I agree that America is great, but I don't see this particularly mattering unless any of them actually wins an HoH. It's not even that Cirie and her group are GOOD at this, and more that they just have the numbers, so it will be very tough. Heck, if/when Cam and/or Red take themselves off of the block, America could very well be up and out of the house.

missed this mess. Can someone whose mental health won't suffer for it please give me a quickie recap?

My mental health is nonexistent, so I’ll take the bullet.

Jared and Blue were cuddling on the sofa behind the billiards table. Jared and Blue ducked under the blanket. Jared was seen wiping a stain off the sofa. (Hey, at least he’s tidy.) Hazmat teams may or may not have been called. Since then, many people have been sitting on that sofa. Including Cirie. I guess you reap what you sow.

Jared used a dry paper towel on a wet, viscous stain on a cloth surface. The motion he used was more of a flat handed wipe instead of a scoop. So you can imagine what his cleaning method produced. And if you didn't, I bet you can go back and find the time stamp because Button Boy zoomed in on it like he was going to win the fucking Emmy for this hard hitting breaking news footage (does news win Emmys? Anyway).

This is the doom spiral thinking thing that keeps me up at night. Not the debt, not the cost of ground beef, not why my neighbour's garbage smells like that all the time - the fact that Cirie raised a man child that doesn't know how to clean up after himself and if he can't clean up, I imagine that his sheets can probably stand up on their own until Cirie gathers them for a wash ew gag me with a spoon but really, who's going to sleep with Jared except lots of women would sleep with Jared, that's the sad thing - and that's about the point that I give up and hunt down the last bag of sour cream and cheddar chips for a midnight snack because no one's sleeping once they go down that path.

They come back, and lightbulbs are blinking all over Jag’s head.

Earlier, Jag and Blue - well, more Blue than Jag, which isn't really that surprising but they really do share maybe ten brain cells between the two of them - put together Cirie's whole everything (minus Jared being her son). Which would normally be exciting but it's Jag and Blue. That's like... a whole Clay when you add them together. It feels like that's where hope goes to die.

And somehow, 2 whole boxes of condoms from the storage room went missing around that time and were clearly insufficient in containing their mess.

Well, Jared winning HOH is terrible. Not because of who his targets are, but because he's going to think he's a comp beast when it sounds like he was up against Izzy in the knockout comp and she got the answer wrong. Part of me hopes that the only times he went head-to-head was about the other person getting the answer wrong, rather than Jared getting it right. Because my god, Jared's gonna be insufferable even longer when he brags out this one comp win when it might have just been thrown to him.

Hey Jag and Blue, welcome to Big Brother after four weeks! Finally, they're starting to use their right brain cells and figure things out. Now, do I think they'll do a single thing about it? Probably not, especially if they're going to spill things to Matt, who is a Cirie minion. But is it nice to see that this won't be a BB19 situation? Hell yes.

I am glad Cam is the target this week, though. Sounds like he got real creepy with America during lockdown and said something to Cory about being possessive. That man needs to go ASAP for America's sake.

Sorry for the length of this post, but this conversation is the reason I watch feeds. I love Panama so much.

See it’s stuff like this that gives me hope on Friday that someone is daring to play a non Cirie game and then disappointingly amounts to nothing way before Thursday. I’m not holding my breath this time. I have to give you credit though for taking the time and effort to post such long posts without the page infuriatingly reloading on you mid post. I don’t have the patience.

Apparently Cam told America that he can't control himself around her or won't be able to control himself when they get to the jury house. Which really is America's fault. Females, amirite? I'm pretty sure I saw her bra strap and her knee at one point - how is any red-blooded man supposed to be able to contain himself when a woman is displaying herself like a hussy right in front of him. It's amazing he's managed to hold himself back thus far.

It was probably a word jumble, where the word everyone was looking for was "Eldong."

That sounds like Spanish for something he could relate to.

I’m willing to generously give him credit if he can take out Cam. One less creep in the house and he’s been creepy since Reilly.

“Fuck Cory,” she says,

This is why I love America. I mean I think this is very Steve and Vanessa type alliance that has the unfortunate showmance piece so they are always trying to balance genuine affection and feelings with the need to eventually cut each other and if so when to do it. I thought it was interesting when Cory/Izzy had their two end game talks, they thought they'd lose to America. The one thing I give juries in the more recent era is that they want to feel like the person did the work, combined with hating women, nah. I think Izzy and Cory would both beat her, but I still think that freakin' Jared is the best to take to the end as long as you cut the Cirie out of the equation. I think Jared might lose to almost everyone he's even thinking of going to the end with: Cory, Cirie, Izzy, and even Blue. But Jag is also  a great drag to the end.

But y’all? My annoyance at Cirie being here went into full blown hate with her disingenuous bullshit over being chosen by America. Give me a fucking break, you know damn well you have a built in fan base. Have to laugh at her 12 minute time, though.

Seriously. I have lost more and more of my affection for Cirie with every appearance she makes on TV and with that I think I'm just pretty much fully done with her.

