While Katie and Courtney celebrate completing a charter down a stew, Malia takes her deck crew to task for a surprising regression and David struggles with his role on deck. Later that evening, the group's night out leaves some crew members frustrated with the Chef. Back on the boat, a medical emergency leaves the crew emotionally shaken and perilously short-handed.

I’ve had more than enough of Matt, I’m so glad it’s the last charter. I really hope the franchise doesn’t bring him or Lexi back again. Not my kind of entertainment.

Katie is clueless about the repercussions of her poor decision to send Delaney home. Deck crew has helped a lot (to their detriment) and she thinks her and Courtney pulled it off alone. Sandy is uninformed, as usual, too.

I hope Lloyd does not have cardiac issues. Looks like a simple panic attack, which mimics heart trouble and seems very scary when you’re going through it. Had a couple and they feel very real, like major cardiac issues. Simple EKG and a blood draw will tell the story when he gets to the ER. Better to be safe than sorry. Notice how Malia jumped on it this time after the bruise debacle?

Poor Lloyd, Malia was right…his next bosun probably won’t coddle him. Some are real pricks, trust me on this. I don’t think he’ll be happy on deck in the long haul. Matt need too much special care also. Loved how Katie is getting sick of his constant neediness and he has no idea! Someone upthread referred to Mat as “man baby” haha….love it.

I haven't seen this episode yet but I wanted to comment on the Lloyd situation because he has mentioned in previous episodes about having anxiety issues when fighting and loud angry voices (I believe is what he said).  I adore him, he is a beautiful person HOWEVER if that is what causes his anxiety he does NOT need to be on reality tv!  What the fudge was he thinking??  Again luv him but wow he is in over his head with this.  And yeah he's really, really lucky he has a supportive, caring deck crew and boss.  Any other bosun (Ashton, Joao UGH!), would have eaten him alive.  Just sayin'....

Mat probably shouldn’t keep talking about Lexi, especially about her standing in his dirt — though that is a shitty thing to do.

However, it was nauseating hearing others trying to sound sympathetic about her, especially Katie and Malia.  They must not believe there are bad people, just bad circumstances.

Except Lexi has burned bridges everywhere.  She didn’t keep a burn list because her dad had died or her mother was too strict — looks like she had no problems breaking out of the strict upbringing.

Maybe they will still take the high road when they do the reunion but it’s doubtful she feels any compassion for them.

Lloyd must had had bad jobs or work situations previously.  He seemed really worry about his next yachting job and whether he’d be in a supportive environment.  But enough to get panic attacks or whatever is causing him feeling sick?

Hmm looks like the women think they’re out of the leagues of the men.  Maybe they’re still the bad boy phase.

I was like damn, why bring up Lexi again. They were having a good time.  My dad died when I was younger than her. I grieved but I didn't become a physically/sexually assaulting rage machine, so I don't like people apologizing for her, especially deck crew (Malia). Courtney was definitely not feeling the apologies. Was anyone not attacked?

I don't think reality TV is his problem. He appeared to be panicked about finding his next job. In which case this isn't even specific to working as a deck hand on a yacht. He'd be having the same issue with just about any job! He needs some therapy, and I don't mean that as a criticism, just an honest observation.

Probably because the producers told them to. There's not enough drama anymore. They can't have Sandy scream at Malia every episode, as much as that might amuse me. Malia made a beeline to the bridge to report Lloyd's condition this time.

They seem to be telegraphing that Katie will live to regret not bringing back Delaney. The producer-prompted question to her seemed very targeted.

I like Mzi, but when he gets drunk... It was funny when he fell backwards into the bushes. I'm surprised after all of his falls that he hasn't really injured himself.

Courtney when sober: oh we're good friends, there's no chemistry. Courtney when drunk: legs wrapped around Mzi saying I'm so horny. Mixed messages there you think?

Lloyd, I was thinking after that night of drinking he was hung over and puking from that.  Then the stress of getting reprimanded and worrying about the next boat he's on, it all just got to him.

