  1. I know some people didn't like the way they handled that, but I was always of the opinion it's one of the nicest ways to handle a real life tragedy of a cast member.
  2. I don't think it's worth it. I have just past shoulder length, fine hair and the bulkyness of the device makes it really hard to use. My Instyler and straightener are a lit easier and actually work.
  3. Well not all family. One half tried to kill me (not hyperbole), the other half all died before I was 35, so no, they're not all eternal. My retirement through work has lasted longer than my dad. I personally can't stand the Verizon vs. Sprint back and forth. Yeah, Verizon is way too expensive, and maybe Sprint covers 98 or 99% of the same area, but if your house happens to be in one of those areas then it kinda matters.
  4. Heh, I'm one of the few people I know who is not a fan of belgian chocolate (truly I cannot stand it). I do like Swiss, but I've had better US chocolate from small batch companies.
  5. I actually thought Carter was perfect for ER specialty. GP would always be too bland and would never really have an impact on a patient's life yet something like surgery is too remote. Emergency medicine can truly be both with the right physician. Did I have an UO for this show? I feel like at the time I have no idea, maybe that I liked Chloe. I didn't want her on all the time, but she was interesting (the actress annoys me though). Now, probity UO is that Weaver annoys me. Always has.
  6. OMG, I never caught that. I think part of my brain just exploded!
  7. Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer. Everyone I know swears by it, Ali it felt to me was greasy and watery. In also not a huge fan of MAC. I have couple and have tried some other stuff, but I don't get it. And their lipsticks seem sticky to me. My other two I've mentioned elsewhere: facial sheets (too big and too gloopy) and matte lipsticks (they all feel like my lip is encased in something).
  8. No, not at all - I deliberately looked it up to get it right and then didn't!! Argh!
  9. Whoops! Fixed that. In my head I typed it right, not so much in reality.
  10. Yeah, Peter and Elizabeth were great together, but I don't fault the show for that. While I never thought Michael Michele was a bad actress this is not the first show that she has been on that the audience took issue with her acting (she was pretty roundly despised on Homicide as well). Abby is the reason I stopped watching this show. My gosh, the endless melodramatic family angst was mind-numbing. For a long while it seemed like every. single. thing. was about her. I just couldn't anymore. I can't remember when exactly I bailed, but after reading some brief episode descriptions on wikipedia it must have been around season 12-13. I have some vague recollections of Stamos, but none of Angela Bassett's character (which I kinda regret).
  11. I completely forgot about so much of this show. Dr. Swift is pretty great. Since I don't remember him at all I keep waiting for the "he's really evil" trope that is so prevalent now to happen. I always liked Tag - I felt bad for him. I also tended to like Doug's short-term girlfriends. The HR lady, the rich chick who "kept" him, I guess this was before the time when all the people who got in between the meant-to-be couple had to be bitches/assholes. I still vividly remember the stabbing scene and when Carter looks at Lucy and then having to wait a week for the next episode. Am I the only one who starts reading up on characters, actors while watching? I always wish they had done an episode about the background characters: Haleh, Lydia, Jerry, Malik, Bob... I want a write up of what happened to them. Did Malik ever get a raise so he didn't have to do drug-trial testing? Did Bob ever sit for boards? These are things I want to know.
  12. So I'm trying to fight the urge to buy the See's Easter eggs!! The ones with the nuts and cherries, so good. Unfortunately, my browser and facebook remembers when I bought them the past few years and keeps tempting me. Will power is not my strong suit.
  13. Really??!? I'm going to file that away for future (just in case) use.
  14. The credit card thing works only if the curved portion of the door knob button (not sure if that's the actual name) is the side you're going in from. And you have to go kind of slow and steady in my experience.
  15. Ugh, cauliflower is one food I cannot stand. In any form. The very thought of it makes me nauseous. I've tried it cheesy (the one thing cheese can't fix!), riced, fried, baked as pizza crust... nope.
