2/5 for me.  Woohoo - better than the last two weeks put together!  I'll treat everyone to a Ferris Wheel ride in New Mexico.

I'm starting to wonder if we need to start counting "A*'s".  If my search was accurate, Adriana has missed only 2 of 13 FJs, and one of them was a TS (Bryn Mawr on June 3).  For the record, I didn't get that one either.

It seems like it would be easy to keep track of, especially at this point.
Did Matt Amodio miss very many FJs? I don't think so?
(not counting the recent tournaments)

These biscottis would be easy to count — like one each per correct FJ.
I got the FJ of New Mexico because I could picture it on the paper road map I had on my first road trip to California from Illinois in the 70s.…
Nonnis-Almond-Chocolate-Biscotti-1-3-Ounce-24-Count_65c14a23-ba3b-4429-b228-0c56c59a99d3.8492c912040a685ed55ac70aaf246184.png?odnHeight=768&odnWidth=768&odnBg=FFFFFF

…During the 4 years I lived in Sacramento, I almost always had a Nonni's biscotti (or 2) dunked in my coffee in the morning before going to work for about 10 hours in the library of a college prep Catholic girls school.

I still have a page in my spreadsheet for season 38, and he had 4 FJ misses in 21 games (through his last game on Oct 11).  But he had games in the previous season as well, and that was before I started keeping track.

According to TheJeopardyFan!, his career stat on FJ is 40/58.

Can you tell I'm trying to put off some home maintenance I really need to get to?

Another positive spirit!

2/5 for me too.

Don't hate me, but I'd rather not include A*s in my spreadsheet - it's really not set up for that and as you might remember, I had a tough enough time last season when it came to the math.

Now, if any of ya'll would like to keep track, I'm up for that.☺️

Week 40: 5/5, no *

YTD: 85/200, twelve *

Goodness! Big surprise for me!

Otherwise, not a good week. I fell last Sunday and broke my scapula, right side! Why yes, I am right-handed, why do you ask? No surgery needed. Just time to heal.

1/5 (Lolita). Tues-Thurs answers were pure facepalms because they should have been easy gets, but apparently my brain was running a few beats slow this week.

I was going to bring a plate of inappropriate snacks to reflect my one get, but the photos were a little too NSFW. So instead, I'll play a CD of the creepy earworm that's been pestering me all week (Ringo Starr's "You're Sixteen") and take a shot of Humbert Humbert's favorite drink, pineapple juice and gin. Join me if you dare.

Ouch! Hope you heal quickly!

I will pass on the gin, thanks.

3/5 this week but nothing else mattered for me except Vintage Base Ball started again this past weekend at Greenfield Village.  I am one happy Grundoon!

Week 41 – June 17 – One Asterisk
201.     2 LAST NAMES, SAME FIRST LETTER - Born 344 years apart, they are the 2 real people mentioned by name in the titles of 1990s Best Picture Oscar winners (Shakespeare and Schindler)
202.     GEOGRAPHIC NAME'S ALMOST THE SAME - Legend says in 1876 a dragon built for the first "Ring" cycle had its neck sent to this Mideast capital, not the right German city (Beirut)
203.     BRANDS - In 1978 a new cologne for men came out called this, what's being played in the company's iconic logo (Polo)
204.     *AUTHORS' WIVES - When asked if she was the inspiration for the wife in a 1922 novel, this woman replied, "No. She was much fatter" (Nora Joyce)

      a.    SCIENCE (TIEBREAKER) - This phenomenon named for a 19th century man is apparent in moving light sources as well as moving sound sources (Doppler)

Bonus Tiebreaker this week! So maybe someone will have a 6! (not me, never me)

Big fat zero! There were a couple where I mighta kinda coulda got it if my mind had gone in the right direction, but for the rest, I still wouldn’t have gotten them if you’d given me an atlas and a set of encyclopedias.

But, hey, at least I got the tiebreaker!

Week 41: 2/5 (Monday & Wednesday), or 3/5 if the tiebreaker counts.  No *. Thursday I said Zelda Fitzgerald, and today I didn't know what they were asking for, so I was in good company.

Week 41: definite 2/5 (Polo & Doppler) and a potential third with the *, if and only if 'Mrs. Joyce' would be considered an acceptable answer. (Probably not.) Knew it was her, didn't know her first name.

3/5 + Doppler ...although I got Beirut through the chimney ;-)

I'm bringing ice cream because it's too damn hot to cook anything. As my friend says, "we all wanted summer and now it's a hundred and f*** degrees outside."

I did not ask for summer, thank you. It's 85° now at just after 10am; it was 83° when I first looked about twenty minutes ago, with an expected high of 95° and heat index of 103°. Pass the ice cream.

Week 41: 0/6

Back at work to lower the curve!

When it's hot I like either cherry tomatoes or pineapple tidbits with cottage cheese, but those who did not grow up with pineapple & cottage cheese might prefer to do something else with these pineapple slices in ZERO shapes:

Then you got 1.

Last names are generally acceptable - but I'm not sure about this one. After checking it out - he only had one wife, so I'm going to allow it.

Just to be clear, folks. The tiebreaker counts as an extra point this week - so if you got them all, you'd have 6/6.

If any of you left it off your post, let me know and I'll update your score.

Me, too!

I wasn't sure how to incorporate the tiebreaker in my scorecard formulas...

Week 41: 2/6

YTD: 102/206 (50%) with 8*

I'll have to remember to change it back when I set up for next season...I highlighted it in bright blue so at least that should remind me to look at why that is...

@Clanstarling, please note I just corrected my numbers to 0/6 not 1/6!

Sorry about that.
