  1. In regards to Midge having to trick everyone into giving her double the credit....is Joel not giving her any financial support? I don't think they have ever addressed that but I would think he would be and that it would at least cover the cost of milk?
  2. Wow, lots of unexpected I kind of got that Daniella and Nick would say yes. I almost feel like Nick has realized how unstable Danielle is and how much his rejecting her publicly would devastate her already very fragile state and did her a huge favor. I don't get beard vibes from him. I don't think they will last at all though. I'm only sorry that Deepti wasted that absolutely gorgeous wedding dress on a fake wedding with Shake. She was honestly one of the most stunning brides I have ever seen on any of these reality wedding shows. So glad that she said no and chose herself. Natalie and Shayne could really go either way. I was worried from the pod situation that Natalie would end up heartbroken and I am sad for her that things did not work out. It's also infuriating that a beautiful successful woman like her has to go on a show like this to find love...get your shit together guys (and yes I know it goes both ways), she remains the person that seemed to be the most genuine on the show. I was the least invested in Lyanna and Jarette by the end. I am happy for them both that they said yes and I think they could actually make it work, mostly because it seems like Lyanna is patient AF. Did they purposely leave out tons of footage of Sal and Mal that would have given more of a hint that Sal was on the fence. I wouldn't be surprised because I did not guess at all that he would say no, my money was on Mal. It will be interesting to see what happens with them. My last take aways from this season are that I don't see how the show can go anywhere but down hill from here. I am not THAT naive, I know that people come on this show for exposure, but the premise was great and seemed like if done right could be really good. I am so disappointed to find out that so many of the people on here are trying to get careers out if (I honestly had NO idea that Lauren from last season was already trying to be a social media influencer, it has kind of tainted last season for me). Not sure if I will stick with the show for any more seasons if this is the case. I'm not trying to diss anyone's hustle, but if one of my kids came to me someday and told me they were going to get engaged/potentially marry a stranger on tv for social media followers, I would be incredibly disappointed. I can completely sympathize with Mal's family for wanting no part in that.
  3. Yikes, this show is definitely that train wreck that you can't look away from....just so much yikes. Shayne and Natalie......I feel so much apprehension for Natalie, because unless she does a full 360 later on (which is totally possible), she seems such s a sweet, genuine person who does not at all deserve the shitstorm of drama and heartbreak that she is probably going to have flung her way if she goes thru with marring Shayne. I really hope that I am wrong for her sake but its unlikely. Lyanna and Jarrette....no, just no. Not cool at all. These people go into this all, I need to find that one person who I have the strongest connection to and that I can see spending the rest of my life with. Then you go and propose to one girl have a whole meltdown when she says no and then decide well, I did kind of like this other girl too so I guess I'll go ahead and propose to her now. Nope, there is no going back from that. Lyanna is also one that I feel so bad for because she also seems so nice and deserve way better than being someone's 2nd choice. Mallory and Sal......Mallory's body language was so awkward and cringe the moment that her and Sal met. I think Mallory is the type of girl show has a very specific like and unfortunately Sal is just not it (which is annoying because people that know they are only attracted to a certain type should not go on shows where you can't see the person you end up with). I do find it interesting that this show exposes just how superficial these people are, like when Natalie said that she didn't care what Shayne was going to look lie, I could totally believe it, but Mallory is clearly more superficial than that. Kyle and Shaina are just every kind of wrong.....sadly they will probably be around until the end.
  4. This 100% agree, they all look like they could be on television. However, I do feel like the women are way more attractive than the men and yes looks are completely subjective because I personally think while the guys all look conventionally attractive, I wouldn't personally describe any of them as " Hot as F" like Natalie would say, and that includes Jarrett. The women however are all pretty stunning. Just had to add that my absolute favorite part of this episode was the guys interactions with each other and how supportive and happy they all were for who the other guy ended up with. I could watch an hour of just the guys hanging out and hyping each other up and giving each other advice.