  16. That was a very nice change of pace. I also liked the female marshal essentially tell them that they needed to handle the shit, but her ass wasn't moving regardless and no one (including them) was getting in that cockpit.
  17. Really, Archie's wrong but not Jughead? They're both acting pretty similar to me. Jughead is a 16? year old kid who loves his dad and is trying to stand by him and be loyal. Archie is a 16? year old kid who loves his dad and is trying to stand by him and be loyal. Jughead in the past has thought that Fred is being unfair to his dad and defends him and from his point of view and what he knows I can get that. Archie thinks that the serpents are sabotaging his dad's livelihood and everything he has worked for and when he goes to confront the gang (stupid, but he's a teenager) finds out that his best friends dad is part if the group he thinks is hurting his dad and I get that. From his point of view and what he knows he see's a guy who is an alcoholic, pretty shitty husband and father (Mama jughead did abandon her oldest to leave him and the guy apparently was the worse alternative compared to living in a drivein and a school), I get that he's shocked, pissed and hurt. Quite frankly, they are both acting exactly what I would expect in a 16 year old boy who is trying to defend the one actual parent they have. And Polly is an idiot for choosing the probably sociopathic Blossoms over her crazy mom.
  18. For Criminal Minds the poc are Adam Rodriguez, Damon Gupton (both new this season), and Aisha Tyler (New last season). All are regulars but not really leads, though that might be due to their newness, Tyler seems to be a not every episode regular. Shemar Moore left last season. He was definitely a lead.I haven't watched CM Beyond Birders that much, but I know there is at least one poc, but at least for now that is Gary Sinise's show. NCIS LA has LL Cool J. Only person of color as a regular, but certainly a lead along with fellow original cast member Chris O"Donnell.
  19. I thought this too!! I mean, I actually like Anna (and I like her with Callen), and I didn't even really like Joelle to be honest, but the whole revisitng and clearing of emotional wounds or whatever the point of him just showing up at her house is ridiculous. For those who enjoy the actress who plays Nell, you need to check out "A Cricket's Tale" form this season't It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Warning, it is a VERY different show than this one. Seriously.
  20. I used to hate watch General Hospital. Then it turned to hate. Then it turned to a reading consuming fire deep in my soul. All do to the characters. I miss GH!! :(
  21. How is it any different than Sam and Jada? Sam led her on, while married, and she fell in love with him. He also seemed to have feelings, if not love, for her. They're all spies essentially. They may go by "agents" but they're expected to put on an persona, a falsehood to those around them, including those they love. Sam, Michelle, and Callen all put on a front, albeit one she apparently knew about, for Joelle and she did the same. No one has clean hands, everyone was doing "their job", and all are pretty fucking hypocritical, but Hetty is the only one throwing "bitch" around. Personally, I think Hetty might need to look in the mirror a bit.
  22. Yep. That line felt really out of place and very hypocritical.
  23. I know I'm the only one, but I like Archie and his chemistry with the others (now that the little paedophile teacher was ditched in pretty good). Hell I like all of them (well not some off the parents). What I don't like is the Betty/Jughead romance. I also wish Reggie was featured a little more. I also am a little shocked Jughead left the car unattended to go get the sheriff (I know betty did too, that didn't surprised me). If you texted the guy have him come out there after texting him the photos!! Mom and dad Cooper are screwed when those kids turn 18. Hope that vendetta was worth losing your daughters over.
  24. Very much agree, especially with what I highlighted. To the actors, director, writer, cinematographer, etc it may be art. It may reflect whatever profound truth they are trying to make about society. To the studio it's a numbers game. Maybe they're screwing themselves in the long game (bad press, negative feeling from audience that translates to negativity about future products) but it's still about the money. While I know crap about Ghost in the Shell and what little I read on Wikipedia does make ScarJo seem like an... odd choice to represent Japan (truthfully I got to anime and gaming and part of my brain shut down), from a "she's a name, she's hot, she's done action/adventure" stand point, I get it, especially if the studio is focused on domestic gross.
