at the end of last night episode, during the preview for next week, one of the judges (I forgot his name ) said - "Don't ever let her dance hip hop ". whom was he referring to ?

Asking for a friend.... 😀

My heart goes out to Hannah.. more so now, in that her fate has been posted on this site.

Reading into more that what she said in the office, there is something deep going on besides dance..maybe a combination of events. More than just finals/projects from a tough school ( I peeked at her linkedin page), more than dancing alone with bugs in a basement, more than waiting for the phone call that vets could come/travel to the bubble, more than just not having the fire with her dance as she did last year....

She needs a hug.. someone close letting her know that all will be ok..

Honestly I think this year has just been a lot for everyone...just the things you listed are enough to weigh anyone down.  Even if you're someone who doesn't mask unless strictly required, ignores precautions, continues to fly here and there and everywhere (sooooo many current and former DCC,) life is still different.  (Plus civil unrest, super active hurricane season, wildfires, a tumultuous election year, etc. etc. etc.)  And if you're someone like Hannah who is studying mental health, super into the science, has family on the front lines and here you are in a fake bubble with half assed effort for a tv show...I can see it taking some shine off.

Moreso, it seems like Hannah was able to ignore the less savory parts of being a DCC in the past because the pros were still outweighing the cons.  I think this year the shine got taken way the hell off and she just didn't have it in her to fake it anymore.  She probably wasn't really ready to stop dancing, and Kelli went ahead and made that decision for her.  I don't love it for anyone involved, and Hannah is one of my favorites to watch.  I guess some of the shine is gone for me too!

I asked too & thought it was in reference to my girl, Kristen, cuz they showed her dancing, then the guy commenting & I freaked 🙄😆

Then, someone here replied, that maybe the guy was talking about ‘Maddie’ 😆

Added:

Someone did suggest Hannah or Meredith 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wonder if Lemonbus would know? Do you know who did a hip-hop routine that got such a negative response

I have said it 3 time before and I will say it again, I predict Tori will make the team next year.  She is killing it, she never makes mistakes and she always gets positive feedback.  She is even lighter blonde now and we know how Kelli likes blondes.  Tori, Elli and Claire are my favorites to watch dance.

Team tori for sure !!

My guess is Lily or Brennan...sadly.

She really did look so sad, I just wanted to give her a huge hug 😞 I admire her being so open about what she's going through. It's so shitty that she had legit worries about virus precautions and had such a toll taken on her by everything and was booted because of it...if anyone is suffering that much under all of this, it means they really care and are really trying to protect themselves and those around them. It means they're being close to a shut-in or giving up socializing for a while, as they should. It's so easy for those who are going on with life as if nothing's wrong. But the fact she seems to be making sacrifices because of this and realizes the gravity of it makes me respect her so much more. It's easy to say she shouldn't have shown up to TC, but being a DCC is a ton of work and a major accomplishment, something she loves, so it'd be really hard for her to give that up on top of everything else. They convinced her they were going to be safe, but it was bs. She wanted it to be a safe space and her light at the end of the tunnel, but it wasn't. And even if they booted her because she's having a hard time, not because of her speaking up about their hygiene theater, that's shitty, too. She clearly was going through something

well said!

Agree! When Hannah said "life perspective shift" --- you know she wasn't just talking about life in general.

This is just my opinion and my opinion alone after hearing what she told them in the office I for one myself and myself only would of  wrote them an email and told them I won’t be joining this season and moved on to better myself with what I’m struggling with !! And gain just my opinion

12 hours ago, Tuxcat said:

I see that. I am only guessing... She probably thought that she needed to be with her friends and doing something she loved in order to help cope with all that weight. To not join, could have been even more isolating and defeating. Yet going to training camp, weighed on her heavily. She was really caught with no easy solution. Either way, it didn't need to be aired.

was there an option for the vet DCCs to opt out this season - like some of the players  had that as a choice? Something like they would have to re-audition at the final round in 2021, maybe.

Interesting, and she got booted from show group this year, like Jalyn did last year? Or am i mixed up?

She either got booted or didn’t want to be considered for it since show group isn’t doing any shows

Im interested in what happened, maybe they will tell us next week. Also from the screenshot posted earlier i am seriously annoyed that lexie got 2 judges stickers for show group, and made show group, while hanna got 3 and didn't even make the team.

Lord someone put me out of my misery:

Hannah's stickers:  Melissa, Neil and SP???  Who is SP?  The gold sticker.

Lexi's stickers:  Kelli & Judy.  (I like Lexi, so this doesn't bug me one little bit.)

Kristen also got one of those gold stickers, and it's blurry on the screen grab, but I also think it's SP.  Marissa didn't get one of Judy's, which I thought was interesting.  And Rachel W didn't get the SP.

So after watching this episode, past episodes, and seeing Hannah’s office visit. I mean I guess this shouldn’t be an excuse but the rookies are all women who just graduated where they’re in that weird limbo of just graduated and not having a job yet and seem to have strong support systems that allow them to audition for DCC and give up 2 weeks for training camp (I’m only going based off Marissa’s reason for auditioning and Shannon’s reason). The veterans are already set their lives in Texas and have careers (that Kelli loves soooo much to promote), Hannah had finals and has a personal stress regarding her mom being a nurse during the pandemic also she’s dealing with her depression.

I myself am working from home and decided to take one class (calculus of all classes) that ended up being completely virtual, I was so stressed and taking tests virtually are worse than I thought. I can feel for Hannah and I get she had a choice to not participate but seeing it from my perspective I get it and based on some theories or inside information the veterans had to do extra work before getting to training camp. I’m just a little upset how Judy said Hannah had so much stress on herself like this was just some regular summer like you have plexiglass between Hannah and you, this is not a normal time.

now that would have been a good side story for the show to highlight in the last 2 episodes.

