The correct response was Cleveland/Wilson. (Not that I got it right!)

Week 25:  2/5 (Th, F)

YTD:  59/125, 9* (47%)

OY! What a maroon! I seemed to have taken the "answer" from the clue instead of the answer.

I'll change it immediately. Thanks for the correction.

Can't believe I didn't think to google this for my one FJ: Mondrian Cake!

1/5, no *.  No idea why Mondrian came into my brain, but I'll take it.  As long as I can have some of that cake!

Well, apparently I can have two slices! I'm not even going to try to fix it, I'm sure I'd just make it worse.

0/5 this week, but I’m blaming the fact that I had 3 root canals in one sitting and then complications. I can barely eat, but I’ll contribute some Jota which is soft and easy to eat. IMG_3178.thumb.jpeg.4e3f2ac7f29797e132172f93698da3a8.jpeg

Ouch...hope it's getting better now.

0/5 for me - too bad I burned everything Great Gatsby related from my brain; I did actually know that fact, and I knew I had heard it before, but alas, my hatred for Gatsby prevailed.

Expand

I hated Gatsby too, but after dismissing a couple of other choices, Zelda came to mind and viola!

2/5 with one * - Got bookends of Monday and Friday. Zelda immediately popped into my brain along with memories of reading quite a bit of Fitzgerald in my college years - I took a bunch of American lit courses.  Appleton and Hungary got me quickly to Houdini, but I hadn't known the Ferber connection.

I should have gotten the Presidents as a history/government major, but I honestly forgot Cleveland was a Democrat.  I did get Wilson who one of my professors always used to call Tommy W. I could picture Mondrian's art but couldn't come up with the name in time.  Not a clue on the geography question.

WEEK 24 (17 FEB): 3/5, no *.

WEEK 25 (24 FEB): 4/5, one *.

Busy weekend. Saturday I turned 40. Still grappling with this existential liminal threshold. It's so weird!

Happy Birthday!! Believe me, 60 is weirder - but it's all good. What you lose in some things you gain in others. At some point you relax into it. (mileage varies)

Week 26: 0/5

I can book a table for 10,
Let's make it a table for 20 (so it will still be an "0" number) and accept any who have ever zeroed out.
…but all I have at the moment is a few of these that came home with me from seeing my tiny grandkids:

The doughnutless doughnut people are welcome to join me at my table for cherries jubilee or bananas Foster or peach Melba or whatever this stuff is. It smells delicious and you can make a circle of it on a plate. Chocolate cupcake in the middle is optional.
