I'd alway been aware of One Piece even though none of my kids have really been into it, I remember one Halloween someone at our school dressed as Luffy and I immediately recognized the costume. My daughter started watching this and then raved about it to me, so now I am watching it with my two other children. I love the whole world built around this story, it has turned out to be must watch tv for our family, everyone enjoys it. All of the main and supporting characters are great, but my absolute favorite is Luffy, he is the perfect blend of innocence and positivity, find him to be utterly charming and sweet. He is just adorable. We ended up watching the first episode of the Anime to compare the two shows. I appreciate how faithful the live action is to the original and I am grateful that they reined Luffy in a bit, his anime version tends to do a lot of screaming (a trait I find common and exhausting in a lot of Anime). I was immediately turned off from the Anime when I found out how many episodes there are: 1000+. I'm not sure how that is even possible but its about 900 too many for me. I'm looking forward to more seasons of the live action but hope that it reaches a resolution much quicker than the original version.

Saw this with a group of mom friends last weekend and we all laughed thru it and really enjoyed it. I love a female lead comedy, though I do think the premise of the girls trip where all the things go wrong to be very over done. As tends to happen in these movies, there were a couple of scenes that were so over the top that they took me out of the movie. The main actors were all wonderful though. I am officially in love with Stephanie Hsu and hope to see her in many more roles in the future.

The principal just high fives Freddy and lets the bullies walk away after they physically assault him and damage his private property that he very much needs for his mobility. Zero judgment but I did not find it funny, and I had a hard time caring about the movie after that. I'm sure there was some kind of comeuppance for the bullies at the end, but I just wasn't even paying attention anymore.

BINGO! I was coming in here to say just this, I think Paul forced out the word "nurturing" because it was the safest way to describe her without having him made out to be even worse than he was. Vanessa was doing her very best to paint Paul into a corner where he would say something that would put him in a bad light and he was doing his best to verbally dodge her.

I couldn't stop myself from watching this today... I think all of the guys were very attractive in their own ways this season, to each their own but, I actually think Paul was the best looking guy of the bunch. And YES, Zach looks a lot like Ben Affleck with the beard. I think I say this every season, Nick and Vanessa Lachey are the worst thing about this show, it sucks that the shows popularity (which likely has nothing to do with them) is keeping them comfortably employed. They add nothing to the show and they are terrible interviewers. Vanessa lets her bias get in the way of getting answers from the contestants about their behavior every single season. Her aggression towards Paul, who was trying to be honest and articulate in answering her questions, was not a good look. Micah re: her friend Shelby...."she never wanted me to get hurt." Micah please re-watch the footage of your buddy smirking triumphantly as you run off crying. I think Kwame said all of the right things in his apology for his conversation with Micah. Could it possibly be rehearsed, sure, I hope it wasn't for Chelsea's sake. I was rooting for them in the beginning but it seems like they were not as sure a bet as they seemed to be at first. So happy for Tiffany & Brett and Zach & Bliss. Zach was not there for Irina's BS and I loved watching it, and the solidarity between him and Bliss. I hate to say it but I think Irina looked very nice at the reunion as did Tiffany and Bliss. Micah and Chelsea were terribly styled...their make up in particular did not do them any favors. I had Jackie's number from the moment that she started crying in the pods because she told Marshall about Josh, my feelings about her solidified when she was doing nothing but creating drama and shit talking in Mexico. Team Marshall all the way over here. I almost wonder if production thought it best that Jackie and Josh not attend the reunion....a meeting between Josh, Marshall and Jackie seemed like it would have the potential to get really ugly.

I ended up watching this on a plane and it was so bad. Allison Williams is such a terrible actress. She was easily the worst part of the whole film and was out shown by the girl playing Cady. If I was a board member during that presentation with M3GAN I would have been like NOPE, nope to the singing, nope to the creepy looking face on that doll, nope to all of it.

