  1. Totally agreed. I feel the song was half over before I ever heard BLH on it and I think she just rapped. Was there no singing? Very odd to me. I also agree with those saying BLH has mostly looked meh this year but has brought it the last couple of episodes. I loved her Greek Goddess look. Happy with an Isis win. She both evolved and showed diversity throughout the season and I love it when an "older" queen wins.
  2. I have to rant a bit about the cooking show skit. I am fine with recurring skits but change it up! They take the previous script and change a few words here and there and I am so tired of it. I get it - one cake is alive and one chef makes a really good cake that is dismissed and one makes a dirty cake...it is so easy to mix this skit up and try new things but they don't. I don't remember much about the previous dog-man one but I feel it is the same way. I was excited for Simu Liu but he got basically nothing to do. And seeing the Asian skit and the karaoke, it seems he has the ability but they stuck him in the straight-man roles too much.
  3. Not much discussion here as we head into the finale this week. This is IMHO an Ella/Kitty showdown. I this Krystal is beautiful but she has never felt as versatile as the others. If this show was all about the runway, she would win, but this show has become a talent show with a runway element. Krystal is so young but I know she has a big career ahead of her. I think either is deserving of the win.
  4. I thought this episode was okay. Since these characters never age, I do appreciate stories that actually have characters evolve a bit as that rarely happens. But things like Apu's marriage and kids and CBG's marriage are nice "new" permanent things that capture my interest in stagnant Springfield. I get tired of Homer and Marge breaking up every other episode. This is assuming, of course, that they actually follow thorough with the wedding storyline.
  5. I’m late to the party so I’ll just say: DUSTIN??? I can’t believe him and his stupid Vanilla Ice look won. Yuck. Which makes me sad because that means he’ll show up next season too at some point. But agree that Jimmy and Brooke will have careers and don’t need AGT. And if I worked for Cirque de Soliel I would snap up Aiden in a second.
  6. I thought Ruksana was being a little salty about the catfishers. I don’t really get the whole obsession with that. People are playing a strategy they think works for them and it’s a game so backs will be stabbed. But I guess that’s human nature. I agree that they should revamp the final rankings because the best players will often not win. But again it’s a game so who knows?
  7. Count me in as someone who is confused about the cast for the new season. There will now be 21 cast members - that's just way too much. The great thing about SNL is its ability to lose key cast members, allowing others to rise up. By keeping everyone, no one will get a chance to shine. The new cast will be shuttered to the background and the long-termers who will continue to trot out their greatest hits over and over.
  8. It’s amazing how my views of people evolve each season. This season I started loving Daniel and hating Nick and have now switched positions. Daniel was getting Courtney level annoying to me so I’m glad he’s gone. And I’m rooting for Daddy Nick to pull this out. But honestly I’ll be happy with pretty much anyone winning. I really like Jacki and wished she had come earlier. I totally get her being blocked. She was the safe choice at the end even if not the best strategy for James. Maybe next season they can bring her back. That would be interesting.
  9. I actually really enjoyed this episode. I loved the premise and the nods to the original show. I'm glad we got Ruby/Mel closure and thought they both did a good job. Leslie Jordan is always fun to me and Ramon was quite attractive, so I enjoyed that story. I think this show is not doing well in the ratings so I don't expect it back, but if it does, I am very interested in Elena's back story with her cousin. The one thing I don't care about is the Elena/Javier thing. I think I prefer Roarke being a bit more mysterious and less "human" if that makes any sense. I don't mind her having friendships and a past, but I feel the island would not appreciate romance as it may get in the way of the island's goals.
  10. Agreed that Ivan was super hot. Man... I enjoyed this show. It was a quick watch, everyone seemed pretty nice, and episodes didn't have tons of filler. Fills my inexplainable need to watch reality competition shows (can't wait for the next British Bake-Off). I got so mad during the food grill challenge when the guy (sorry bad with names) couldn't understand the challenge. I blame his partner too for not pushing harder. But the whole time, I was confused why they didn't just ask someone to explain.
