  1. I tuned into see Caleb Foote because I loved him in the kids are alright (RIP) so was sad he wasn’t in it more. Still the premise intrigued me. Kind of like an extended Black Mirror episode. Not a huge Ray Romano fan but I’ll tune in for sure
  2. I was wondering that as well so glad to know. It would've been a good callback. Don't remember seeing Tony (Sandra's son) in the episode but I'm not bothered. I'd rather see the other established characters. I imagine Sturgis and Sons will serve that hipster crowd that like to support niche local businesses and Cheyenne/Mateo are good to interact with that grouping. One callback I noticed was the woman asking Jonah/Amy about some medicine. She was there in the pilot too, asking the same type of question.
  3. https://tvline.com/2021/03/23/george-segal-dies-the-goldbergs-actor-dead/ I don’t know if they show is still filming so wonder if they will deal with it. RIP.
  4. How many episodes are there this season? I feel like we have so far to go before the final. Kandy should’ve been in the bottom for that green monstrosity. Every week she puts on a body suit and terrible makeup and gets a pass because she makes Ru laugh. Her conmercial wasn’t funny at all. I am so done with her although with the redemption arc she is getting I expect her in the final. Love Symone and Rose. Symone’s commercial was perfect and Rose rocked the runway.
  5. Well congrats to Lawrence I guess. I was rooting for Bimini but Lawrence was my second. I just thought Bimini really brought it in the back half and deserved the win. Oh well. A pretty good season. Loads better than US which feels like it has been on for months with no end in sight.
  6. Revival? I'd be okay if they actually aged everyone 15 years. Interested to see the teens all grown up. I just hope they have Luanne being personal stylist for Taylor Swift or something as the reason she's not around and not have her be killed off.
  7. I would say the decision to oust Denali is the worst of the season but that honor belongs to the non-sashay of Kandy. But it was terrible nonetheless. And I like Olivia but Denali paid the price for her mistakes and that just sucks. I saw none of Kandy in Gottmiks outfit or performance really. I don’t get what Ru and the gang see in her. Although when Denali was cut it looked like Michelle was not happy with that decision. This season is a bust. I get COVID but it has dragged so much. They need to have a quadruple elimination next week to speed things along.
  8. Agreed. The transplant episode ends with Blanche talking about how she gained a sister again was such a nice ending and to have it all be wiped away was sad. I get that could logically happen but the reasoning was weird. Even if Blanche had jumped on a plane, she might not have made it in time to see Big Daddy and maybe Virginia should've told her the severity of the situation. In the same situation, I would've likely done the same. That being said, Blanche saying "I'm nobody's little girl anymore" is one of the best-delivered lines of the show (wrong thread I know).
  9. I actually liked this episode. No one was too much of an idiot or an ass. Did anyone special voice Kyle? I wonder if we will ever see him again aside from a possible cut away where he is killed off.
  10. I actually thought this was a sweet episode. I like the ones where Bart and Lisa get along even if she did shatter his dreams. Were Marcia Wallace's lines from old episodes or did they do some magic and cobble together the lines she spoke? And I smirked at the priest gag. Random Bart was in a Catholic Church.
  11. I can't imagine Ginny is the blind item (cursing queen) discussed here - she doesn't seem the type. But who knows - we do only see what the producers want us to. Still, good for her for just sashaying away cause it was obvious she was done with the show. Curious to see how they handle the corona shutdown and if any of the queens will change during the time away.
  12. Yeah I don’t hate here as much as Kandy but she does act superior. She’s good but not necessarily better than some of the others. Not much else to add for this episode except I agree with what has been said And I know people express emotion differently but I felt Gottmik was barely moved by her parents video. But I’m not really gonna judge that as I realize there is probably so much history we are t privy to. I did however think it was very random and came out of nowhere.
  13. Bruce Kirby, who played Bill the pharmacist passed away. Even though the story was cheesy, I liked he and Blanche's chemistry.
  14. I actually enjoyed the second episode. It was slightly different than most episodes. I mean the Adam stuff. The Barry and Erica plot has been done 57 times already. But the Adam thing was a new take on him and I liked it. As a die hard Airplane fan I was sorely disappointed with the first episode. The Goonies episode is my all time favorite one and that is how you do a take on a film. This was lame.