Right, not sure that would ever be allowed, seems like a huge HR violation. I still do not like Sassy.....not having my mind changed on that. Yes, Juno looks very gaunt this season, it struck me from episode 1. Seeing Jaime with no bottoms was the very best thing about this episode. Roys reaction and his casually asking about it was the 2nd best thing. Michelle is the absolute worst. I am glad that they had Ted tell her something, of course in his Ted way he made an impact though I wish he would have said more about how awful it is that she is dating their therapist. He definitely has an infinite amount more restraint than I do. I did not like that smile that Michelle had at the end..... Zava letting his kids name themselves and their names being ridiculous was hilarious. I'm starting to wonder if maybe Zava will be the one to out Colin. Colin seems to like making jokes about being gay that he knows the others will just brush off as jokes but maybe Zava will pick up on it and say something. Then maybe that is what will make the team turn on him? I'm not sure though because Zava seems pretty open minded that he wouldn't care about something like that...I just don't see Trent or any of the other players doing it. Ted is a mess but so is almost everyone on this show, Beard, Roy, Rebecca......lots of folks that are "work in progmesses." :)

I noticed it too. I'm not going to be surprised when they hook up or when we learn that Trent has, I dunno, two kids from a previous marriage or is a single dad. Wasn't there a line about Trent having a daughter? In season 1 maybe, when Higgins comes back after quitting, Ted goes to Rebecca's office to deliver her biscuits and he gives Higgins a box of truffles he made and says that they were for Trent's daughter's birthday. He does say he's kidding but then Higgins opens the box and says that they were definitely for a little girl. That was this show right, or am I remembering that incorrectly.

Yes, I have to agree. Im going to be optimistic and hope that there isn't a repeat of the Sam and Rebecca relationship. I didn't like Michelle from day 1 and now I dislike her even more. How gross that she is dating their marriage counselor. I'm sure this kind of thing does happen all the time, but still, how unethical and icky. It's got to be bad enough for Ted to know that that this man that was made privy to a lot of very personal information about his marriage is now dating his ex-wife but the jerk is also hanging out with his kid now more often than he can because he is so far away. I can't wait to watch Roy train Jaime, I love their dynamic. I get the feeling that Shandy is a ticking time bomb.....I think the "hire your best friend advice" that Rebecca gave Keeley is going to end up blowing up some how. I'm also not a fan of Sassy.....she's so over the top all the time. She seems like she would be an exhausting person to be around. I also firmly believe that the fact that she and Ted hook up so much squashes any chances of Ted ever having a relationship with Rebecca. I don't ship Ted and Rebecca at all, but I know a lot of people do....I just don't think it will ever happen.

She grew up with insecurities because of her acne, she clearly still has hang-ups because she definitely flaunts her body and uses in a way that suggest she needs that kind of validation to cover up that she might still be self conscious about her face, but even having gone thru all that she is a major superficial turd.

And I'm out. These women are absolutely awful. The way they were talking about Zach was horrible. There is not a single person to root for this season. And I'm lumping Tiffany in this for being an absolute coward, one for just sitting there and letting the other two say all that stuff about Zach and for also not being honest when Jackie totally flipped sides on the Kwame/Chelsea situation. Gross.

I think Bliss and Irina are just as bad and Zach would be better off without either of them. I don't like the cattiness that they are showing this season. I have no idea if there has always been this level of cattiness in the past but this season just seems way over the top with it. I don't like that they talk about each other in the pods and are actively trying to sabotage someone's chances with someone else. It just makes the fact that these people or in this for very different reasons than genuinely finding love much more obviously. I think Jackie is a hypocrite. I'm not sure what she was expecting when she decided to tell Marshall what she was told privately during another date. She was clearly trying to get a reaction out of him and then she starts crying after because she feels bad that he reacted. Also, Marshall's reaction was a bit of a red flag, I actually think the way the other guy (can't remember his name because he hasn't been featured up till now) handled it was very mature. Paul is absolutely adorable. I hope Micah doesn't chew him up and spit him out because I have a feeling there's some bad stuff waiting in the wings with that one. I actually think Kwame and Chelsea seem like they would be a great fit. They both seem like mature and thoughtful people who would give this a real shot.

