Season 23 Live Feeds Discussion

Message added by statsgirl,

We understand that some hot button topics are coming up this season, such as with the Cookout. Reminder that it's ok to disagree but do NOT break our Be Civil rule. Keep your comments about the show, NOT about the people on this forum. If you can't disagree civilly and without talking about the posters, utilize the Ignore User function or scroll past their posts. And reminder that there is more to this season than the Cookout so if you feel like a conversation is going in circles, feel free to move on to something else. Going forward, unwillingness to adhere to these rules will result in warnings.

Fair enough! I might have caught a bad moment where he couldn't lift his leg to kick higher than knee level. I wasn't impressed but I also haven't watched any wrestling in, like, 20 years. Does he talk or did that BB17 nom ceremony - "Victims, aren't we all." *dramatic hat toss* - come back to haunt him?

I don't know why, I'm super into Austin-as-a-dinosaur's redemption story now. I mean, out of the whole of the Austwins, the twins weren't the ones I expected to go into porn.

For the record, I didn't learn until today that Luchasaurus (his wrestling name) had ever been on Big Brother. You taught me something as well!

He doesn't speak. He plays the role of a silent big man, which has been part of pro wrestling for years. I don't know much about his wrestling career before his current run in AEW, so maybe he's developed since you saw him in a smaller promotion. I'm not sure if his hat toss is why he doesn't speak, or if he just doesn't cut a good promo. But he and Jack Perry are one of the most popular tag teams in the world right now.

It's rare that my wrestling fandom gets to come up in "normal" conversation, so I was happy to throw some information in there.

Wait, did they go into porn? Never mind, I don't want to know.

To add to Sam's surreal personality, Tyler said the minute BB20 was over she ghosted everyone in the cast and has not been seen since.

He's complaining? My main memory of Sam is her explaining the term curb stomp in graphic terms, giving me a picture I've been unsuccessfully trying to erase from my memory banks ever since. Thanks Sam. Yikes, she was weird

Darn, I hope this isn't the last post of the season. 😬

And that super manic morning when she practically held Fessy hostage while offering to quit smoking if he would cut Haleigh. The Krafting Kloset. The jailhouse booze. The spider she kept as a pet. I'm still not sure Sam was real.

I regret that I did not know about you guys (or have feeds) back then. I have missed so much.

Looking forward to next season, I've been trying to create the only perfectly inclusive cast in BB history.  I hereby propose

4 blacks, 4 whites, 4 asians, and 4 latins.

And within each racial group

1 LGBTQ, 1 40 years or older, 1 each from the north south east and west, and 1 with a BA or higher (or at least one who's life's ambition is something other then social media influencer, or one who makes more money than the checker at Loblaws.)

Any estimates on how many house guests thru the years are college educated?  I would guess between 10 and 20%.

To the best of my knowledge, every season has been 50/50 male/female so there's no need to change that, but having more females than males would make for an interesting dynamic.  Better yet, an all female edition with the same breakdown as above.

I feel kind of sad it's all over. It sounds funny but I kind of miss the house guests because they're part of my day. Even the nasty ones, well, not Jack.

I'll miss you all, too, and being a fellow poster with you. I'm glad there's a Celebrity BB so we can all post together again!

Take care, stay healthy, happy holidays and see you in the new year!

Me too. And especially for those of us up here in the frozen north who are ready to end it all in a snowbank by February. 😁❄️❄️❄️

And now the fallout! Which I'm guessing will largely fall on Deref, the Kandy Muse of Big Brother, and Kyland, the...first of his kind, I'm not sure if there's a direct analogue of him on another show. The tortilla thing was a mold-breaker.

A winner I can live with, justice for Tiffany, a season that wasn't the liveliest ever but far from the scorching case of herpes that a good half of the Robyn Kass years were—it's a low bar, but that's really as much as I can ask for. I walk away not hating anyone in this cast, which is a less common thing than it should be.

As always, thanks to the feeds watchers! Ever the true heroes of summer.

That reminds me of another Dani moment: when she said she didn't think she could have a second child because she couldn't love anyone as much as she loved Tennessee. That's not really how maternal love works but whatever you say, Vegan Prisspot.

To be fair, that's an irrational fear that most parents have before #2 comes. We know logically that won't happen, but it's just hard to imagine that magic being replicated a second time. I think it's Mother Nature's way of...something or another.

I've heard several women worry they wouldn't love their first child as much as they love their pet!!! Of course, after the baby arrives, that worry flies right out the window, along with sleep and an orderly life. 😁

I have to admit my husband and I fretted about whether our cats would get enough attention when we were expecting our first. Needless to say, there was plenty of room in our hearts for both cats and both kids. (Phew! 😉)

Prior to the show Frenchie (super-duper-invested BB fan) had claimed in a tweet (to Grodner, I wanna say) that he named his baby daughter Robyn Kass. Screenshots and comments about it should be near the beginning of one of these threads, maybe this one. Everyone here was properly horrified and the news pretty much killed any pre-season goodwill towards him, lol. Turns out it was a lie. I don't remember if he specifically talked about it in the house or if he just mentioned his daughter's name and it WASN'T Robyn Kass.

Pretty much, only it was Robyn Kass that he tweeted. It turned out it was his wife's sister's kid or something that he basically identity stole (face stole?) and pretended that it was his daughter on BB Twitter for clout and a possible cast spot - some Nancy Drew did some Instagram digging during week two and found the original picture. Frenchie tweeted a few times about Baby Robyn Kass after the original tweet but I don't think there was much beyond that. I think it all occurred a year or two before Frenchie was even cast. No one really brought it up in exit interviews or anything that I could find because it's just... weird? And how do you ask someone if they faked a baby? And yet it's one of the most Big Brother things I've ever heard. He named a pretend baby after the casting director who got fired before he got cast on his season. You can't make that up.

Weeks 1 and 2 seem so long ago.

Oh, that's right! I hazily remember that now. Thanks so much!

They were long enough back that if you say “Frenchie” to me today, the first thing that pops into my mind is Bruno Kirby‘s character’s bad radio schtick on “Good Morning Vietnam”.

I’m bored.  How long until February?

21 more days. I'm looking forward to feed-watching again. Still working from home so I'll have feeds on all day on my personal PC.
