Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out

Re: all this stuff with Cody/Chrstine & Victoria/Derrick [could add in Brittany, seeing as how she was in the middle of a divorce during her time in the house];

They could name this season -  "Big Brother 16: If You Ain't Cheating, You Ain't Trying.  Right Spouses?".

I don't think Frankie was lying at all about Production "hinting" to him about keeping Donny. I believe the two most popular houseguests this year are Zach and Donny. Production has to be seriously sweating over losing them back to back, leaving.....these jack holes. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Frankie, Derrick and Caleb received lots of "helpful" "advice" from the DR this week.

Is Caleb buying what Derrick is selling to vote out Nicole? I don't think he is.

I don't think he is either. I think this might be one time where the mist might not be strong enough. Esp since Caleb is kind of suspicious of Frankie.

I just find it unendingly hilarious that Donny starts out the target more times than not, but as the week ages, a new target is decided on [by Derrick, and thus pretty much everyone else].

Hilarious in that a person has been on the block that many times, but could still make it to F6(+1).

I see Derrick & Victoria are the new Christine & Cody.....Victoria is stroking his leg in the bathroom.

I saw this. These people are unreal! It's like they enter a parallel universe when they walk into the BB house, where all normal behavior is checked at the door. I can see this kind of scandalous shit happening with a group of people when there aren't cameras everywhere, but THERE ARE CAMERAS EVERYWHERE!

That conversation between Christine and Victoria RE what a jerk Donny is made my blood boil.

Frankie has left a message on the dining room table: MY EVERYTHING. NT

What is this supposed to mean?  Frankies ego, got that, but it makes no sense.

I don't know why I know this but that's the title of his sister's album.  It was just released a few days ago.

The Derrick stuff is so much worse because he has a child!

But its ok.  Because screwing around with another woman - figuratively, for now - is gonna put food in his kid's mouth.

As long as food is put in the kid's mouth, that's all the mantra he needs to live by.  I can just see Derrick trying to rationalize it to his daughter years down the line; "Treating your mom like shit and threatening to destroy our family, by doing stuff with another woman I shouldn't have been doing?  Not proud of it, child, but I did it to win, to put food in your mouth.  Don't ever forget that."

I was listening to Shelly on Rob Has a Podcast and I am not a Shelly fan by any means. But she made a good point about how all of Derrick's lying can affect him as a cop. And I pretty much agree with her. If I was pulled over by Derrick on the side of the road I would not be able to take him seriously at all because of all the stuff I have seen him do on the live feeds. I don't think he should be fired from his job by any means, but I think its an interesting point how as much as Derrick rationalizes his behavior in the house he really has a lot to loose outside the house.

"But you abandoned me for three months--at a very formative stage in my life--instead of just staying here and, you know, actually working a regular job."

[Derrick to daughter]  -  "Don't you talk back to me, ya little jamoke.  I know what's best for you.  I did what was best for you - maybe more than once.   And I scored an extra piece of ass on the side, so its not all bad.   Why don't you go jog around the block a few times.  Seems like I did too good a job of putting food in your mouth."

This Christine vs Victoria rivalry over Derrick is hilarious. I really hope it gets worse for Nicole's sake if she survives this week. I am starting to think they might get rid of Christine before Nicole. If Nicole goes on a nice competition run. I can see a combination of Christine/Frankie/Victoria going out before Nicole.

Checking in at Jokers, it does seem like the tide is turning against Christine. Man, that is one eviction I can't wait to see.

The funny thing is they keep saying she has not won any competitions. Without looking at the stats I would be put her tied with Nicole behind Frankie & Donny for competition wins.

Cody + Nicole = morally safe (although Hayden would disagree somewhat)

Derrick + Victoria = not morally safe

Cody + Victoria = morally safe

Cody + Christine = not morally safe

*Cody + Brittany = morally safe

*Cody + Amber = morally safe

*Cody + Paola = morally safe

* - past possible showmances

So, of course, the not morally safe showmance couples are the ones that are actually "occurring".

WTF do they put in the water in that house!?   Cody had 6, SIX possible safe options to choose from, and he goes after after the 'should be' untouchable one.

I think Julie will steer clear of that one.  That is a personal issue between Christine and Tim and not for public humiliation.

Not if hubby thinks it will boost rating on his network.

That is a personal issue between Christina and Tim and not for public humiliation.

