I’m assuming Gretchen is hawking shit on social media, and living off the annuitized earnings from Jeff’s life insurance.  Slade is probably still unemployed so neither he or his ex have to pay any costs for their sick child.  Also, lazy.

Gretchen and Slade are not married and I am guessing that she makes money from guest appearances and maybe Gretchen Christine is selling enough to get her by. Not as if she is living a lavish life since she still lives in the same house we last saw her in.

As far as Eddie, yes he has a gay vibe but I dont think he is gay and I think that's great. Not all straight men are super hetero in how they come across, at least not in the terms that were ingrained in us.

An interesting, yet not surprising observation - 

Her instagram is completely populated with photos of her son.  Slade's instagram has exactly one photo of Grayson, and it's a photo of the both of them.  All of the photos on Slade's instagram are copyrighted with ©GraysonEntertainment.  Pretty damn ballsy.

Any hints we've had of Slade's participation in this young man's life appear to be exactly what they seem.  Non-existant.

I have no idea if IVF hormones can do that -- it certainly didn't occur to the 2 women I know who had IVF (they were incredibly weepy, tho, during the process, which I could  see happening with Gretchley) -- but I am reminded of Tori Spelling claiming her boobs were the result of wearing a VS WonderBra.

I still watch her IG stories with a mixture of horror and fascination; I’m still baffled by her tacky taste in decor with that same overstuffed townhouse of theirs. The irony is, I really liked her pre-Slade; she had a spunky, witty personality and was like the darkhorse you rooted for to outwit the mean girls like “Tam-ruhhh”((her naked wasted antics still make me laugh)). Then she immediately became weirdly self-righteous, snarky and insufferable the minute she and Slade hooked up. 

It’s a damned shame and such a waste—-she really could’ve found such a better man with real cash and status and no vasectomy/baggage. Which proves that she really must love that doofus somehow.

I don't even know what I mean by what I'm about to say, because I'm an East coast girl, and the farthest west I've ever been is Vegas.  But I liked the first couple of seasons of OC...that big new church, everyone praying whilst getting trashed and cheating on their spouses and raising baby escorts, not caring if their kids ever attended a day of school,  spending days getting blonder and tighter and tanner while the husbands "earned" faux-wealth on credit.  This franchise has kind of become a dramedy (except Potomac these days...that might be real.)
