  1. I can't understand why the fans in Atlanta still do the chop. Do they not understand that this World Series is an international showcase for ATL? Also why didn't the team ask the fans to stop the chop song? Maybe the team did say something, but I missed it if they did.
  2. There's a commercial for a hearing aid in which a daughter and boyfriend are visiting her parents. She asks the boyfrined whether he brought condoms. He can't hear her, so she repeats it. When he still can't hear her, the father yells, "She wants to know if you brought the condoms." I hate this commercial so much. Why would a couple be talking about condoms in front of the lady's parents? So fucking stupid.
  3. Katie is apparently trying stand--up comedy. According to this article, her debut was quite awkward. https://www.monstersandcritics.com/tv/reality-tv/the-bachelorette-katie-thurstons-stand-up-comedy-gig-did-not-go-over-well/
  4. I think that he was lashing out due to grief. I think he was confused and was angry with his mom for OD'ing, and he was taking it out on Chris. I also wish that they had given Sherilynn Fenn a proper goodbye. It would have been nice to see her in one last scene with Jim. That would also have made her death more impactful.
  5. Hated everything about this episode except the douchey acting defendants. The actors made me laugh because they really nailed their roles as giant pricks. It was really disturbing that the jury foreperson could be identified and contacted by the defense. I rolled my eyes at the victim telling Amanda that Carisi likes her, as if the victim didn't have other things to notice at trial. This show has a terrible habit of relying on social media for its plots. I cannot even count the number of episodes in the past two seasons in which the victim or the perpetrator had social media posts that were picked up by our crack squad of detectives, leading them to solve the case. Every crime on SVU is magically solved by Tik Tok or Instagram. The worst is the "victim" making videos for the followers which Liv and the crew discover in the course of net surfing. It's ridiculous and lazy writing.
  6. I don't understand how Chris and Street were holding hands at work knowing that they would both be in huge trouble if someone walked in saw them. I thought that part of their deal was trying to keep their relationship professional while at work.
  7. I agree. He actually had good chemistry with Chen. Melissa O'Neill is just good at generating interest with her character. That was his most believable relationship in my opinion and probably mostly because of the actress. The pregnancy scare girlfriend was annoying, and the blond doctor added nothing to the show.
  8. I got the impression that they were hinting that something happened with Chen and Bradford in the 3-4 months since Jackson died. First, she had no problem walking into the locker room when he could have been in there undressed. Second, her asking what else he liked about her is really strange now that he is her supervisor, but it makes sense if they had a more personal relationship. I think Jenna Dewan is cute, but she makes no sense as Nolan's girlfriend. Like others, I just don't buy these two as a realistic couple due to their age difference. It seems like some perverse male fantasy that younger, cuter womem want to date older guys. I also don't see much chemistry there. It would have been more realistic if he told her off after she broke up by text. I am really tired of this idea in TV shows that someone who is messed up with relationships is going to find the perfect partner to cure them of their intimacy problems.
  9. Yes to all of this. They had excellent chemistry before they got romantic I thought they were convincing when they were partners and were attracted to each other. But something is off about the writing or acting of the storyline as a couple. I think they rushed into the romance storyline and didn't adequately develop a foundation for them being more than friends. Hailey just announced that she saw Jay as more than a partner and, the next thing you know, they are practically living together and acting like they've been married for years. It was very forced and lacked development.
  10. My feelings exactly. Vanessa Lachey lacks believability in this role. It was ridiculous watching her try to get through the military jargon. She sounded like she had no clue what she was talking about. One of the women from NCIS New Orleans would have been better or even Katrina Law, who is currently on original flavor NCIS. This would work better with Lachey as one of the investigators instead of the lead.
  11. I hated Hailey in every scene. I'm not sure that's what they were going for. The thing I absolutely don't understand is how they let Hailey get to the point where she is complicit in Voight's crime. She has consistently been shown as concerned with ethical policing. It was an issue in her relationship with Adam when he roughed up suspects. I don't think that the episode is consistent with her character. She would have insisted that Voight call in the incident immediately. At this point, we have several crimes between Voight and Hailey. They destroyed evidence and lied to other law enforcement officers. There is no redemption for Hailey at this point unless she immediately confesses what she knows and turns against Voight. And that would end her career on this show. So where do they go from here? It's a total dead end for Hailey. As to Jay, he and Hailey had potential and good chemistry at first, but the bad writing has totally jacked it up. I find their kissing and romance scenes awkward as fuck. Sometimes actors who are good playing characters as friends suck when they try to do romance scenes. The actors are so unnatural together as a couple, proving once again that good chemistry does not mean the characters should be romantic. Their whole relationship had been about Hailey being an emotional fuckup while he tries to "understand" her. It's a terrible imbalance, and it's no basis for a marriage. Heh, exactly.
  12. Yes, I meant Tia. They are so much alike. I know that Raven is married and has a baby now.
  13. I cannot stand Demi's accent, and I grew up in Texas and have heard every variety the state has to offer. Yes, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard even to a native Texan! I also hate her pouty lips. It's like she thinks with her mouth. Did she ever explain what happened to her girlfriend/fiancee? I agree with those who think that Raven was putting on a country act. There was a moment in her one on one date when she was quietly talking, and she did not sound nearly as "country" as she did in the group setting. Why is Kendall back on this show. It seemed like she made a clean break with Joe over their geographic incompatibility, but she has to throw a wrench on his relationship. She seems like a very controlling ex. Run, Joe.
