  1. This was so good. I am sad that there are no other comments yet, I am so interested to know what others think. I think Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer are amazing in this. I was completely captivated from episode one.
  2. So many questions..... I wanna know why if the men died in Victory they died in the real world, but Bunny told Alice they were going to kill her in the real world (so they couldn't just kill her in Victory). Why did it work differently for the men than the women? I wish we saw more of the real world and less of Victory. What were these men doing to pay for Victory? Were the men chosen to be participants targeted by Frank.....I noticed that Jack's psychiatric test results were "fair". Also, was he in the military? He had trouble with employment, so was he a disgruntled vet? Did Frank purposely seek out men who had trauma and difficulty in normal society. What was the deal with the red plane? Was it a glitch in the programming. Margery had a red plane she clutched and then Alice saw the red plane go down, but how did it tie into things? This also had a bit of an involuntary Ready, Player One vibe to it. I've never been a fan of singers turned actors just on the virtue of their celebrity. Harry Styles is a very talented performer, and he is nice to look at but he is not a great actor and it's annoying that he keeps being propped up as though he is.
  3. Spanish was my first language growing up, I refer to my mother as "mama" but if I'm in a conversation with someone about mothers and they are using the word "mom", I don't correct to "mama" I'll just say "mom". It sounded a bit forced and overly emphasized at times, I wondered if it was genuinely a UK thing.
  4. Yeah first time I did not like Brennon, his constant interjecting about Cole was just immature and stupid. ZERO talk about Matt's psychotic behavior but Cole gets absolutely ripped apart. I am starting to see why Cole might have thought that Zanab was bipolar.....I think there is definitely something there. It make me so sad to have to say this as a woman but she needs help. I am glad to see these women sticking together but the way they ganged up on Cole was awful. Here is why I don't believe Zanabs side of things, and why I cannot stand Vanessa Lachey and her "He did that?" BS reactions. There is no way that they showed all of Matt's crazy behavior but intentionally held back all of the footage Zanab claims there is of Cole being a horrible horrible person. That sounds incredibly unlikely. That cuties conversation was eye opening on how much of an unreliable narrator Zanab is. Side note....did Zanab purposely say Mum instead of Mom all the time just to drive home that said "Mum" is British? I am not criticizing, she just did it a lot, and I'm curious. Sk and Raven were my favorites in the end, so happy for them. Bartise is still awful and not as hot as he thinks. Nancy deserves someone who truly loves her, but her look tonight was not doing her any favors. Colleen blink twice if you are being held hostage!
  5. Nancy and Bartise's wedding was 100% predictable. And frankly I don't feel bad at all that Nancy's family decided to confront Bartise on the spot the way they did. I think the brother was actually pretty tame all things considered. They haven't even watched the show but I imagine their rage when they see the way that Bartise had been treating Nancy and that he told her he wasn't attracted to her physically weeks before the wedding. Brennon's vows were the best I've heard on this show so far, he's a good one. I am glad that he and Alexa were this season's success story and I hope that they last. Zanab is a shifty one. Standing there spouting all these lovely things just waiting for the right moment to tear Cole down in front of everyone. She thought he needed to be told some things she should have waited to do it in private...it honestly looked really vindictive and gross. It wouldn't surprise me if she had been holding on to this from the moment that he told her she was a 9 and ranked Colleen higher than her. Speaking of Colleen - I stand by the fact that I think Colleen would have said yes to ANYONE in the pods. She just wanted to get a proposal. I don't even know if its acting of if she is truly that desperate. I just feel sorry for her that it lead her into a relationship that might genuinely not be safe for her. Both their families were adorable in their emotional and enthusiastic reactions.
  6. Eudoria seems completely uninterested in Sherlock and Mycroft. They are men, the world is made for them so no need for her to fight any cause on their behalf. I didn't miss Mycroft at all, though I didn't read the books so I'm not sure if he should have a bigger role. I really liked this, I think it worked well as a sequel, the match girls plight was compelling and I enjoyed all the new characters. Henry Cavil is so FINEEEEEE! I very much enjoyed his expanded role, he works incredibly well as the brooding Sherlock and his moments of showing that he really cares for Enola were great.
