, Dante, why can't you just swallow Sonny's lies and move on? Sonny spent a whole 24 hours in that hole suffering from a gunshot wound, and now he's being burdened with repeatedly lying to the police. Can't a guy catch a break?

Damn, Hayden cut and run with Finn's baby. I wouldn't have a problem with her jilting him if she weren't pregnant, but to run away with his baby is really foul. I feel sorry for Finn/Hayden fans, because this is a shitty ending for them.

I kind of loved Monica getting exasperated with Olivia. Cook was her employee, and Olivia firing her was a major overstep. Olivia should maybe stop worrying about who's cooking the food and find out who's cooking her husband, because Ned's skin tone now resembles deep fried chicken. Seriously, Wally Kurth, enough with the tan.

Curtis looked fine in his suit.

I'm not a violent person, but I find my hands itching to throttle (or worse) Olivia Quartermaine for her clueless, ungrateful actions towards Monica's household help. And blind-in-love Ned has her back! I hope Monica throws Ned and his bride out. Olivia cannot possibly do all the cooking for Monica's household. She has a baby, a business partnership, and a new marriage.

Now that Rachel has absconded after putting the embezzled money back, will Dr O's plan backfire and get her in trouble with Rachel's ex?

Jason protecting Sam by threatening Julian was dumb deja vu. Are we supposed to believe that "Sam pulled the trigger but Julian is actually the guilty one" ? Good luck making that stick.

LOL. This is the Sonny that always amuses me even as he exasperates me. I kind of love that the writers haven't gotten rid of that aspect of his character.

I feel like something still has to happen re: the baby.  Maybe Mr. Rebecca Budig goes after her and she somehow miscarries?

Sam honey, the only thing you did wrong was shooting Sonny and not finishing the job.  LOL at Alexis treating the hospital like a hotel -- you don't get to decide how long you stay in the hospital, that's between the doctor and the insurance company.

I knew it was going to be all Julian's fault.

I didn't see Hayden today.   But I did see Liz wearing a red bra with a peek-a-boo dark blue dress and wished I hadn't.

You can tell Hayden's ex is a bad man -- he just threw his coffee cup and plastic lid on the grass instead of putting it in the trash bin.  I"m enjoying Liesl's split second moment of victory though.

Because they're there, most likely.

I was thinking this weekend about Julian's trial, and how most of the trials these days are bench trials so that Frank doesn't have to fork over the dough for extras to sit in the jury box.

Good one!,

Monica was the one who told Olivia 'go for it" or whatever her pep talk was so she shouldn't be so pissed that Olivia took her advice.  I think Olivia would have time to plan the meals and do some cooking, she could hire a sous chef and some staff to help her.  The Quartermaines will finally have a delicious Thanksgiving!!

I can appreciate Ned having his new wife's back as opposed to siding with Monica. But I will also fanwank that offscreen he told Olivia that she overstepped.

No matter how much they try, Julian will never be THE Big Bad to me. In spite of what delusional Sam said a few days ago, he did not tell her to kill Sonny. He was talking to her as if she were a reasonable person, telling her there was only one way to get Sonny out of her life for good. She was already on an anti-Sonny crusade, so, for me anyway, he didn't even put the idea in her head, although I understand mileage may vary on this.

I still think we would have had a better show the last few years if Julian had been working undercover for the WSB. Considering all the off-screen troubles that agency has had in the last few years, whatever he did could have been easily explained, and it would have been a better use of the actor.

Julian will never be the Big Bad for me, either. For one thing, he's too dumb. For another, he doesn't have the ambition. He simply doesn't care enough to make the continual effort it takes. Blaming Julian for Sam shooting Sonny is ridiculous. Sam is sick. Why can't that be the reason? I can't believe they think she needs that sort of propping. Though I wonder if this was written when they thought WdV wasn't returning, and this gave him an exit.

Ugh, the unfathomable pinheadery (™ Fargo) of this story gives me a rage blackout. Though LOL that Sam seemed to have the presence of mind to wipe the gun clean of prints.

One reason why I'd rather see him than Sonny or Jason.  His "take it or leave it" attitude warms my anti-mob heart.

But of course they have to blame it on him.  Heaven forfend Sam actually be truth-telling when she said how bad it was for Jason to be in Sonny's mob.

Jason laying down the law to Sam's father that he has to stay away from her reminds me of the worst of abusive husbands.  It's her decision what kind of relationship she has with her father, not Jason's.

It's too bad Liesl always brings a flamethrower to a wrestling match, though. And why? Because Finn humiliated her professionally in a way that she totally could have ignored. They could have be cordial colleagues, but Dr. O isn't built that way. She's a self-saboteur.

Couldn't care less about the Sonny crap. The Stupid 4 can't lose anyway. All Sam had to do was tell the police. She has a major life threatening brain infection. Pretty sure she would be cleared. Especially if her "victim" isn't very cooperative.

