  1. That was lots of fun!
  2. This show has always more performance and fewer awards. There are lists of the one that have been given out already
  3. Arianna looks very shiney
  4. I just read that Gary Clark Jr won 3 awards in the early show for his "This Land" album. This makes me very happy

Fortunately, I wasn't watching... I just dropped in to say mazel tov to you! (It's kinda weird that you were the first person I thought of... although I guess that means I don't have any friends who are Yankee fans. Which is good 🙂 )

We are. But since it's Romo, it doesn't really matter...
  7. I don't love the commercial (honestly, I rarely actually look at it), but I looooove listening to the Amazon Prime commercial that uses Nat King Cole's "Let's Face the Music and Dance". Because who doesn't love Nat King Cole?
  8. I woke up during the DeNiro segment and was confused because I knew I'd seen it before. Weird for a rerun on Thursday after new shows earlier in the week.
  9. I am hair stupid. I'm over 60 and have long hair about to my waist (as long as it gets - I'll never be Crystal Gayle) parted in the middle. Total wash and wear hair. The last time I was in a salon - other than a wash when I can carpel tunnel surgery and couldn't wash it myself - was in 1979 when I had a Barbra Steisand poodle perm. Never again. I don't want to ever have to think about my hair after I brush it in the morning.
  10. Thanks! When we take our baseball trips, if there's a Presidential Library in the area, we try to hit it up. Last time we were in Dallas, it was before this one would have been built, so this is a great idea! I look forward to hearing from you for more info!
  11. I thank you all for watching this and keeping me up to date so I can continue watching football. And drinking...
  12. Hi all. I'll be in Dallas the last week of this month. I will have a car and nothing to do during the day while Mr. ebk works. I've done the Book Depository, so any other ideas will be most welcome. Also, restaurants. We love to eat and he will be available for dinners. Thanks!
  13. This is the very first thing that popped into my mind.
  14. And songs from "Company"... can't go wrong there.
  15. Because it seems I'm high and drunk too...

    Well, how about that...

    MSNBC

TK has a (sorta) daily podcast (in other words, he works whenever he feels like it, which is most days that aren't in the summer). During football season, he has a few folks drop by weekly to pick games, Chuck being one of them (one of the other ones is Carville, who is practically unintelligible but still funny). Chuck is kinda amusing on the subject of football. Maybe he should go into sports full time. In all honesty, I'm not sure I can fully recommend TK's show anymore as I feel it's a shadow of what it once was. I still listen, but I've been listening to him on the radio since the mid 90s, so it's a habit. Just warning you if you decide to try to listen.

Of course Chuck doesn't want the 9am slot. It would interfere with his picking football games on the Tony Kornheiser podcast... Sometimes I'm glad I have a job so I don't end up watching this stuff all day long.

    RIP Don Larsen. https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-don-larsen-obituary-20200102-i22va4zqobadbe77lmn4hsrfmy-story.html
  20. And it only gets worse... Don Larsen died, who pitched the only perfect game in a World Series, died today. https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-don-larsen-obituary-20200102-i22va4zqobadbe77lmn4hsrfmy-story.html

I'm surprised. Last weekend I was under the impression that Little Danny Napoleon was going to hire Uban Meyer. So this happened kinda quickly. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention 😉

And then, there are the Redskins...
  23. This is not in any way a defense of Bill Cosby since he's the scum of the earth, but he was the first African-American to be the lead in a network TV show...in 1965 in "I Spy". So way before "The Cosby Show" in the '80s he was really famous. That said, your point about Eddie Murphy becoming a star with or without Cosby is spot on.
  24. All in all, a pretty damn good show. I thought it got a little weaker as it went on. While I love Cecily's Judge Pirro and Colin was great, people puking kinda grosses me out. Otherwise, I was laughing all through Update. I'm so glad Gumby was there! And Lizzo was great. A fun show. No ice skating again this year... still, Happy Holidays everyone!
