  1. I haven't been watching this show because I had to take a break from political crap. Today I turn it on to see Mike Barnicle giving me a lecture about virtues and ethics. How can this show continue to have a known fabulist acting as the voice of moral authority? Joe is re-enacting the McCarthy hearings. He is playing the part of a frightened woman. The fuck?
  2. I hope so, too. I live in Wash, DC, and from what I can tell, there's no enthusiasm for the "Commanders." I have not seen one person in a Commanders shirt or hat. And I know they are marketing it heavily because I've received numerous emails from the NFL shop inviting me to buy new Commanders merchandise.
  3. I thought Gauff did really well, considering that it was her first major final. She looked pretty nervous in the first set and seemed to get more comfortable and adjust over time, just not soon enough. From what the commentators were saying, Swiatek's forehand is very hard to hit. She also seems to have a lot of lateral speed in the back court. I am excited to see more matches between these two players. Considering that they are only 18 and 21 years old, this could be an exciting rivalry. I'm definitely tuning in to see Gauff and Pegula in the doubles championship tomorrow.

As a Rockets fan, I have to agree. It was really satisfying watching that game last night.
  5. I feel like a show about law enforcement needs representation of the women in law enforcement. I guess Lina was that representation, but if they knew she was leaving, they should have added more development of the new SWAT members. I feel like the writers' attitude is that, as long as there is a woman, it's all the same, but it's not to me. Nichelle is a supporting character, so she cannot really fill the gap left by Chris. I like Street and Luca the best of the remaining characters, but I will not watch just to see them. One thing that bugged me about this episode was Luca's conversation with Chris. He said she saw always at their house. That is really interesting since it was never shown. It's like the writers just pull stuff out of their butts.
  6. https://www.tvinsider.com/1046510/michelle-young-the-bachelorette-leaving-teaching/ Michelle is leaving teaching. My guess is that she'll become an Instagram influencer. She mentioned having a fiance as a factor, too.
  7. I hope that her third Bachelor engagement sticks. It will be sad if she ends up in Paradise looking for another fiance. Why is he already wearing a ring that looks like a wedding ring? I've never seen an engagement band on a man before.

Yes. This, times a million. I like Jimmy Butler more than I've liked any player since Hakeem Olajuwon. I love how he never stops fighting and he encourages his team members during the game. He's why I want Miami to win.
  9. I think that Fowler is the best bet to replace Chris. They have shown some of her back story already, and I think there is a lot to work with. We know that she served in Iraq and she has a child. One scene alluded to the father of the child, who I gather was killed in action.I like her overall demeanor and her desire to fit in with the team. Plus, she is friendly with Luca, and they could use the friendship as a way to get people more into that character.
  10. The dress was shockingly bad. That particular cut was too short for her wide shoulders. She looked like a linebacker. The hairstyle made the whole look worse It must have been a real challenge for the costume designer to make such a beautiful woman look bad.
  11. So there weren't enough people who bought her crap about vaginal odor and she had to expand the market. I can't stand her smirky whispering.
  12. I've been watching TC starting with Swiatek this morning. They have really stepped it up for Paris. Chanda Rubin was on for Swiatek followed by Pam Shriver covering defending champion Barbara Krejcikova. TC has a studio overlooking the promenade at Roland Garros. I've never seen this perspective before, and I'm very impressed by the setup. Shriver has developed into a great commentator and makes the matches more interesting. Apparently, Krejcikova has an elbow injury and has been out for three months.
  13. I thought that this really would have made a good series finale. It showed all of the best parts about the team and their relationships and had good action scenes as well. I thought that it was nice that Chris connected with each character. It was great to see her more open with Street and more relaxed in general. I especially liked her goodbye scene with Luca. I'll admit that I was totally freaked out when Luca was exposed to the toxic gas. I thought Luca was going to be seriously injured or going to die. Once again, that was great acting by Kenny Johnson. He is a very effective actor in all different kinds of scenes. I can see why he has had such a long career on TV. I thought the final scene at the bar was awesome. My only problem was that no one acted surprised or said "we know" after the relationship was revealed. There should have been some sort of reaction. I'll fanwank that Luca went to work and told the team even though they asked him not to. It was a good way to send off Lina Esco and Chris Alonzo. I appreciate all of the work Lina Esco put into this season. A lot of actors phone it in when they are leaving a show I'm willing to give it a try next season, even though I'm doubtful that any character will be able to fill the hole left by Chris. The show really should have committed to other female characters in a more significant way. Hopefully one of the new ladies will step up.
  14. It's interesting that all of the sneak peeks seem centered on the beginning of the episode. Guess they don't want to give too much about the case. This promo shows some kind of lab and the team at what is presumably a going away celebration for Chris. My guess is that "Farewell" relates to Chris leaving, Mama Pina dying, and possibly someone else leaving the SWAT team.
  15. Are we allowed to speculate about the finale, entitled "Farewell"? There's not much info out. I think that Mama Pina is going to pass away. I think that it's possible that Cabrera or Fowler will get killed off. The show has made it clear that Cabrera is impulsive and doesn't always go by the book, and this was a safety concern for the unit. This is just a guess since I don't have access to spoilers.

