I guess the big shock of this round of matches is Liverpool losing to Basel, although I'm not sure why English teams are still shocked when they get beaten by the Swiss champions. Basel has made a habit of beating Premier League teams - both in this competition and the Europa League.

This show is a bit of a trifle. But it is nice to see Alana de la Garza again. And I have always liked Ioan Gruffud.

I enjoyed Wes in the first episode. He makes for a much more compelling audience surrogate than Quinn on Scandal! It'll be interesting to see his journey from naif to murder cover-upper.

So, both of the derbies finished 1-1. Interesting. Jagielka's goal to equalize for Everton took my breath away. JustaPerson, I was at work, checking my Twitter feed during that semi-final. After goal, #5, I closed the feed because I didn't want to see how embarrassing it was going to get.

Random question: did Olivia ever find out that Fitz was the one who revealed her as his secret lover to the press? That was such a big plot point at the start of S3, but like most things on this show, it ended up not mattering in the long run.

Viola Davis drew me into this character immediately. I'm keen to find out more about her life - her marriage, and her extra-marital activities, as well as how she became a lawyer and came to be at her firm. Did the pilot give any indication whether she was a partner?

When the camera panned to the other 3 - that's when I started tearing up.

Merseyside Derby this weekend, and I'm just going ahead and write it off as an Everton loss. They've just been so bad in this early part of the season (not that Liverpool has been much better). But, playing them at Anfield? Yeah - just not seeing a win. Also known as the only game people will remember from the 2014 World Cup.

I like Olivia & Jake's chemistry, but yeah, I can't help but laugh at the idea that he's the good guy - the safe choice. It's stuff like that that makes me think the writers are trolling the audience.

My God, Viola Davis was wonderful in this. I'll probably continue to watch just for her. I couldn't make myself care one iota about that aspirin murder plot. Ditto the dead body the students were trying to get rid of. They bugged. I wanted less of them and more of Annalise. I also enjoyed seeing Tom Verica as her husband. Have always liked him.

Hey - Harrison finally got a back story. Too bad he had to die first. Not a bad season opener. Mellie was fun. I still hate Huck.

Re-watched the finale & it was more laughably bad than even I remembered.

Yeah, I will always be amused that Olivia ran off with the guy who a) co-stalked her with Fitz, and b) put his hands around her neck just one episode before they flew off to "stand in the sun together." The aggressive stupidity and fuckery of this show really is a sight to behold.

I adore Nicole Beharie in this role. She is a fresh and engaging presence. And the character of Abby gives me pure joy.

Same here. I "awwwwed" out loud when they hugged.

I enjoyed that ep. so much. But if Katrina is a witch, why can't she magic herself out of the Horseman's lair?
