  1. I find Love Actually to be a trite trifle, but this aspect of it has always irked me.
  2. Not emails. The assumption is that at some point he backed up his phone to his computer. They wanted some sort of data or metadata from the phone, which I forget what fakey reason but was deleted or wiped or something Or, as the EW.com recapper called it, GIVD - Generic Incriminating Villain Data.
  3. Basically, the Bundesliga version of Dortmund showed up.
  4. Good for Arsenal for winning today. I'm not a fan, but I do so hate how people tend to pile on them. Still no clue what's up with Borussia Dortmund. Are they missing Lewandowski that much?
  5. You're right, JustaPerson: Bayern did such a great job, I kept forgetting their were down to 10! I was pretty surprised to see them make back-to-back mistakes like that - and from two players (Alonso & Boateng) who'd had impeccable games up to that point.
  6. Quite the implosion from Bayern Munich vs. Manchester City today. Who would have thought Xabi Alonso would be the one making such a costly error to give away the equalizer. Helluva performance from Sergio Aguero, though.
  7. marcee, I found that random as well. In fact, Bonnie's whole interaction with that guy seemed to come out of nowhere. It can't have been a complete throwaway, and your theory about needing his expertise to doctor dental records is pretty intriguing.
  8. I am watching "Challenged" now on TNT, and I just realized that Michael Rispoli - who I'm used to seeing in mob/tough-guy roles - is the actor playing the mentally disabled man who was sent away by his family. He does a good job in the role.
  9. I seriously want to throw things at my TV when Cyrus brings up James. He a) put out a hit on James and b) pimped him out to Sally's husband. But I'm supposed to believe he really loved James? This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts about this show.
  10. I don't want Wes & Annalise to hook up, but I wouldn't mind seeing her become his Svengali. When he was blackmailing her in that one episode, she seemed almost proud of him.
  11. Well, I was hoping Arsenal would beat Manchester United because I just hate United, but alas, it was not to be. At least Everton one, so yay for that!
  12. OjaiHoney, I loved Olivia & Jake's dancing as well. It felt like an actual intimate moment a couple might have. That's why I was so scared Jake was going to be taken out in the midst of it. JAYJAY1979, whatever gave you that idea :-)
  13. Round up of some of my favorite recaps of the mid-season finale Not sure why, but that visual - the grapefruit rinds and Keurig k-cups - cracks me up. I actually agree with this recapper.
  14. Things I noticed on re-watch: Michaela lets herself into the Keating house to return the trophy. When they were discussing what to do after Sam was thrown down the stairs, Wes advocated just leaving; Connor was the main one arguing against this. During the struggle with Sam, Connor tries to grab the flash drive and Sam (without looking) punches him in the face – which cracked me the hell up. It may be the way the scenes were edited together, but I’m going to go ahead and believe that Annalise went to Nate’s after she saw Wes at the house. I love that “little help here?” look Connor, Wes and Laurel give to Michaela when they start rolling Sam’s body up in the rug. Yeah – that’s part of what fascinates me about their dynamic. Now that they’re covering up a murder together, I’m guessing their relationship will become even more twisted.
  15. "It just means we're at risk for the same STDs." Ha! Mellie FTW I kept thinking Jake was just going to get shot while he was dancing with Olivia. I was mildly surprised that Olivia ended up being the one in peril. You're in luck. The writers wouldn't care either.
  16. Ok - they got me. I didn't see the ending coming at all. Or maybe I'm just naive. That fight between Annalise and Sam was so disturbing to watch. They made him good and evil before he died. Oh and hot hot hot scene between Annalise & Nate. So - yay for that. I can't believe it, but the show actually made the students' reasons for the coverup believable. I don't feel let down, though I thought Sam was legit dead after he was thrown down the stairs (I forgot about the trophy)
  17. Agree with all of the Van Buren moments mentioned here. Another favorite of mine was from season 20's "Just a Girl in the World" when LT asks Lupo how he knew where to find evidence in a suspect's house. Lupo: She invited me in. Van Buren (eyebrow raised): Invited you in. For what? Lupo: For...tea. Van Buren's death stare was a thing of beauty. Always.
  18. I'm in the minority in that I thought Pitch Perfect was just ok. The ending didn't seem especially sequel-ready, but when has that ever stopped anybody-lol
  19. That and the writers want to have their cake and eat it too. They want the characters to be able to do heinous things but never be held accountable for them. It's kind of aggravating but fairly typical of Shonda shows.
  20. I didn't know there was going to be a Pitch Perfect sequel. And I don't get why there's one.
  21. Clip from the winter finale: Annalise is throwing Sam out of the house. As we all know, he doesn't go.
  22. I wasn't crying. I had something in my eye. Good episode. Loved seeing Abby & Jenny work together. I thought Aunjanue Ellis was great as Lori Mills. And I am ECSTATIC that Irving is out of Tarrytown. Hope we see The Kindred next week.
  23. Cast panel at the SAG Foundation from Saturday, November 15. I'm not crazy about the host. She pronounced Viola as "Vee-ola" *rme*