  7. I had this question episodes ago when he first mentioned it. Why would they put him through on this show, it was only bound to cause a major obstacle. They had a couple on Married At First Sight, the woman is a doctor and she got a job offer in a different state. I am not sure it if happened while filming though as it was during Covid. They ended up staying married in the end and the husband followed her to her new job. Not sure if they are still together though and it seemed super unlikely that he was willing to do that. I had already marked them as a No based on this alone but I honestly thought that it would be Raven saying no. They did surprise me with it being SK. I am betting Bartise says no. In fact I'm at the point based on the couples and the previews, that I do not think any of them will say yes. All of the couple will end in failure and Nick and Vanessa can shove it. Though maybe they are going to pull to totally switch from the editing and Colleen and Matt will say yes.
  8. So glad that this is back. My kids and I jumped right into watching. I liked the aged up version of all of the kid characters. Though they seemed to have toned down Rayla's accent a bit, she was a lot less Merida from Brave sounding this season. I liked this season but there were quite a few things that were just off. I really hope we don't have to wait years for next season.
  9. Having a teen daughter this was one of the scariest things I've watched recently. The scenes of Tifani being repeatedly sexually abused the way she was were horrifying. It boggles the mind that young men/boys could be so evil. Hearing her crying out in pain and then begging Dean to wait, were stomach churning. I think having the assault and shooting worked in this case because it put Ani in an even more difficult place narratively. It is hard enough for victims to come forward and turn in their assailants but how do you do it if they are cruelly murdered and one is wounded beyond repair. Arthur put Ani in an even worse position. He wasn't wrong when he was pushing her to come forward and put an end to the boys bullying and bad behavior, but by killing them he turned them from monsters into martyrs.
  10. Did Nancy say that the property she showed Bartise would earn 6-9K per month?! How.....they aren't even in NY or CA.....is someone in FW really going to rent a home - and it's not even that big or nice - for that much? I know nothing about TX real estate but that sounded insane. SK is so laid back and chill, which is great. However, speaking from experience when you are a more high energy person (and I'm not even as high energy as Raven), and you are used to getting a lot of attention (which I'm not either), it can be very frustrating when your partner is so quiet and low key. I can see this becoming something that is very difficult for Raven to deal with. Also, SK's mom is beautiful. Not sorry at all but people who claim to never wear anything more than one sound so pretentious, what a wasteful and completely unnecessary elitist thing.
  11. I interpreted it totally different. I think she was not "ready" and he was going at it for 2 full mins just trying to shove it in there, and that it was uncomfortable until she got him to slow his roll and let her get in the mood more. Honestly I find it crazy that they go into such details about it on television for the whole world to hear This is different than we had sex x amount of times its a bit TMI. Zanab is way too insecure. She is absolutely gorgeous without her make up on, she would have looked amazing with no make up and a messy bun and actually enjoying the pool rather than standing on the sides because she had gotten all made up and couldn't even go in the water. No amount of anyone telling her that is going to make a bit of a difference though until she believes it herself. I could see how her constant questioning and making comments about it would grate on her partners nerves, I can see Cole internally gritting his teeth anytime she rebuffs his compliments or brings up that it's the make up that makes her look good. Nancy is giving me young, Fool's Rush In era, Salma Hayek vibes. She is what a large majority of people think of when they think hot Latina, she would probably garner just as much attention as Raven in any setting so I absolutely loathe that Bartise is acting as though Nancy cannot hold a candle to Raven. Nancy you are freaking gorgeous and worthy of all the love you deserve girl! I really respect Raven for what she said about Bartise, good for her! Does anyone know where the infinity pool scenes were filmed. I looked up Calamigos and I don't think that that particular spot is part of that property. It looked pretty amazing.
