I don’t see any mention of mental health therapy, which Tammy so desperately needs 🙁. Anybody else remember that show about Brookhaven?  They were supposed to be helping with weight loss there too, but in reality they couldn’t prevent people from ordering food in, and of course they did.  It was basically a nursing home for the super obese. This place gave me the same vibe. 

Tammy is more unlikable than ever, I could not deal with her. When someone gives you a present, the correct response is THANK YOU!  What an ungrateful piece of work. When she passes, who will truly mourn her without a sense of relief?  Sad waste of a life. 
 

It would have to be a bit like Brookhaven as the counselor/nurse/administrator - whatever she was, said that Tammy only cheated a few times.  Now if she was on a strict controlled diet she would not have been able to do this.

Tammy needs a big dose of reality, she is so toxic to everyone in her life.  The whole family needs to just say, you are on your own till you learn to respect yourself and the people around you.

I think they've reached that point. Amy's demeanor when discussing Tammy is now considerably colder than it has ever been. Last year when she'd say that once the baby was born her world was going to be about him it was tinged with a bit of regret/sadness for Tammy and what would become of her. Now it's just "I TOLD her, so she can't act surprised..." The brother is just matter of fact in most everything.  

I believe Tammy was in a nursing home for an extended period before the show, was she not? They do have experience living their lives without working around her all day long (though they may still have been very involved with visiting her, etc). But this most recent break, together with the birth of the baby and the brother's illness probably brought into stark relief that time is fleeting and they need to save themselves.  I think they're resigned to Tammy's fate, and have pretty much said as much, but the sadness has been overtaken by frustration and resignation and other than the show, they wouldn't be extending themselves as much as they are even now.  Hopefully the other sister will be an entertaining fit, because Amy and Chris can't carry the show alone and Tammy's continued participation will be... tenuous.

Again, Tammy has no boundaries in terms of bragging about her sex life. I mean, really, does anyone really want to picture this? This has been mentioned before but Tammy can order food delivery services from Instacart for groceries to Doordash/UberEats for restaurant meals.

Maybe she should just have the delivery drivers leave the food at the end of the driveway so Tammy has to walk a bit to get it. That would motivate her....if food is waiting THAT close, she'll get her big ass up or wheel herself down the driveway. She's hopeless. She has a big ego thinking she's some celebrity. 

I'm fed up with her but I will keep watching. Mostly for Amy, Michael and Gage. And the brother Chris

Amy is so independent compared to Tammy despite being legally blind. I wonder if she had someone to motivate her outside the family? I think in some of the previews Amy is getting fed up with her.

On that Too Large show last week two women admitted they can’t make it to the bathroom.  One has pee pads on the floor next to her bed and the other had one of those plastic toilets that are basically a bedpan.  You just know  Tammy does something like this but insists that it not be shown or mentioned.

All snarking aside, when I watched the show I thought 689 seemed low. Tammy looks over 700 easily. There was a woman on 600 pound life tonight who was smaller looking than Tammy but was high 600s. I don’t know why they would lie about it, it doesn’t make sense, except it as mentioned above, she’s turning into a 1000 pound sister by herself.

I've seen all the 600 pound people at least once---hangs head in shame---and I think there is such a variety in how people carry their weight that it is just really hard to tell.  Tammy barely can get more than a few steps without the wheelchair so I think she has much less muscle mass than the ones who still are ambulatory, even with a cane or walker.

I was just watching the rerun, and they showed this bonus scene of Tammy at the rehab sitting around a table with three other ladies and they’re all saying how wonderful Tammy is and she will be missed and they’re all like family. Now was this all fake? Or why was this “bonus scene” not shown in the first airing? Was it left out to make Tammy look worse ?

But she did say she has lots of loose skin so maybe that makes her look larger but doesn't weigh as much as fat.

It doesn't surprise me that Tammy is nice to her new friends and horrible to her family. The new friends likely wouldn't tolerate her bullshit. Abusive people know who they can push around and who they can't.

She did gain some weight back when she was pregnant with that gorgeous baby. You see her next to Tammy and she looks good. She also looks happy.

She looks much smaller than Chris too. I think Amy will lose weight when she's away from Tammy.

I think she said she was down to 260 and she had lost 40 since she had Gage; that would mean she was about 300 when she gave birth. So she gained about 20 lbs in pregnancy

We did see her eat more because she was "eating for two." It wasn't more salad. She still is overweight but not as dangerously so like Tammy.

I think Amy and Tammy are playing "good guy/bad guy" for ratings according to the script, and the public is just eating it up.  Amy is no saint (lying, grifting, shoplifting), and since she supplies Tammy with food, SHE'S THE ENABLER here.  I can't believe the Amy fan club; you'd think she was Mother Teresa.

Amy also did any number of reckless things that could have ended her pregnancy or damaged the baby, so I'm not calling her Mother of the Year, either.

Excellent point about Amy the Enabler. Although she's not as unlikable as Big T, I think Amy will be pregnant again before she loses more weight.

It makes me sick to see Chris and Michael try to push her fat sloppy ass while she grunts like a hog sitting in that wheelchair.  She'll get 100% bedbound and then it's off to the nursing home for the demanding manipulator. Then maybe Amy, Michael, Chris and his wife can enjoy their own kids for a change.

Thanks for the link. It was quite interesting to see all the available services. All of which would be wasted on ungrateful Tanny. Kudos to all the nurses who do this work. If I lived closer I’d volunteer to run a karaoke 🎤 show there. Fun and therapeutic. Have a great weekend ladies.

Yeah, she was telling her son that she used to be a 5X and is now an XL.  No, she’s still at least a 2X, imo.  Also, did you notice that horrible cough she has?  It sounds like it’s very deep and loud.  Does she smoke?

I agree about how caring for Tammy is daunting and may not be feasible for the family, HOWEVER, Tammy was in a facility before the sisters got the tv show. So, whoever signed on agreeing to her At Home Care Plan, needs to live up to it or make other arrangements. Everyone knew Tammy could not live on her own when she left that facility.  I presume she got into that duplex, so they could film the show.

On the very first show, Tammy was living with Amy and Michael after getting out of the nursing home. The rest of the family didn’t want the responsibility of taking care of her. Eventually the duplex next door opened up and they moved Tammy in there. A little better, but now we see it’s still too close.

Weren’t they going to need to have a ramp installed so Tammy could visit?  Maybe that is taking a while.  I have heard it’s very difficult to book construction or remodeling people because everyone is doing home improvement during the pandemic and there are lumber and other supply shortages.

Remember how angry Tammy was when their mom bought two plots for her (and one for the mom)? Tammy needs to treat her family better. 
 

I am glad to see Amy doing well. If she doesn’t become pregnant gain she can keep losing and being around 200 before Gage is 2. I def see the “good cop/bad cop” thing between Amy and Tammy but we do see Amy trying and making progress.  I can believe she is 260- she isn’t crazy tall and her panus flap makes her look bigger.