Just what did the vets do during shutdown ? Many kid-adults moved back home as they were laid off, to get out of $$ on rent (landlord permitting)  . Many moved back home to help out the the family (ie younger siblings/grandparents) . Not every corporate job kept the same work day/schedule - ie furlough. Suely someone had to work in a office that had to close/slow down due to being downstream (ie sales), or declared non-essential. Some of the school systems closed earlier than the normal end-of-year schedule, or they  taught  via zoom. Those who work in elective medical offices, were closed for a while. Dance/fitness studios were some taught or took classes, were closed. How did they maintain their DCC look with salons closed - any DIY tips they want to share? What home workout routines did they develop or follow ? Any DCC develop a side-hustle? Did charity work - as there are those in need of food and/or masks?

I mean out of 29 vets - surely someone has a story to tell..

Does Kat get the credit she deserves now? Her critics have been silenced, there's nothing to fault her on with her improved technique, she ticks all the boxes.

I'm not a Kat hater, but people are entitled to their opinions about her. They can think she sucks in some aspects, but she's good in other ways. Lol or if they just think she's not good at all, and should have been cut.

I am here, and I am giving Kat the credit she deserves! She is a star and has more charisma is her little pinky than most girls in their entire bodies. I do not have any qualms to put Kat in the point position, which would be, with the points we have had this past year, a breath of fresh air.

Kat started TC as the least prepared DCC in recent history and I for one, love that about her. She is not a judge or an astronaut, she is a cheerleaders for Pete's sake. She doesn't have to be a goody two-shoes. She only has to entertain us and shine bright like a diamond.

It only took a few days in TC for Kat to pick up the choreography and that is damn impressive. She got called out and that is what she needs to step up. That's a whole lot better than girls that prepare till the cows come home, and still can stand out.

I like Kat. I liked her last year. But I don't think she needs special credit after one moment of improvement on a TV show. That's because the show is so highly edited and out of order - that judges comments one way or another don't matter to me.  I don't think that any split second footage one way or the other should silence or inflate anyone though. I really wish we could all view entire game day performances - without all the shooooshing, slo mo, slapped together edits. But all that being said - Kat attracts the eye. She's a performer and that's what they want so I'm good with that.

Yes, I second this. So she lived up to her vet status in a training camp session, thats a good thing. But we did just see a link someone posted at an actual game with her making a bunch of mistakes. She’s a born showstopper for sure, doesn’t absolve her of having to put the work in to perfect her ability.

I don't know but based on the way this season has played out thus far on tv and on social ..... I have an inkling that this may be a slow rebrand and in a few seasons Judy will retire, Kash will take over for her. I just feel like they're priming her for that. We'll be stuck with Waco Kelly for a few more years after that (ugh) and then they'll bring in either a former DCC (hopefully Michelle Keys) and then Haley will assume Charlotte (or as I like to call her the crypt keeper)'s role.   It's so blatantly obvious they need new blood in the leadership roles and desperately.

I agree with all of this.  I know I'm about to get blasted, but maybe Hannah did not need to be on DCC this year.  Maybe she needed to collect herself.  There are more important things than dancing on a platform.  Perhaps the DCC did her a favor.  She needs the love of her DCC sisters, but performing right now (or back then) may not be the best thing.  I hope she is keeping in touch with whoever she was closest to on the squad and perhaps getting professional help as well.  She looked well in the few photos I've seen of her.  I'm sure she'll be fine.

I mean its not really a mystery since Hannah herself posted what happened.

"Collectively COVID-19 has made workers more aware of how expendable smaller entities are to their large systems. The decisions made prioritized reality TV over the health and well being of the organizations individuals, capitalizing on the dreams of 50 women in order to create content and ratings in the midst of a pandemic."

She challenged DCC to make better decisions and they did not. She went anyway because she didn't want to risk her sisterhood and support system. She was deeply morally conflicted about being there each day. It weighed on her.

And because she's a compassionate, empathetic future public health worker, she perhaps "cared too much?" And so DCC cut her. The storyline wants you to believe that she was depressed "for some reason."  Really what she needed was the organization that boldly proclaims to empower and support women, to understand and value her.  Instead she got exploited on a reality TV show.

I'd be depressed too for sure.

I follow her on ig and she seemed depressed before the bubble was even thought of

Clinically depressed or seriously concerned about the health of her mom and others? I mean it was a seriously bewildering time back then for sure. I fully admit - I have no idea. Maybe she was. Her intstagram post  seems to want us to "challenge the DCC narrative/spin."  But yes, many angles are always possible.

What happens once the team is announced and they perform at games? Is the rehearsal schedule the same / similar? Are Kelly and Judy there? Are they still giving feedback? I don't understand how someone, like Meredith, can go through a year honestly thinking that she has improved only to come back and have it be the opposite? Are Kelli and Judy not providing any critique during the season?

If there are only 8 episodes, then they need to get started crafting Brennan and Lily's storylines soon. They've already begun with showing us how they want to spin Hannah's and Meredith's exits, but they've made exactly zero mention of Brennan and Lily so far.

Also, Judy's response to Kelli at the end when Kelli asked her to help with the tough decision about cutting vets, says it all. Judy made an outraged noise and face, clearly indicating that she wasn't going to jump in and take on the shit work when Kelli never listens to her opinion anyway. I hope somebody makes a GIF of that moment.

Yeah, I was gonna say... how many episodes in are we and Brennan and Lily haven't been called out to provide lead up to their imminent cuts? The editing in this show is awful. You'd rather invest camera time in someone's conceited camera-hungry nature, talking themselves up as point, than telling a story to capture the overall landscape.

I said it when Kash was featured in the training camp demo video and in the preview for this upcoming week, Kash is looking huge...
