  1. Henry not only possess the ability to time travel but also the ability to memorize 152 dates perfectly and consequentially, and I can barely keep the dates of one week of my life together! Seeing Claire's home life it's not surprising that she was so open minded about Henry but clung to him so completely from the start. I had forgotten about Jason. I liked all of the actresses playing Claire, they all captured her spirit.
  2. My thoughts watching that were that I would have had to start stacking furniture because I never would have been able to climb a bed sheet. I couldn't climb a rope in gym class to save my life when I was in high school. I have questions too. I'm glad that they finally explained the origin for the Upside Down but during Dustin's explanation I thought he said that the Mind Flayer was the big boss and that Vecna was like his 5 star general. Did I get backwards, because in that case, does that mean that the Mind Flayer was already in the Upside Down and recruited Vecna or did Vecna create the Mind Flayer? The actor that plays Mike is just so lanky, it makes him quite awkward looking. And yes, it was such an annoying choice for them with the kids, because they very easily could have made one of the kids look like 8, but I was looking for her and none of the kids look like it could be her. And shouldn't she have been killed as well, it's like they completely forgot about her storyline with 11. I'm not happy with the Nancy/Jonathan/Steve triangle coming back. It seemed like a totally plausible storyline that Nancy and Jonathan would go their separate ways and want different paths for their lives going forward but to have Nancy jumping right back into being into Steve seems super lazy. I adore Steve, but I just don't feel like he NEEDS to be with anyone, I think his friendship with Robin and the kids is great, he is finding himself and thats fine. I'm so glad that Hopper and Joyce reunited. Can't wait for the second half.
  3. There was recently a local casting call for Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, they wanted 18+ who could pass for high schoolers.
  4. I adore Murray. He's the kind of crazy conspiracy theorist that you want on your side. Arglye is growing on me. I love that he immediately told Jonathan that he shouldn't have lied to Nancy. I also like Eddie and feel awful that he had to witness Chrissy dying the way that she did, but it's convenient that he is a fellow D&D enthusiast so the explanations for this will be easy for him to get on board with. What I don't like is this half baked Jonathan....curious to see what this does to his character. The Vecna is so gross. It appears it feeds on people with trauma or guilt, because otherwise both Chrissy and Fred seemed like perfectly nice people. Getting the skate to the face is no less than Angela deserves. I honestly cannot stand watching this kind of bullying. It's hard enough watching one person be terrible to someone but the entire rink was in on it and not one person thought to put a stop to it. Of course the basketball team is going to go into revenge mode.
  5. Yeah she seemed to have anorexia or bulimia, the mom/Vecna was saying that it was going to let out her dress so it would fit and then called her a disgusting pig. Those seem like the issues associated with body dysmorphia which leads to eating disorders.
  6. I feel the same, Billy was a terrible person, his 5 mins of trying to be decent at the end did not erase that for me. I hope they don't try and portray this as Max grieving for him like he was a good brother or something. Those first few mins....yikes. I can just imagine the discussion that must have been needed around releasing this today with what has been going on in the world. It was difficult to watch. Then the juxtaposition of the mean girl in High School tormenting El. It all hits a bit harder right now. I read this is supposed to be the creepiest season yet, and yeah, so far they have delivered on that. My 14 is not sure she wants to watch just yet and I made the mistake of watching this episode after it dropped at midnight. I had to wash my brain out with some adult cartoons after and decided to wait for the rest when it was daylight.....I'm not a fan of horror.....but I love this show and so far it has still been campy enough that it doesn't bother me, until now. I'm glad Joyce has been alerted about Hopper right away.
  7. Ewan McGregor has long been at the very top of my list of movie star crushes. To say I've been excited for this is an understatement. It's amazing to see EM pick up this character after so long and just hit the ground running with him. These first two episodes exceeded my expectations. Little Leia was an absolute delight and completely unexpected. My husband and I were bad and decided to watch the available episodes tonight rather than wait to watch them with our kids and now I can't wait to see their reactions. Of course Leia would be an incredibly almost annoying precocious kid. Seeing little Luke also gave me all the feels. As someone who is a huge Star Wars fan and has a ton of love for these characters it is sometimes difficult watching these things in reverse knowing all we know about what will happen in the movie and with the actors in real life. It's an emotional ride.
