saw the preview.

Wow. So Amanda FINALLY gave in?
Did the contractor for David and Sheila  just quote under 2 grand for the repairs? That's freaking cheap.  I know David only has a grocery store job and casino job but shit, he's getting off lucky than Brandan in TOW.
Cleo and Christian. Gurl. Just run.The guy is a total LOSER.

Good Lord.  Just tuned in after awhile.  Last I saw, Jasmine hated Gino.  Then I tuned in and Jasmine has a new face and loves Gino again.  Those lips of hers and the phony attitude is laughable.  She loves him my ass.  She loves the TLC Money.

Speaking of Gino and Jasmine... I was reading Carolyn Hax's column today (she's an advice columnist for the Washington Post) and came across this letter. My first thought: "Gino, are you 'Anonymous'?"

Razvan appears to be a decent guy, however, I am starting to see red flags.  He is moving too fast, and I don’t believe Amanda is the one for him.  Granted he is a good-looking guy, but he is starting to remind me of Syngin with the pipe dreams.

Statler appears to be a grifter. I agree with Dempsey that she should get her own place, while they continue to get to know each other.  Hopefully, she doesn’t let her move in with her.

I don't know what to make of Christian and Cleo.  It's almost as if they are gaslighting each other.

I wonder if his expenses are low enough in Romania that he doesn’t have to have a day job. An aspiring actor/singer/influencer in Louisiana is going to have to have one.

He likely doesn’t appreciate the size of the US and that where Amanda lives isn’t conducive to an acting career.

Amanda---holy hell, what a stone cold bitch. Watching her as she kept applying layer after layer of makeup (curious what others thought of the long camera shots lingering on her makeup bag) on her very plain basic girl face and being so cold just affirmed what many said. She had zero real feelings for Razvan. She just seems so stunted, it was like listening to, you know, like a teenage girl, like talk about the boy in class who like, TOTALLY thought he had a shot with her, but she had to tell him as if. I LOL'd when she mentioned how when she met Jason, he was just a manager at a restaurant, but he stepped it up to provide for her. OK, so you want a provider for you and the kids. Next breath, talking about how she takes care of herself and her kids, her bills are paid thank you very much, and she isn't about to bankroll Razvan's pipe dream (dont' fault her there). Ok, so which is it? Strong, independent mama or sugar baby? Girl, you are NOT that cute or special. I think she gets off on playing with his emotions and having a guy lust after her.

Edited to add: I think Razvan was just using her for a green card and thought this show would help launch his "career" in the US. His tears were faker than fake. So she definitely is dodging a bullet there, but she is no prize. "maybe we are both just broken." Honey, quit trying to make this into some epic romance that couldn't overcome the obstacles. He was a vacation fuck (finally). And how edited is this crap? They are rolling around in bed, supposedly the morning after the marathon sex session, he says let's get ready to go see the castly. And.....she is wearing the same hideous leggings at the castle as she did in bed.

Tyree that was just painful to watch. Am curious how much they paid "Carmella" to appear. And she looked a LOT larger in real life than in those pics....she showed up in a track suit? I was expecting the full escort glam look for a tv appearance. And girl is that blind that she needed glasses to see a huge guy sitting two feet away? I think he was dragging this out to play up his pitiful story to get a spot on single life. He was so tongue tied and awkward with her.....THAT is a reason you are single, not just your weight. But, he will blame his weight and how females are just so superficial as a reason and not own the fact that he is just socially stunted.

David and Sheila. That contractor jacked up the price as soon as he saw David and heard American. And still, considering all the work to be done, it isn't a lot. But I am guessing DAvid has spent most of all his savings on this trip and yeah, when you earn minimum wage, it takes those two jobs to just stay afloat and it takes time to build up savings. I am sure he could float it somehow, which is what he should have said to her. Does he not realize even if she gets a job, she will earn pennies a day. It did seem a little cold when Sheila made the comment about not wanting to die poor and now she had doubts he could be a provider. I get her point, but let's not pretend there are wealthy dudes lining up for her. There is no end to young beautiful women in her country who are lined up for the same thing....sad but true. I do hope they can work it out because I think she does care for David.