  11. I liked this episode although I wish they would settle on what Ruby is about. One minute she acts like this young naive girl and the next an old woman (both with an overdone Southern accent). I get she may be trying to adjust but they aren’t spending any time really developing her and her role on the island.
  12. Agreed on feeling bad for Michelle. I've watcher her Tik-Toks and she is funny so I wanted to see more from her - definitely over the animal print sisters. Poor Michelle was super stressed and it was a bit uncomfortable to watch. However, I thought the cloning was a good twist and better than the Joker of last season. Kai needs to be careful though because she is kinda getting into Terilisha territory with me. Her smugness over Orange Michelle was annoying. And I get she couldn't really have known but I hope she feels really bad when she realizes the whole truth. The look on her face at the end of episode 4 was priceless. I felt for Daniel too. I hope he is okay - it looked like he is not handling the stress well. I like him but worry he is not built for this game.
  13. Well, technically they're in the middle. The AGT Save* acts are the people in 4th, 5th, and 6th place. Thanks for pointing this out. I don’t get the shock when they do this. These acts were in the top half. Jimmie probably was 4th in votes so I don’t get the judges horror except as a dramatic ploy. I think the right 5 went through although I would have traded out the magician for someone else. But I knew his story would keep him in.
  14. These seasons aren't really any longer than before but it does feel like All-Stars has been on for 6 months (the same with the regular season before). I think it comes down to there is just too much RPDR on right now. There is no breathing room in between the various seasons and therefore no real anticipation. I'm just getting burned out. I realize I can skip a season or not watch the foreign ones (I really only have watched UK and Australia) but it does suck me in at first and then I have to finish it even though there is little joy. Regarding this episode, TKB really sabotaged herself. I thought she was going to take it all. I don't get the griping over Eureka's return - it happens every season! They should expect that "twist". So, honestly, I'm glad she went because her attitude about it was stank. I get she was worried but she could've pulled it out. I don't think I'd mind any of the remaining queens winning (although Ra'jah is a distant 4th for me). But I agree it will likely be Kylie (with a possible Ginger upset).
  15. Agree with what others are saying. I was worried for Eureka since it seems she had no time to prepare her lip sync since it was right after she was eliminated but maybe she did because she pulled it out. I worry also that it makes a better story to send Silky back into the game even though Eureka won that last one hands down. Of course I also thought Jan and Pandora should win. Guess we’ll see. Even though I enjoyed the performances I wish they had done the showdown each week instead of all at once I think it would’ve help the impact of them to spread it out And I was annoyed at Trinity being offended about the return. This happens every season and they should expect it.
  16. Wow! I really did not enjoy this episode. I just found it boring for some reason. Maybe I just didn't understand the challenge but none of the girls looked like live-action animated characters. I guess I was expecting more cartoony makeup and costumes. And I don't get how the judges struggled to find something negative to say; to me they were all meh. Quick thoughts: TKB looked like a Halloween Furry (and not in a good way) Ginger was...Ginger. Ra'Jah looked like...Ra'Jah. It was like Diana Ross ate Violet Bouregards magic gum Kylie was the Wicked Witch rolled in glitter and bland Eureka was actually the coolest outfit, although again not cartoony or drag tot I also worry that the dragged out (no pun intended) game within a game will be some stupid lip sync challenge with one eliminated player coming back into the game. I'm ready for this season to be over. I like all the queens and won't really be upset at whoever wins at this point.
  17. Sorry, there was another guy inside with them. I forgot about Whiplash but this was some grey dude. I'll update my original post to clarify.