  8. I remember in the book Henry says he has seen the accident from every possible angle, so I think that scene on the show was very effective in showing how often he had been drawn back to it. Yeah I feel like they made him look WAY older, he looks like he could be in his 60s which made me very confused. This was one of those books where you had to give in to it and not think about things too hard. I let myself go down a bit of a rabbit hole thinking about Henry training himself and the first night he has with his younger version at the museum and it just made my brain hurt. You just have to try and enjoy the ride and not analyze things too much.
  9. Is the brother, Taylor? Fuches said something about Barry owing him $1700 for a hot tub. And in that case, Barry didn't really kill him at all.
  10. Dani threw me for a complete loop. When she blurted out that she was falling in love on the date with Solomon and he walked away I completely thought that she had scared him off and then he came back and they seemed to really hit it off. I wonder what her family will think when they see that part of the date.....hopefully they will coach her a bit about guarding her feelings more until she is certain of them. It was pretty interesting how she did a total switch when she found out that he worked at Ralph's. I think it's understandable that she is so stuck on being with someone who also likes anime but she may need to loosen up on her requirements a bit.
  11. I agree! I found Steve to be such a gem, and he is clearly in a very good position in his life, in spite of his loneliness and lack of love life. If the chemistry just ins't there he should keep looking to find someone who makes him truly happy. I love the AUS version of this show and was so glad to find that they made a US one. Though I wish it had more episodes, I just love seeing the success stories and wish nothing but good things for all of the people on this show.
  12. Before he dies he has another incident that the feet in the snow is referring to.
  13. This is one of my favorite books, I've re-read it several times over the years and as I've grown older my perspective has changed from thinking this was all super romantic to feeling like Claire was really robbed of a normal life but never did I feel like there was anything creepy or even "grooming" like happening. I was beyond excited to find out that this was going to be a series. I like the movie but I think it felt rushed, a series gives more time to focus on the details, though I'm not sure how I feel about the interview format that is happening. It will be interesting to see how that goes. I love Rose Leslie, but I agree she is playing Claire a bit smug. I'm not sure if I've ever felt that coming from the book, though her upbringing would certainly warrant it. I've not been a huge fan of Theo James' past work....but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Putting this next part with spoilers because I'm not sure the rules when it comes to book referencing..... I had no idea about the Downton Abbey reunion.....I didn't realize that Theo was Mr. Pamuck.....mind blown!
  14. It took me about 4 tries to get thru this series, I kept falling asleep, the last couple of episodes really dragged. I can't imagine that anyone who has experienced a loved one committing suicide, and found out that at the moment of their taking their life, their loved one contacted someone to tell them they were questioning their choice and then had that person push them into doing it, wouldn't think that person had some culpability and want them held responsible. If Michelle had been a better person she would have tried to talk him out of it, or called anyone (police, his family, etc.) to try and prevent him and he could possibly still be alive. Thats the only possibility that matters. I think Michelle had many directions she could have gone with this, if Conrad's constant misery was annoying to her she could have cut off contact with him and not gotten involved. She clearly saw this as a way to gain attention for herself though. So regardless of how sympathetic the show tried to make Michelle, I'm not buying it at all. I think it was very important for Michelle to be prosecuted, I think her sentence was severe enough that it would set an example, but her ultimate punishment was enough. Hopefully this teaches people to be careful what they say and do, over text and social media....none of things things ever truly go away and some of the choices you make when you are young can have severe consequences.
  15. I do a yearly binge fest of Felicity too, much to my husband's annoyance. As soon as he sees it coming he just runs away. This show was huge for me growing up. In 1998 I was 16, and I remember we had a tiny little 10 inch tv on top of our fridge in the kitchen, I would have to wash our dishes at night and I would pull a chair next to the fridge climb up and watch the episode of Felicity instead. Different things prompt my binging, this time around I really need to wash my brain out with something a little more wholesome after watching the first couple of episodes of Euphoria. If you want a serious shock watch an episode of Euphoria and then watch an episode of Felicity, it's pretty wild. Not knocking that show at all, I know it's very popular. I agree though that Felicity still holds up. I can't wait to watch this with my teen soon. Even 20 years later I am still firmly Team Ben. Noel really got on my nerves in the later seasons.