It became public issue the moment she decided to cuddle, stroke and what many people call cheating on national television.  It wasn't done in private so the public gets to comment, talk, speculate and make fun.

Seems to me that the one that should be untouchable is all over him. He's reciprocating, but I didn't see him starting it. If she acted like I think a married woman should, he'd probably be acting very different too.

I can tell you it will definitely affect my viewing of the show when Donny leaves.  Zach and Donny are my two favorites, and I just don't have a vested interest in the remaining houseguests.  The only outcome that will please me is if Nicole does win HOH next week and does put up Christine/Frankie, with either one of them leaving.  I still hope Donny is saved because I just enjoy him more than NIcole.

Interesting.  I didn't read the feeds or watch BBAD so missed that production said something to make Frankie consider keeping Donny.  Well, good.

Donny has little chance of winning a "before or after" comp and they all seem certain that this will be the one.  They must have been told.

I definitely didn't phrase it right, I had just woken up :). I could see her mentioning it because it's been addressed on the show but I think she'd do it in a way that would allow Christine to reiterate that it was part of her strategy. I could see her saying something like "you and Cody were very close. You mentioned that was part of your strategy but he voted you out. What happened?". Any mention of Christine and Cody is going to make Christine mad. Edited by ally862

Late to the party, but of course Cody won the veto and didn't use it. Now the next episode will be all about Cody hyping himself up and going on and on about the "big move" that he's about to make.

But honestly, I don't think I'll be watching anymore. Nicole and Donny are going next, and after that I might watch the evictions just to see the rest of them crying at the realization that they weren't going to split the prize five ways.

Towards the end of last season I was rooting for Gina Marie out of spite. I am now rooting for Caleb for the same reason. But really, who can he beat at the end? Christine?

LOL same. But I'm rooting for Victoria. That would be the ultimate terrible ending. Derrick would probably cry.

Some gems from an early morning Derrick/Victoria talk:

Victoria: Do you really think she [Christine] finds everything funny? That can't be normal.

Derrick: That's just typical girl stuff. They laugh at everything the guys say.

Victoria: No. It's not. I've never met a human like that, who laughs 24/7.

Aw, Derrick's subtle sexism striking again. Lovely. And LOL at Victoria calling Christine out and just being like "No" about Derrick.

Derrick: Christine probably talks crap about me too.

Victoria: She does.

Derrick: How do you know?

Victoria: You think you're special?

LOL at her dragging him right to his face. Victoria is my problematic fave this season. She brings me the only entertainment outside of Donny.

Which, speaking of Donny, he has upped his shade game exponentially. It's on another level. I love it!

Regarding Cody and Christine-the other night on BBAD Frankie was curled up around Cody in HOH and Cody was absentmindedly stroking Frankie's arm, just like he strokes whatever Christine has draped over him. I really think he just is a toucher and doesn't think about it. She seems more desperate and deliberate in her touching. And I can't really blame her. She's super unfortunate looking. She's probably desperate for a hot guy to choose her once in her life. It's too bad she doesn't appreciate her adorkable hubby who thinks she's gorgeous.

ETA: if her personality didn't suck balls I'd probably think she was adorably quirky and cute, but her personality exacerbates her ugly.

I honestly don't think she could beat anyone In the house. She hasn't been playing this game at all and has been living in a lala land. I don't think anyone would vote for her to win, regardless of who she is sitting next too.

Donny said to Nicole that when he leaves he's going to tell her who to target as he is going out the door. I wonder if he can say something to the effect of go after Derrick and Frankie...TRUST ME America would want that. Would that constitute telling and he would lose his TA money? He isn't telling her about TA just hinting at it.

Plus, Julie has no moral high ground to question Christine's behavior.  She became involved with Les Moonves when he was still married to his first wife.

Yeah, Derrick is basically in management now as a cop, a pencil pusher more than anything else.  He stopped working the beat a long time ago.

However, cops live and breathe by reputation, either good or bad.  I don't think he's done anything on the show to jeopardize that, but it matters whether you are working in the field or behind a desk.  (lowly opinion here of course)

I think you might be right, especially considering how physically affectionate his family seemed to be in his intro video.  I mean, I think he KNOWS he's touching all these people, but that he is used to a fair amount of non-sexual touching, and he likes touching people (not an unusual thing for a human), and so he goes with it.  There doesn't seem to be a lot of conscious thought about it, whereas when Christine is rubbing on him, it seems like a much more focused act.  Cody just seems to be a total toucher, without a lot of intent behind it.  Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Cody snuggled up to Julie during his exit interview.