Oh, and Jason? You don't control Sam's relationship with anybody. That is on Sam. If she decides to see Julian or cut him out, it is on her. Not you.

Poor Dr. Michael Easton. HayChel decides to cut and run. Leaving him in her dust, apparently.

Did no one notice HayChel stuffing everything in her bags and leaving for her "hair" appointment? Like she would've been able to drag everything out without asking for help. The woman is 90 lbs soaking wet.

I cannot believe that Ned was even trying to defend Olivia. Once again, Cook is Monica's employee. If Olivia doesn't like how Cook treats people, she can leave Monica's home. There is no defense for Olivia's firing an employee who is not being paid by her. Monica should be livid. And she should tell Olivia to get Cook back. No matter how much crow Olivia needs to eat. And to get the hell out if she doesn't like her rent/mortgage free home. Jebus. You'd think that Monica wouldn't have to keep reminding people whose house it is.

But I don't get the idea that Kiki actually cooks for Dillon, or that Nelle cooks for Michael. (Bedmates, yes). And don't forget all the free babysitting Monica is expected  to give at the drop of a hat (is it to Danny and Scout? Or to Liz's children?) Also, Monica has always liked her intimate dinner parties, and is expected to host weddings, receptions, and holidays from time to time.

Well, why can't Dillon or Michael cook for their girlfriends? Especially if they've pretty much moved in with them.

Anyway, I'm in the Olivia-had-no-business-firing-Monica's-employee camp. Like otherwise have said, it's no different than Monica walking into the MetroCourt and firing the chef. If Olivia had a problem with Cook, she should have taken it up with Monica.

Combine that with the way he was talking to Sam today -- as if she were a rather slow child, IMO --  and you'll know why I was getting a very strange vibe off him today.

I wonder is this is a way of douchifying NuJason before SB returns.

Instead of Sonny telling Dante that he does not know the details of his getting shot, (it happens so often that all those little details tend to get blurry) why doesn't Sonny just say that Garvey had some men with him and he does not know who they are or which one shot him.  At least that would be more believable and maybe Dante would back off.

Well, obviously, we are in two camps on the Olivia/Cook affair (Team Olivia here), but geez, at least something is generating discussion and differing opinions, rousing us from our torpor a little. I just can't give a crap about a character who doesn't even exist, even more than all GH characters don't exist. Cook is some production assistants banging pots together off-camera while the Quartermaines tiptoe around and talk about being afraid of her, which never made a lick of sense to me. I know it was supposed to be comic relief, but it stopped being funny to me quite some time ago (like, decades), if it ever was. So I'm going to be on the side of any character who promises to end it.

I was interested in whatever Olivia kept starting to say to Monica before being cut off. It's sad that this is the best story on GH at the moment, by default.

The character of Olivia has been all over the place for the whole time she has been on the show, and it seems that her personality of the moment is contrived to be whatever is needed for a story (or to contrast with whatever set of characters she's interacting with), but I do like her and the actress. The only time I wanted her gone was when she was showing up at Alexis's with a gigantic picture for the mantle, crashing Julexis dates and acting either (1) unbelievably clueless or (2) like a bitch about it.

I also like to see characters interacting who do not usually, such as Ned and Liz, and Michael and Liz. That plus the lack of Carly nudged this episode to above average.

If they're going to bring Cameron Mathison on, they should wait until they create a character who is emotionally upset a lot. I've so badly missed the patented "scrunched-up face/hands through hair/hands steepled behind head" routine. That was acting on the highest level.

You can tell Hayden's ex is a bad man -- he just threw his coffee cup and plastic lid on the grass instead of putting it in the trash bin.

Oh, it's even worse than that. He smokes cigarettes. Even Liesl was appalled!

Olivia did, but in typical Olivia fashion, she wasn't willing to compromise. She probably demanded that Cook allow her to make whatever she wants whenever she wants, and when Cook refused, Olivia tried that dumb book offer. When that didn't work, Olivia didn't ask how to make it work, she fired Cook. Now we'll get Olivia whining about how she's not accepted into the Q family, or some such nonsense, when all of this was completely avoidable. But Olivia had to be a bulldozer.

The thing about Monica being livid is that it's always hard for me to tell. I cannot put my finger on what exactly is wrong, but Leslie Charleson has a range issue where there isn't much of a difference in her expressions and vocal tone between "baseline" and "mildly irritated" and "furious." I have to go by the words. She seems harried and exasperated all the time.

However, if she makes a big honking deal out of this Cook ish, I actually hope Olivia and Ned do move out. They can certainly afford it. It's a little creepy for newlyweds to be living with the husband's ex-lover anyway, and the fact that she has this "matriarchal" presence as the owner of the house and the female head of the clan doesn't help. But something tells me if the topic is even broached, Monica will be asking them to stay, and for writing/shooting purposes, it makes more sense to keep as many characters as justifiable living at the Q mansion. If Ned and Olivia weren't there anymore, there would be scant reason to ever show the place. So many of the others are dead or off the canvas.