  16. My confusion has increased drastically over the last few seasons, things I just keep making less and less sense, but it is at an all time high now. I literally have no idea what is going on anymore. So Eren was pretending to be on Zeke's side but wasn't, but Eren's dad somehow saw the future and could see what Eren was doing - which does not align with what he (Eren's dad) thinks is right, he is now on Zeke's side or just has so much remorse and regret about abandoning Zeke that he is on his side. He (Eren's dad) basically made all the choices he made due to his seeing this future (i.e. he was manipulated by Eren)???? Then Zeke tried to trick Eren into thinking Eren could control Ymir just to get him to reveal his true feelings, all while actually knowing that only Zeke could control her because of his Royal Blood but then it turned out it was Eren that had her control all along???? Is there a cloning machine somewhere they haven't mentioned, how do they keep finding more people for these attacks.....tons of people die during everyone of these encounters yet theres still 500 others on standby ready for the next fight?! I'm pretty much only invested in what happens to Levy, Hange and Mikasa now. F - every single one else, they are all terrible people.
  17. I found this to be a bit slow to start, it's definitely not as engrossing as The Thing About Pam, though I understand that is being done with a bit more comedy while this is more serious. I hope it picks up when the trial comes up, as this was a really sad but fascinating case, especially since it kind of set a new precedent in regards to assisted suicide and accountability for bullying. Any one know if there's any good podcasts on this case?
  18. I just finished listening the Dateline podcast on this, the episode where they covered Russ's re-trail was incredibly moving. Joel Schwartz came off as incredibly humble when discussing the impact of what he had done for Russ, it really showed that he was genuinely on Russ's side from the start and seemed willing to overturn every stone to make things right for him. Leah Askey (who changed her last name, presumably because she got married but also probably to escape the notoriety) was interviewed about requesting destruction of evidence and firmly denies that she did it. I'm glad that the way that they depicted it on the show leaves no doubt that no one buys her denial. I honestly can't believe that Askey did not know or suspect that Pam was lying from the start, I think she just didn't care. I think she knows the statistics, knew she could reasonably pin this on Russ, she had an ace in the hole with the equally vapid judge that seemed to want to be on her good side. A win would only help secure her reelection. She seems like a really awful person. Even knowing all these details from reading about the case and the podcast, I was still on the edge of my seat this episode. I was tensely annoyed that they kept interjecting parts of Pam's past in between the trial, like just get to the verdict already!!!! And yes, Pam's mom was a piece of work....the apple didn't fall far from the tree at all there.
  19. Just watched this for the 2nd time since seeing it in the theaters and I have a question. I tried to comb thru all the comments to see if this was addressed but I couldn't find it. If the villains were fixed so that they hopefully will not die in their universe, doesn't that in turn also change Spider-man 2 and 3's futures? Most importantly, Harry wouldn't necessarily die and neither would Gwen. Maybe I would just really selfishly like to think that Spider-man 3 would get his happy ending with Gwen in his universe. It would be kind of unfair that the villains would get a second chance to be saved but their victims wouldn't.
  20. Yep it was "cankles". This is so hard to watch because of the absolute rage that I have felt at how incompetent and despicable the detective, prosecutor and judge are. It's disgusting. I hope that they are watching, I hope their family are watching and everyone that knows them personally is watching and that they are experiencing the most intense form of embarrassment imaginable right now. I wonder if Shwartz really did have Pam's number that early on and if so that is even more frustrating that it took 2 years for them to turn things around on this. The only good part of the episode was the girls faces when Shwartz revealed what Pam had said about them re: the trust money. This BIG TIME! TV has taught me what not to do in if I'm ever in this case and rule number one is to TRUST NO ONE on the law enforcement side. That's is sad and not at all the way that the justice system is supposed to work but its a messed up world that we live in. Also, are a judge and prosecutor that are working the same case allowed to interact socially right before a trial???! That seems insane! Also, my husband's question when Pam made the phone call to withdraw the money from the trust was how the heck she could do that. I don't think trusts work that way.
