Well he did put the Taylor Hate on blast in front of everyone in a veto speech. It moved Taylor to tears. that deserves some credit. Taylor, for her part, in the HOH this past Saturday Night, made a point of saying she told Terrance that she would stop any attempt to go after Turner because "he saved my ass."

He and Taylor also now have a very good relationship that seems genuine. They're often chatting and giggling together. And they're very different people.

Sure would be nice if the grandkids came by for a visit now and then. I have this bowl of old, sticky Werthers and no one to feed them to. I get more enjoyment out of that than watching Kyle finally getting to know what a woman's vagina feels like.

Sometimes the lint gets stuck to the candies in an interesting pattern. Kyle and his hormones don't understand this.

I agree about Terrance and Indy being wasted spots, but moreso than Jasmine?

Yes, because at least Jasmine is providing some opportunities for comedy bits here and there. Generated by her but also at her own expense. It’s fun laughing at how ridiculous she is. And Turner’s increasing looks to the camera a la The Office are becoming iconic.

Daniel and Terrence are having a bittercakes party of 2 at the moment.  It keeps getting thrown to Brittany and Jasmine, but essentially they're talking about how Michael and Monte are playing the game all wrong and that Terrence is going to have something to say about it when he gets to the jury house.  He will not be voting for anyone who's game he doesn't respect.  They both feel that Michael made a cowardly move in putting up Daniel/Kyle instead of trying to get out Monte.  While that may be true, I don't think Terrence realizes that if Michael kept the noms the same, there was a good chance Terrence would be out instead of Daniel.  Also, Terrence thinks the boot order will be Him (He's such a big target) then Jasmine and then Taylor (because they don't need her anymore.)

Terrence and Daniel have no clue what's going on in the game.

Alyssa seemed freaked out by at least two if not three (not sure if the virgin status came up) of those  just yesterday.

Wait until she finds out Kyle’s mom doesn’t like the relationship. Wait until Kyle finds out.  Of course the relationship won’t last that long.   Alyssa made a big mistake having a fling with someone who hasn’t flung before and who she is trapped in a house with for whoever knows how long.

I don't get Terrance's allegiance to Daniel, when Daniel and Nicole used to talk shit about him....when they weren't Taylor bashing.

For whatever reason Terrance was very attached to Nicole, and Daniel and Nicole were a package. He's made so few inroads in the house that he still clings to that connection.

Terrance also has a huge hate boner for Taylor, and he can't shit talk her to the Leftovers.

ETA: I will say that yesterday, the Classic Rock music channel played Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun so I am feeling a little elderly today NGL

It's SO jarring when that happens for the first time. For me, it was STP and I was in the car. I remember it like it was yesterday, which is shocking considering I'm obviously old if I'm listening to classic rock superstars STP.

Mine was when my SUPERVISOR admitted he didn't know how to tell time on an analog clock.

“Bittercakes”! I miss the TWOP days so much.

To stay on topic, I think of Turner as a Pigpen character.

My favorites have morphed so many times, but at this point:

Queen Taylor, Turner, Michael and Brittany. Anyone else winning would be a disappointment.

All you '90s rock kids. While I'm over here strapping on my old-school, non-inline skates to do a memorial loop for Olivia Newton-John at the rink. If I could just find the damn key.

I wonder if block paranoia will kick in and cause Kyle to unravel further this week. I won't get my hopes up that priorities will switch to getting him out over Daniel, but anything that demonstrates to the other six that he's now a liability would make me happy.

Shower thoughts: I found myself wondering, if I were in the house, who would I have considered showmance-worthy? Not many. Steven from Season 10, maybe. And even then I would've tried to save it for the jury house, but he was evicted second, so.

Is that based on his short time of BB or his post-BB career?

His paranoia kicked into high gear when he started to realize he might be nommed so yea I’m expecting him to unravel even more this week.

Well, Terrance is disappointing. At least, as it pertains to Taylor.

I still don't understand this thing with Taylor. She seems fine. Lovely, even. It's so weird and immature.