ITA. I made the same observation about 2 weeks ago, in the BB After Dark topic, and I haven't seen anything in the past 12 days to change that impression.

One additional thing about Cody, though, I've come to suspect; he definitely prefers women who are already attached. Maybe it's a playah thing; get in, have your fun, and when you decide it's time to leave they won't kick up TOO much fuss because they have someone/something to lose. Or maybe it's a showing-up-the-other-guy thing; his "Sorry, Tim!" shout-outs while he's rolling around in the HoH bed with Tim's wife struck me as more than a little disingenuous. One thing that DID stand out to me, though, was Cody didn't give Nicole the time of day - until he heard she and Hayden had something going. The boy may hail from Hackensack, but he has more than a little Mississippi leg hound in him. :)

No way. If Vic somehow makes it to F2, the rest of the Jury is going to take one look at her and say the same single word, in unison: "Carried."

As long as he doesn't say the words "Team America", I'm fairly certain he's safe. Membership in Team America doesn't shut down your game play against the other TA(FY!) players - as Derrick and Frankie have repeatedly demonstrated. And Donny has plenty of ammo against both of them without playing that particular alliance card.

Interesting observation about Cody/Nicole. I remember in the first couple weeks people on twitter were convinced they were a showmance for some reason. I really only noticed his cuddling with Nicole her last night in the house.

I think at this point Nicole/Victoria are more dangerous than Christine/Nicole. Nicole and Victoria seem to like each other on a friend level they might not talk game, but I think Victoria would vote out Christine over Nicole because she likes Nicole and is jealous of Christine/Derrick.

Exactly. No way they would think she got to the end because or her superior secret game prowess. Several of the houseguests that have left along with Jury members have said she's prolly gonna be there awhile. Zach even said that last week.

OH yeah. Christine better watch her ass. Victoria has already said she'd cut a bitch if Christine somehow got Derrick out of the House (and away from Vic).

Now THIS was funny - from Joker's:

Tue 1:09 AM BBT Derr and Frank in FR-telling Frank convo w/ Nicole. Derr saying Frank getting to much resistant on Donny. They said at least we tried. Victoria interrupts. Derr puts her over his shoulder and said let's go woman. Now he's telling Vic convo w/ Nicole

Who thinks that DIDN'T make Victoria's week? :D

They can choose whether or not to tell other HGs about their OWN membership in TAFY. Under no circumstances, however, can they "out" OTHER Team America members. That would be grounds for forfeiture of whatever TAFY winnings they had earned.

I have to wonder if it isn't because attached women are safe.He can flirt and touch all he wants but knows they'll never expect follow-through. Seems like a perfect situation for a closeted guy, to me.  Or even someone who just wants to appear to be a player but isn't all that interested in committing to action.

I think the TAFY thing is they are allowed to out themselves if they wish, but they can't tell who the other members are.  I wonder if, at this point, it would help Donny's game to say, "I'm in this Team America alliance, and while I can't tell you who the others are I can tell you that more than one person still in this house full of people who deny they are working with me, are in fact working with me."

"Welcome to Big Brother! Or what we here at the show like to call 'Cody Homewrecker!'"

I think Julie will mention the stroking, etc.  If anyone wants to read, another poster had previously given a link to a Reddit users post that was at the live show when Zach was evicted. http://www.reddit.com/r/BigBrother/comments/2e93ap/i_was_at_the_live_eviction_tonight_here_are_some/

I agree that Victoria will cut someone if they try to get rid of Derrick, she went psycho on her hat, imagine what she'd do to Christine.

Well - it used to be safe, anyway....

At one point last night when Cody/Christine/Victoria were on the BY couch, Cody was telling Christine about Alyssa(sp?), a friend of his. Did Cody refer to himself as Alyssa's "gay shopping buddy"?

If he did refer to himself like that, that'd be great! I've always thought he's gay.  Another reason to go after married women is if a guy wants to prove to himself he's hot, it's an ego thing, really.

I don't know if he meant it factually, or if he was using it as an expression to emphasize they were friend-friends and not boyfriend/girlfriend. I was just wondering if anybody else had heard him say it, or if my ears were going flaky on me that late in the evening. :)
