I’m also now seeing what everyone was saying about Jason/Sasha. She’ll be pregnant and Michael will ask him to claim he’s the father, which will be much easier to do in the same house.

And thus, the cycle that began with Jason claiming to be Michael's father to help Carly out of trouble begins anew.

Call me cynical but I think the reason Chad is leaving has something to do with money.  He’s got a cushy job, it doesn’t seem like he has to work very hard (imo he seems to have been phoning it in for a long time), and the writers seem to love him.  Why would he jump without a soft place to land?

Yeah it’s strange if that is the case.  For an actor to have a steady paycheck for this many years is gold, and it’s really not a heavy lift when it’s a character you know like the back of your hand.  Chad has a baby to support as well so you think he’d want/need the money.  Even a pay cut is better than no pay at all.  I know a lot of actors get bored playing the same role (Roger Hogarth comes to mind) but for some reason Chad doesn’t strike me as that type.  Oh well.  I can’t say I’ll miss him.  I wish they would recast with his temp.  I liked him.

With the news of Chad leaving the role of Michael, it will be a dumpster fire of how the stories he’s involved in will become because Frank, that prick, has stated he’s not going to recast.

Wow I can't see Micheal leaving his kids willingly so maybe a Coma or death is in order. Maybe they can have Drew and Micheal have a huge fight over Willow and Drew accidentally puts Micheal in a Coma or accidentally kills him? If it would end Willows gross feelings for Drewfus id welcome it

If Michael does end up dead/presumed dead or in a coma, Jason claiming to be Sasha's baby daddy would make more sense. I don't think Michael would willingly give up his child, because he's like Sonny and Carly that way, and since he knows Willow has fucked Drew, I definitely don't see him giving up on his kid to keep her from finding out about him and Sasha. But, if Michael's dead or in a coma, I can see Jason and Sasha deciding to hide the truth to protect his reputation and/or not cause Willow and the kids any further pain.

My vote is for temp Michael, Robert Adamson.  He was Noah in Y&R for years. He’s brought some life to Michael that Chad doesn’t.

I liked him too, but he played TSLS as NOT the TSLS he and has been since Chad took over the role. It’s like how Cameron’s Drew is the total opposite of Billy Miller’s Drew, except the opposite-Billy’s Drew was much better. This one? Maybe he’s a triplet?

Can we get Drew Garrett back?

I would LOVE it if we could get him back. He at least, could act and it was his Michael that Jason called a “little BITCH!” When he was being mean to Cujo. So he can play a layered character. We never were told why he was let go. Some speculation that he wouldn’t be able to play a vulnerable rape victim or something.

IDK, Jason still seems to be in the 6 year old's, "Girls are icky" stage.   He may have rescued her a week ago, but a ONS, even out of gratitude, seems like a stretch.

I think what @KerleyQ meant was that Jason would infer that he had a one night stand with Sasha-hence being the father to “protect ” the SLS.  Not actually have sex with Sasha. I say infer because Jason “never” lies outright. Though I think he has.

He doesn't have to have sex with her in order to claim to be the father. I mean, he hadn't had sex with Sam yet when he was claiming to be her baby's father to protect Sonny.

I just realized the Sasha and Michael's spawn would be a Spencer, a Quartermaine, a Corinthos AND a Scorpio. Is it too late to reveal Holly is Steve Hardy's secret daughter or that she's a Cassadine so we can make sure this kid is as connected as possible?

May I ask the source of "the facility that Jax found"? I was clearly on the barge when that happened.

Mentions on the show of "The Facility That Jax Found" were drinking-game material for a while there in the late 2000s. One of my favorite TWoP memories.

On Friday's show: I was skipping through a lot of it, and I would not have expected Michael/Curtis scenes would be a highlight, but those scenes were not bad at all. I liked the way Curtis pieced it out, with his comments about revenge being the wrong place from which to make business decisions. The way he took what Michael said seriously while having just enough loyalty to Drew, given his history with Drew, felt right. And I liked that Michael respected Curtis's position instead of getting pissy and flouncing out with a Corinthos "If you're not with me, you're against me" attitude.

Also, look at Dante and Jason, adulting. The characters at the Q mansion were the other part of the show I somewhat enjoyed.

Lowlight: Whatever Trina and Gio were doing. I didn't listen to enough to pass a quiz. I got the gist that Gio let himself in, frightened her, and Trina was troubled about something, and Gio said things to encourage her. Then they danced goofily at the end, so he had been successful. You can always depend on the kindness of fiddlers to buck up your spirits and shield you from dangers, or something.

Isn't Carly's old place from when she was married to Jax available?

I suspect that the fear is that, if they went somewhere other than the Q mansion, Drew would fight them on Scout going with them. He's fine leaving her in the mansion while he's in DC, so that's where the rest of them are going to go to keep the kids together.

Yeah, I know, it just doesn't seem very believable that he jumped into bed with Sasha.  He's kind of inanimate, not passionate.

And that may well be the way a lot of viewers see him, but the characters in PC mostly see him as the manliest of big strong men. And they also all think he's scrupulously honest and direct. They aren't going to question whether he would have had a ONS with Sasha if he tells them he had a ONS with Sasha.

Sure, some of us in the audience might not buy it, but they don't need the audience to buy it, because we'd already know he was lying to protect Michael.

So many questions:

Has Laura been kidnapped? Why is she not at the bedside of her too-soon-discharged daughter?

How has Lulu been getting fluids and nutrition?