  12. I agree with your whole post but these two in particular. I was really rooting for Alexa and Brennon, I was hoping they would be the Nick and Danielle of this season. Alexa though already seems like she's not in to the relationship at all. Her evasive responses to his compliments are very annoying ("Im so in love with you," "Are you", "You are so gorgeous", "Am I"), if I was Brennon I would be seeing major red flags. I am wondering if she is not as attracted to him as she seemed to be when they first met. Colleen and Matt seem like they are the best fit. I do not see the appeal of Raven at all. She seems incredibly high maintenance and like no one would ever please her except for older rich men who could buy her affection. Maybe that is what she meant by service industry: escort? Poor Nancy, I honestly did not expect Bartise to be such an ass. Not sure how someone comes back from that so early on in the experiment. Cole I fully expected to be a complete A and he is definitely living up to expectations.
  13. Let the hate watching begin. Already I sense this is the absolute cringiest group yet. And of course a show called Love is Blind has only incredibly attractive people on it, and look how progressive they even included a non thin incredibly attractive person. Good for Alexa though for being like F this, I like food. Same girl, same. Worst of the guys by far - Andrew and Cole. I can bet these 2 are definitely going to be matched but I really wish they would just cut them loose, they are going to make some poor girl miserable. That sex conversation from Andrew was so cringy.....I would have backed out of that room immediately. Poor Nancy seems to be trying way too hard. None of these people seem to even be trying to ACT like they are on this show for its actual purpose.
  14. Not sure what choice she had if her husband didn't want to give it more of an effort. He seems to have it pretty good, and acts as though he is perfectly happy to claim and raise children he knows are not his. He doesn't even have to suffer any consequences because everyone will just blame his wife, even when they probably very aware of his proclivities. It's interesting to compare her to Cersei. I seem to remember that Robert didn't really want to sleep with her either and enjoyed having many girls on the side (and producing all kinds of heirs with other people). Not sure anyone was whispering about Robert and calling it treason though. Stupid misogyny.
  15. Seriously, Joffrey, true to his namesake, was too dumb to live. Laenor and Rhaenyra haven't even been married yet and he immediately goes to Ser Criston to what, blackmail him, what an idiot. I wasn't sad to see his exit....though it was unpleasant. I'm in the camp that does not think that Ser Criston caught feelings. I think Rhaenyra put him in a difficult position. He definitely went to bed with her willingly but even if he didn't want to would he have been able to refuse her without possibly suffering the consequences down the line. He is clearly very loyal to his position and having major buyers remorse. I'd say his is mourning his lost dignity more than not having the princess. Daemon's wife seemed great and then of course they killed her right away. The one great thing about this show versus GOT is that everyone here is awful, there is no one to root for or get particularly attached to. This is probably a good thing knowing how these shows go.
  16. You all are nice. I want to give the girl the benefit of the doubt because she was the outsider coming into this group and was likely nervous, but her behavior was pretty cringy. She was trying way too hard to stand out. I will say that I will never buy that Mallory loved Sal.....I don't think anything in the way she acted ever made it seem that way. Jessi definitely seems into Sal. What the heck is the deal with Deepti and Kyle. So they like each other but they are just friends...I'm so confused by them. I think someone isn't being honest and isn't as interested in the other as they say they are. Danielle still seems like such an unhappy person putting an act on for the cameras, her body language always reads as incredibly uncomfortable with everything.
  17. I really like Jenna Coleman, even though I do not know her from Doctor Who as I've never watched that (gasp!). I'm not sure if I enjoyed her as "Constantine." Her sarcastic, street smart, con artist portrayal might be true to Constantine traits from the Comics that I am not familiar with, my only other exposure to the character is from the KR movie. It just seems based on Constantine's backstory that he/she would be a bit more "hard," sort of cranky, world weary and haunted.....I didn't get that from Jenna, even after they shared her nightmare. Maybe more of that will come as she appears in more episodes. Also, in regards to Constantine's nightmare, that was disturbing.