Cleo and Christian---holy hell, what was that mess? I sort of believe douchebag here. I can totally see him checking in with her to confirm what she told producers so that he didn't overshare. She kept saying he was denying they were intimate. I never heard that---he said there was intimacy. He just didnt' specify what type. I think she overreacted and WTF with bringing a friend. To me that sort of rings of when a person is fearful for their safety they bring a friend along. So I also see his perspective that it was hella awkward to have her friend sit there and listen to this discussion. Every other word out of Cleo's mouth is autism or autistic. Then again, I def saw red flags with the way Christian twisted the conversation into him being the victim and made her end up apologizing. What a mess.

Oh and lawd, how could I forget Statler?? Good for Dempsey for putting the brakes on moving in together. The whole thing is just so weird----hey, so yeah my lease is up and I don't plan to renew it since I figured I could move in with you. We love each other, what is the problem?

What Dempsey said is totally a reasonable approach to building their relationship. In no way does it mean that she isn't in love with her, or that she doesn't want to pursue something long term. But of course Statler twists it----I wonder, is Statler a hobosexual? How can anyone be so certain they are ready to pack up and move in with someone half way around the world after just SEVEN DAYS together.

I don't understand the attraction between these two.  And apparently, they don't either.  The fact that their relationship has its challenges and they have not discussed them is setting them up for failure.  All these things should have been discussed at length before he even got on the plane.

I don't think he is "gaslighting" Cleo, but I think this is a favorite buzz word for anyone not happy with the other person.  Then confronting Christian with her friend was kind of a shitty thing to do.  Glad he asked the friend to leave so he could talk to Cleo directly.  I think Cleo is gaslighting Christain!

I don't like Cleo because now Christain seems very sympatric instead of the grease ball I thought he was.  He needs to get on plane on go home.

I cannot look at Gino or Jasmin without picturing their golden shower from last week.  Ewwwwww!

If Jasmine thought Gino's family treated her oddly before, just wait until they see this season..

I was surprised that no one mentioned that Razhvan was planning to come to the US, at least at first, on a tourist visa. He won’t be allowed to work. I’m guessing Amanda doesn’t have the slightest idea about that, however.

oh, I totally agree. This is what Statler said in her interview though---that she just doesn't understand the hesitation to live together, I mean, they love each other, so what is the issue? LOL No concept of boundaries. Maybe THIS is why women run screaming from her. I am starting to think the British ex could tell she was nutters, agreed to live with her just to get her TF out of her house, on that plane home and THEN when she knew she was thousands of miles away she broke up with her. Not sure what would possess her to stay in touch though.

Many have mentioned Cleo's "odd" accent.  To me, she speaks like a hearing impaired person.  I can't explain it any better than that.  Also, Cleo's girlfriend could have at least NOT sat BETWEEN Cleo and Christian!  Sheesh!  Like some body guard!  Get your ass to the corner of the room and allow them to have a conversation without your input.  You're just there to be Cleo's support -- not her mouthpiece.

The real problem here is why Cleo couldn't sit down and talk to Christian about this like a human being and instead resorted immediately to labeling him a psychopathic gaslighting manipulator who is ashamed of her and trying to keep her a secret (an incredible leap when someone went on TV to meet you, has admitted to intimacy with you, etc.)

He asks what she told producer and she hurls abuse at him, annihilates him to the producers/friends/her Lyft driver, then goes home with her teammate to double-team him (because whichever side is louder is right, I guess?)  Amazing too, that Cleo has issues processing when more than one person is speaking when her boyfriend's talking to other people socially but prefers to fill the room for a lovers' quarrel.

The most likely explanation is either a) their "agreement" wasn't as clear-cut for Christian as it was for Cleo or b) that Christian was characteristically tipsy when they discussed it and he didn't fucking remember what he was allowed to say the next morning.  He never denies they were intimate but he didn't think they'd discussed how they were going to talk about it, and therefore didn't feel like he lied- but she gave him no opportunity to say his truth before launching into his demonization. He straight up says this is causing him great stress and that it was a small misunderstanding that could have been solved with simple communication (but she iced him out in favor of these dramatics.)

I also really didn't like the way Cleo's body language changed when her friend was in the room like a battered spouse (shoulders slumped forward, hands fidgeting, looking at the ground.)

Christian, go home.  She's perfectly content to villainize you without any due process, and you don't know what she'll say about you (or to whom) next time.