Did Ava's defense lawyer think to look at the structural integrity of that window?

Do the spectators at a trial always pick a bride or groom's side of the aisle?  Aren't witnesses usually kept outside until after they've testified, to avoid collaboration?

Does Kristina actually remember tripping over Jagger's (the dead FBI agent) duffel bag?

This whole thing with Cyrus and Lulu makes it look like he is trying to kidnap her. Laura specifically said that she didn't want to send Lulu to the long term care facility she was at because it was too far and now she signed off on sending her daughter to South Carolina or whatever Carolina? Laura didn't bother going to Sam's funeral and isn't bothering being by her daughter's side. Somehow Cyrus has taken over the care without anyone asking him.

I hate these trials. It should be a sin just how boring they are.

I'd be cheering Michael on if he wasn't Michael. There's nothing like knowledge of the truth and the liar still lying to your face. But he's Michael and my hate for him is as infinite as the universe. And Drew is an irredeemable prick.

Wait, what? Last we saw Laura, she said that Turning Woods was a better place for Lulu, because it was closer  to Port Charles, and not in New York City, where that first facility was. But I guess a different writer is handling this now and wasn't informed about that one little line? So she's now even further away in one of the Carolinas?

Good Grief.

Laura visited comatose Lulu regularly but wasn't at her side daily until her liver failed, so back to visiting weekly - or whatever?  It leaves plenty of time for Cyrus to manipulate Lulu's care. I was willing to see him as a red herring in the mysterious deaths but they're not being very subtle now.

Spoiler

I assume that the person who picks up Lulu tomorrow is Cody, as the dvr description says that he assists a stranger. I wonder what fake name she makes up. 🤔

I ff'ed most of the trial so far. I may watch tomorrow to see what Rick has up his sleeve. Or I may not. I honestly don't care about any of it.

The Thusday rerun is from July. I remember Tracy and Gio's verbal sparring over NYC. Though I expect it's supposed to be a refresher on Dante and Lulu, since Laura and Dante had that scene when they ran into each other visiting Lulu.

I think we're supposed to remember that Laura wanted her closer, and realize that Cyrus is maneuvering here.  But how is he able?  Where is Laura?

I'll have to see what happened today, but Laura was shown onscreen, saying that Lulu was now going to be taken/sent to Turning Woods, which was closer and not as far away as the first place. But upthread, @YaddaYadda stated that apparently, she's now in one of the Carolinas? And how is that old geezer, Cyrus, commuting? By wormhole?

She's still at Turning Woods, but Cyrus claims Laura is in agreement to move her to that better facility in South Carolina.  He was supposed to be off getting Laura's signature, and I can't help but wonder if he's done something to Laura.  And Lucky, who is also missing in Lulu action.

Cyrus told the doctors last week at the Facility Jax Didn't Find that the family had authorized him to make decisions about Lulu. Never mind that that has to be specifically indicated on a signed directive. Plot point!

But given how casual the employees at the FJDF are, I'm not surprised no one challenged him.

Color me shocked the baby is being called Irene, not Adela.

Ugh, Michael is such a passive-aggressive jerk, and Drew is the worst friend to Curtis.

The trial is pretty good so far, but there's too much about Josslyn being some sort of hero.

It's really gross how Carly and Joss must always have praise

Aah, okay, now I see what @YaddaYadda meant! It’s so stupid. This show is stupid.

And yes, in a criminal trial, when there are witnesses who will be testifying, they are kept out of the courtroom until it is their turn to testify!

UGH. Now with the ADA AND the judge referring to Ric as “Attorney Lansing” instead of “Mr.” by the judge. ADA just needed to say “your witness” and that’s IT!

Wow, In another couple days Lulu will be ready to sign up for the NYC marathon! How do we go from half the town being by her side 24/7 in the hospital to everyone totally ignoring her right after the transplant.

I'm surprised they didn't bring up Joss' impeccable GPA and her remarkable work as a waitress at Bobbie's while she was on the stand. -- "And is it true, Miss Jax, that you look stunning in your lifeguard uniform?"

Lulu is at Turning Woods and Cyrus is trying to manipulate the doctors there that he has the authority of the family to transfer Lulu to new facility in South Carolina.

When they showed the flashback of Kristina falling through the window, I thought "Why is the hotel owner not on trial for negligent homicide?"

Two other trial thoughts:

1. I kept hoping that someone told Kristina not to call the baby Adela because that would be sure to make her, not Ava, look guilty.

2. The prosecutor was played by Nazneen Contractor (Ransome, 24, Stratford  Festival) and Carlo Rota's wife. Can they keep her  to be an ADA for cases that Molly can't prosecute if TR is gone?

Cyrus as a kidnapper is the clumsiest red herring that I've seen in a while.

I'm impressed that Michael actually thought to tape his conversation with Drew. I didn't think it of him.

So, 180 on Cyrus and now he's a bad guy again? Or is Lulu just assuming that and getting her Jamie Summers Bionic Woman on?  But where are Laura and Lucky?  Gotta admit, I'm intrigued to get answers (inner voice: don't worry, I'm sure it'll be dumb).

How has the judge not stopped the trial to offer the town's sincere thanks to josslyn jacks and presented her with the key to the city?

I heard South Carolina, not South Dakota.  But then I didn't hear the heart monitor go off, either.

Ric doesn't have to disclose that he's related to half the people in the courtroom?

Went back and it was South Carolina.

As for Ric, I wonder if he will drop that bomb when he calls Molly to the witness stand.