  18. If it was that easy every single child/adult who grows up in abusive relationships with narcissistic parents wouldn't suffer from unresolved trauma all their lives. People in these situations do far worse just so that Mommy or Daddy will love them. I completely buy Alex feeling incredibly guilty/conflicted about keeping Morpheus being imprisoned but still going along with killing the bird just on the off chance that maybe this will make his dad proud/acknowledge him/show him some affection/etc. That felt very true to real life. It doesn't excuse him at all but his motivations make sense. I guess I didn't really understand Paul's motivation in the end to help Morpheus escape, Im sure he was over Alex's cowardice and who knows maybe he was ready for Alex to move on, but then he seemed so shocked when Alex was trapped in the restless sleep. What exactly did he think was going to happen? I read this thread before even starting the show (I didn't want to commit until I knew if it was actually going to keep my interest) and I have to say I was very confused watching this episode. Gregory was very cute but he was on screen for less than a min, is a CGI mythical creature and you could tell it was CGI, and his "death" was in no way gruesome at all....I almost felt like I missed something. Reading this was not in the comics though, I agree with the thought that it was meant as a way to prove that Morpheus isn't some sadist and cares about his subjects/creations. I thought The Fates were great and that portion of the episode added some welcome levity, but also gave Morpheus more personality, it was funny having him get reprimanded each time he kept asking more questions than he was allowed.
  19. The asset was the big robot that Adult Erin had to pilot right? That is about the extent of how much I understood. I agree the KJ stuff was super obvious. I loved her moment of realization and her conversations with future GF, but I hope they don't go down the route of a KJ/Mac romance. I also loved Mac's brother and really want to know more about her step mom. I have a feeing I know where that is going as well. My biggest question was the ending....so by giving adult Tiff the book with the info, young Tiff actually set all of this in motion? Adult Tiff is actually the one that started all the Time War stuff on the S(forgot the rest of the acronym) side? And are they actually the bad guys? What Grand Father said actually made a lot of sense about going back and trying to fix bad stuff in time and the metaphor with the tape.
  20. So confused so far.....hope things are explained quickly. I love Ally Wong so much, but I find the acting overall to be a bit problematic. Will give a few more episodes a try. Also, Hazy Shade of Winter is the most overplayed song on sci fi type shows (Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy, now this). I love the song, its just funny hearing it pop up in every single show I like.
  21. Did I understand correctly that this episode implied that Henry's dad is not alive when Claire is having all the miscarriages? I don't like that at all. It's incredibly depressing. One of the great things about the book and the movie were that Henry's dad was around to be there for Alba and he had such a great connection with her. It was almost like redemption for his father that their relationship was so different from the one he had with Henry and that he got in a sense, a do over. Piss off show for changing that.
  22. The last couple of seasons I totally thought that Will could identify as asexual. It wasn't until the break between seasons when the internet kept insisting that he is gay and in love with Mike that I questioned what I was seeing on screen. This season they seem to have really leaned more into him being gay, but unless he comes out, it's all just assumptions at this point. I think his being asexual would be a very interesting thing for the show to explore. My daughter has a female friend who told her she is asexual. She wore a suit to a school event and there were all these whisperings it was her way of coming out. She's close friends with a boy in the class and his mom recently told me she thinks this girl has a crush on him. It's not my business to tell so all I could do was cringe internally at all the assumptions constantly being made. Being asexual seems to be something people can't wrap their minds around and it would be good to put more spotlight on it.