  5. My Star Wars loving heart damn near exploded with the Luke and Ahsoka interaction. Since they first had her appear in The Mandalorian, I was hoping that meant that she would meet up with Luke on her show and I never expected that we would see it now. I'll take what I can get and loved every second of it, but I do wish they had saved it for her show and given us an introduction, with her first meeting him and explaining to him her history with his father. Ahsoka continues to be everything I ever wanted in live action, Rosario Dawson is just killing it in that role. Seeing Cad Bane in live action was awesome. I am wondering now if he might make an appearance in the Obi-Wan series, that would be cool. Those two have some history. I'm betting that Cobb Vance is only wounded though, no way he would go out so unceremoniously. I actually do not see Luke giving Grogu the choice cruel, he is giving him one, which seems pretty progressive for a Jedi. It almost seems like they are setting it up for Grogu to end up being able to choose both though. The chain mail immediately gave me LOTR vibes.
  6. That reference and your comment made me laugh so hard....I recently saw this was on Prime and I hadn't watched it since I was a kid so I put it on. I had to shut it off within the first 10 mins because my 11 year son was in the room. I forgot how bad that movie was.
  7. I can't stand Tory, so I don't feel too bad for her getting fired, but I cannot stand any of the LaRussos (except Daniel of course). Daniel's wife is just the worst and both of their kids are not far off. Johnny may not have the family that Daniel does, but Daniel's family is no prize. The best part of this show is the Daniel and Johnny relationship.....this episode did not disappoint.
  8. I follow Cody on Instagram and he is very funny and positive, but I guess I don't understand the constant comments about how Cody is not being himself on DWTS. He doesn't seem to be any different to me in the snippets that they show of him. That just sounds like excuses. His dance style did not translate well to ballroom, I'm sure that happens and it seems more likely that Cheryl just didn't click with him and has not been able to find a way to help him improve. That's a huge part of this, I mean look at Daniella, she has done wonders with Iman, who was not a dancer at all. I'm super curious about how Cody feels. I know these celebrities go into this knowing that it's more of a popularity contest and are more interested in the exposure and pay that actually winning on merit. It must still be weird to still be in it and know everyone considers you the worst of the bunch and that better dancers than you have gone home. I know a few weeks ago he posted that he had gotten into a funk after reading some critical things about himself online, but then he turned it around in his Cody way. I'm sure he's thrilled at the following he has but I want to believe that if he saw the way that some of his fans act and the things they say, that we would be thoroughly creeped out. I don't think he will win over Jojo. She'd have to have a major fail to even be in danger at this point, her pairing being successful is too important to the show.
  9. I agree with you 100% on the first part. I had to unfollow the group on FB because of how gross the women were acting there. At one point, I think some of them were harassing Carrie Anne on social media until someone told them to knock it off. I kind of agree with you on on why Cody is loved. I think a lot of it also has to do with the group being comprised mostly of bored women who see him as the stereotypical gay best friend that will say and do outlandish funny things that they themselves wish they had the bravery to do and say and get away with it. Cody's whole brand is about living up to that persona because it's what is making him popular. I'm not sure that regular watchers of the show are voting for him. The Boo Crew is just pushing really really hard, there are 50K people in there and they are getting everyone they know to vote whether they are watching the show or not. I'm sure that is resulting in a good amount of votes. The worst part is they know it and are pretty smug about it. At this rate, I hope that Iman and Jimmie outlast him because they are better dancers. Cody's dancing has just not been that great.
  10. I knew nothing about Amanda prior to the show except that she lost her husband to COVID. But even if she was also a ringer based on the feedback she is getting from the judges right now, if she and Jojo were both in the bottom 2, I'd still be willing to bet that Amanda would be the one to go. The discrepancy between how good the judges think Jojo is and how good they think even the next best dancer is, seems to be pretty far apart. I'm not an avid watcher of the show (I haven't actually watched a full season in years), so I'm not aware exactly of how much fan votes vs judges counts or whatever, but if its just up to the judges, she's probably a lock. I think the way Tyra wouldn't shut up about how shocking it was that Jojo was in the bottom 2 made that pretty evident.