  21. I feel the same way. Interestingly a contractor for the place I used to work at moved into a WeWork building in So Cal after their office building ended their lease. My department worked closely with the group of people who moved in there and I remember them giving us a video tour of the office space, which I admit did look really fun and cool. Of course we were not privy to any of the shenanigans that might be going on there if there were any. Seriously! I described Adam to my husband as a Silvertongue. I get Rebekah came from money but Adam was able to go from being broke to having millions just with his mouth and no actual skills. I have a really great work ethic, if I just had half his confidence I'd probably be in a much different place. And regardless of what they did, they both walked away pretty comfortable, and from what I read they at least seem to portray having a pretty good marriage, with 5 kids, so they aren't doing so bad. I just hope Miguel made it out of this ok and didn't turn into a horrible person. I feel like this is good because JL and AH are good. Otherwise it would be a hot mess.
  22. I watched the series just a few days ago and I couldn't find this stinkin forum anywhere and was dying to read what everyone thought about it. I was completely fascinated. I was born in 82, and this brought so much nostalgia. I remember this happening and hearing about it, but I was way too conservative to know any details. It was cool to see this juxtaposed with he rise of the internet (dang how far that has come!)....I remember when we first got AOL...good times. Also Third Eye Blind was absolutely my jam, I still don't know any Motley Crue songs (except maybe the chorus of Girls, Girls, Girls), I will still rock out to some Third Eye Blind if it comes on the radio. I am completely shocked at some of the reactions towards Pam in this thread. I felt so much sympathy for her watching this. Tommy gets high-fived while Pam gets put thro the ringer. Regardless of what she did before, this was a video of an intimate moment in her and Tommy's life, they never meant for it to be shared, it was kept somewhere they considered to be safe. And this was pre internet time so I doubt they ever expected that even if it did end up in the wrong hands it could get circulated the way it did, as Tommy said "who the hell is still using Hi-8 in those days." Rand gets zero sympathy. Also, Seth Rogan seems to be a bit obsessed with filming himself doing porn or being involved in porn. So disheartening to see the outcome and the fact that the Seattle guy could get the rights to the video, actually pay someone off for the original and take ownership of it and then profit from selling it. It is beyond disgusting. The internet has in so many ways enriched our lives but at a huge cost to our privacy.
  23. Rose doing Midge's act was absolutely perfect (chef's kiss)! I agree with Midge that she improved it, and watching the family while she was doing the act was a riot. I don't care....I love Alfie. His character is so over the top kooky, and I find him hilarious. It's always so depressing watching shows portray the Kennedys. That family really got put thru the ringer and went thru a world of hurt.
  24. I think I am the only person in the world that was really hoping that they had brought Santino Fontana on to be Midge's new love interest. I can't believe he is just a side note character, he is SO good looking and talented. Sucks that the strip club finally got raided, it seemed to be turning into a really cool joint. Those acts were getting better and better! I'm not a huge fan of Mei and I was going to be really annoyed if they played it as The Maisel's just magically accepting her and the pregnancy like its no big deal(which it isn't but it was back then....). Dinah is an amazing secretary, but the kid thing makes it hard to root for Susie keeping her. They aren't even her kids either right? I teared up twice thanks to Moishe, once when Midge was talking about him at the club and then when Abe gives the eulogy. He really is a gem, I'm glad that we got to see that he is truly appreciated as he should be. Even Shirley was more palpable thanks to Moishe's dying storyline. I love Lenny, Luke Kirby is adorable.....but man, I did not want him and Midge to get together....that road only leads to massive heartbreak. Better start prepping for that now.
  25. I came in to comment this as well. It was amazing how quickly Nick and Vanessa changed the subject, it was incredibly clear exactly where the comments were going and what they were insinuating. I know we are all supposed to beating down on Shake and he deserves it, but he did drop some facts in all the insulting nonsense he was spouting by saying that Shaina was motivated to stay on the show and that is why she said yes to Kyle. Nick and Vanessa kind of steered that away as well. I still think that Jarrette and Iyanna will work only because Iyanna is such a calm, sweet and patient person. I don't know why, maybe I wasn't paying attention before but the replay of the conversation between Jarrette and Mallory seemed so much worse this time around. If I was Iyanna I don't think I could have gotten past that...so good for her for being so strong. Nick and Danielle will probably implode because there are just too many issues and differences there. I still dont think he is closeted and I find that to be such a cliche assumption to make. I'm still so angry for Natalie, because she is awesome, Deepti too. Neither of them deserved how they were treated on the show.