I mean, I found it unnerving at first she doesn't open her teeth when she talks, but other than that, yes, she's lovely.

Jasmine asks, "What else do people eat with burgers?"

"Pickles," I answer silently.

Daniel says, "Broccoli, mashed potatoes, cole slaw . . ."

Jasmine is ??????? on your burger?

No as sides, says Daniel.

Mashed potatoes? Can't say I've ever considered that as a burger side dish.

Im 45. Mine was when I was 36 and my 16 year old employee told me I was older than her mom. Oh, and the young guys (18. 19, 20) we're hiring at my current job who can't read write cursive since they were never taught it in school.

This reminds me of the time I walked up to a friend of mine and our 18 year old co-worker and she said (100% to tease me, not in a mean or tone deaf way) "We were just talking about how you're old enough to be Mike's mom, in a Lorelai Gilmore way." (I was something like 34 at the time.)

I just stopped in my tracks, looked right at her and said, in a really over the top dramatic way: "Why would you say something like that to me?"

We laughed, but at the same time, the wound hasn't fully healed. That's how you know it was a solid burn haha.

I love that Michael and Brittany are having a convo about past  players and how racist they were (Aryn was  mentioned) and Kyle is right there with them.  I wonder if he will get a clue????

Aaryn and Kyle are a different sort of racist. Aaryn is the aggressive, malicious type. She is the Karen in the grocery store telling you to go back to where you belong, etc.

Kyle is the more common type -- the clueless racist who isn't malicious and would be horrified by Aaryn's behavior, but has lived in a bubble and makes assumptions about people based on nothing in particular other than "they're not white."

In my experience there's not much you can do about the Aaryn types -- they're malicious and rarely change except on the surface. And even then, not much.

The Kyle types are IMO changeable. This might be Kyle's first time ever interacting with people from such different backgrounds.

I think there's at least a 20% chance he gets himself booted by being a nutjob. Sadly, I think he might just spend the next few days fucking Alyssa, and thus he won't get the chance to freak out.

It's the old bit about how universities "indoctrinate" young adults, when in reality, it's just that universities are often the first time these young people interact with people from such different backgrounds and realize that their preconceived notions they grew up with in their isolated communities were wrong.

Me neither, but I guess you can't go wrong combining beef and potatoes (burger and fries, prime rib and baked, meatloaf and mashed, beef stew...). Although it does kind of sound like a Top Chef contestant trying to bullshit their way around a fuck-up: "Here we have a deconstructed cheeseburger with a tomato and arugula side salad, pickled cucumber salsa, and French fry puree."

Jasmine and Joseph are on the hammock. Jasmine's decided she and Joseph are going to be in The Amazing Race. She asks if he can swim, can he run, can he carry heavy stuff on his back, can he read a map - he answers yes to all these. She didn't ask if he could drive a stick shift.

Earlier they, along with Taylor and someone else, were talking about Survivor and the history of the immunity idol and how there's too many now. And there's too many twists.

Now Jasmine is saying Joe and Taylor should do The Amazing Race together. Joe said she suggested it.

I completely agree with this.  I was just wondering if he would maybe realize what he is doing could be perceived as racist.

Does Jasmine understand that she would have to do all these things as well.  Not only that

but she would have to do half the roadblocks and participate in the detours.  She wouldn't last a day.

Jasmine is delusional. She probably thinks she’ll be Cleopatra carried across TAR world on a litter. She’ll stub her toe on the starting line and will milk that shit for the rest of episode 1 coz no way would she make it even in 2nd last place. I pity her imaginary partner in this imaginary venture. Girl is full of shit.

I wouldn’t mind seeing her on The Challenge USA so TJ can laugh at her.

I like Turner, but his hygiene grosses me out. Plus he left his used band aids in the communal shower.

The whole bit is funny IMO, but at about 2 min 50 seconds is where used band aids come up.  I like Turner quite a bit now, but I would not want to live with him, or his shower band aids!