  11. The biggest problem with the format of the show is that if they bring in a ringer like Jojo, who is pretty much a full time professional dancer then everyone else is pretty much just dancing for 2nd place. It doesn't matter that she isn't a ballroom dancer, someone who dances for a living has a huge advantage against someone who never dances at all. Regardless of who Jojo is up against in the bottom two, the judges were likely to vote the other couple out. I'm really sad that Miz got voted out because he was not a dancer and he was working so hard and giving it so much. He seemed to truly be having a fun time and I will miss his personality on the show. I love Cody but he's just not that great, at this rate Iman and Jimmie are both much better than he is and unfortunately his crazy cult is probably going to propel him forward. I really do hope every week that he will be eliminated so that it will shut down the cult's smugness. Although the judges better be careful those women will be coming for them in that case. I'm kind of over the Amanda beat downs by the judges. Its jarring to hear all the criticism they give her and then the tongue baths they give Jojo. They don't seem to criticize anyone else as harshly either. I would mind Jojo a lot less if she would tone it down by about 50%. She is so ridiculously over the top, not in a charming way, just complete cringe. I don't care how much she is about positivity, listening to her segments make me want to rip my ears off.
  12. They dont seem cringy, they are cringy. I had to unfollow the group I was in because it feels like a cult at this point. It's too bad because Cody is great, it's just unfortunate that he attracts these kind of fans. I find it hard to root for him because of them. I imagine that most of the people on this show have a following to some degree like this though. I have always loved Grease, it started a life long love of John Travolta for me. It was so hard to listen to them butcher the songs like they did. I know the band there is pretty good but the songs sounded awful! I'm heartbroken Mel C was sent home. It really sucks that this show is in its core a popularity contest. The Spice Girls were big but its been a while and she just wasn't getting the votes. I am hoping Miz stays for a while longer, he's so fun to watch and he has the most charming personality. He is someone that has some how made his very over the top enthusiasm for everything really work for him. Melora is the cutest!
  13. I'm not a fan of dubbing either, but I had to watch this dubbed, I just couldn't sit still enough to burn thru this with subtitles, and I have to say the dubbing for this wasn't not that bad. At least it isn't Money Heist dubbing bad, I'm still haven't watched that one because I refuse to watch it dubbed.
  14. That's it though isn't it....Nate just gave Ted the speech he'd probably like to and possibly needs to give his own father, but would never be brave enough to give him. I absolutely hate that Nate spoke to Ted like that. 1. Because it was complete bullshit and directed at entirely the wrong person. 2. Ted is already dealing with mental health issues and doesn't need someone else's insecurities thrown at him like that. Again, this is something that I feel would have been handled much differently in real life. If I was Beard or Roy I would have given Nate a verbal ass whooping. I don't care that this show thrives on second chances, Nate is pretty much dead to me at this point. There were several moments that really made me smile this episode but I think for the finale, I was left kind of unsatisfied.
  15. It seems so obvious that BAG does not want to be there and is doing this basically for the sake of his relationship with Sharna. All of their talking heads and dances seem so forced. Melora looked amazing tonight, her dance was actually one of my favorites. She's the opposite of BAG, she is seriously trying to do well and looks like she is enjoying herself during every dance. Poor Cody, it really is just terrible luck that he ended up getting COVID and missing Britney night. He is a Britney super fan. Im worried that if he can't be back by next week he may be in trouble. That would make me so sad for him if he didn't even really get a chance to learn and grow and show his talent. I get the hate for Olivia Jade but there are celebrities that have done much worse and have clawed their way back into the limelight. I loved The Miz, he's a really hard worker and is clearly going to give this his all. Their dance had a lot of tricks in it though, I want to see more dancing. Suni was not good, shes still super stiff. I get the dance and song are suggestive but she is starting to look a bit like a mannequin out there.
  16. My 14 year old asked if she could watch this because I guess a bunch of kids at school are watching and talking about it. So I had to watch it first to see if it was ok, thats a big NOPE for her but I did end up binging it all last night. Not so much because I couldn't stop watching but mostly because I just wanted to get thru it. It's obviously very well done. Though I do feel like I was left with so many questions that I feel will never get answered, unless they do end up doing a season 2 and expanding on all of this. Shows like these tend to leave me very frustrated and unsatisfied. Hoyeon Jung is gorgeous, not surprised she was on South Korean Top Model.
