I may have reported a particular hateful post a while ago, and finally Facebook agreed. It took an appeal but I’m ok with that. 😁 I’m thinking others may have done the same.

If this is truly a dig at Jill from Ellen, then I have to say that I really, really enjoy Ellen's passive-aggressive methods of getting under Jill's skin.  The Rods have a family band and everyone knows it, and yet they were relegated to warbling at the rehearsal dinner instead of the wedding.  Well-played, Ellen. 💯

As for Phillip's poem - disturbing imagery and tone, for certain.  But if this is really his writings, then he has a gift that he did NOT get at Jill's dining room table.  He even repeats certain words for emphasis and gives strong visuals as well.  I am just an English major and no expert but I was impressed, if also unsettled.  I hope he's okay - it sounds like he is fighting something, if this is an indication of his mindset.

I think they'd be wise to distance themselves from Jill. She would likely retaliate by not allowing him access to his siblings. That's sad, but at least they have a warm, loving family in the Coveretts and Tim would have the hope of reconciling with his siblings one day....when Jill is out of the picture!

There is a certain Dementor-like quality of Tim's kiss to Heidi, now that you mention it.

If Ellen's post is about Jill - again, I say bravo for not letting Jill run roughshod over anything to do with Tim and Heidi's wedding.  I'd imagine it wasn't easy, nor pleasant.  I assume Jill is extremely skilled at the art of manipulating to get her way.  And I agree that whether or not that post is directed at Jill, I'm certain that Jill thinks it is, which makes me happy.

Last time I checked Ellen's FB, a couple of days ago, Plexus was the first thing mentioned in her bio. eta Just checked again looking for Hallie's post, and it's still there. It looks like the wedding pics are now private.

Tim did the dip kiss multiple times during the reception. Poor Heidi.

This is so true. Here we have Timothy, who went on "double dates" with his sister as his date and their parents. Timothy who mailed valentines gifts to florida for mama and Nurie while he was at Moody, and who made a video alluding to marrying his sister. (I can't remember the wording)

I’d be fine if she just left it at first kiss, even though as a parent, it’s weird to hyper focus on that. The posts I saw were all Gods purity and various hashtags. She went over to the top, as we all know, is just her style.

Whoa!  Jill is not used to any pushback at all from her kids' in laws.  She is not going to take this well.  It also removes any doubt about what Ellen was saying in her post and who it was aimed at.  First their church and now Tim's in-laws; Jill  has had a rough month.  Good!

I’m really surprised that people feel empowered to post negative comments on her FB.  She tends to block people for that.  In addition, quite honestly, it’s nothing different than she’s been posting for forever.  It does go to show that the Coveretts aren’t in lock-step with the Rods in their spiritual beliefs. And they aren’t going to let Heidi get steamrolled.  Now if they’d just stand up for their nephew Jonathan. 
 

it’s sad that Tim and Heidi can’t get through their honeymoon without  the in-law drama.

You can see screenshots in this thread on the previous page.  Jill posted a video of Tim and Heidi kissing at their wedding and, of course, made sure to mention it was their first kiss ever.  She also had a lengthy video diatribe posted.  I didn't watch and it seems like those who did bailed before it was over.  I expect she may well have been discussing the Gospel according to Jill:  couples may not kiss before marriage, let alone have TEH SEX.

Ellen, Heidi's mom commented by suggesting that it was nobody's business but the couple themselves and that it is ok if other people don't do things the same way.

Jill posted a photo of Timothy and Heidi exchanging vows, with words over it. "We are so thankful that Timothy and Heidi chose purity in their relationship. (new line) It brings God great glory!"

Thanks @Notabug.  Jill really thinks she runs the show.  Does she even know that she can post a picture without comments??  She really thinks she is the center of the universe and the leader of morals.

That's probably what made the Coveretts stand up for Heidi and help her and Tim stand up to Jill. Jill runs Jonathan and Kaylee's marriage and takes all of their money. They knew she'd do the same thing to Tim and Heidi. They weren't going to let that happen.

I am loving the backtalk about the first kiss. I’m guessing that Ellen, or grandma or one of their kids kissed before marriage, and don’t give a crap about that NON commandment, as they called it. Seriously is there some God up there judging kisses before marriage? Or. even holding hands before engagement? I think there are enough problems in the world, that there isn’t this Almighty entity, watching young people kiss and hold hands. And even if they did have sex, why would some God care when there are a million other people suffering a million other things?

I believe anyone can like comments. It's not just limited to friends only. I think Reddit trolls found it and pounded the like buttons on a few of those posts.

I would not be surprised if the Coveretts found that new job for Tim, and an affordable house near them, just to make sure Tim and Heidi were not so close to Jill that she could interfere on a daily basis.   They realized that Jill would be at T & H's every day with her "advice" and "decorating tips.."   Or expect T & H at the barndo every day at all hours just Kaylee and Jonathan are.   So they decided to make sure that wasn't possible by having T & H move too far away.    Now they only have to put up with the Rods descending for free food and lodging every 3 months instead of every day.   Eastern PA is now on the grift tour.