  15. Did we ever see plague doctor ghost before episode 8? He would have been great to pop up for a scare here and there. And I wish we had seen other ghosts. Like the soldier we glimpsed once. Henry even mentioned having an imaginary soldier friend so I assume that’s who it was. But no payoff.
  16. I’m not disliking this. I like Owen and Hannah a lot. I think the issue is that it feels like I’ve seen this story before. Hill House was an old story too but they did new things with it. So far, Bly seems pretty same old same old. Ghost watch alert. Saw someone in a military uniform in the kitchen during the Peter/Rebecca scene.
  17. I didn't really get the yoga instructor exchange. Was it just a nod to the stereotype of them being flighty because while I can see that, I still think they know yoga and what it's about. It was just a weird scene. In fact, this whole episode was weird scenes, with the principal stuff and the scene changes (which I liked). It's like they had some random ideas for scenes and cobbled them together here. But, thinking about it, that may just be the Family Guy MO now anyway and I just noticed it because it's been awhile since I've seen a new episode.
  18. I forgot Hank wasn't doing Carl anymore, so kept wondering if he was sick or something because Carl sounded slightly off. Then I remembered the new casting and it made sense. It was pretty good and I'll get used to it. I don't really know David Harbour's voice, but for some reason I knew it was him playing Fred. Maybe because Fred looked a bit like him. Loved all the Iron Man associations. I did enjoy this episode. It gave the secondary characters a chance to shine and there were some good callbacks. Solid start to Season 32.
  19. Late to the party but just watched the last episode and man it was good! I teared up a few times this last season. Shadow Weaver's death got me more than I thought it would even if she was a terrible person. Her telling Catra she was proud of her was perfect. And then the kiss! It was amazing how basically everyone ended up on the side of good - even Hordak. I thought it was a good ending but still left open the possibility of more. And I assumed Bow and Glimmer were a thing based on the future vision (which I guess could not have been real) but I'm open to whatever. The only pairing I wasn't really a fan of was Mermista/Sea Hawk. They both amused me independently, but I didn't feel the chemistry. My favorite character was probably Scorpia. She had the coolest character arc to me and evolved so well. My reference for Lauren Ash is Superstore, so it was great to see a softer side to the character, which I didn't think would happen early on.
  20. I know I’ve harped on this before but this Bev is worried about Adam growing up is so done to death. I feel this was already done this season which is the height of lazy. This show is just bad now and I loved it so much early on.
  21. I've read some stories that she actually wasn't prevented from sitting. They shoved her back against the wall, but she got to be there. I get the point of that scene but knowing that bothered me. They could've still gotten across the point with the truth because she was still treated terribly. I guess I'm in the minority, but I liked Jim Parsons in this. I'm not even a fan of his, but I thought he did some good work with the lackluster writing. The turn around for his character was a bit jarring but I thought he did really well in the last scene with Rock. You could actually see his humanity. I can't imagine another season unless they just do a totally different decade or something. Maybe keep the same cast in different roles. They need to rethink the younger actors though. I like Samara Weaving in other things (Ready or Not is amazing) but she was so blah and Darren Criss was so bland he blended into the wallpaper most of the time. I think a large part was the writing for them but the older actors got crap writing and made it work.
  22. Yeah the dream was weird. Why would Bow dream about her mom and grandfather talking at work? I thought it was a good opportunity for the characters to have some fun but they didn't take advantage of it.
  23. They specifically said the Hayes code didn’t allow interracial couples so curious to see how that goes. Even if it’s an alternate timeline, it’s still a product of the time. Rob Reiner was great in his small role and once again I care more about the older set. The Mira Sorvino/Patti LiPone scene was good. As was the casting scene. Can’t wait to see if Jim Parsons leaks those photos. I read in real life Rock Hudson needed 37 takes to get through his one line in his first film. So this tracks. Wonder where his story will go since he didn’t get the part.
  24. I think most everyone associated with Ace Studios is made up. Jim Parsons just got his Emmy submittal here. I find myself caring more about the older characters than the younger ones. I’d rather watch Joe Mantello and Holland Taylor verbally spar all day than some of the other stories. Although I like Archie a lot. But I don’t really care about Jack or Claire and even Darris Criss is kinda boring. It’s early though.
  25. If anyone is into podcasts the show Mobituaries hosted by Mo Rocca has a great episode about Anna Mae Wong. The dialogue is so stilted. I assume it is intentional to mimic the way movies were done as an homage or something. I need a couple more episodes before I really judge.
