  1. Ami calling Noah 'buff'... I do not think that word means what you think it means.
  2. Sorry SpiritSong I might have read your initial response incorrectly; I was reading here while also watching a Devin Nunes interview and it likely caused the wiring in my brain to go wonky, as listening to him often does.
  3. If they are reading direct quotes, I think it's fine to say the slur or profanity. My point was that her refusal to say 'bitch', along w/ her willingness to say 'wetback', was particularly glaring (why not say both? If you can say wetback you can CERTAINLY say bitch). I love Rachael but that grated.
  4. Minor quibble and maybe its just me - was disappointed that Rachael (correctly) called out a racial slur (in the Nixon tapes story), and then proceeded to say the slur out loud when reading the transcript (starts with w and rhymes with setback). I probably wouldn't say anything - but then she twice refused to say 'bitch' out loud when reading the same transcript. Otherwise - that segment was off - the - chain. So fascinating.
  5. Sweeeeeet. omg, I had no idea... I will be searching this weekend to see what I can find, thanks!
  6. Ooooh..... I don't know about this? I mean, I can surmise that he hates her because she's smart, has a detailed well thought out show full of facts and figures and history, and gets better ratings than him? Or is there something else? ;)
  7. LOL oh, you might still get to cash in your bet! :) Actually, the threat of jail time is likely the ONLY reason he remains sober (the only reason he got sober is because he got caught).
  8. I'm have NOTHING to back this up with...but what I gather from the show, it seems to me that Mike's brother screwed Mike. The brother is looking at some real time in the clink, whereas Mike is a looking at a couple years, probably for signing the tax returns that were fraudulent, Just my take.. Hey TV Diva Queen, with all due respect - I don't believe anything Mike says on the show. :) Here's something from the DAs office that is fairly damning (IMHO) (there are really only a handful of reasons you would layer your cash deposits as he is doing, none of them legal). You can't really plead ignorance if you're doing this, again, IMO... “Michael Sorrentino admitted that in tax year 2011, he earned taxable income, including some that was paid in cash, and that he concealed a portion of his income to evade paying the full amount of taxes he owed,” according to the document. “He also made cash deposits into bank accounts in amounts less than $10,000, in an effort to ensure that these deposits would not come to the attention of the IRS.”
  9. I don't feel that Ron's smack talk to Mike was out of line at all.... (and I hate Ron, so it's not that). Mike made millions, and didn't pay taxes. He's a tax cheat. I have no sympathy for white-collar criminals, I would be happy if he did get jail time - but realistically I don't think that's going to happen. Mike wants to be all cute as shit and smirk when he says don't do the crime if you can't do the time...
  10. Friday nights A block, about the similarities between the DNC suit and (what else, again) Watergate. Rachael is killing it with the one liners, in reference to history repeating itself, she said: 'History is plagiarizing itself.'
  11. Someone smarter than me needs to put that clip of Maddow reading excerpts from Comey's book up on YouTube, with twinkly lullaby music in the background, and title it 'Auntie Rachael's Bedtime Story Hour'.
  12. 'Morning Kasie' has a nice ring to it. As long as Heidi sits next to her in Mika's chair! (I know she has her Sunday night show, but why can't we have her 5 days a week?) Or AM Joy - everyday, not just the weekends!
  13. I'm able to hate-watch a show for a loooong time... but this one I just can't anymore; maybe all that are left are the hate-watchers?
  14. Just chiming in to relate - the show is unwatchable; I gave up a few weeks ago sounds like it is not improving. I still enjoy all the folks who are able to stomach it and snark here though!
  15. TLC really should run the following disclaimer at the bottom of the screen whenever this show repeats, during the conversations about scoliosis treatment, in the largest font that is available: "The Brown parents are not behaving in a responsible manner regarding a critical, urgent medical matter for one of their offspring, because they are idiots and they don't really care about anything except how much money it will cost; talk to your board-certified physician to determine the best treatments available for your particular situation."
  16. Graham is also the founder (quite literally) of Franklin Graham. I live near Charlotte, this week has been... difficult. I don't think Morning Joe's balls are large enough for this.
  17. I want to heart this 100 times but I can't.
  18. Christine! If Robyn flies the coop. Because I believe (could be wrong, of course...I try not to waste brain cells remembering details of what these nuts have pulled) that the names on the Lehi house were Meri, Janelle, and Kody. LOL Sasha888, you are right! To be completely honest - it didn't even cross my mind to take Christine into account (as a flight risk) because let's face it - she ain't going nowheres. :) But your point is valid - she could be the credit-holder. I guess her prior employment would be TLC? Ah the life of a grifter.
  19. They messed up with the Lehi house - they had too many names on the mortgage (I think Kody, Meri, and Janelle? Or at least Kody\Janelle?). To appropriately bleed the beast, you dump everything on one person (one person on the mortgage, one person has all the credit cards, one person has all the auto loans), so that when you file for bankruptcy, the next person in line can start applying for loans, etc... The messed up by having too many names on the Lehi house, that's the only reason they don't want to take a 'hit' on the property; this leaves them at a disadvantage if Robyn decides to fly the coop - who has clean credit to start the bleeding again?
  20. In a print interview I remember Rachael saying something to the effect that her job is to 'explain' the news - she is great at explaining all this! For one thing, I can't keep up with everything, and I think she is able to give me the 'big' stuff. And yes, she is able to tie it together.... in as straight a line as possible... and at the end of her segments (her 'A' segment) I am always like oooooohhhhhh, so THAT'S why she told me about that weird thing at the beginning, that appeared to have nothing to do with the news today... She's a storyteller extraordinaire.

  22. Agree Attica, I am amazed at the number of things I can be furious about at one time. And to flesh out what I'm trying to say above - it's horrible that Porter abused both of his wives; and the administration should not have ignored it; but Porter is the one who did the abusing, not Kelly, not Trump. Allowing someone to remain in a position to see the most highly classified information, daily - this is something that Kelly and\or Trump allowed. Kelly\Trump actively DID this; they can't shrug it off as something that someone else did, and it doesn't reflect on them. It certainly does reflect on them, as does allowing Jared to sit in on daily briefings while still not holding a permanent clearance. All this from the party so concerned with how Hillary handled 'classified info'.
  23. Yes, watched this morning - I like that Rachael if focusing more on the 'this should not be happening' (regarding the clearance situation), rather than focusing on the salacious details of the abuse allegations. To be clear - the latter is a serious matter, in no way am I trying to minimize it. But the clearance situation - is something that also needs serious follow up, and I fear that the abuse allegations have become the focal point of the story. I have not been able to keep up with the news cycle the past couple of days as I normally can, so let me know if I'm wrong!
  24. Actually, they use his jar head\crew cut to make the levels. If its not flat, its the level that's wrong, not the hair.
  25. Tomorrow is Ground Hog's Day! If he's in the bunker - we have a blue wave in 2018? If he isn't, we start WW III ?