  17. I only caught this when I re-watched, such a good line. I still think B99's Backstreet Boys scene is the best use of a boy band song in a tv show, but this was pretty great as well. I'm going to have to agree to disagree with the opinions on the non-reactions to the Sam and Rebecca. It wouldn't be realistic for the reactions to all be negative either, but someone has to be thinking about the obvious repercussions for this and voicing them. And yes, Sam is absolutely the Mary Sue of this show, he has been since season 1. It's always worked for him though. I do think the show tends to be all over the place with him sometimes, they want him to appear to be incredibly mature for his age but then also present him to be very young and innocent. He answers a call to his father with "Hello, Daddy," (and not that there's anything wrong with a grown man calling their father that, its that the show clearly did it for a the reason of making him appear a certain way) one episode and then he's sleeping with him boss in another. Trent Crimm must be loving Richmond more than ever for all the writing opportunities they are creating for him. Ted better get a win soon, I feel like this season has been doing their darnedest to break him.
  18. Of all the unrealistically handled things on TV, Ted and Rebecca's conversation about Sam was the most unrealistic. The owner of a club tells the head coach that she is sleeping with one of the players and the head coach is all "omg I love it, right on." Sure. I get that Ted and Rebecca are pals and that Ted is a completely upbeat person who sees the positive side of everything but that shouldn't mean he can't be honest and realistic about things and should have told Rebecca that it was very unprofessional and could cause issues for the club, the team and Sam. I'm not a fan of that relationship at all but what bothers me the most is how everyone has been made to act like it is no big deal. That is 100% not at all the way that things would go. This is also one of those situations where if the genders were reversed...people would not be cheering things on as they are. At this point I am on the fence about Roy and Keeley. I would be thrilled if they were meant to be together but if they need to break up a bit and then reconnect down the line or if they need to be with different people then I'm ok with that. I just want Roy to be happy. Juno is so beautiful, why did they make her hair look like that in the scene with the conversation with Roy. She looked like she had hair plugs or a bad wig on. I love Dr. Sharon and Ted so much....don't make her leave! Edited because I forgot to add that Nate is the absolute worst. I really hope that in this case they allow Ted to break from his persona a bit a react appropriately, with anger.
  19. There was a show on Netflix about kid ballroom dancers and in competitions there was a whole category with girl/girl partners, so I don't find this to be as life changing as they claim it to be. I actually think having two women together makes for some really beautiful choreography, but I have one word to describe Jojo's dance style: Frenetic. In my opinion it is not enjoyable to watch at all. I thought Christine was the worst on Bling Empire (Geez I watch too much TV!) and I can't get past that so I hope she goes soon. I like Iman, I find The Mix to be cute as hell, I'm a fan of Cody and hope he goes far. The women seem to be doing better by far in these early episodes. If this was about actual dancing ability, based on just the last 2 dances, I would like to see Amanda and Mel C in the top 3. I know that Jojo is guaranteed to make it to the end though, and I doubt 3 women will be the last ones standing, so it will be interesting to see which of the guys steps it up.
  20. Tried to watch its and had to turn in off half way thru....I can't stand Ariana, not sorry at all. Also it seems like the backstories are getting longer and longer. I often wonder, what if you were an absolutely incredible singer but you don't have a story to tell then what? The back and forth with the judges also have gotten longer, and while at times entertaining mostly start to get awkward.
  21. I remember "Miz" from the Real World, I was a teen and obsessed with MTV. I am actually really happy for him that he made that work and has turned it into a successful career. I think he was very cute and enthusiastic in his first dance but he's not a natural dancer and I don't expect him to stay to the end. Here's my thing with "influencers" they become famous because they attract a lot of the worst kind of people. I'm taking obsessive insane people, and its these people that end up making them rich and famous. I have a Peloton so I take Cody's classes often. He's actually a really awesome instructor and has a great personality. Don't underestimate his following! There's a group on facebook of mostly women who are fans of him, and to say that they are crazy is an understatement. They are already claiming he is the best dancer to have ever danced on the show, blaming Cheryl for the fact that he didn't score better, claiming he was wearing bike shoes (to clip into the bike) and had an unfair dis-advantage. Before the show even aired they were voting in droves, its insane! I'm rooting for Mel C although I think this season has a lot of talent in it and everyone had a pretty good showing for their first dance (except for Martin Kove). Nothing can touch the Spice Girls nostalgia for me. Sporty was always my favorite.