  23. Not perfect but still so great in my opinion. So glad the Joyce and Hopper kiss finally happened! The worst part about Eddie dying is that he's being held responsible for the murders without any evidence other than the fact that he was in the vicinity when it happened. It's unfair that is how he will be remembered forever in spite of being innocent. I wish that there had at least been some way to clear his name before he died. Plus he didn't get to graduate....sob! The jocks were the absolute worst. I am sure if they had gotten their hands on Eddie they would have enacted their own form of justice on him. I know Jason died for sure, but did the other jock survive? It's too bad Mike didn't deliver his speech about 5 mins earlier, then El could have saved Max before she had her bones broken by Vecna/Henry/One. I agree that Sadie Sink did a really amazing job this season. She was not my favorite coming into this and I wouldn't have been bothered had she actually died for real but she did such a great job, I hope she will have enough to do in Season 5 and look forward to seeing her in other projects in the future. I guess Max died just long enough for Vecna's curse to be fulfilled. Since the sword of Gryffindor pretty much appeared itself to Hopper, we now know what house he is in (not surprising). Murray is an absolute treasure. Robin is cute but can be really grating at time, I'm not sure this show needs two of her. So weird that they decided to make Vickie exactly like her. "My women make noise when I please them" had me dying....though I wish they had tossed Yuri out the helicopter before they took off. Why wouldn't the entire town be evacuated immediately. People are just going to keep living there like nothing is happening?! The Hopper/El reunion made any issues with the season completely worth it. Running Up That Hill will now be stuck in my head for the next couple of weeks.....thanks Stranger Things!
  24. I love this show and mostly really enjoyed this season, except for the Allison stuff. Alison has never been my favorite since Season 1, but I enjoyed her dynamic in the family. She mostly got everything she wanted in life by using her powers (which are pretty much brainwashing) and she admits to doing this. She also knew since they were kids that Luther was in love with her and strung him along for years. She had her own relationships whenever she wanted not caring at all how Luther felt about it. She definitely went thru things but so did everyone else, Victor dated a murderer and then lost Sissy, Klaus had to watch Dave die when he went back in time, Diego lost the detective, etc. I'm definitely less of a fan of her now though, and I certainly hope there is more to her ending than what was shown because she definitely didn't deserve to come out of this with everything she wanted after all the stuff she pulled this season. I get that part of the fun about the show is that the siblings all treat each other like crap and jump around from not caring about anyone else to being a loving family at the drop of a hat. Still they don't really do totally irredeemable things to each other and what Allison did definitely crossed that line (with BOTH killing Harlan and rumoring Luther). I was really happy to see Luther moving on from his obsession with Allison and if Sloan is needed for him to do that then so be it. I think all the Sparrows were fun. I liked seeing some of the other kids that were affected by Reginald's magic dust (or whatever it was), its cool to see all the different powers that people got. I still think Lila got the best powers, it would have been fun to watch her go up against the Sparrows and mimic their powers back a them. Honestly I do get frustrated at times that I am not really of fan of the women on this show and prefer the men (except for the Handler who was a really fun villain). Klaus is my absolute favorite, then Diego, then a tie between Five and Luther (though Luther probably wins, I'm totally biased towards him because I find Tom Hopper to be insanely attractive), then Ben but only because he's usually not actively involved with all the other siblings .....Vanya was way down there with Lila and Allison (Victor may have actually moved up on the list, maybe its because Elliot is happier and it translates to the acting?). I just don't think the women on this show are very well written or their motivation for their actions often sucks. Really hoping we get another season, no more apocalypses, they can make it about getting their powers back and righting this world and then close it up there if needed.
  25. Because everything he has been thru has broken him. He's lost every one he ever cared about, and everything he worked for and believed in was destroyed. Wow, that scene of Vadar going thru the camp and randomly killing people was terrifying. You want a real menacing villain, there you have it. He didn't even have to say a word. The way Reva reacted to the carvings inside the safe house it seems that she has some very deep rooted resentment towards the Jedi (Obi-Wan in particular) but I just don't understand why. I'm not sure what the Jedi were supposed to do as they were being hunted and slaughtered. Right. Unlike Anakin who had trouble separating his feelings, I cannot imagine Obi-Wan ever even considering this. The closest they ever came to him showing even remotely romantic feelings for some one (in Clone Wars) he still chose the Jedi creed over everything. He just seems like way too much of a purist to ever stray from his beliefs. So cool seeing Indira Varma show up on this show, especially because of her ties to Mando - Pedro Pascal from GOT. I'm still loving all of the Ben and Leia interactions....though as we get closer to the end my hopes are being dashed for a certain reunion I would have loved to see.
