  1. Love the "pillow" talk! The whole thing seems very Tricia who is in way over her head. Bridget Everett is so very good in this role and I will repeat that it is a travesty she wasn't nominated for an Emmy for Season 1. I hope they rectify that in Season 2. Even though I thought Sam overreacted to the Joel "betrayal", I totally understood where it came from especially with the sister reveal and all that's going on with her family. This show is just so realistic on several levels and I love it. Also, please more hot neighbor in Season 3.
  2. IIRC, he died drinking poison in that Romeo and Juliet competition with the other actor. The crew brought him back to star on his old show and then he died again when he got crushed by falling debris. Even though the first episode was super meta, I still enjoyed it. I like how they've settled into the Fry/Leela relationship: she knows he's an idiot and does dumb things but loves and supports him anyway.
  3. Totally agree. My partner and I were saying this. I get wanting to highlight the whole cast, but why the opening of Sweeny Todd and not one of the other numbers? And Kimberly Akimbo and & Juliet's choices were not the highlight of those shows. At least NY NY knew to play their finale in their performance as it's the best part of the show. Probably won't help it extend its run though. I know it's been discussed but this is a cute show. And the plot is post-R&J if Juliet had lived (and stuff involving Shakespeare and his wife). But, this and Beautiful will tour well which I think is the goal. It's almost like Broadway is becoming the launching pad of national tours. There used to be some breathing room between the show and tour, but Funny Girl is heading out already. Oh and yay! on Alex and J Harris winning. And so many queer winners overall. I wish we had seen Lea's face when Alex won.
  4. I am rooting for Heidi and La La. I like both of them. Alexis has stepped it up too so good for her. I'm bummed Monica went home because I think she could've brought it if she had more time. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of Darienne. And I don't know what it is, I just don't like the huge breastplates that these queens wear. I get it with Jimbo as an exaggeration, but they never look real to me and always distract from what is often otherwise a nice outfit.
  5. I enjoyed this season a lot and can't wait for Season 3. I do wish they had added an episode or 2 cause it felt so rushed at the end. I did want some twist that the Narrator had turned out to be the killer or something but I did appreciate the falling chandelier and organ music hinting at things to come. Seeing Jaime Camil in Rocky drag made me realize that they didn't do much with that show (although I understand) but also we didn't get anything of the Wiz did we? Again, that may have been hard but there could've been some kind of throw away line or shot.
  6. I saw Patti lament that she wanted to be in Schmigadoon but they told her she was too old. Not sure I fully believe that. I wonder if they wanted her to be the I'll Drink To That lady and she wasn't interested in the basic cameo. This show is so stacked as it is, adding too many Broadway icons would overstuff this already overstuffed show (and I say that with love).
  7. Yeah it seems weird this isn't standard protocol for Starfleet. They make first contact and then don't interact with the planet for over a decade? They should be cultivating relationships so they can get allies and trading partners. I feel they should at least have a Zoom meeting occasionally.
  8. I wonder how "random" this order is. I feel like most people who watch it the way Netflix assigns them is getting mostly the same order, especially the Red, Pink, White final 3 (what I got too). I do think Yellow, which was my first, was a great episode to start on because you got a little bit of all the characters and the connection between Hannah and Ray. I feel I would've been lost with some of the others as the first because character development was minimal at times. I wish they had combined Red and Pink into one episode and had another pre-heist one where we got some additional character development (RJ???).
  9. I laughed quite a bit in this episode. I thought the end was a bit of a mess and all over the place but I enjoyed it. I had forgotten about Peanut Hamper but I like world building and seeing what goes on in other places. I'm fine with the divergence from the Cerritos. Maybe because I'm binging so I didn't really miss the crew.
  10. I assume Ava is a triple-crosser and that she agreed to help the Feds and then will turn on them. My thing is, once i got my nanny back, I would send her somewhere safe from ICE and then just lie to the Feds. They already have her, so she can feed them false information. Bob is terrible. I don't get why Stan wants Judy. She obviously has dubious taste in men. Not worth it. Also, does Stan remind anyone of Jack Quaid (Boys)?
  11. This was my third episode and I think this would not be the best episode to start on as there are a lot of characters shown and you have no idea their connections. I realize that's part of the fun, but this one jumped right into the heist. It was still fun though and I like the cat and mouse games.
  12. Yes! That final scene made me tear up. This show has one of the best portrayals of friendship that I have ever seen. Jen and Judy have such chemistry together and I love when they just talk to each other. The secrets and craziness can sometimes annoy me but when we get a grounded scene like this, it makes me sad to know it's ending.
  13. I knew what was coming and still ugly cried at the ending. I was torn over whether they should kill Phil off or give him a happy ending and in a sense, they did both. LJ's absence is definitely felt so I wonder if the show can succeed at this point considering it's already not doing so great in the ratings. Not that he carried the show, but he filled a specific role in the ensemble and the gap is noticeable. Lurlene doesn't really work for me and I 'm not sure I need more of Carter's cousin. And neither of those fill that gap.
