I have empathy for her younger self but I am not excusing her scamming of Mike. And her poor choices of bringing another child into it with a criminal. Life is hard in loads of places and not everyone has the strength to keep that moral compass. Some never had it. 

Mike is so naive and really stunted. I hope this is a lesson for him but doesn't leave him bitter and he goes on to find love afterwards

Not necessarily, perhaps she hooked up with a local boy her age. I don’t think she mentioned much about the father other than the fact he was a one night stand. She ran with a rough crowd and did date drug dealers. A few of my peers got pregnant at 15 and ran with gang members who were only 16 or 17, it happens.

Yeah, I really should. I deleted my Reddit account from my phone last week. I am still logged in to be able to read comments from there on the computer, but have not been contributing anything to the discussions on there for about a week. Decided not to watch the preview yesterday and instead decided to watch it on the balcony this morning. Because 1) I was still stricken by Betty White's death on New Year's Eve 2021 when I was really hoping for her to make it to 100! I actually went to a donut place for breakfast yesterday morning, and when I returned to turn on the TV, I meant to change it to TLC but instead the minute I turned it on I saw an entertainment news station talking about how Betty White died, and I was immediately in disbelief, hoping this was a joke. When I picked up my phone 5 minutes later, I saw a notification from People that said the same thing. Then my grandma sent me a text, "We lost Betty White." I was just saddened for the rest of the day. And 2) That night, people were popping loud fireworks right outside of my window while I was attempting to watch the Episode 4 preview, and I ended up missing everything except for the sex scene with Caleb and Alina.