Same. I find the women that Joe decides to fall into obsession with so uninteresting. Beck was so desperate, I absolutely hated Love and Marienne is so boring. I also can't stand how corny Joe gets when he is in "love." I always prefer the women he ends up hooking up with but isn't stalking (Karen, Delilah). I thought this season was a major improvement. Having Rhys be the ETRK was kind of a let down though, I was hoping it would be Kate as that would be so much more interesting (though I guess it would have been too much of a rehash of Love so I understand why they didn't), or Phoebe because that would have been the least expected. Looking forward to the second half of the season.

Brian is an example of why the first thing you probably need to learn in an apocalyptic society is never to trust anyone. He already tried to fake an injury in order to rob you, then tried to kill you when you resisted, and once he is hurt and dying, he starts crying for his mom, which at that point could just be another act to try and get you to let your guard down. Zero sympathies for Brian. The most real thing about him is that he was willing to do absolutely everything to survive in the end. Agree, maybe not yet quite unhinged, but completely clouded by anger and a need for revenge....not at all an effective leader. I mean she has her 2nd in command showing her a very significant threat and urging her to make if a priority and she's all "later" because first she needs to avenger her brother. That opening in the ground totally did not all seem like it was going to become an immediate issue. I do love Melanie Lynskey, so I'm happy to see her in this show. I am here for the zombie stuff.....bring on some crazy mushroom zombies please.

I agree. Based on the way the world is split on this, and how both Zanab and Cole get dragged depending on that split, I think Cole knew he was walking into a difficult situation. Especially based on the fact that the majority of this group (All the women, and Brennen are not just Team Zanab but also can be pretty douchy to Cole to his face for absolutely no reason....like Brennen). I don't fault him whatsoever for being uncomfortable and acting very awkwardly because of it. In any normal situation, a person would be able to separate himself form a situation in order to heal and work on himself. Unfortunately because of this show and its need to continue to create situations like this, he will never be able to get away from this, and the thing is it wasn't all his fault. Zanab shares in the blame for what happened but she gets to show up to things with the full support of all of her girlfriends who are looking out for her. I think it is great that Alexa has the self confidence to wear a dress like that. I think though that unfortunately there are times when it is just not the right dress for you or for the occasion. Both Alexa and Nancy are very beautiful women but they have absolutely terrible style and they sometimes wear things that just do not do them any favors.

I'm so annoyed at this show, the world continues to drag Cole for what happened during the season but all of Bartise and Matt's shitty behaviour was completely swept under the rug and is forgotten UGH....yet here I am. I'm not a fan of Brennan anymore like I was at the beginning of the show. I find it hilarious that Alexa's dad made the comment about how Alexa definitely runs that relationship. The only person I can root for at this point is Raven. Nancy seems like a really nice person, and a very savy business woman, she deserves better and I wish she wouldn't let the show drag her down this production driven stuff with Bartise.

I disagree, what good is deafening one clicker if you essentially alert any others in the area of your presence.

I was worried that Tess's sprained ankle would actually be something else. I was sad to see her have to sacrifice herself because she was infected. The chart from last week showed the time to full infection from a leg or foot bite was 12-24 hours, Tess seemed to be showing signs pretty quickly, and her hand was already trembling. Ellie is already starting to bug me in the same way that most kids/teens in apocalypse movies/shows always do, because they still don't seem to take dangers seriously enough and think it's ok to mess around. I get that it is a kid thing, but still. She sure got scared straight though. If the Clickers (which are terrifying and appropriately named) rely on hearing, you would think they would have thought of better ways to kill them, or different weapons by now to deal with then. The reliance on shooting off a ton of gun shots, making a whole lot of noise and wasting a whole lot of bullets seems to not be the best idea. They did seem really hard to kill though...and now there is the whole hive mind as well. It's a wonder that Joel and his brother have made it 20 years in this new world. I'm dying to learn more about the infected....like why some of them dry up and "die" while others live forever. What makes a Clicker vs any other type of infected. If the infected "want" to spread the infection, why would they tear someone apart rather than just bite them and let the cordyceps to its job? Hope we keep getting a steady stream of info. I've never been to Boston and now its on top of my list of places to visit. Even mostly destroyed it looked beautiful.