  14. Yeah I wanted to like this show more but I was worried from the moment I saw they were doing a will-they-or-won't they love storyline. That has been done to death (and better). I wish they spent more time on the actual store and plots about it as none of the characters (except maybe Connie) were very interesting. I think with workplace shows like this, the ones I've enjoyed (The Office, Superstore) have built up the worlds around them with a great group of supporting characters. This show hasn't done that enough and if they had, I think it would've succeeded better. As far as the cliffhanger, I hated the looting bit at the end and I won't get into the Timmy/Eliza story. If this show gets a second season, they seriously need to fine tune it and abandon the romance plot.
  15. Nathaniel's character on It's a Sin didn't leave much of an impression but I really enjoyed him here (glad he won), as well as the other cast. That show was a bit heavy at times, so it's nice to see them have fun. And I just saw Ollie on RuPaul's Drag Race UK so he's making the rounds!
  16. Fun episode even if it was obvious KimJoy was going to win. I like seeing old bakers come back and I laughed when Matt said they were all going home.
  17. I've watched the first 3 episodes. I'm a sucker for these kind of competition shows so I will watch the whole thing but I do hate the "twists". In the second episode, the drink-off at the end had them make them without tools. Unneeded drama - just let them make a drink and judge it. That works for Bake-Off so I don't enjoy adding unnecessary obstacles. Also, the one judge is trying too hard to be mean. From the fact that I'm the first post, I assume this show isn't getting much buzz so there may not even be a season 2. But if so, I hope they tweak it and just go back to basics.
  18. Not much talk about Season 4 so I will toss in my 2 cents. I am happy that Yong-Chin won although I thought Lisa was overall the most consistent with her looks. I will again throw out my annoyance that this show has become more a Face-Off than a make-up show. It's mostly about body paint and prosthetics, which is nice but I wish they would mix up the main challenges to include traditional make-up looks. I do appreciate they do them for the mini-challenges and final cuts but they don't spend enough time getting into the actual techniques of these big paints and I would like some more of that. Ding-dong baby! (sigh...)
  19. This show falls right into the Greg Garcia canon with its flawed, yet somehow likable characters and silly situations. And they've gotten the feel of the early pandemic so right. I know it was 2 years ago, but it fells like 20 so it doesn't bother me. I also love things like when the guard said some clothes had moth holes and then Jack's suit is ripped up. They don't even say anything about it - it's just a random visual gag that these shows do so well. Looking forward to watching it.
  20. Hello NPH's booty! And for a first hook-up, you can't do much better than Gilles. That man hasn't aged in 20 years.
  21. I was okay with the win - I actually really liked the through-the-floor installation - but I agree that this season was blah. To me, it's for 2 reasons: 1) The episodes were short which didn't give a lot of time for insight into the process and developing personalities (Minhi was the exception) and 2) The challenges were static. I feel like in past seasons, they were challenged to try different techniques and types of glass, whereas this season was all art pieces. I want a mix of both so I can see the range of an artist. It would be like Bake-Off only making cakes. I've never been a fan of the way they discuss with the artists after they've judged but I think with even shorter episodes, that segment is especially worthless. I never really get much insight that changes my view. I'd rather have real-time critiques with the contestants so a discussion can be had.
  22. Agree here that 1) I invest way too much headspace to the outcome of this show and 2) the Shea vault to the top 4 was ridiculous. I'd rather they had done a 2-star round and then had all the 3-star queens lipsync it out for the final two spots (Jinx and Monet having 4 stars). It also means Monet has more stars than Jinx even though Jinx won so many more times. So, I am curious how this will go. Jinx is the obvious winner from a technical standpoint but I don't put it past TPTB to "shake it up" in the name of drama. That being said, I loved this season. It was so refreshing to see the pressure of elimination removed and the queens just getting to enjoy themselves for the most part. I watched the first episode of Canada yesterday and it felt really awkward to see the cattiness of the traditional format.
  23. Just had to post this - how in the hell did Bridgett Everett (or anything from this show) not get an Emmy nomination? I realize there are 400 million shows out there but this is inexcusable. Sorry, had to rant.
  24. Has anyone heard if Oscar is coming back as he was a regular in Season 2? I think not, but I did like him as a character. I guess if anything, they'll upgrade Nick to regular status.
  25. I am soooo over Yu-Ling and her OTT readings of texts. She acts like every message is some big reveal that has altered the universe. I feel for whoever is transcribing her messages. I really liked Bru (mainly to look at) but I am not surprised he was blocked. I honestly don't see how Frank can't win this thing. Maybe Yu-Ling or Rachel has a shot but not the others. The others are too new and haven't really made an impact and no one really likes Nathan enough. Everyone is playing with their heart and that is why I think Frank has this. The only person really playing with their mind is Nathan/Alex and I don't think his scheming is enough to knock Frank out. He tried with that painting and it failed.