  22. I had front row seats to this same scenario with the roles reversed. I found it icky then and I find it icky now. I agree that this is probably not end game and I just don't see how this ends well for Rebecca. Roy Kent continues to be the very best part of this show. I curse a ton so I felt really connected to him during his talk with Phoebe. My kids haven't started to mimic my behavior thank goodness, but I think he handled that conversation beautifully. I absolutely love that in that moment with Jaime he is the one that reacted with what Jaime most needed in that moment and that regardless of their history he didn't hesitate to comfort him. The pre-game confession was amazing. My favorite bit was definitely Beard confessing that he was high at a game and Roy knowing exactly which game it was. My heart broke for Ted. I think the actress that plays Dr. Sharon is beautiful.
  23. Let's be honest, every character on this show sucked to some degree. Mark, Nicole and Shane were the cliche rich people full of elitism. They were a prime example of money not being able to buy happiness. I really don't understand the "Poor Kai's". He made the choice to commit a crime, he was stealing and then he decided to assault someone. He got caught so he will receive punishment for that. That is how that works. You do the crime, you do the time. I don't understand this thinking that because he is suffering from some injustice he should have clearance to steal from people and get away with it. Paula was beyond exhausting. It doesn't make sense for someone with such strong convictions about social injustice would choose to be friends with and vacation with a wealthy white family that stands for everything she absolutely hates. Her behavior was incredibly gross. Belinda was ready to get as far away from Tanya as possible until she actually believed that Tanya was going to help her with start a Spa business. The attention she paid Tanya was fully based on self interest and it back fired on her. Quinn actually wasn't so bad but he's still young and unfortunately growing up in the family he's in there's probably not much hope that he will turn out to be a decent person. The whole thing with Shane and Armond was also exhausting. As much as Shane was an asshole, Armond pretty much instigated the entire situation by lying about the room in the first place, then he continued to do awful unprofessional things to continue to escalate the situation. Armond and Olivia were the absolute worst out of the bunch. Rachel was so boring, I couldn't care less about what happens with her character and honestly would have found the show more interesting had it actually been her in the coffin at the end rather than Armond.
  24. I though this was good, but I'm a sucker for alien invasion movies. This movie recycled a lot of used plots from other movies but it was still interesting and the Whitespikes were a formidable enough enemy that the movie held my attention. I like Chris Pratt and think its great that he has come so far. He was so great on Parks and Rec. He's not hard to look at and he's incredibly charismatic, it is too bad that he seems to be stuck in this niche acting wise. A few questions though - - Did they ever find out what happened that caused the jump to go wrong? That was the most horrible thing to watch, all of those people dying on impact and never even getting a chance to survive. Yikes! - If Arthur was ex military why did it take him so long to get drafted? I admit I don't know anything about how the draft actually works but wouldn't they want people with experience before taking just random folks? This does make me understand the whole not showing them the enemy bit though (as ridiculous as that was). I can imagine them having a lot more issues with people complying to the draft if they knew just how deadly the enemy they were going to fight really was. - Was it just me or did they imply that his "accident" when he was scheduled to die in his timeline was not just an "accident"? The government must have been majorly in debt if they were losing so many people in this war but offering their dependents $1 million pretax. Once the aliens were defeated that was going to be an interesting situation. The most annoying part of the movie for me was the group coming back and figuring out how to stop the aliens and performing the task themselves without the government doing anything about it. I know the world was in disarray but come on....so they didn't have a huge elite group of people working on solutions in the present time....had they drafted all of them. A high school kid figures out, in a matter of mins, where and when the aliens probably showed up.....and the government still hadn't figured that out. Thats just the laziest of lazy writing.
  25. THERE.IS.NEVER.ENOUGH.GLENN I just discovered this show and am hooked, I binged watched up to season 8 so far. I'm not sure if this will get me boo'd out of here but I find both Mary Fred and Rosie to be utterly boring. I would have preferred Wayne to have stuck it out with Tanis a bit more. It's too bad that Dierks turned out to be a lying liar who lies, I really wanted some happy times for Katy. I'm an American whose kids and husband all play hockey, so I absolutely love the Jonesy and Reilly hockey talk. Dylan Playfair is on the Mighty Ducks: Game Changers on Disney+, love seeing him on both shows, each aimed at a very different audience. I can't wait for club hockey to start this falls so that I can scream "Wheels, Snipe, Celly" during my kids games!
