The men tell all:

I loved every minute of this show, but I teared up so much it was getting ridiculous. The love the men have for one another is just wonderful to see. I can see why Joan missed them, heck, I missed them.
Mark is such a lovely lovely man, Charles does have a pure heart, I prefer him with a little  grey in his hair, the really  dark dye job doesn't  suit him, jmho.
Obviously Joan made a good impression  on them all, she helped  them to open their hearts. Then there's  Jonathan,  I read somewhere  people  thought he was a player, I never  thought  that, he's  gorgeous,  and I'm so happy  he's met someone.
When their children  were watching  and crying,  I'd start up again, goodness.
Pascal is a rascal, he led the meditation,  and didn't  know a thing about it, he looked  very handsome  tonight, as did his son.
I love the dress Joan is wearing  in the finale, it's beautiful,  I loved the dress she wore tonight as well.

I felt like one of those idiots in the studio audience who tears up and gets overly excited about things (because they're told to react), but I was genuinely moved by this episode. The relationships among the guys, but especially having their kids there in the audience was so sweet.

I actually completely forgot that Joan would even be there, I enjoyed it so much with them just talking and reminiscing. I think Jesse truly enjoyed this season as well, he's had a really sweet gig over the last year or so, bro-ing out with Joey on his season and now with all these fun guys. His smile was huge the whole time and nothing seemed forced.

It was definitely odd that the #4 finalist got no screentime whatsoever. I think that shows that while Jordan did not connect with Joan, he also didn’t connect with the men. This was a little odd with there being no drama/fighting in a Men/Women tell all, it was pretty nice just seeing a bunch of people who all seemed to genuinely connect with and care about each other.

I think Jordan connected with the men fine, he was almost always in the mix when people were having emotional scenes and I saw him getting teary-eyed a few times in this episode. I suspect that he had some moments that just didn't make the final edit, he's more low-key than some of the others.

Chock is the only one who noticeably didn't vibe with the group and since he wasn't there, there were no sour notes in the group camaraderie.

We definitely need a Golden Bachelor of Paradise, and STAT!!

Still swooning over Keith, he is SO my type and we'd be so happy together.

One of my favorite little moments was when they asked Keith's daughters to talk and he immediately stood up so he could see them. He had the biggest grin on his face listening to them talk, it was very sweet.

I truly don't care who she picks at the end of this, but they really captured lightning in a bottle with this season. The theme of men's loneliness and need for friendship and an outlet for their feelings was so much more interesting than Joan's search for love.

But I did also love the ending where Joan talked to the guys, it was so refreshing to see no hard feelings from anyone.

Absolutely! I never expected this after the fiasco of The Golden Bachelor.

I loved the clip played when Charles was admiring the house on their first night, then he was guiding the men to the room "there's wine, drinks, food..." , then Dan says, 'you're a great host, I love your house!"  Hilarious!

Am I seeing things?  Joan in a dress with a slit down to her naval?  I just can’t warm up to her, but the guys are loving it.  Eh!   Anyhow, this show is a hit.  I loved all the guys.

The dress did her zero favors. The sun damage alone was distressing, she has a great figure and can pull off a lot of looks and look stunning, is this really the best they could do? This just seemed a cheap shot at the lowest level definition of “sexy”. C’mon wardrobe department, do better.

So forgive me for my cynicism but, with regard to the guys in the cast who are actually wealthy, have not recently filed for bankruptcy, have no TROs, are not addicts, and are not registered sex offenders, why are they not availing themselves to the thirty-something trophy wives? I am kind of assuming that Pascal does, off-camera. I just tend to think most men are tired at this age. It’s easier to date a younger woman who is not grieving.

This "Golden" series won't last long at this rate. It was promised to be something special and it doesn't quite feel that way.

Yeah I liked Pascal on the show, but he can fuck off with those demands. The show is for GOLDEN AGE people trying to find love, not one old man trying to live out a Playboy fantasy with a bunch of women half his age. Ugh.

Agreed! Someone up post came up with a “Men of the Mansion” concept, that’s something that has legs, put all these guys in a house and send them on adventures. I think the Men Tell All episode proved how watchable these guys are with no woman needed! C’mon ABC think outside the box.

I would also say the women were fun and I would watch them no Gerry or whoever needed.

But he is right about one thing though and it could help the success rate for the main shows.

That article was a bit strange, it says he'd ask for younger women and he gives an example of "I wouldn't be dating a 72-year-old woman" and then goes into theme of how the younger franchise makes more sense because 20-somethings can easily move due to lack of constraints. Are they really saying he's asking for 20-somethings? Even for Pascal, that seems extreme.

At the very least, it would certainly piss off his kids. 20-something woman marries a 70+ man means she's getting the money when he goes.

Whoever they pick as the lead, it's definitely not going to be the same since the appeal of this season was all the guys together and how organically they bonded in their experience.

As we learned from the repeated exposure to the Susan/Kathy/whoever group from Gerry's season, the shine wore off with each reappearance and when they were clamoring for camera time.

I thought Dan was an underrated gem (please no one pipe up with restraining order or legal troubles about him, lol). He seemed very sweet and funny and his career was listed as "private investor" which suggests some level of wealth.

