I tend to drift off during the Oscars and just see who wins in the morning. Katherine McPhee looked fabulous, I never would have recognized her. Not fond of the red lips though. Also Dax Shepard? Not sure if I'm a fan.. I love his wit and adore he and Kristin together. Great couple. I have not seen how he is dressed if that is what you are talking about, I am a bit behind. Link to comment

I'm not too familiar with him although I've always liked what I've seen him in. Wings January 8, 2015 Share January 8, 2015 I am watching it now. I made it to 10pm then watched Top Chef. The winners are told ahead of time or they would not show up so this lack of enthusiasm translates to viewer interest. Golden Globes on Sunday! My favorite award show. I love the shots of them sitting at tables and it feels more relaxed though extremely important for those who stand to win. 1 Link to comment
absnow54 January 8, 2015 Share January 8, 2015 The winners are told ahead of time or they would not show up so this lack of enthusiasm translates to viewer interest. My favorite is when they start off their speech with, "I didn't think I would win, so I didn't write a speech!" The opening bit with Anna and Chris was cute, but I turned it off pretty quickly after that. This award show is generally completely out of touch (Why are "the People" still giving Adam Sandler awards to show up in an ill fitting suit and mumble through a speech that proves how little he cares?), one big plug for shitty CBS shows, or a chance to see which irrelevant CW/tween star has a scary vapid fan base. 3 Link to comment
Wings January 8, 2015 Share January 8, 2015 The good part is the VERY short speeches. I really wish they would make rules in the other reward shows that encompass more than just a time limit. . NO listing of names for starters. The time runs out but they still frantically rush through 50 names. Come on Hollywood, do you really have to have your name mentioned? Link to comment

Well these are the only awards CBS shows win. If they are not Sheldon or a Good Wife. So let CBS have its award show....the CBS Tweens award! Link to comment
WendyCR72 January 8, 2015 Share January 8, 2015 The thing is, this is just the "tween" version of the now-defunct Soap Opera Digest Awards (sure, one genre versus many, but let me finish...) which also allowed ballot stuffing and multiple votes. In the end, it's a fun diversion and some free publicity. But meaningful in terms of award prestige, not really. 1 Link to comment

Milburn Stone January 7, 2016 Share January 7, 2016 (edited) That's because the winners already know they have won, so the losers largely stay home. Is this a secret? Not at all. I was saying so, in my own way. What is silly is the pretense that there is any "unknown" in what the envelope contains. And the show definitely does pretend that, with its charade of sealed envelopes being opened to "reveal" (as if for the first time) the winners. They obviously think they're fooling somebody. LennieBriscoe December 7, 2022 Share December 7, 2022 All 2022 winners (the "Acting" categories and nominees are split up ridiculously, IMO): https://www.eonline.com/news/1357016/peoples-choice-awards-2022-winners-the-complete-list Link to comment
WritinMan December 7, 2022 Share December 7, 2022 Hard to find a more useless awards ceremony than the People's Choice Awards. Possibly the MTV Movie Awards. 4 Link to comment
bmasters9 December 7, 2022 Share December 7, 2022 The bad: Bullet Train did not win a single award (not for the film in itself, or for Action Movie of this year, or for Male Movie Star [Brad Pitt]), or for Female or Action Movie Star [both that Joey King was nominated for]). Of course, it could have been worse-- they could have been snubbed entirely, and not even have been in the running, so there's that (and Joey King did say at one time when she was nominated for Hulu's The Act that simply being nominated was a win [hopefully those feelings have not changed]).