  18. Agree with most here but a couple of things to reiterate: Didn't love SMG as Teela (and I'm a huge Buffy fan). I think it was the voice didn't fit and to me, being a voice actor requires a special skill. It's not always transferable from "real" acting. SMG is a master of facial acting, but not voice acting. Orko and Evil-Lyn was a great dynamic although I don't get why she went with him to his vision place. Yes Mark Hamill is wonderful, but Skeletor sounded like a less insane Joker to me. Good, but not different. As a huge fan of the original and who had all the toys (I still miss my Snake Mountain playset), I wasn't bothered by the story trajectory. Overall, I think it was a bit meh, but I'll watch the second half for sure. One question hopefully someone can answer - who was the fourth person at Snake Mountain with Tri-Clops, Whiplash and Trap Jaw? The grey guy. I feel I should know but I can't remember him. I don't think he spoke.
  19. I can only infer from the lack of discussion here that a lot less people are watching this season which makes me wonder overall if the move to Paramount was worth it. Regarding the episode, I thought the TV show had some good moments, but overall it was really draggy (no pun intended) and most of the performances were meh. The best to me were Pandora and Ginger, which makes sense. I guess the judges didn't want to give them the win because they were expected to do well and it wouldn't provide any drama. Having said that, I absolutely disagree with the winner. I like Kylie fine and she did improve, but she was not the best by any means - on and off the the runway. I feel the producers have their stories they want to tell and don't really care if it matches with what we see on screen. I felt the same about Jan's win; even though she was very good, I feel the win was forced to play out her comeback story (which they shat on the following week). In Untucked, Pandora rightly is worried that her safe-ness could be a problem. I feel the judges for some reason just don't like her. Not saying she should've won this challenge but it is frustrating she gets such little screen time. I guess in UnTucked they had no choice but to show her since it was just she and Trinity in the werkroom. I used to love this show but it has just become a performance show. I miss the days of making costumes and working it on the runway. Now, if you can't sing, dance and act, you can't win and that is not the spirit of being a true drag queen to me.
  20. Episode Description: Even the best queen needs a side hustle, so the All Stars must create commercials to sell their services. Tia Mowry joins as guest judge. I thought the winning team was the right choice. Their commercial was very funny. They other 2 had their moments but I agree with the judges. I actually feel a little bad for Silky. She came into her season trying to be the loudest thinking that would get her screen time and thus fame but it backfired. Now she did the exact opposite and it also failed her. I think she is actually a good person and if she had just been herself she might’ve lasted longer. But guess welll see what happens. I’m ready for this “game within a game” to be revealed at least to the audience. Also, Lastranga tore up that lip sync. Damn!
  21. Yeah she barely had any screen time and that makes me worry a bit. I am a big fan of hers, but she almost looks like she is so uncomfortable being there. The Season 11 queens have really stepped it up as I don't dislike any of them really. Scarlett looks so good this season compared to before. Of course, it could be editing and Silky may be as annoying as ever but I'm enjoying the queens so far.
  22. Maybe the writers have learned from the HIMYM finale debacle and will just let this show go with the flow. I might check it out depending on who the cast is (I tuned in for NPH at first) mainly because I am curious if this will be connected to the original (like Hilary Duff is Ted's now-blond daughter).
  23. I'm all about the nun character and am looking forward to the last 2 episodes. I laugh every time they call the doctor Fiffany because it's such a weird name but this show is supposed to be a bit wonky. Sad she got sent out to pasture (literally). I hope we see more of that cube and maybe others Byron has put there.
  24. I tuned into see Caleb Foote because I loved him in the kids are alright (RIP) so was sad he wasn’t in it more. Still the premise intrigued me. Kind of like an extended Black Mirror episode. Not a huge Ray Romano fan but I’ll tune in for sure
  25. I was wondering that as well so glad to know. It would've been a good callback. Don't remember seeing Tony (Sandra's son) in the episode but I'm not bothered. I'd rather see the other established characters. I imagine Sturgis and Sons will serve that hipster crowd that like to support niche local businesses and Cheyenne/Mateo are good to interact with that grouping. One callback I noticed was the woman asking Jonah/Amy about some medicine. She was there in the pilot too, asking the same type of question.
