  1. It was a real eye opener!! It proves sexism is alive and well in this country. I also had to be fingerprinted more than once, so I guess it happens sometimes.
  2. Well, the finale was quite the cliffhanger!!
  3. He works nights as a club DJ. I feel for the two girls, but more so for her other four children. Villi seems unhappy to me.
  4. The only winner I thought was promoted a bit was Danielle Bradbery. She had an endorsement with Skechers. She was also supposed to have a song played during the Summer Olympics, but I only heard Philip Phillips's song. Cassadee has also had some promotion, but that's it for the winners. Hopefully it will change with Jordan's win.
  5. Emily Ann may not have the best vocals, but she's the only one I feel who has charisma. I enjoy watching her perform, and I think she's miles ahead of Danielle (during the course of the show) in terms of stage presence (not vocals). I feel Jordan and Jeffery both have great voices, but there's no energy. I agree with the poster who mentioned that Jeffery doesn't seem to connect with the audience, and that's so important. (Watch Adele perform, Jeffery.) She won the night for me, so I hope she'll be able to make some connections after the show. Barrett is just horrible, and I actually had to mute him tonight. I agree with PreviouslyTV that something needs to change with the voting system to prevent artists like Barrett from advancing to the finals. He is by far the worst vocal performer to make the finals as far as I'm concerned. When I think how Cole Vosbury didn't make the finals because they only had a top three in season 5, I become steamed thinking about Barrett in the finals. Jordan leaves me cold. He shows no emotion (see Jeffery) when he performs, and I feel sometimes that I'm watching a mannequin. I think he's a more deserving winner than Sawyer, so I wish him well.
  6. I think I agree with your voting strategy. I usually vote for my favorites (who are Emily Ann and Jeffery of the remaining four). However, I'm so afraid that Barrett could win that I will probably throw my votes to Jordan, who is the only one left who could beat out Barrett. I'm heartsick that neither Amy or Madi made the top four. Heck, I'd even take Zach over Barrett. I'm so sick of the older, married family man (Javier, Jermaine, Josh, CWB) winning these shows, and then pretty much falling into obscurity. I still think Jeffery has the best voice and I think Emily Ann has charisma in spades, which has been devoid in other country artists (including Shelby). I also think Emily Ann could have a future if she's managed correctly. I will pray that Barrett goes out in 4th place, but I won't hold my breath. I cannot believe that he beat Jeffery to be in the top 3. I don't think it's the Blake effect at all. I see his fans on Twitter. They are like CWB's fans. They vote like crazy and then forget about the artist after the show. I wish they'd go back to one artist from each coach, That way we could have Madi in the top four. I know she fell apart last night, but I think she's crazy talented with her arrangements.
  7. I think the elimination of phone call voting may have contributed to an uptick in downloads. Fans could call from several phones, but online voting and digital downloads are more closely monitored. I have friends who just adore Jordan and think he's the best ever.
  8. Rankings as of 10:00 EST: 1 - Jordan 3 - Jeffrey 4 - Emily Ann 5 - Amy 6 - Madi 7 - Braiden 9 - Zach 10 - Barrett (Who is voting for him?) Shelby not in the top 10. If iTunes is any type of barometer at this junction (since it hasn't been as much this season), then I'm happy with any of this top five being the top four. I think Emily Ann has really grown on the show, so I hope she makes the top 3. I'll be happy with either Madi or Amy as 4th, but I give the slight edge to Madi because I enjoy her more. I hope Jeffrey also makes the top 3 since I know Jordan is the preordained winner.
  9. I think Emily Ann did a great job, but I agree Jolene would have been a better choice. I also liked Madi's song.
  10. This is my prediction. It's the middle three that will be a toss up. The only one I think is a lock for the top 3 is Jordan. I would love to see Jordan, Jeffrey, Madi and Emily Ann/Amy in the top four.
  11. I loved Madi, Jordan and Emily Anne tonight. I think Jeffery has a great voice, but hated his song choice this week. The others were either underwhelming or just plain not good.
  12. Season 5 was the last decent season for me, too. There was so much talent on that season, and I couldn't wait to watch the lives each week. I think you make a good point about the fact the show is on twice a year now. I think it's something the producers should really take a look at and reconsider going back to once a year. I think it takes a toll on the coaches and has an effect on how excited they are for a new batch, particularly the now permanent three (Adam, Blake and Pharrell). I still think part of the problem is that there really has been no breakout star on this show, with the exception arguably of Cassadee Pope. She may never be a Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert, but she is making a name for herself in the music industry. I suppose part of that is due to her Hey Monday success before The Voice. I guess Jordan could have some success, but if Sawyer doesn't become a breakout star, I don't see it happening for Jordan. I think part of this is due to overload with two seasons. Before the public has time to watch the newest winner develop, the show is already promoting the next season.
  13. Barrett was actually in the top 10 on iTunes in the morning. He peaked at 9 or 10 at that point. The only song I really enjoyed was Jeffery's song. This group is just so bland and boring. I hope better songs are picked for next week. Does anybody know why Pharrell was wearing sunglasses during the show?
  14. Max's mom cane to the hospital after Max was shot. Max witnessed his dad almost killing the mother, if I'm remembering correctly. Max did tell Taylor about his past. I thought Ben was in high school. How can he take time off for a few weeks? I've never seen so many emancipated teens. I just worry that this show sends the wrong message to teens.
  15. I'm still not convinced that Ben is Lori and David's son. Was there ever a paternity test done? I think Lori and Ben are involved in some scam.