I don't like ABC's coverage of Golden State and Dallas. They constantly have the camera trained on Steph Curry. Last night, they showed a reaction shot by Steph when one of his teammates was scoring a basket. They need to fill out their coverage a little more. This is not just the Steph Curry show (and I like Curry). His teammates deserve credit, too. I wish Steph Curry would put his mouthpiece back in his mouth. It grosses me out watching him run around with it hanging out. I really enjoyed seeing Charles Barkley in a Mavericks jersey. I guess he lost a bet witb one of the guys on the show.
  17. In the Hondo/Saint scene, there were other people who witnessed the harrassment. Saint brought up a famous Churchill quote. Hondo's response was, "I forgot my book of quotes that criminal bastards live by." It seems to me that if Hondo continues to approach Saint, apparently just for the sake of harrassing him, he would be up on disciplinary charges, with witnesses to support the claim. He is really on thin ice. At the very least, he would be called in by Hicks and told to stop the unscheduled checks on Saint
  18. I do not get why there have been multiple Anna-centric episodes. I don't care about Anna enough to watch a whole hour of her being undercover. i was seriously bored watching Voight talk about drugs and the bad guy and Anna's sad, sad past. I get that I'm supposed to care because she is Voight's informant, but something is missing. In the older episodes, the team would work together to solve crimes. The team dynamic was one of the best things about the show. The newer episodes have a lot less team interaction and too much time spent on characters that the audience does not really know. Also, what happened to Trudi? She only appears once in a while, and the funny/snarky edge of the first 5-6 seasons is gone.
  19. The hookup scene was hot. Thanks, producers, for having Street in a tank top! I like how Luca's advice served as a catalyst for Chris and Street in the past two episodes. Kenny Johnson was good as the confidant/ best buddy who really cares about his friends. Chris got defensive, just like Luca said, but she eventually realized that he was right. She was messing up by letting Street go. It only took her thinking that Street was going to die to come to her senses. Between Luca's speech to Chris and Deacon telling Chris that Street was going to miss her, I guess everyone knew about them anyway? The case was depressing because they killed a whole family for those statues. The little girl was shockingly okay for being the only survivor in the family. I think she should have been more traumatized. I really liked Tan as the person that she latched onto. I think this is foreshadowing Tan as a dad next season. I've been a Carl Lumbly fan since "Alias" and hope that he is back on the show next season.
  20. Seriously. What are the writers thinking? I don't understand why an LAPD officer would be designated for an assignment at the border. And I don't believe that Bailey would gladly ride along and would agree to stay at that dump. The Chen and Bradford storyline was so insulting to the viewers. I thought the undercover storyline and the awkward kiss were terrible. If they cannot find an organic way to develop the relationship, they should drop it.
  21. It's Betsy Randle from Boy Meets World. https://www.ispot.tv/topic/actor-actress/qbt/betsy-randle
  22. According to this, he has lymphedema, and he had been close to having an amputation once before. How sad. https://www.bustle.com/p/what-has-cam-been-doing-since-hannahs-bachelorette-season-hes-dedicated-to-a-great-cause-18544215
  23. Was the actress on Grey's Anatomy Lauren Stamile? The actress who plays the judge is Wendy Moniz. I remember her as the co-star of "The Guardian" with Simon Baker back in the early 2000's. I've always thought that she was a doppelganger for Kim Delaney. If they go with her as a past love interest, it would explain a lot. I will give them that the judge is an age appropriate interest for Remy.
  24. I think that what the show is portraying is that he was a playboy, and this is the first time he's actually really loved someone. So this is new, and the thought of losing Chris makes him kind of crazy. I think Chris has some sort of relationship or commitment issues, which is why she is freaking out. Street got to the level of living with someone. Chris was in that "throuple", which was actually a short term living situation. Her other relationships on the show were one night stands.
  25. I could not believe that. Since they did not show any evidence of personal history, I assume that his request for the warrant was his first interaction with her. He had no way of knowing that she would be receptive to a visit. But hey, in Remy world, women are happy when he shows up on their doorstep late at night because he's just that sexy! I was seriously getting stalker vibes.