THIS 100%. Why does a grown ass woman need another adult in the room as she tries to work through what always seemed like a huge miscommunication? It reeked of "she is in danger" and as I said above, I can see why it made him defensive from the start. How old is Cleo? Is this her first relationship with a cis male? I mean, if her autism impacts her to the extent she can't have a civil conversation with another adult without a third party to supervise and support her, then how TF does she expect to ever have a relationship?

10 minutes ago, Drogo said:

I forgot about his drinking habit....I do think he is an alcoholic. Many alcoholics, especially "functional" alcoholics can be blackout drunk and not appear all that far gone. They hold coherent conversations, etc. It is only when you mention it to them the next day, before they get their drink on again and they say they don't remember that you realize, oh shit. They WERE shitfaced. Anyway, if he falls into that category, he very well could have been blackout drunk when they had sex and in the morning when he asked her what she said, he was actually trying to remember all that happened. Did he talk to them first? If so, he woke up, remembered that SOMETHING happened physically but not the details. Thinking Cleo, being the shy autistic flower she is, would be modest about it, kept it vague with the baseball analogies. Basically, I think he is a blackout alcoholic who isn't ready to own up to his addiction quite yet. If so, he would have been honest and just said "look i was actually blackout drunk, I dont' remember the sex, so I kept it vague. If you say it happened, it happened. I am an alcoholic and a lot of shit that I do, I honestly have no memory of it."

Note: I do not mean any disrespect or shade to people who are legit on the autism spectrum. I just don't buy that Cleo is one of them, for reasons mentioned on other threads. I think she has self diagnosed as autistic and uses it as a get out of jail free card for situations.

I hope David was as uncomfortable with Sheila demanding his salary as I was. I'm only sorry he gave in and gave her the figure per week, which the contractor doubled +100. Watch him get into the job and "run out of money" shortly thereafter. The D & S discussion should have started with her housing plans, how settled they each feel about the relationship, and if he could help and how much. With his help, she could get into an apartment, why put band-aids on that shack (also firetrap)? Does she work?? She needs to. Red flags all over, David, not the least of which is difficulty communicating. As for Gino and Fishface, they wore out their welcome ages ago.

Why don't the couples that outright hate each other call it a day? Like Riley and Violet, Cleo and whatsizface (yes, she was crying, but I think over a vanishing opportunity to move to U.S.), Gino and Plugs, Amanda and Razvan (getting there). Cleo could do much better than that shady little drunk. Yes, he is 2 years younger than her but he is immature, IMO. I wonder if they keep ski hats on because central heating is much spottier in UK, just read that 77,000 households in London don't have it.

Crapler needs intensive therapy (is she borderline?) and maybe to be locked up where she can't mess with other people. As she blathers on, I'm saying to the teevee, "Don't cave, Dempsey. Don't cave." I wouldn't have even suggested Crapler get a place up the road. I would finish the commitment out for the program and say "I'm not making any big decisions right now, but I'm not ready to live with you." Of course, Crapler would start with the "what don't you know about me?" "When will you be ready?" We did see the put-downs, e.g., implying "something is wrong with you if you love me but won't move in" and her ploy to create jealousy. Ugh, she sucks. Dempsey, get her out of your house; finish out the time in some city and hotel; and get your boss or your Dad there if she won't leave you alone. I bet this nut could go Fatal Attraction.

I'm tempted to watch The Last Resort but I can't stand any of those couples and thank God I don't have to live or work with them so I' m not inviting them in. And, TLC, some of us have to be up early for W-O-R-K in the morning, 2 hours until 11 p.m. ET, give me a F'in break.

I don't know, I think as adults considering marriage to one another it's not rude to want to know how much money the other person is bringing in.  Particularly if I'm from an area where work is hard to come by and pays next to nothing, and also my house is falling apart to the point that my mother just fell through the stairs to her death and we're on our way to meet the guy who can fix it for me.

Maybe a cultural difference in that in my culture it's rude to ask direct questions like that especially of someone you've just been with a few days. If we were engaged, different story, but I don't think they are? She could have first asked the contractor how much it would take to do the job and then asked her visiting love interest (who she hasn't been able to see much) whether he can help, let him think on it, and make an offer if he wants to. And if there is no work in that town, talk about another plan, perhaps help in relocating to a better place and getting some work training. I want to say they've been together for two years and he speaks openly about marrying her and bringing her (and her son) to the US.  Also, he must have offered to pay for the repairs since they were going to meet a contractor and he knows Sheila's family has no money.   He says prior to the price quote that he loves her and he's happy to help her despite not being a rich man.