Also, his exit interview broke my heart the most, his teary-eyed "I live alone and living with a bunch of brothers was just a great experience," that made me so sad.

The men tell all was a delight!  The choir singing the mansion men song…exquisite.  The care shown by these men for each other was so heartwarming.  What a feel-good episode.

Jesse was a wonderful choice as host.

Wrong network,  but they need a season of Real World, Golden Edition.

Today, everything is about the boobs.  That’s all you see.  In my day, we had beautiful dresses when going out on the town.  They were always “boat neck” style.  Proper and elegant.  IMO, I think Joan is a little too old for those get-ups she wears.  But, the men just go Gaga over her outfits.  Guess they love the sexy look, even at that age.  Still think she’s 71, lol.

He could. Working in emergency medicine, he works for a hospital or an urgent care. He doesn’t have an established practice that would be harder to leave. He just has to get a medical license in Maryland. I’m not sure what the reciprocity is between Maryland and DC.

Joan has to have her way.  What about the guys?  They have children too.  Why should they uproot their lives?  The show has to change the living situations.

I'm not seeing that much of a difference. She looks younger there and like she maybe had a little bit more weight on her, but age comes to us all. I agree that she's definitely had work done, but I'm not seeing an unrecognizable version of her there.

Yes, it does look like her but this version of her looks softer and more natural.

How long ago was this? Why the heck did she feel the need to have plastic surgery? She was so pretty.

Yeah...she went from pretty and looking kind--to surgically beautiful and a bit harsh.  I wouldn't have considered "harsh" if I hadn't seen the BEFORE photo.

I have a good friend (an old dance partner from the 80s) who was an ER doc when I met him.  Eventually, he and a partner "bought" the ER department in a large Arizona city.  An ER doc MORE tied down than one guy in an "established practice."  It was a good move; he and his partner retired in their 50s.

And how GREAT there as no flak that it was a gay men's chorus. Simply talented singers; imagine that!

Perhaps JOAN was insisted on her sexy looks--and the wardrobe "women" were a bit tired of it. Professionals aren't usually happy with clients who "always know better."  NOW, "poor Joan" will be expected to  keep up that persona if she truly does marry_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _  _.

SO MUCH BETTER than some beachy "Paradise" where there's so much swapping of "everything."  I shouldn't even mention it; I've never watched a show. I've come across some spit-sharing when channel surfing.

Joan wants a lot.  She wants a guy with lots of money to wine, dine and go to beautiful places.  Gold digger!   Sorry, but that’s what it looks like.  Plus, she has to live near her kids.  Are the guys going to leave their kids?  Things seem one sided.   Besides being shocked that Pascal didn’t want her, I think she would have picked him.  He had a very lucrative business, liked the nightlife and a good time, but, he preferred younger.

How DARE Joan wear crappy extensions (or extensions at all) when visiting Pascal's salon.  That might have  been his first turn-off.

Maybe she’s losing her real hair, BUT I’ve never seen a woman her age with hair like that.  That definately turned Pascal off, lol.

I know women in this age range with the long hair, the extensions.  I have a friend whose own hair is so thin and brittle that she really needs them.  What she doesn't need is how long they are, almost comical.

With Joan, it's all too much:  Too much hair.  Too much bleach.  Too much Botox.  Too much revealing clothes.  Too much makeup.

What I am really getting from the Golden series is that, as great as having a chance at love at an older age is, what people really want is is a community and companionship among friends. In both seasons it seems like the actual dates are the least interesting part of the show (for us and for the contestants) compared to just watching everyone hang out and have fun. Its honestly super wholesome and it makes me want to watch a Golden Paradise where everyone just hangs out and has fun.

Disagree. You can't spoon and snuggle up to a community in bed. Friends are, of course, important but love is what most people are looking for.

I disagree back...a bit. "Most" might be looking/hoping for love (you seem to be describing "sex,") but in the long run many older adults realize companionship,  trust, and friendship are more important  Shok, huh?  Is that you, Chock?

Spoon and snuggle? Not sure that's the most important thing in the back half of life. There are many kinds of love and at this age (52) I don't know that I value one over the other. I have been married for 26 years and counting to a great guy, but as I have grown older, I cherish my friends as much (and sometimes more if he pisses me off 😉) as I do my spouse.  I realize everyone is different, but I think the guys on this show know it's a long shot (1 in 25 chance? Was there 25 of them?) and to leave the mansion with a bunch of new friends instead is probably the best-case scenario in the long run.

Luckily, I've still got mine...but wouldn't hair loss show on her crown or hairline...not midway (like between her ears) where extensions are usually clipped or sewn.  I bet most of us females would her much cuterin a short or long-ish bob.  Not "The Mansion Men."   (Maybe Pascal.)

I don’t know if Joan will pick someone.  She doesn’t want to move away from her kids.  Why should the men, either Chock or the Doctor uproot their lives too?  They have family, homes and maybe jobs.  She should have realized this before she came on the show.  Plus, she wants to travel, dine and whatever.  Whoever she chooses has to want the same things.  Lots of men prefer to relax and watch the boob tube.

I remarried (after divorce) when I was 52.  My husband and I were both 52.  I had friends, but I wanted to be part of a couple. It's just different. Some people are fine being alone and that's ok too.

Me too.  Married a very long time.   Sometimes friends come and go.
