It is not your new tv. :)

Started watching around 6:15. Is it just me, or is the show just completely off the rails today? I mean, more than normal.

OMG, do it Congress! Trump's head would explode. In a poof! of orange cheese-dust.

I don't get why we have to tip-toe around the D students? 100 times this. I was condescending to folks who were considering voting a reality teevee star into the oval office. A horrible businessman, who lost money on a CASINO. The only people who lose money on a casino are either woefully incompetent, or are laundering money (or in this case, likely both), history of bankruptcies, lawsuits, a path of destruction following him his entire life, professionally and personally. Condescending was my least offensive way to treat these people.

Sorry, but you're both wrong. The answer is - country club rental fees can be dissolved in bankruptcy. Student loans can not.

I am building a little shrine in a back room to give thanks every day. Oakville is doing god's work here. If Oakville's bullet points don't interest me, I know the show won't either!

Wish I could like this 100 times, I kept fast forwarding thru the show going.... when do we get to GPS Fusion? I may have looked at the MJ clock wrong, I think it might not have been over a full hour? Before they got to this? Why do I watch this show.... (I watch this show because although I can't stand M & J, I love most of their regulars! And they get really good guests. sigh....)

Hi oakville, reading thru your bullet points (thank you for your service btw!), trying to decide if I want to start scrolling thru the show today (its on dvr). What's an earmark?

Hey, he did the best he could with the material at hand.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Xena replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
The reason I have always thought Janelle was the dumbest in an already dumb box of rocks - she didn't grow up in polygamy. For the others, I will always cut them a tiny sliver of slack as they were brainwashed since birth - that's tough to break away from (not impossible). Janelle chose polygamy. -
A blessing basket? Are they giving away babies? "Spend 90 minutes listening to our sermon, get a free baby!"

Xena: Warrior Princess - General Discussion
Xena replied to David T. Cole's topic in Xena: Warrior Princess
And... its dead. Or at least Javier is no longer part of it (which quite frankly is pretty bad news, even I wasn't that thrilled about him in the first place, and even if they are still trying to work this, which all indications are they aren't): https://moviepilot.com/p/xena-reboot-not-happening/4263905 -

I picture her sneaking, ninja style in her Lularoe black leggings and long flowing black sweater, into Robyn's garage late at night where she throws her boxes of unsold LLR and LIV behind the mounds of unsold MySisterWivesCloset boxes.

It's the same time frame when all the horrible things caused by legalizing marijuana in some states will happen. Just look for that same date on your calendar.

"It's not what you fling, it's the fling itself" well, that's how I remember it anyways. The look on Shelly's face SLAYED me. Maybe if the Brown's visited Cicely it would make for a more interesting show... Topic? The show is so boring and bloated I keep forgetting a new season is on! I finally did watch this week. One thing that bugs me because I can't quite figure it out and maybe you folks can help - does it seem like Matt's accent is MUCH less... affected this season? I could swear there were a few sentences last night where it was almost gone. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if I have just gotten accustomed to it, and now it 'seems' less... fakey? Just me? The rest of them seemed pretty much the same.

Xena: Warrior Princess - General Discussion
Xena replied to David T. Cole's topic in Xena: Warrior Princess
I want to be excited about this. I really do. But I can't. I keep thinking about the original series - without Lucy. And it just isn't possible. I think they could do something different, maybe change it up enough to be good on it's own - and then I read this (from Grillo-Marxuach) "Let me give you an itty-bitty peek at the store by telling you a few words you won't be hearing from me: Grim. Gritty. Dire. Depressing. What I want to do is to make something that is both fresh and new but that is also respectful and evocative of that feeling of fun and adventure that was so perfect in the original. I believe I heard it referred to somewhere as 'the power, the passion, the danger.'" And I go 'ugh'. It just sounds... wrong. The reason I STAYED with Xena, thru all of the silliness, was what I'm afraid they think is grim, gritty, dire, and depressing. But that's just me. The casting on this - is going to have to be phenomenal. It simply won't work if they don't find the right person. On the other hand, I never would have thought Krysten Ritter could pull off what she ... pulls off in Jessica Jones. But she does. OMG, can we get Krysten for this? LOL I keed, I keed. but OMG, I can totally see her sneering in the leather breastplate, throwing out sarcastic comments as she whacks the bad guy in the head.... I'll go sit in the corner now. -
I hope in Season 2 (there really must be a Season 2) that we get another segment on Trish Talk with the rock-flutist to discuss more of her memoir 'Blowing'.

Things I noticed while I was half asleep watching the show: Whoa, when did Slash join the Browns? Oh, wait, it's just Noah's new hat, sorry Slash. Noah has added a fancy waistcoat to go with his new fancy hat. Noah is meditating to 'elevate' his mind. Dude, you would need to meditate more than the Dalai Lama for that to happen. I noticed Noah 'meditating' in the background before they ever mentioned it - I was laughing so hard, hoping they would bring it up later. Sure enough, the Brown's never let an opportunity pass to make sure we know that Noah is the enlightened one of this group. That's kinda like saying Slash is the sober one in the band. Sorry Slash. Matt's hair is looking REAL wonky in some of those talking heads. The youngest girl still has her makeup gun set to 'stripper working Tuesday lunch shift'. Bear looks better with that droopy mustache shaved off. Gabe still manages to get cash for the steroids.

It appears something is wrong with your copy\paste function as you neglected to include the further definitions of punish. Let me include the second definition that was dropped off (bolding mine): pun·ish ˈpəniSH/Submit verb inflict a penalty or sanction on (someone) as retribution for an offense, especially a transgression of a legal or moral code. treat (someone) in an unfairly harsh way. Not sure why we are using the dictionary. It's pretty obvious what happened, and who allowed it to continue. A boycott of the girls specials is actually the opposite of a punishment - in my opinion, the best possible outcome of the boycott (and indeed this whole mess) would be to lead the girls, and everybody else in this f*cked up environment, to the conclusion that they need to find a way to make a living that does not involve suckling off the teat of TLC

The victims were punished by JimChelle when they allowed Josh to stay after they knew what was going on.

They'll feel however JimBob tells them how to feel about it.

BookElitist - I could not disagree with you more about Trish, but it's always good to see a different opinion. :) Welcome. I can see a bit where you are coming from about the whining - but to me - this was more Trish's way of pushing (yes pushing) her way back INTO Jessica's orbit - she knew how and why Jess was trying to lock her out of her life, and Trish was having none of it. I saw that as a friend who would NOT take 'leave me alone' at face value, and kept waiting for her friend to come back... :) I loved Trish's inclusion in the story, but I do see where you are coming from...

She reminded me so much of Pennsatucky in the hoodie that it took me right out of the scene. Just me? Alright then...
