  1. Unless you're Heathcliff............... or Garfield (90% of the time).
  2. Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic) has spent the last several Decembers reviewing Disney stuff (what he calls Disneycember), from the animated theatrical releases (Little Mermaid. Lion King) to the Disney Direct-to-DVD sequel craze Disney had during the 90's - 00's. This past December, of course, was DCOM Disneycember. Some of the best ("Twitches was better than I thought it would be.") and not-so-best ("Cheetah Girls??? Why??") reviewed by a man that admits he's way too old to be watching this stuff.
  3. The Net 2.0 - the film never got much buzz; once again, casting is very important. I know most of you millennials never probably saw the original but is anyone looking forward to Bruce Willis in Death Wish (2018)??
  4. How ironic that the subtitle is "I'd like to buy a vowel". I have noticed that at least 5 times a month I have seen a person guess the puzzle immediately after buying vowels. In all fairness, maybe the contestants don't know the answer until the vowels are revealed, and they don't want to risk spinning again to recuperate the money only to land on a bad wedge. Who knows? Maybe she didn't know the first word was "pepperoni" Wayne Campbell: "Yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt."
  5. OK, here's some more............. Shock Treatment (1964) - In order to find a million dollars, Roddy McDowall must be institutionalized. Shock Treatment (1981) - Less than stellar sequel to Rocky Horror. At least the guy who played Riff Raff (who wrote the songs for both movies) appears in this film as well. Suicide Squad (1935) - Is a firefighter a true hero or a "grandstanding four-flusher"?? (What does that even mean??) Suicide Squad (2016) - Several of DC Comics bad guys save the world (and Joker gets most of his scenes cut)
  6. It looks like some people have been watching "Adam Ruins Everything".
  7. and yes, not only was that Russell doing the voice of the Ray, but that was also Grant, Stephen, and Melissa doing the voices of the evil trio as well. Awesome!!!!
  8. It is also believed (but not confirmed) that he has made "contributions" to Warner Brothers and/or to the actual Batman movie projects. Speaking of which: He has also appeared in 1995's Batman Forever (I have no idea where; it's been awhile) 1997's "Batman & Robin" (He's one of the three guys bidding on the hot girls and eventually Poison Ivy before Clooney whips out his Bat Credit Card) The Dark Knight Rises (One of the board members) and he has now appeared in Batman Vs Superman (Surprise!! He's one of the members of Congress in the big Washington "kill them all" scene). and he voiced the (Texas??) territorial governor in the Jonah Hex episode of BTAS. Big Batman fan, indeed. I'm actually surprised he was "NOT" in Justice League.
  9. There's an entire TV Trope page dedicated to this as well. Josie and The Pussycats in Space Gilligan's Island in Space Yogi Bear in Space etc. etc. etc. Time "jumps" are yet another TV Trope (ALIAS, Desperate Housewives) although some sci-fi shows do resort to actual time travel (Looking at you, LOST) when they have "painted themselves into a corner" and are not clever enough to write a resolution and just wish to "reboot" everything and almost literally start over. I've practically sworn off of many MARVEL comics thanks to rebooting, now this. and much like Desperate Housewives and ALIAS, I'm (probably) going to keep watching this until the end, but, much like those shows, I'm really going to be shaking my head more while watching this now.
  10. I'm not entirely certain but maybe one of these three: The Current War Cumberbatch as Edison and Nicholas Hoult as Tesla (and yes, it says that it has not been released yet, but, at the time of filming this episode, it was going to be released around right now) (The, ahem, "problems" featuring Harvey Weinstein has delayed the release of this film) The Men Who Built America Edison and Tesla play predominant roles in the third chapter despite not getting top billing alongside the "Titans of Industry". and there is an episode of "American Genius" that features their war.
  11. "Quick, Robin!!! We need to analyze the Bat DNA Results!!! Let us go to the Bat Computer and look at the Bat TV Monitor!!!" That show was even more ridiculous when you realize that only the two of them were ever in the cave. (In-Universe) There was really no need to label everything in the cave. (Sigh) I miss Adam West.
  12. Amazingly, earlier, on a different network, Dembe was trapped in an airtight refrigerated truck, and that show was pointing out, as well, that dying from the carbon monoxide levels would occur long before the oxygen would be depleted. Thank you; you guys are definitely "NOT" like "Zoo" or "Scorpion" or..............
  13. Just commenting on two "banter" moments and adding my own 2 cents: First, arguing about whether it was Wolf Man or Wolfmann ----- let's face it, musical artists tend to mumble their lyrics ocasionally. From "Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy" to "Alex The Seal" to "There's A Bathroom on the Right" There are web pages, a book was written, and Wayne and Garth did a Top 5 List on SNL devoted to this. Second, the Scorpion team was upset over the bumper intro to the "Ghost Grabbers" show. How many times have we seen a promo for the next episode (or the bumper intro) of a reality show (or even a scripted show) falsely advertise something by taking dialogue out of context or splicing together dialogue that occurs far apart from each other? Mind you, this is a group of "brainiacs" who probably don't spend much time watching TV.