This was good. I'm a huge fan of zombie lore (even though I quit TWD when Andrew Lincoln left), so I am very excited to see more. I had never heard of the game, so it's all new to me. I knew Sarah was going to die based on the fact that she wasn't featured in the promotional images but her death was still tragic and sad. I was expecting that it was going to turn out that she caught the virus from the neighbors which was going to make Joel feel guilty forever since he sent her over there. I don't think the soldier didn't believe them that she wasn't sick, I think it was more orders from the top to contain the spread and therefore not let anyone leave type of thing, which is still terribly. It's interesting that their plan was going to be go to Mexico....I can't imagine things would have been going much better there. And that's the question in a situation like this, where do you possibly go. I've always thought in this case it would be best to get somewhere cold. Not sure if that would work here though, since this is fungal. On another note, one zombie troupe I can't with is the extremely super humanly fast zombies. That's one thing I always appreciated about TWD, zombies moved realistically. These guys were a bit fast for my taste. Seeing some of the upcoming stuff though, it definitely does not look like these are the typical kind of zombies though....it seems more of a mutation occurs. I'm guessing Ellie won't be immune but there will be more to it......again I know nothing about the game so I'm not trying to spoil anything, but I wonder if it's more her body somehow being able to stall the effects or even work symbiotically with the fungi. The scariest part of this type of scenario is seeing how terribly people handle these things and how bad society gets. I am sure we are going to see some messed up things (we kind of did already....public hangings and all) being done by people in the name of survival.

My husband and I had this on our Netflix lists along with Bullet Train, we decided to watch Bullet Train one night. I actually expected this to be really good based on what I have read, which is partially why I had agreed to watch it 2nd. We both loved Bullet Train.....but boy was this boring. I actually had to keep going back because I would miss chucks of dialogue when I lost focus. It look me almost twice as long to watch the entire thing. It was completely predictable that it was Miles from the get go. The twin "twist" was so tedious, I spent most of the movie hoping something surprising would happen and that it wouldn't be Miles, or that Andi maybe had faked her death and was pretending to be her sister...there just had to be more to it. I'm insulted that they had Kathryn Hahn in this movie and gave her basically nothing to do. The only really memorable role was Kate Hudson, and it pains me to say it because I'm not a fan of hers in general. The whole sweatpants email bit was pretty hilarious.

Agree, I was immediately annoyed with her, she was so smug in the beginning. This movie was so intense, my stomach hurt by the middle of it. I think it was most interesting how Slownik revealed how terrible they all were, first by having the men abandon the women immediately to save themselves the first chance they got, then when the pretend Coast Guard guy showed up, they were willing to rick his life to save themselves. Maybe that is why they all were so willingly went to their deaths. I'm not sure I by it though, these people did terrible things for their own self gain, to think they suddenly developed a conscience and decided to die for their sins is extremely idealistic.

My husband was passed out next to me, woke up during the scene with Lev and Wilf and said, "that guy looks like Tony Stark." LOL

I don't think I have felt this kid of disgust towards a child character on a tv show in a long time. The daughter is an insufferable nightmare. Regardless of what kind of a narrator Toby is, his ideals do not at all seem to line up with the daughters gross behavior, so I'm assuming that comes from Rachel and it does not portray her in the best light.

Absolutely. I was telling the husband while watching this that I am so glad we were not born during this time period. We ended up dubbing this show The Most Extreme Version of Oregon Trail Ever Played. That poor Mennonite family. It's sad to think of all these immigrants children who had no choice but to follow their families to these new places and if they survived they were often orphaned and had to witness horrible atrocities. I guess its even sadder that not much has changed in all of these years.
