  1. Thank you Satan for inspiration... ha! And to whoever thought Lady Gaga was British, I never knew Christian Bale was British. I'm not paying enough attention I guess.
  2. Love Sandra's new dress! And loved that past highlights bit!
  3. Idris Elba - yummmmmmm Taylor could have been a little more responsive to him...
  4. I'm going to guess he said she's so nice she makes Tom Hanks look like an asshole. Or something like that.
  5. Can they send a flu shot to my living room right now? I'm *this* close to getting sick. I won't have a napkin on my head.
  6. I'm in Maryland and we have some great breweries here, but Founders does consistently great stouts - Breakfast, Kentucky and Canadian. Glad the latter 2 are only annual because they're pretty pricey. On topic, happy for The Americans, but honestly, I don't watch as much TV as I should it seems.
  7. Cheers! I started with beer during football, so just poured a Founders Breakfast Stout. Yummmm
  8. Thought the opening started kinda slow/weird, but ended really strong.
  9. I'd skip Grey's and go with Killing Eve. Oh, also check out Sideways. The movie was meh, but she was good. And it's about wine...
  10. That Black Panther/Oakland bit was hilarious. @tennisgurl, Andy Samberg happened for me when Brooklyn 99 started.
  11. I think it's just Matthew Rhys. He's always yummy.
  12. I forgot to mention the name of the album - Hollywood Africans. You can listen to the whole thing on his YouTube channel. I loved it.
  13. The talk about Jon Batiste in the Kennedy Center Honors thread reminded me he released an album recently, so I went looking for it. Here's a lovely version of What a Wonderful World. The rest of the album is also lovely and I bought it. I think he's amazing. ETA: Seems the video from the album isn't available to embed, so here's the performance from The Late Show,
  14. This is exactly what I did - tuned in about 11:58 (I was watching That's Entertainment on TCM, a much better use of my time). I was also confused about the lack of anyone talking. However, later on in the hour, Brooke and Don said something about technical difficulties and not being able to talk to Andy and Anderson, so that might have been the issue. What poor timing for tech problems. Happy New Year everyone!
  15. Almost time for me to probably not watch this. I am, however, enjoying the commercials about Andy being part of the CNN family. The only reason I may tune in is to see the greetings from various Broadway shows. And because I have no idea what else to watch since Guy Lombardo is dead...

    NFL Thread

The Ravens made it a little too exciting there at the end. I'm getting too old for this. Not that I'm complaining...
  17. I used to do that all the time. But about 5ish years ago, I realized I'd never fit into that stuff again. Now I just tell myself that if I somehow get down to that size, I'd much rather buy new, fun clothes than wear the old stuff. That works! Good luck!!
  18. He played a Philip Glass piece. It was lovely. I think he's amazing and was sorry that I couldn't go see him at 9:30 Club when he was here, but it was St Patrick's Day and I try not to leave the house on St Patrick's Day. Next time.