This.  Olivia's first instinct is too always overstep…and then act surprised and/or hurt that everyone didn't love her overbearing ass.  As much as we complain about mob wars, this is the character who should have been caught in the crossfire years ago.

Well they wouldn't if they didn't realize he was doing it/didn't think it sounded that way. I'm sure there are some people who thought "what?" when I wrote that BM talks as if he's talking to a kid to his love interests sometimes. It's not really something I could provide an example of in writing, it's mostly his tone, although I'm curious to know if it's him who sometimes throws in those "my little ____" or the writers.

How would Q fans feel about getting rid of the living room set? I'm not a major Q fan*, so my instinct is for the show to be serious about re-building the Qs or get off the pot, but like I said, I'm not a Q fan.

*Well, I liked Tracy, Dillon, Ned, but I dislike the recast and Ned doesn't really appeal to me anymore. If I were going to rebuild the Qs I'd bring back Brook Lynn and recast Dillon.

I think FV must really like LLC, because technically she was demoted (put on recurring) but we still see her a decent amount. Like @Asp Burger I don't mind her but my personal achilles' heel with her was not the Julian stuff but when she goes on about what a great dad Sonny is.

I hate the "Sonny is a great dad" attitude from anyone, but when Olivia ranks him above Julian, it's just absurd. They're both mediocre gangsters who've killed people. It's especially enraging to me because Olivia was an adult who slept with Julian knowing exactly who he is. I can give teenage Olivia a pass on Sonny back then, but not today. Ugh, one of my all-time rage-blackout stories.

Oh, I meant me explaining it in writing in my post, like I can't explain in this post why sometimes BM's romantic talk sounds like baby talk. I should have wrote "it's not something I can explain in writing", not "provide an example in writing". I can provide two examples in show writing off the top of my head: "my little pheonix" and that time he said "whatever makes your little heart happy."

I wouldn't say she loved it, but yeah, she accepted it and that is why she was feted as the perfect love interest for Jason for a decade. And her having kids now doesn't really make it less hypocritical because she was actively trying to have children with Jason the whole time, or most of it, anyway.  But my problem isn't that Sam feels differently now, it's that they will never have her say, "wow, I wrong for belittling people who couldn't accept/didn't approve of Jason being a mobster". The show wants Sam and Carly to want away from the mob, because of the violence apparently, but they will never have them acknowledge that what Sonny and Jason did/do was horrible, because that would mean acknowledging that Sonny and Jason committed crimes, horrible ones.

The show would still whitewash it: Sonny and Jason were forced to retaliate; it was only business, etc. At this point I don't care, because there will always be some excuse. But I'd like there to be a substantial minority that is able to call them on their crap without that minority being mocked and belittled. Let them legitimately hate/disapprove of those four characters and not be sneered at. There's no balance: People either love Sonny/Jason or they're being ridiculous for holding a (reasonable) grudge. Or they end up like Dr. O and are cartoonish, mustache-twirling villains, so of course we don't root for them.

Carly lecturing Joss about lying, breaking the rules, and suffering the consequences was laughable. Nobody owns hypocrisy quite like Carly. And it actually took me a second to realize that Sam was dreaming about Carly, because storming into a room and calling someone a bitch is textbook Carly behavior. Sam's unconscious knows what's up.

Yet another mention of Oscar not having a dad. We ever going to get follow through with that or is One Parent Oscar going to be his claim to fame?

Kristina looks like a child next to Parker. I still see no point in retreading this stuff. I'd like to see some bisexuality representation on GH, but not like this.

Ava and Griffin teasing each other and taking sips from a flask is my kind of aesthetic. I appreciated him telling her he wasn't giving her pity, but he was enjoying getting to know her. That's what she needs to hear--that she's not a monster or a victim, but rather a complex individual who is deserving of kindness.

Putting Franco in the previews is a guaranteed way to drop my interest in tomorrow's episode down to negative numbers, so good job, show.

Oh look, Jason "look at me, I'm out!" Morgan using the threat of the mob to get a crooked cop to steal evidence for him so he can dump the gun for Sam. That's TOTALLY being out of the mob!  Such an asshole.  I did get a genuine laugh when the other cop told Dante that Jason was sniffing around the same time.  Good work being inconspicuous Jason. Idiot.

I don't care what Parker says. Her ass showed up to make trouble. She just HAPPENS to come across Kristina/Alexis at the park? Didn't immediately turn around and walk away? Uh huh.  And of course Kristina acts like a brain dead moron, rushing to Parker's defense instead of being suspicious and WARY.  Tantruming that she's a GROWN WOMAN was funny though.  I do love that Alexis ain't buying that peddled shit from Parker or her innocent act. She knows that using heifer is up to no good.  Of course not, the minute Alexis leaves, Kristina falls right back into bad habits and Parker is all too glad to welcome it. Ugh.