  14. In this interview, Katie really seems over her Bachelorette experience, and I would say, unhappy with the show. The interview practically screams "I'm just fulfilling my contractual obligations." She's clearly uncomfortable even talking about it. Notable takeaways are that she wouldn't do the show again and has no interest in seeing Michael.
  15. This cracked me up, especially the part about JoMika being in a free magazine in the Hamptons. That seems like the kind of thing they would do. Joe looks creepy with this "sexy" expression. GROSS. Keep it to yourself Joe and Mika. I know that Greg Kelly is a tool, but his Twitter feed makes me laugh.
  16. I haven't been watching or posting but I just saw Kasie's announcement on a news blog. I am really shocked by Kasie's departure from MSNBC. She seemed to me to be the wave of the future at MSNBC. It's a big loss for Morning Joe, since she was a likeable and well-known substitute for JoMika. Edited since I saw Cased's post. She'll be on streaming at CNN. Kind of sounds like she's dropping out of daily news, which makes sense with a young child.
  17. I am really grossed out by Katie asking Blake about her challenge and then laughing at him. If she actually likes men, why would she be so controlling about their bodies. That is not caring behavior. What an immature bitch.
  18. When Tayshia and Katelynn were talking to Katie in her room, I got the feeling that they were both drunk but were trying to appear sober. Katelynn especially had wide eyes and an intense "trying to follow the conversation" expression. Katie seems very nice and very sensitive but also very immature. She has all of these smoking hot dudes after her, dressed to the nines, and she's chasing after Blake. I get a feeling of someone who always wants what she can't have. Her overall demeanor is pretty teenager-ish for a 30 year old and it bugs me.
  19. This is interesting about Neal Baer. I didn't realize that he left the show. I will say that I think, if they have to do it, Elliott/Olivia are better off as an implied pairing, mostly offscreen with hints that they are together. Does anyone remember the scene of them undercover where MH was in a bra and CM was shirtless? It was in Season 7 or 8. It was totally awkward and not at all sexy. They have good emotional chemistry, but I do not want to see them making out.
  20. The Benson/Stabler thing doesn't work for me either. My biggest problem with it is that Elliott was separated from Kathy for months (maybe a year?), and he never reached out to Liv romantically. That would have been a perfect chance for them to attempt to cross from partners into a dating relationship If he didn't try it after being over with Kathy the first time, why would he suddenly realize this great love for Olivia? If it's because Kathy is dead now and no one else will put up with Elliott, that's not a very good reason. I am similarly unconvinced on Rollins/Carisi. My problem with those two is that Rollins has repeatedly made a fool of Carisi. When they were undercover in West Virginia, she blew him off and fucked a random bartender. Then she went and got pregnant twice and she used Carisi as her babysitting service. She walked all over him and now suddenly realized he's a good guy. It is not romantic at all. I'm all for a good story about a friendship turning to romance, but this makes no sense, given how Rollins treated him. I feel like Carisi should have given her an ultimatum long ago and made good on it. Even the nicest guy gets sick of being used and cucked.
  21. We've reached a new low. Mika took the Forbes 50 over 50 issue, copied the female profiles, and turned it into a "Know Your Value" feature. No one gives a damn about Forbes magazine right now lady, Mika. I am all for recognizing women but this show is about politics first and foremost. The Forbes article is all advertising and PR for their companies. Elyse noted that she is 39 and just had a baby. That's nice, how does it relate to the 50 over 50 concept, moron? Elyse seems kind of thick. Poor Joe, he has to sit there and pretend to give a fuck about random female executives in Forbes. He has this uncomfortable frozen smile, like he is worried they are going to start talking about mammograms or giving birth.
  22. I agree that it's an odd choice. I think it's some sort of style nod to 90's fashion. I think is that they were going for a quirky, preppy vibe. I'm too unsophisticated about fashion to know whether 90's looks are already back in.
  23. The Casey and Brett love scene was really bad. I was embarrassed for the actors having to do that horribly staged sex scene. The awkward face shots of ecstasy or whatever...GROSS. It was like the Halmark Channel meets soft core porn. I had to change the channel. I mean no offense to the Casey and Brett shippers. I really like both actors, but the storyline has been terribly done this season. They deserved better than this.
  24. I was surprised that Chris kissed Jim. The actors have a ton of chemistry together whether they are doing friendship scenes or romantic scenes. I think a work relationship is a bad idea but I will watch any scene with those two together. I trust the writers to be true to the characters and not screw it up.
  25. YES! Every time she was on screen I yelled at her to fix her fucking eyebrows. I'm sure anyone who watched this show with me is glad she's gone. I feel like Emily Wickersham was a barely serviceable actor. I've never seen her in anything else but she strikes me as the type who would be the same in every role anyway. Was it ever resolved whether Bishop actually had a relationship with Torres? They kept dropping all these hints, but everything was so "secret" that I lost interest. It made no sense for the writers to hint at their love and never show anything to prove it. Their kiss last night was out of nowhere. I loved Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber together and I hope she's back next season.
