I've heard a few people say similar things, and at first I kind of just wrote it off, but now I'm starting to think there may be something to this. I've noticed that Meri is way too loud, especially during her talking heads. Why is she always yelling? It's annoying AF. It would make sense if she were half in the bag at the time. For me - it's the hair. Love or hate her style, Meri always painstakingly had her hair 'fixed' for every talking head. Last night it was quite literally running away from her head. It had that 'brushed while drinking my wine' vibe.

Are we not going to discuss how sloshed Meri was during her talking head? Homegirl's hair was cray. Entire demenor was I don't give a fuck. Meri continues to be a messy bitch this season and I am here for it.

To be fair - folks have recorded cinema-quality movies on their iPhone. I suspect the real problem is Whitney not taking the time to learn how to setup their recording area, and use the in-built functions for recording and editing their videos. In other words - it's a failure of the person, not the equipment. Like much of her life.

Discussing whether Meri did, or did not, ever intend to truly want a polygamous life, and whether she intentionally sabotaged the relationship with the second wife (Janelle) - I think it's good to remember that this second wife was the EX-WIFE of Meri's BROTHER. I have no love for Meri - but good lord. That is a lot to handle on top of dealing with normal poly BS.

Ethan's commentary about how difficult it was growing up - to understand the difference between what god wanted ... versus what Kim wanted... summed up in a nutshell how horrible Kim (and Barry) are as parents. The amount of religious gaslighting that happened (and is still going on) in that household is incredible.

SteVen was also disposing of a pizza box when he was cleaning after Alina walked out without speaking to him before her mother arrived. All I can see is Spicoli when SteVen is on screen, and he did like his pizza.

Edit to add - so happy for the children of the corn who are breaking free of their shackles. Ethan's plight shows how hard it is, when you have been sheltered and not allowed to have friends \ significant others with different thoughts and beliefs of their own. He will make it, but not without difficulty. Not so sure he and Olivia will be together, but they are both learning, and I think they will both be better people at the end of this (if together or apart).

If this ever happens - it would be awesome if instead of saying something about her weight, you yelled out 'Hey! Whitney! You have a shitty personaility!!!'

Soooo.... according to an article on the front page of Primetimer... Rach is considering leaving MSNBC (not necessarily for another network, but to do something other than hosting a daily M-F show). Although I would miss her show terribly... it really sounds like she needs a break. For her own health and sanity, if she decides to go, I will miss her but will be glad that she knows when to walk away if she needs to do so.

She reminds me of Chidi's soulmate on the Good Place (when they were trying to drive him crazy) - Esmerelda. I keep expecting her to draw up a corner of her shawl and say 'Away! I must tend to my ravens.'

I am teaching an adult how to play guitar. She is highly motivated, but the struggle is real, and the fingers are not wanting to make the right shape at the correct angle to make a fairly simple chord. However, she is determined to stick with it and keep practising slowly, consistently, every day until it starts to stick. All that to say - Janelle will never learn to play a few chords. 🙄

I wish I could like this twice. It was INFURIATING to see them fall all over themselves to praise his idea for a podcast (Amber\Trent - he is waffling. He doesn't want to work. He doesn't want to go to school. He doesn't want a job. This is a stalling tactic. Omg how can you not see this). There is a lack of high-quality sports podcasts out there, so they have that market all to themselves, he and his friends should be rolling in the dough in no time. Podcasts are so easy, all you have to do is put it out there, listeners and advertisers will be smashing down your door to give you money. But Anna - ANNA is the one who doesn't have good plans or know what she's doing??? Argh. The disconnect with reality hurts. It burns.

A thousand times this. I would like to add to this list of watchers Boob, Mullet, and the TLC executives who are hoping this blows over. Put them in a dark room, their eyes held open Clockwork Orange style, and let them see what dear precious first born prince has been watching. Edited to add - too many people are giving TLC a pass on this because Josh is no longer on the show. As others have said but I will say again - TLC IS FUNDING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE PAYING FOR JOSHUA DUGGAR'S DEFENSE. I wish no ill will to the siblings, but TLC allowed the parents back on the current show - can we not have a little biblical you reap what you sow lesson here? Pull the plug. The best thing for the siblings \ rest of the family is for the show to go away anyways. Edited AGAIN - folks here of course aren't giving TLC a pass. I mean out in the wilds of the internet. We are good people here and know better.

I hope decades from now, after all the wives have left Prince Jackwagon, that it is Ysabel that drew the short straw to stay behind to take care of her aging father. I hope he falls, and breaks a hip. And when he begs and pleads for her to take him to the hospital, she takes off her glasses to look him straight in the eye and says 'it will have to wait six months'.

I know what you mean! I am thankful I wasn't born into this, or any, cult. I totally agree! And just to note - Janelle was not raised in a polygamous family. She chose this shit. I truly don't understand how anyone can consider her the 'smart' one. I know it is a pretty low bar with this group. But still. 🙂 Janelle also divorced Meri's brother to marry Meri's husband. It's quite the tongue twister. Speaking of which, one of my favorite things said on this forum back in the day (I am so sorry I can't give a shout out don't remember who) - their family tree... is a wreath.