  14. Grundy is (technically) not a Batverse Rogue. Grundy first fought Alan Scott, the original Golden Age Green Lantern (wow, enjoy this comic page from yesteryear). That, of course, is no big deal for the DC Live-Action TV Universe (wow, that's a mouthful) who, obviously, has had several Batverse Rogues, including Mr. Al Ghul and his daughter Talia, show up in that other show fighting Mr. Queen. As a matter of fact, it's "Hilarious In Hindsight" that Grundy has his "origin" episode happen in a pre-Batman Gotham because the comics (much much later) ret-conned Alan Scott's story to have him protecting Gotham City long before Batman appears.
  15. It's highly doubtful that the Rescue Rangers exist in the same universe, seeing as though some of the adversaries of the Rescue Rangers are human, like Professor Nimnul. That, however, did not stop the small digest book called Disney Adventures from concocting a huge ultra mega crossover event called "The Legend of The Chaos God", which told a mega ultra story that involved the characters from Talespin, Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Ducktales and Darkwing Duck. (what, no Gargoyles??)
  16. Taylor Swift has included band members from "Right Said Fred" in the credits for "Look What You Made Me Do". Just when you thought that silly song was gone and forgotten. Taylor's song: Right Said Fred
  17. Some people claim that Kevin started this "tradition" when they were working on the first animated movie "Mask of The Phantasm". It makes the joke even funnier knowing that the lead female character in the movie was also named Andrea. He (apparently) started this while doing the Stay-alive moan in a fight between Batman and The Phantasm which makes the whole [sexual tone] even more hilarious. Meanwhile, (back in Gotham City), "So, we wanted to make an episode in which we would follow the gun that killed Bruce's parents as it got passed from one owner to another and then eventually to the man who killed Bruce's parents. We were also working on an episode starring Nocturna (urggh, I remember her; that pseudo-vampire woman who (I think) briefly adopted J.T. and just made Bruce's life more complicated than it needed to be), only, in the episode, she's a real vampire, and she makes Batman into a vampire. Fox Kids said NO".
  18. Weird Al says his next tour (The Ill-Advised Vanity Tour) will be scaled back: Less parodies (and costumes in which he tries to look like said parodied artist) More "original" songs (It's been a while since he performed "Midnight Star" or "Melanie") and smaller venues (Due to the fact that only "die-hard" fans will be attending).
  19. When Strucker contacted Marco on the phone, the ringtone was the first few notes of the 90's X-Men cartoon. And another Stan Lee LMD shows up at the diner (oh wait, according to GotG 2, "Stan Lee" is a celestrial being, I forgot). The X-Men are missing, but Deadpool will probably make a cameo (via TV monitor) during sweeps. "Don't you just hate these cheap cameos? You're expecting a lot more, but then nothing happens."
  20. VH1, back when they were playing music. also have a non-stop group of "100 Greatest" lists that would take 5 hour long episodes each (100 Greatest Artists, 100 Greatest Albums, 100 Greatest Songs, etc. ...... ) Here is a page showing the list of VH1's All Time Greatest One Hit Wonders (From "Kung Fu Fighting" to The "Macarena") Here is the page dedicated to the 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders from just the 1980's (From "You're A Friend of Mine" to "Come On, Eileen) and apparently, VH1 only did a Top 40 (???) list of Greatest One Hits from the 90's (From "Whoomp!! (There It Is)" to "Baby Got Back") Please take note that these lists came out at different times and thus, some songs, artists, and music genres were subject to different appeal at times; which would explain how some songs are in different positions on the charts. (Most noticeable is how "Baby Got Back" is #1 on the 90's chart while "Macarena" is #1 on the "All Time" list and only #4 on the 90's list.)
  21. So a millennial saw the guy who lived in the tent the whole season and said "What a great idea".
  22. So now Mc-Danno wants to open up a restaurant as well. The two of them fight so much already, I can just picture all the "hilarity" happening this season as they argue about everything from the color of the walls to the items on the menu (which should be a different font type). And BTW, between Pryde and his restaurant, the zombie restaurant, and now this, I think this is the "new" plot device used by Hollywood writers. Chin Ho (and I guess Kono) are now in San Fran and he is in charge of his own task force. I know (obviously) we will never see it, but it would (in universe) make it easier for them to work with NCIS:LA. That was the most ridiculous climax that I have seen since................ well, I have been watching "Zoo", soooo, about three weeks ago.
  23. RIP Boat Captain. (9th photo down) Attractive young women with no discernible talent will truly wonder what to do with their lives now.
  24. Jeff now says he wants to stay in Fuji "forever". The previous two seasons, the brand new one in a few days, and the one eventually in the spring have all been filmed in Fuji already. I realize that (according to Jeff) several of the previous locals are no longer viable (political unrest, weather patterns), but The only thing that made this show not seem redundant IMO was at least switching to different locals. Having the same "personalities" doing the same things now in the same local will just make this show "decay" even faster. I'm going to get sick and tired of Fuji eventually.