Now, if Cam can really go this week and then America can win HOH next week, this season might just turn around. I very much fear that America will end up evicted though because these people really hate women.

This is exactly why I hope it's a boring and predictable week. Cameron needs to go before jury, because if he can say things like this when on the feeds, what would he try to do in the jury house? I feel bad for America, who could get stuck with someone like Cam who claims he "gets possessive" and is happy for no cameras in the jury house, as if that'll change America's already uncomfortable feelings toward him.

My big fear about Jared going to the final 2 with anyone but Cirie:  will she have enough time in the jury house to do that mind fuck thing she does and convince everyone that Jared is a Comp Beast and Social Mastermind who deserves the win.

I can't imagine that they won't know she is his mom by then and so much of his game will be discounted (mostly rightfully though he was on the right side of the Blue debate). Especially if they hear he told Blue in week 3. I think people will be so so salty they were allowed to keep it a secret and be mad at him, mad at the producers, and the only one they won't be mad at is Cirie.

Had they known on day 1 I think they would view (and I think Cirie still would have them both where they are: in great shape) him as his own person more. But of course he will still be the Big D of this year UGH, so I hope that America/Cory/Jag and hopefully Meme just stick together.

Yeah; personally I was wondering if after the live broadcast was done, Matt planned on slipping out of the House and hitting up some clubs in New Jersey.

I don't know about this. I think finding out Jared is Cirie's son will actually benefit him rather than hurt his chances. None of them - absolutely none of them - has voiced any bitterness about Cirie being in the house or seemed to think she has a huge advantage or are resentful of her presence in any way. Quite the opposite, they are all drawn to her like moths to a flame because she's a big-time reality star and they are all reality star wannabes who want to bask in her light and glom onto her fame.

Finding out Jared is her son and kept it secret from (almost) all of them will probably impress them rather than piss them off, because he just benefits from his association with Cirie who they all seem to adore.

Cam is married...right?  He's a stay at home dad, so that implies either he's married or unemployed.  I wonder what his wife thinks about him horndogging on the hot women in the house.  Who was his HoH letter from?

At this rate, Cam is headed into creepy Christine territory.  Except creepier.

Well it looks like Jag has finally caught a clue in concert with Blue also catching a clue and they are planning to tighten up the group of Jag/Blue/America and maybe Corey, but Corey is determined to tell fuckin Izzy everything and he might as well be Matt with the way he helps his primary target out constantly. Stop assuming Izzy is self interested she is NOT. America needs to pitch the exact same fit to him that he did to her about Jag. That he can not trust Izzy so he either has to peel her off Cirie or STFU.

Oh, absolutely. I don’t expect this to go anywhere, but the entire process of watching Jag get a clue and America come into her own as a pretty damn good strategist was so much fun to watch, it actually gave me hope for a moment. Hope that will crash and burn any second now, because it’s this season.

Neither do I. If I’m going to do a post that’s longer than a couple of sentences, I type it out in the Notes app, then copy and paste it here. I learned early on in the season not to trust this site with my precious ramblings.

Well, you know—21YO debate champs, they're a special breed, and your description covers all of them. Lousy/inexperienced in bed too, but that's a different rant.

Just hoping HOHitis goes to Jared's head and draws a Hisam-size target on his back. Production can and will do all the rigging they want, but that didn't stop clown-shoeing or Paul-F2ing, so I try to live in cautious optimism.

He also swore up and down to Jag, who was feeling very mistrustful, that any conversation they had would stay between them. Jag said he was tired of all the whispering and would only trust/ play with someone who can keep a confidence. So once this gets back to Jag (and it will), Cory will be dead to him.

Not that it matters, probably. I expect Jag and Panama will be next week’s nominees, unless one of them wins HoH. Cory will probably follow the week after, and his nom will be deserved.

I was looking at the transcript at Joker's earlier and it led me to watch part of a convo between Jared and The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (@ 12:30 pm BBT.)  This was before the nominations.  Sri (preferred nickname) said that she'd had a conversation with Cameron and he was "so nice to her."  Jared then told Sri that Cam suggested that he put her on the block.

Cam told Sri that she was spending too much time with Cory and that she was going to give Cory the wrong idea and would hurt him.   I'm sure he had NO ulterior motive in trying to separate her from another rooster in the hen house.

There was also a convo between Cirie and Jared @ 10:29 am BBT.  Apparently Jared's HOH letter was from one of his brothers.  He told his mom that he had asked for a letter from Kenzie.  My guess is that is his girlfriend as opposed to the woman he's ejaculating with all over the house.  Cirie said maybe Mr. B was trying to "help him."  I don't know what she meant.  My thoughts are that Kenzie either didn't want to write a letter because he's a cheating cheater that cheats; did write a letter, but it was full of threats to castrate him when he leaves the house; or, Mr. B was just found a  way to reward Cirie instead since she can't win a comp and let her hear from one of her sons.  Probably one she wishes was in the house instead of Jared.