I just.. $1700 to fix the entire house her mom just died in due to its poor condition?  $1700 is nothing.  $1700 is replacing sheet rock for one wall in the US.  There are apps he can use to get $1700 advanced to him in minutes.  Go home and sell some shit, David.  Call everyone you know.

I would just never be able to tell someone I loved to "be patient"/"get a job" when they need money to fix a problem that just took their parent's life and I know they don't have the opportunities we do here.  I liked David, but he's lost me on this one.

Well, you know, that's not my theory, or my experience with being blackout drunk (you don't remember ANYTHING - hence blackout), but it's feasible given what we know.  Honestly, I hate that that confrontation gave me some sympathy for Christian, because I really don't like him, but the awkwardness of the confrontation combined with the deliberate ambiguity of the act(s) itself made this a very uncomfortable scene to watch.  I blame Sharp.

Chris looks like he got some serious homophobia. When he was screaming. Be careful Cleo. But she don’t care cause she wants him and wants him to stay. When she was crying. She’s just co dependent on Chris maybe that’s the autism. He can just shit on her and she crawls back.

Stapler, unless you are very rich, you just can’t move to any country. You can probably stay in the UK for six months. You can see if you have British born parents or grandparents, you can look into a working holiday visa, see if you have skills a British employer can use to hire you.

Spend your two weeks seeing if you and Dempsey are viable and take steps from there. Dempsey is pretty smart to put on the brakes.

Tyray, why an ugly candle? At least you now know that it is over. Carmella should do some Internet wiping so she is not a victim of another cat fisher.

You're right in that $1,700 isn't a lot but I did say to Fiona that $1,700 was probably with the rich American boyfriend tax added and maybe they should have seen the guy without the cameras around & maybe even on her own, the price would probably have been a lot less.

I honestly thought I may have dozed off at the end of the episode, so I went back and rewatched that segment.

As I thought, the only makeup we saw Amanda apply was brow pencil.

At the end of the scene, I could tell she had used some powder, soft smudged eyeliner, and mascara. Maybe some concealer under her eyes, but when done correctly, it's very hard to detect.

So I'm not sure where you saw her "applying layer after layer of makeup" or if she had, how that, along with "being so cold... affirmed what others have said".

Also, travelling with a full makeup bag doesn't mean the individual is wearing all of it at once. Most women tailor their makeup the same way they tailor what they're wearing, taking into account where they're going, what they'll be doing, the weather, and where the activity falls on the sliding scale between "racing ATVs through mud puddles" on one end and "dinner with King Charles at Buckingham Palace" on the other.

I think Razvan was just using her for a green card and thought this show would help launch his "career" in the US. His tears were faker than fake.

I couldn't disagree more. Can you describe exactly how Razvan should have cried that would have convinced you his crying was genuine - and not "fake" - in your opinion?

When watching these types of programs, I remind myself not everyone reacts to situations the same way I think I would, and a reaction different than what I'd expect doesn't necessarily mean it's not genuine.

And how edited is this crap? They are rolling around in bed, supposedly the morning after the marathon sex session, he says let's get ready to go see the castly. And.....she is wearing the same hideous leggings at the castle as she did in bed.

When Amanda and Razvan's segment (the first in last night's episode) begins, Amanda has already gotten up and gotten dressed.

I don't care for bike shorts worn over leggings, but I asked my daughter, who's 27, and although she doesn't wear that combination of attire she said it's popular. I think we all should be grateful Amanda has such a lovely figure, though. Imagine the same look on someone 6" shorter weighing two or three times what Amanda weighs. Now that would be hideous and yes, I have confirmation that style is worn by all shapes and sizes.

Next Amanda enters the bedroom to see if Razvan is awake. He is, so she lies down next to him (on the top sheet - he's under the top sheet) and they have a quick cuddle. Then Amanda pulls away from him, lying on her side facing him, while they chat for a few minutes.

Razvan then pulls her towards him so he can give her a kiss, and they both get off the bed (Razvan so he can get dressed).

There wasn't any "rolling around in bed". Amanda remained on the sheet and Razvan stayed under it the entire scene.

Maybe there are people who would change their clothes if they happened to have a short cuddle, kiss, and chat with their SO on top of the sheet after they got dressed for the day, but I wouldn't.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