I was so disappointed in Katie not giving acknowledgment to the deck crew for all the help they provided her with during that charter.  Granted, excellent service is likely one of the biggest deciding factors on how much of a tip the guests will leave (that and meals), so they're all working for the sake of that joint tip, but this deck crew out of all the deck crews ever seem to be the most sincere about wanting to be helpful to the interior because they genuinely care about each other, instead of being out for each other's blood.

It would have behooved Katie to thank them all in front of Captain Asshat.  Without her having done that, I feel like she came across as ungrateful, even if she wasn't actually so.

Remember that Malia functions under a different (im)moral compass than the rest of us do.  As a bosun, she's extremely competent, but as a "human" she's still a piece of shit for how dirty she did Hannah, solely for the purpose of satisfying her entitlement issues of rooming with her no-longer boyfriend.  Of course she can empathize with that POS Lexi.

And is she talking out of both sides of her mouth about having had a difficult relationship with her mother, because I recall her being insanely excited to see her mother when she came to visit on one of her previous seasons?

I really thought I was going to lose my mind every single effing time that both Katie and Malia kept defending that POS.  I LMAO every time that Mat kept bringing up about her standing in his pile of dirt.  Of all of her utterly heinous offenses, the silliness of that particular offense rankling him so much tickled my funny bone to no end.

I highly doubt that anywhere else in the "real" world is there anyone who likes or would defend that nasty beyotch.  It wouldn't even surprise me if her own mother couldn't stand her, she's so damn awful.  Mat's insult to her of her being a terrible human still rings true, will probably always ring true, and likely has always been true.  She's seriously the WORST HUMAN EVER (and that's saying a lot in a world where Hitler, the 911 terrorists and numerous serial killers and murderers existed.  That's some special company that her reputation keeps.

I'm also pretty sure that burn list of hers existed prior to the death of her father, so there's no excuse for that or any of her subsequent awful behavior.

As others have so rightly put, and as I myself can also attest to after having lost my dad at the young age of 18, normal people don't use the deaths of their parents to justify sexual assault, battery, blind rage and verbal attacks on others, especially others who've done no wrong to them, and whose biggest crimes were to try to comfort and empathize with her sick, psycho ass.

Yes! I'm glad they got him help because he was clearly in distress, but... that's my BP if I miss a dose of beta blocker.

I've seen him drinking Red Bull. That plus alcohol is a big dangerous no. I did notice the BP too and was wondering about the dangerously high for that reading. It was good to get him checked out though.

I guess the engineers we never see get shares because those amounts translate to 11 shares.

How does anybody sleep with that party going on.

Zee falling in the bushes was hilarious.  Another one for the clip reel.

Spoiler

Lloyd is on WWHL so he's OK

His pulse rate was slightly elevated (normal is between 60 - 100) but coupled with the nausea and chest pain it was smart to send to to get checked.

Impressions:

As predicted, the big docking cliffhanger turned out to be a yawn.  “Crisis averted.”  Indeed.

OF *course* Courtney is made Second Stew – there’s on 2 of them left!

Polite and courteous guests!  How nice!  Don't think their luck will hold...

Malia – not exactly the best pep talk giver.  Inspire your people, don’t treat them like 2-year olds.

Looks like the new charter guests are the polar opposite to the last ones!  Will be interested to see how they are.

Had to laugh at Mat’s comments regarding his “perfect record” with the guests and no complaints.  He’s been the drama homecoming King this season!  Definitely the potential poster child for the saying “More trouble than it’s worth”.

Courtney in that out-on-the-town outfit!  Strewth!

What’s more dramatic than Lexi at the dinner table?  The ghost of Lexi at the dinner table!  And poor drunken Courtney doesn’t help.  At the end of the dinner everyone is miserable.  And how the heck are these people sober just a few hours later?  They’ve consumed enough alcohol to fuel the boat!

What was with the fake drama of Lloyd taking in the port bow line?  He was obviously hauling as fast as he could.  Oh, wait, there it is – building up for the cliffhanger of the week.  Several times, Malia has mentioned how something is “off” with Lloyd, but apart from criticizing him, she takes her time doing anything about it.  I do feel bad for him – hope he’s OK!  We've seen he has anxiety issues...