Of course this was also BB manipulation and those were all highly valid reasons and I’m guessing combo of 2 and 3.

Here’s the problem. Cirie has a Paul-like protective bubble around her. Jared, Felicia, Matt all think they are her ride or die. Izzy, Mecole, Red, Bowie love her and never want any harm to come to her person. Cory is a dumbass who thinks he’s playing brilliantly but all he’s doing is tanking his and America’s games. Cameron is most likely gone. So we’re left with Jag/Blue/America who have a clue but don’t know what to do with it, and even if they did know, have zero chances of doing anything successful with it.

Cirie is Paul but isn’t a complete dick so once she’s in the final the jury will fall all over themselves voting for her.

Three decades later, maybe it’s not so much a rant as a weary litany. Like Sinéad said, how could we possibly know what we want when we're only 21? Especially when the age range was more like 18-22.

Spoiler

1) Twenty minutes of hype, four minutes of Yeah Whatever. Got gone and refused to look me in the eye the rest of the quarter. Luckily, it was only a gen-ed class.

2) More of a cuddler, due to being a dribbler. Spine only evident when he was behind the podium. Probably still has his high school trophies on the mantel; just a guess.

3) So-so. Confused being pedantic and argumentative with being smart. The best-looking one but exhausting.

4) Decent but of a different political persuasion, so it was doomed from the start. Never escaped the closet, from what I understand.

Topic: I'm guessing Cory's either a 1 or a 3, but since he's straight, I'll never know.

I just remembered that Cory confided a big secret to Guam: that his brother was a Survivor contestant. Maybe he thought this would help him bond with Cirie, but as far as I know he hasn’t told her. Also, his brother was the first evicted, so I guess good gameplay runs in the family.

I also read that Jared was supposed to be on Survivor, but backed out— nerves or illness, the stories vary. His season is rumored to be David vs. Goliath, but I have no confirmation.

I’ve also seen a clip of Jared visiting Cirie on Survivor, as her designated Loved One. I wonder if Superfan Cory saw this, and if so, shouldn’t his extra large brain remember it?

Cameron is campaigning hard to Jared to take him off the block and put up Izzy instead. He’d be a hero! A legend! Everyone is so tired of her! They’d vote for her unanimously! Did I mention he would be a hero? A legend!

And then a few minutes later, Cameron suggests that Jared tell anyone who wins the veto that he’d be putting up America, because they would all go for that. Then put up Izzy instead! Be a legend!

So if everyone wants Izzy out so bad, why would Jared need the ruse of putting up America? Cameron is spiraling bad, with the twitchy energy of a detoxing coke addict.

In the yard, everyone is talking about their feelings— how lonely the house can be, how bad you feel for people when you vote them out. Jag is just glad to be spared one more week. His sisters wedding was today, and if he got voted out just in time to miss it, that would have been crushing. He feels he was spared for a reason. All the people who voted him out smile and nod.

in the HoH room, Izzy complains to Jared about Cirie. She’s always picking on her! And earlier, Cirie had the nerve to tell her she feels bad about voting people out, that she’s a big softy, etc., like Izzy doesn’t have any feelings at all! (Honestly, I’m not sure what Izzy is mad at. She’s not making a lot of sense.) She’s also upset because she hasn’t gotten a letter from Paige.

Jared understands that Cirie can be a little overbearing. like, sometimes she catches him watching some wild videos and asks him why he’s watching that. Is he crazy? Doesn’t he feel bad for those people? It’s not that Jared’s insensitive, but he doesn’t have time to feel for people.

What the hell is Jared watching?

Well, just when a LITTLE game was showing through in Jag, he pretty much backtracks back to "America can't be trusted, Cirie's playing such an honest game, we should get America out".

Fantastic, thanks Jag and Blue for going back to sleep! Really appreciate it!

Seriously, though, I know that the destination is always leading to a Fields winning, and I know this cast is chaotic enough to make the journey fun, even when America is inevitably taken out either this week or next, but it's still frustrating to know that all roads still lead to Cirie or Jared winning. And honestly, I think Jared might be the winner, just with how this season has been going.

Also, Jag is still a target for Cirie, even as soon as this week (so thanks Matt for wasting your power if that's the case!), and he knows he got unanimously voted out, yet still wants to believe Cirie over America.

I wish this cast was more strategic, but they're really not.

And this is why I don't understand why Cirie told Matt to use the power. It makes zero sense. But Cirie isn't really playing well at all either so.

I knew this week would end in America evicted. Sigh. Maybe I can finally break this habit lol. I really can't watch another predetermined season.

You're thinking like an audience member rather than a contestant who wants to be invited back and do other reality shows so you have to applaud and be in awe of every dumb twist this show comes up with. So when you're sitting in the jury and you find out Jared is Cirie's son, you're not going to go "Oh those rat bastards rigged this whole damn thing from the start." (Not aloud, anyway.) You're going to be obliged to tell the nice cameraman and producer "Oh man, they got me! Good move, show, good move."
