The connection between Lucious and Cookie is one of my favorite things about the show so far. And I love that it irritates Anika. She just bugs me.

I was lukewarm after the pilot, but after this episode, I am loving this show. Cookie is everything. Taraji is just bringing it in this role. Hakeem is such an entitled little shit. But I love his relationship with Jamal. I thought their performance was fantastic. This. For DAYS! I cannot stand that woman and her perma-sneer.

That's a great moment in the episode, and the actress really sells it. I watched Ed Green's farewell episode, "Burn Card," last weekend as well. I'd forgotten how good it was. From Lupo's travails with his dog, Otto to Green telling Van Buren about his gambling addiction, there were just some nice moments between the characters - especially for longtime fans.

Submission was also on this past weekend. I always liked that episode. Cutter is just a lot of fun in that one. And Connie got a fair amount of snark in as well. I also liked "Darkness," which features a nice guest star turn from Tom McCarthy; and "Bottomless," the famous SavingsMart episode. Ron Canada was great in that one as Van Buren's friend and former mentor. Season 18 really did have some gems.

I have zero familiarity with the source material, but based on seeing the movies, I always mildly shipped Thor and Sif.

Glad to hear the show is getting a second season. I kind of want to see what comes of Mei Lin and Ahmad's partnership to take down Kublai.

I liked two things about Arsenal's win over Stoke today: 1) Seeing Mesut Ozil playing again after such a long injury layoff 2) Alexis. Sanchez. Damn - what a player!

Yes! That's it! He just never felt like a real character to me - and his pretty was not enough to mitigate that.

This movie is on cable a lot now, and even though I've seen it before, I now realize that Theo James really bugs me in this movie. I can't really say why. When I read the book, I was pretty indifferent to Four, but in the movie, he grates.

Well late to the party on this, but I am glad to see this show is getting a second season. I really enjoyed it.

Sigh. I had hoped The Loft had been consigned to some straight-to-cable dustbin. Now, I learn it's being released January 30.

Yeah - that was one of the things I really enjoyed about the episode.

I thought it was ok. Threw up a few interesting plotlines and dynamics. What's the deal with Andre and those pills he's taking? Can Uncle Malik Yoba be trusted (my guess is no). I liked Cookie a lot. She and Jamal were the only characters who made me sit up and take notice.

I can't believe the NY Red Bulls fired Mike Petke. I adored that man. Still do. Jesse Marsch has a long way to go to win over this fan.

Two losses in a row. I am ready to rend my damn garments!

Those 2 are hot together. If there's a second season, I hope we get lots more of them.

Well, the Real Madrid winning streak is over. I didn't much care about the streak, but I am disappointed in the lacklusterness (yeah, I know it's not a word) of the performance. Switching gears - now that the transfer window is open, i decided to read ESPN's infographic about how a transfer works. Not much new there, but I do love their use of the fictional player Dave Thumper to illustrate their points.
