That may be true but I think this doctor was the one Brooks specifically mentioned to Heather.  He told her he thought she might know him and he is the one that Brooks is going to for that other treatment, the non-chemo one.  I can't remember the name but it starts with an "R" and ends with "trol."  I know that's not very helpful but it's the best I can do right now.  It's late and I'm tired.  LOL

Yeah, I  hear you. If he is lying, then he is a horrible person and I will be very angry. Up until now, I have not seen anything convincing,but I have a high burden of proof in accusing someone of lying about an illness, especially on what has been, before now flimsy proof, like he doesn't look sick. I'm 45 and a 25 year AIDS survivor. That's me in my avatar. I think I look pretty good. People always comment about how they would never guess I had an illness. Anyone who asked me to prove  my illness would get a big ##** you.

 I really really hope he's not lying. It just makes it harder for people like you and me

She probably did check the doctor out online.  And probably called the office to make sure.  She got the name of the doctor from Brooks IIRC.

Brooks told them about his new doctor. Said the doctor cured himself of cancer with Resverotrol (thank you JennyMom) and said Heather might know him.

Sorry it's weird. If this was Tamara or Brianna going all out to question his diagnosis, I might find it a bit more understandable. At least there is some history there. Meghan barely knows Brooks. She has made "cancer" her storyline on this show and its gross. There is just nothing right about this.

So, I didn't watch the first look, but I think there's a world of difference between occasionally shit-talking about a pseudo-celebrity and what Meghan did here.

The Brooks/cancer storyline is incredibly tedious and in bad taste. I have no interest in it at all. Same with Shannon's marriage. I don't understand what Meghan stands to gain here. If this is what she does in the name of "justice" then thank goodness she's not an attorney.

This season is running...out...of....gas for me and seems likely to roll to a dead stop. I gave up on RHoNY at the two-thirds mark this season and I'll guess I'll hang with OC through the reunion but there will be a LOT of fast-forwarding.

For a grifting scumball, sleazebag lying liar who lies Crooks sure is bad at it. What kills me if he is indeed lying about cancer at least do all your research and come up with a decent coherent story so that he can have his shit together when people ask him questions, especially if one of those people, like Vicki's daughter Brianna, is a nurse. And when all those doctor recommendations come in just tell people that you appreciate their concern and advice but are comfortable with your current health care provider and course of treatment and you prefer not to discuss it. Easy peasy.

I don't recall the Brooks saying the doctor who stopped treatment with chemo in favor of reserveratrol being an oncologist or hematologist, for all we know he could have been a podiatrist, chiropractor or gynecologist.  Many, many people who offer "nutritional counseling" do not claim to treat cancer patient but offer nutritional alternatives.  So Meghan making a phone call-we have only her word for it, asking a physician's office about  treating cancer is a bit of a misdirection.  I question why these folks are grilling Brooks or Vicki about what doctors, what clinic or whatever. 

 

Vicki has given us what I believe to be incontrovertible evidence that Brooks had undergone chemo treatment with her dramatic description of the high fevers, vomiting and going with him to chemo.  I doubt Brooks is a great enough actor to cause a spike in temperature.  It is not as if Brooks can be dropped off at chemo and sneak at the back and return to be picked up after a fake infusion.  Vicki would have to be complicit.

Shannon had a major meltdown bowling going on and on about fruit smoothies being full of sugar.  When they were out to dinner Shannon grimaced over the tequila he ordered-full of sugar, she talked about the sake at the studio with him.  IMO that may have been what has scared Brooks away from Shannon and her way to treat cancer.

Thank you!  it drives me crazy how quickly people accept a theory about health and fitness without solid research then get upset when others don't jump on board.  I would always take the approach that of Shannon believes in it, it's probably bullshit.  Oh wait, I had better go have my energy healer hold a Twister game spinner over my navel to tell me how I feel.  Then he can hold his hands near me and tell me I'm tense.  Maybe I'll get the testing he gave Vicki and he'll shove his thumb in my ass.

Thank you!  it drives me crazy how quickly people accept a theory about health and fitness without solid research then get upset when others don't jump on board.  I would always take the approach that of Shannon believes in it, it's probably bullshit.  Oh wait, I had better go have my energy healer hold a Twister game spinner over my navel to tell me how I feel.  Then he can hold his hands near me and tell me I'm tense.  Maybe I'll get the testing he gave Vicki and he'll shove his thumb in my ass.

All I remember about Tamra's family is they drink moonshine and pretty much called her a liar about saying she was never told she was loved.  Long live Tamra Sue Waddleand her clan.  I was so hoping Ryan would name the baby after his mother.

Shannon went a bit ballistic when she learned his diet consisted of smoothies.  She said something like "he can't have one meal every two or three weeks."  That's not an exact quote but it's close.

I think Shannon's incredulousness had to do with the smoothies being fruit smoothies - not protein or vegetable, but all fruit, which are, of course, full of sugar. There was a scene where she tried to tell him the benefits of proteins, and he cut her off. The asshole scam artist simply likes fruit smoothies, and his smoothie diet helped him lose 42 lbs. Not the cancer, not the chemo, but smoothies! I noticed in one of Vicki's recent blogs, she caught on to this mistake, and now claims that Brooks drinks all-vegetable juices as part of his treatment. Nice try, Vicki.

I'm howling at the two flat tires, Brooks might have made it on one flat tire if he had a spare but best to be safe and make it two.

I really don't care if this schmuck has cancer and if he is pretending then karma have your way.

Yeah, I think Shannon's point was that it wasn't sufficient nutrition period, much less for someone whose body is fighting off cancer.

Shannon's theory is no sugar and she is a huge subscriber to the candida diet which allows no fruit  Can't weigh in if it is right or wrong it is just her way of thinking and it works for her at 120 lbs and 5'7" tall.   So it would stave off cancer  . . .. right?

I don't dislike Shannon but I think she has taken this request from a friend a bit too far.  It seems before meeting with her Brooks was under the care of a doctor or nutritionist that was big on the coffee enemas and juices and no white food.   Maybe Shannon's  find does not differ all that much for what Brooks was doing.  Not to be indelicate but perhaps Brooks insurance doesn't cover third, fourth opinions, and always these different physicians.  There is a time to back away gracefully.

 

How does casting doubt on Brooks story help Vicki?  Would Shannon have appreciated if last year all her RHOC cast mates ran around checking in David?  There are just some things that should not be discussed.  BTW Heather's perception is a bit off-at the party she claims it is Shannon who is so curious it is Meghan.  Shannon used her tired old the truth will come out.   

If this has been covered somewhere else, my apologies - but my nagging question is - who is paying for Brooks' insurance?  And his out of pocket expenses? 

  I would imagine some of the non-traditional therapies aren't covered.  Given that we experienced plenty of out of pocket traditional expenses for my husband's late brother, I wonder who is paying the bills - besides Vicki.