I feel like Malia was probably thinking about how people should throw herself some slack and forgiveness and get passed her prior issues maybe, just seems like she’s had a fair amount of airtime this season and she is very mindful to come off as very likeable. I even think her big todo about under reporting with Sandy was designed for her to show us how she is, ie not like how she reported Hannah

Just when a boat full of guests are coming on board to make their lives miserable, I think this will be the charter from hell, lots of people with all sorts of different preferences, drink orders, expectations, beach picnic, primary cabin unpacking, guest laundry...just wait for it, two stews will not be enough.

YMMV, but if I'm going to depend on a human being to be honest and caring and reasonable, I think the idea that HANNAH is the one that should be gone with over Malia is wacky.

On another front, the episode was so dull we turned it off before Lloyd's issues.  The discussions in the vans on the way to dinner sort of pointed out the casting problems here, chemistry-wise.

Wasn't it Jemele Hill on her bachelorette cruise on BD that Kate had the penis cake made for?  Now she's coming back with her husband and friends.

I caught a snippet of WWH and Lloyd looked great, got rid of the porn stasche and had a nice goatee going on

I don't think this needs to be a spoiler because it's already aired on regular t.v. (not on Peacock) so I'm just going to discuss it out in the open... ITA 100% Lloyd looks fantastic now!  The moustache always threw me for a loop a bit.  And it was WONDERFUL to see Kate from previous seasons on there as well!

I completely agree!  Courtney's inhibitions are released when she drinks.  She needs to accept responsibility that she's led Mzi on.

It was interesting to hear the girls discuss their lack of interest in the guys (romantically).  I think they all really like each other as friends, but the ladies are definitely not interested in getting together with any of the deck crew.

This season is so dull I haven’t finished the last two episodes. All that stress over Lexi and now she’s being defended? Kate was throwing up over the stress of it all but instead of having Delaney back she leaves the rest of the crew short staffed.
I hope we don’t see Malia again after this season.

I agree, and I seem to dislike Katie a little bit more each week. At least Courtney thanked them at dinner. Katie, Malia and wanker David trying to justify Lexi's scumbag behavior made me sick.

As nice and cool as the deck crew was this season I think they didn't really put in a SERIOUS effort to pursue the stews.  Take Mzi for example, he's a fun cool dude who likes to drink but that is the only thing Courtney sees that's all she's going to know him as.  It's difficult to take someone seriously as a romantic partner if they're falling in the bushes drunk.  David did put in a fairly decent effort but IDK he kinda came across as a school boy crush and not a serious love partner.

I wonder if they simply don't know how to really relate to women or the producers forced some sort of hookup with them and it came across half assed.

Wheww unpopular opinion I am sure...bring on a mature interior stew. I am in my 50's and I think I could work circles around Lexie and maybe prove to be indispensable to Katie.   Maybe one or two older peeps on deck with more career opportunities than those presented would be good too

also to add...Courtney looks so much better with her hair pulled back...no long bangs covering her face.

Oh, you very practical and intelligent person!  This is not actual yachting, it is reality tv.  I think this is the first season there were no hookups, which I think is one of the key goals the producers have in regards to casting. They also like to cast people who are inefficient or inept at their jobs, or just plain crazy- brings the drama.

If this were real yachting, I completely agree with your point.  I used to serve at high end catering events during summers (former teacher) and I worked my fanny off, despite being way older than most of the staff.

it would create drama if the older person worked better and faster than the younger ones!

I think in regard to hook-ups, the women are not attracted to less potential men.  Mzi, Lloyd and Dave seem to be very nice young men and in the future would possibly bring something more to the table besides deck crew career.  Not very sexy when the dating pool is kinda slim pickens.

I have to say, over the course of the season watching David stick up for people and generally be a stand up guy - he became pretty attractive to me at the end.  Of course, I'm also a sucker for an accent so he gets bonus points for that.
